R. T.Great free facility with helpful staff and usually quiet. One of the very few free public spaces left in Lambeth recently saved by a strong campaign to save it from closure. Free internet access available and different languages catered for.
A. R.We used to be regular visitos and always had a great time with staff giving extra attention to our little one. We returned to South Lambeth library after lock-down and realised that we should have booked a slot online. The very helpful staff completely saved the day by asking for preferences and selecting a big range of books for our 2 year old. They even gave us an activity pack with little books to keep for good. Wonderful!
L. M.Had to print some pages quite quickly. Called in and the lovely staff booked a slot at the computers for me, created a library card and explained how the process worked. Very helpful when I visited and got everything done swiftly. Great service for the community!
H. H. C.Friendly, calm and helpful staff. I find that they are knowledgeable and do spend the time to help you. They focus on each individual helping you fully before moving on to the next person.
The library is a nice space to work in. The quieter section where the the adult books are has tables spaced out and the children's section has some tables pushed together. This is great when working with more than one child and encourages groups of children to do their homework together. There are also soft furnishings and another section gor younger children.
I would definitely recommend this over Clapham library in terms of accessibility and positive learning environment.

Free and easy to sign up, so long as you have proof of address. Staff are very helpful and patient, always happy to help.
Once signed up you can check out books, use the computers for 2hrs a day, print for 10p black and white and 20p colour, and have full use of WiFi. WiFi is reliable and has decent speeds (~10 Mb/s) good for remote desktop.
Book selection is fine, but limited as expected of a smaller local library.

The staff in the library are very helpful and kind.
Although it is a small library, they have many books and of course if you can't find what you're looking for, the staff can order it for you from another library.
-.Great local library but if you prefer hassle-free digital delivery, you can join the library online. Then pop in here with your ID and ask staff about signing up for RB Digital. This enables you to read the latest issue of many magazines on your smartphone, tablet or laptop for free.

V. T.Best place to study nice and friendly atmosphere at the heart of Lambeth Borough. I'm enjoy going there best place to meet new people if you are quite sociable or you can sit on the table chair use your own PC free WiFi with your membership ID or Library PC if you're library membership log-in credentials. Needs to explore much more. Considerably more helpful for self study student during their examination.
J.It's a beautiful building, warm and full of light on a winter's day. The staff are helpful and there is a great children's area. A wonderful local resource and one that needs to be kept.
