I have always enjoyed coming here to collect books or DVDs, bring my daughters to play or read. The place is very clean (including the toilets), staff are helpful yet strict (which I appreciate), and we'll stocked. I find it very convenient to pick up my reserved items on mu way to and from work. The children's group activities are pretty good and my daughters have always enjoyed coming here. I love the old building as it creates a great ambience.

Very well stoked library, with a great team allways ready to help. The children's librarian is amazing, she has a voice of an angel. Kids allways have tons of fun there.

Great variety 3-9 age children's books. Easy way to borrow or return books, quiet atmosphere and very helpful staff. During pandemic we enjoyed the ability to reserve books online and received timed communications via email when books were ready to collect. The online search, suggestions of books could be improved.

This is by far the best public library I’ve found in London. It has ample desks for working at (with plug sockets) in a quiet area. The selection of books is vast and well chosen. The library overall is peaceful, clean and helpful. Yes, the WiFi is not ideal but it’s a nice place to work offline for a bit.

A great little library in a nice setting. I love going here not only due to its close proximity to my home, but also because of the nice atmosphere in the library itself. Always calm and relaxing, and great service from the staff. They can also be kind when it comes to borrowing books.

I often go there because it's got one of the biggest study rooms in London, I mean, not many libraries have so much space in their study rooms. Also, the study room is well separated from children's room. It's an issue in many smaller libraries but not in this one even if they're having one of those gatherings with loud shrieking children. The desks have their own separation so you're feel comfortable within the space of a desktop provided. Also, half of the seats have a power socket on the desktop! However, because it's a large hall with 60-80 seats avalable (probably more), noise levels are often an issue. Most people are ignorant. I've seen man young kids come there only to avoid studying and keep bickering amongst themselves. I always take a pair of ear plugs and headphones because it helps to phase the noise out. I think food rules should be a lot more strict as I personally hate sitting next to sb munching a pack of crisps as if there's a movie on. The library staff could prevent this by monitoring thr hall and people's desks.

Lovely spot for studying or just to have some peace and quiet. staff is very friendly and helpful. The building, once very stylish and imposing, unfortunately is currently long due for renovation.

The reference library is wonderful - I just wish it kept the longer hours but do understand why not. Availability of computers, printers, WiFi & power points plus helpful, patient staff & so much desk space make it a great working environment.

I'm resident in Clapham Common since 1996 but use this library since Clapham library moved to a new building. This library has got everything that Clapham library misses despite the huge cost of its new but awful design. Clapham library's magazine section has slowly and now totally disappeared, the space for reading and studying is now even less than in the previous building and the furniture is of an inconsistent design, an appalling bad quality and grotty ambience welcomes peo plle in the computer areas, finally the open plan design makes it impossible to concentrate when the children's session is on. Battersea Library may be of an old fashioned design but has got a quite area for studying, a separate one for children, 3 toilets, all the main magazines. Thank you for welcoming this "refugee" from Clapham Common.

Have fond memories of the amazing Children's Library as an infant, through to using the Reference section during my degree years of study, and now for the Computer section which is very handy. Accessible to all in a grand listed building we have to treasure this unique place in the heart of Battersea - a gem of the Wandsworth borough.
