Best animal rescue I have been to we have rescued 2 rabbits in the past, they don't believe in putting animals to sleep unless the animal can't lead a good life, it's a great place to adopt a animal from, but you will be vetted strongly so do not feel insulted, as they are very thorough in what they do , that's why I give 5 stars

Lovely, dedicated staff who put their time into looking after so many animals. We had our bunny bonded with one of their rescues on site and they couldn’t have done anything better - absolutely brilliant and a very happily ever after for our two now.

I am currently fostering a cat for them and they’ve been so amazing and supportive and really made sure the cat would be well taken care of, it’s my first time fostering and it’s so so rewarding to be able to help a little animal in need I highly recommend if people have the space and time to get involved in fostering ❤️

An animal rescue centre on the outskirts of Liverpool (they have centre in North Wales ad well), they staff are friendly and extremely helpful, they guided us through the process of adopting a dog, they made sure we were suitable for the dogs needs and that the dog bonded with us. We now have a wonderful little dog. The team at Freshfields do a wonderful job, ensuring animals in their care have wonderful and hopefully find a forever home

This place is very close to my heart, having got 2 rescue cats almost 15 years ago (one of them sadly had to be put to sleep). They have helped many a time with hedgehogs that needed treating + also a stray cat that turned up on my doorstep. The staff are dedicated + I cannot thank them enough for the amazing job they do.

Went in to visit Freshfields Animal rescue, together with lots of kids. The team of staff/volunteers were AMAZING and friendly, and obviously expert in their field. The whole Rescue centre is clean, tidy, and all the animals are lovingly looked after. Every animal is called by name, and has a safe place to call home while they await their transition from homeless to adopted. This would be the first place I would go when looking to adopt.

The help and support these guys offer animals, for all sorts of reasons, is amazing. We have rescued 3 dogs now and they come so happy after being with the angels in Freshfield Animal Rescue. It's fantastic.

This is a place with an excellent record of caring for and rehoming abandoned or neglected pets. They also look after various injured wildlife. I have had 2 dogs from them after they have inspected my home and garden to make sure they are suitable. I also visit occasionally to drop off newspapers and old towels and blankets which they need.

Freshfields animal rescue centre is a marvellous place that does incredibly important work. They clearly care about all the animals and they are all appear to be well looked after. There's plenty of space and they have a wide variety of different types of animals. Occasionally they have special open days with themes, and they are all well worth attending. Do yourselves and the animals a big favour and take the family down there.

In my spare time I go and walk the dogs and play with the cats and every time I have been the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Joe in the cattery is really welcoming and even took the time out to show me and my boyfriend around. What they provide for all their animals is fantastic!! If anyone doesn't have a dog but wants to help walk a few, or loves kitten cuddles, I definitely recommend here!

My wife and i have adopted 3 rabbits in the past from freshfields liverpool and i have nothing but admiration for all the team up there, who care for so many abandoned and unwanted animals even through the difficult times that all shelters go through. Always a nice welcome when we visit and its always a pleasure to go up there. awesome !!!

Lovely place, worthy of the recent award they won. Sadly, we didn't find the forever buddy for our lab here as he didn't get on with any if the dogs we selected, however, their process is thorough and geared towards putting the right animal in the right home, and we were really impressed with the level of care, and obviously genuine affection shown to the animals there.

I found an extremely sick pigeon in the park and contacted Freshfield. They couldn’t have been more helpful and animal friendly! They were happy to treat the bird and were extremely helpful with providing directions etc. Barbara took the pigeon and was eager to treat him immediately. This charity is a lifeline for ALL animals unlike other so called animal charities. I shall be donating to them for all their dedication and care towards animals.

Fantastic animal rescue centre. We adopted one rabbit from Pets at Home and were looking for another rabbit to bond her with. For a much smaller adoption fee than we were expecting Freshfields were happy to look after our rabbit and try bonding her with theirs one at a time - she now has a happy partner! Staff were consistently nice and knowledgeable, and I really appreciate that they try their best to make sure that adopted pets find a good home rather than just giving them to anyone who walks in.

I picked the hedgehog up today from The Animal Sanctuary, he has been in there for two months as he was very poorly. Thank you to the wildlife staff for helping him recover. I will release him tonight back into the wild. xxx

Found a kitten in my work, fed it for a few days to get her fattened up and healthy again. Contacted freshfield sanctuary and they handled everything perfect. When I handed Shadow (because she was literally everyones shadow in work, she just walked out the catbox with so much confident it was unreal.

We went up to give shredding and old blankets and towels.. Cant be lieve they have 46 cats, bunnies budgies and dogs and more.Staff all working very hard very friendly and knowledgeable some reserved cats which was lovely to see.

We adopted a dog about 15 years ago theo a patterdale he was a fantastic little fellow. We took him to live in tenerife and he had a great life. Freshfields is a great place staff lovely and they really care about the animals thanks freshfield for giving us the opportunity to have such a great dog
