It's a fairly decent size for a chess board, it’s good and I love it, you can carry it anywhere if you have a backpack, but I love this.

I've had the chance to try the company and the product twice, and it was a very good experience. In one occasion I had to cancel an order that I have put and paid for because I have had received the product as a gift - contacted Customer Support in kaoori and I had a refund promptly without problems - in fact, the company was kind enough to offer me a discount. Then, I had a second order, a beautiful set of chess Staunton pieces order, which was delivered promptly, in mint condition and was exactly as described. Hence, for me, that was an excellent buying experience and hence the five stars.

At first I was surprised at how large the pieces are -- all my previous sets have been *tiny* in comparison. Even my fairly nice wooden set has pieces that are light and will fall over if the table is bumped. Not this set. These pieces feel solid in the hand, don't wobble when the card table is bumped, and satisfyingly stay in place where you set them. I really enjoy leaving this set out in the living room as I practice various chess lessons.

This is a limited edition DGT clock endorsed by FIDE for chess tournaments and other games. It has all the varying time controls one could meet in OTB chess and it works perfectly. It even has the ability to connect to an eboard via a cable ( not supplied) which in turn can be connected to the internet so that matches played, using the eboard, can be followed online.

Glad to know that beautiful, classic clocks like this are still being made. A digital clock is probably better if you play bullet or blitz chess. Also, keep in mind that competitive chess rules now require digital clocks, so you won't be able to use this analog clock in tournaments -- which is a real shame, because I much prefer the beauty and aesthetic of this analog clock! Will be using this one for all my casual games in the future.
