Reviews of Acton Library
B.Has a good and versatile selection of books ranging from beloved classics and informative study guides for GCSE, A level and many other exam boards and qualifications. However, not the best library for quiet study or work as often there are play/nursery groups that do singing and reading aloud which may be disruptive to some. Study areas are also next to the kids section where many toddlers and young children play in which adds to background noises. Overall, a generally nice library but not the best for quiet study.
H. C.Lovely building, books and facilities. Unfortunately its spoiled by the behaviour that is allowed to go on, people playing tv aloud on their phones etc. staff never say anything. Also, the toilets are permanently locked because there were incidents with drug addicts using them. Understandable but instead of giving respectable users of the library the code, they make you go to the next floor. A bit of an insult and lowering the standards for everybody.
N. S.Charging points for lap top or phone. Wifi available with a simple membership set up. Computer use is high so its better to do your research using your own device backed up by free wifi and power points.
