Really enjoyed our time here!
My boys did a two hour sessions, the first hour was clay modelling and then they had a go at turning on a potters wheel. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, the ladies that worked there were super helpful and friendly. I even had a go on the potters wheel. Still loving the creations we made.

Did an amazing one day wheel throwing course here today, very friendly and helpful staff. Really accommodating and patient with teaching the techniques and a lovely homely vibe to learn in. Only slight downside is the giant window means passersby are understandably intrigued and tend to stare in! I'd really recommend the course to anyone from a total beginner (like me) to anyone wanting to spend some time out improving the basics.

I took the beginners course last year and i thought it excellent! Came away learning lots of different techniques, and a very nice vase now on my mantelpiece (figuratively speaking). Teacher and staff all very nice and friendly. And was allowed as much time on the wheel as i wanted; so much fun and yet more difficult than i expected - will have to go back for more!

The Beginners 6 week pottery course was a really lovely introduction into pottery and ceramics, and has made me want to further pursue my new found skills! Well worth the money. And being able to take my pieces home at the end added to the sense of achievement. Thanks to everyone at ClayTime for giving me such a positive experience! I will be back. :)

What an amazing place in North London ! You can drop in to paint or learn how to use the wheel. I love the bowl I made there and I will definitely go back. Great for kids as well: many different items to paint and lots of colors available !

A creative gem on Blackstock Rd. From ceramic painting on already made object to make your own in the wheels, Claytime caters for all creativity levels. Experienced and very friendly staff will make your visit even more enjoyable. I love using the bowls, plates, egg holder my kids made/painted. Definitely book some time, go with friends or family and spend a relaxing creative time.

We arrived on time For a two hour "all in one" session that was to include, hand building pots wheel throwing and glazing. The cost was £29 per child. Children were given a small peice of clay and shown how to make coil pots (takes ages to make coils and is quite boring and repetative). I think they would do better to encourage children to make a piece of creative sculpture.
My son was desperate to use the wheel, but I was told this would take about 5 mins. When he did get his turn I felt the lady that was showing him was quite impatient with him and not encouraging or particularly nice. The children were finished with thier coil pots and glazing after an hour or so..we were told " you can just go then"
The next batch of people arrived before our session was finished. It felt like a conveyor belt.
Overall, I think its overpriced for what it is. And that the staff don't really like children.
Maybe better for adults. Or really talented children that will follow throwing instructions with zero problems.

Did the beginners throwing course, Adele was a brilliant teacher and it was a really fun and creative experience! Also got to keep 6 pieces as part of the course, perfect for Christmas presents!

I came across Claytime by passing by and it is a great new community place for ceramic. They have a great mission and will do great things! Go if you are in London and looking to get your hands on the wheel.

Excellent place to learn wheel throwing pottery, whether a one day course or over a period of time. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere. I think price is high, as you have to pay twice if you make from scratch, come again and to paint it. Prices have gone up.

I loved it. Did the 5 week beginners course. The teachers know what they are talking about and will give you feedback on your ideas so that they come out well. You finish the course with 5 fired & glazed pieces, including pinch & coil pots, a large slab vase and pots thrown on the wheel. You can make more (if you have time) but pay an extra £5 for each extra piece you want to fire.
