We had a fantastic experience with Flooring 568 at every stage of our carpet project. In store Mohamed was very friendly and helpful but also gave us our own space to take our time to look at all the options available. The measuring and quote was free and when it came to the fitting it was all done to a really high standard. We are really happy with the end result and would definitely recommend Flooring 568!

Excellent family run carpet and flooring shop. They have a huge range of carpets and flooring on offer. They did a superb job fitting laminate in our hallway and my son's bedroom, which is no easy task as despite being a relatively recently built property some of the walls and corners are not quite straight and there are places where there are different thicknesses of skirting board adjoined together. Not the cheapest by any means but it is worth it, trust me, and we will be returning to them in future to do the rest of the house. I just wish we had known about Surplus city when we moved here five years ago and not wasted money on another shop (who will remain nameless) and their rubbish fitting service.

Excellent service from start to finish. Delay to fitting due to COVID restrictions, but once supplies were in, the team were prompt to secure a fitting date. A wide selection of engineered wood options and very competitively priced. The fitting team were very good, clearly experienced, showing attention to detail and set on delivering a high quality finish. Would not hesitate to recommend and use again.

Very good company, the sales manager went out of his way to make sure we chose the right product for area During the lockdown, we were kept up to date with the progress of our order as the factory was in lockdown. On the installation day, the carpet arrived a day before as arranged with the sales manager. The installer arrived on the time advised and progressed diligently in a professional manner, no qualms or complaints. Treated my house with the utmost respect, on completion tidied your every where and left the off cuts as agreed.

Great selection of carpets at various prices and a really good range of styles, colours and patterns. The staff are always friendly, helpful and obliging. They gave us great advice whilst we were choosing and were very accomodating around samples. The fitters are efficient, pleasant and have done a great job. Really neat work finished to a very high standard. We would highly recommend Surplus City to anyone looking at flooring or carpets. Our whole house (apart from one floor) has been supplied by them! We found these guys while looking for somewhere who could lay flooring in the housing association flat we had just signed for - council and housing association homes are often let out with the old flooring just ripped up (not sure why they do this), and the new tenant is expected to find the money to re-floor the place. In a one bedroom flat a basic job can cost well over £1000, going up for larger homes, and is often a sudden 'distress' purchase for a new tenant with a need to get sorted quickly before they move in. So it was with us, we did a lot of looking around but between 'chain' places not really giving us much help in our decision making and independents tending to be quite upmarket and out of our price range we were becoming a little stuck. We widened our search further south and found these guys in Dalston. They are a small company with a wide range to suit all budgets and were quite happy to spend time talking us through our options. They get a lot of customers in the wider Hackney and Dalston area in a similar boat re. new social housing tenancies and were understanding of our situation. Their prices are reasonable, especially labour. Two thumbs up to these guys - they set a date a couple of weeks ahead to suit our availability and turned up on time to do a good job in one day. Eight months on and the flooring is doing just fine under our heavy feet. Recommended.

A quick and straightforward no frills service. Fitted the carpet to spec within 2 and a half hours - looked great but then left the house covered in bits of carpet and a load of off-cuts to dispose of myself before rushing off to the next job. I would recommend Surplus City Carpets as they get the job done to an decent standard but the service lacked finesse.

Delighted with the service provided by Surplus City Carpets. Booked an appointment for them to come and measure, turned up on time, and kindly took me to their premises to select bedroom carpets. This all happened on a Monday and on Thursday morning they arrived to fit carpets. Whilst fitting realised that my current underlay was in good order and they agreed not replace the old underlay and obtained a refund later, with no hassle. Having found Surplus City Carpets originally on the website and looked at previous positive reviews, my experience is all positive and would definitely recommended

The service at Surplus City is excellent, with a great range of flooring. We were able to find the shade and weave of wool carpet we had been searching for, thanks to all the options sent by the team. We went for a Kersaint Cobb carpet for the stairs and upstairs. Needing to match the laminate already laid in the kitchen, we visited the bright and organised showroom and picked out the Grande Narrow. Within two weeks we were able to have both fittings at the same time, and complete within one day. The finish is excellent, and you can tell a lot of attention has been paid to laying the laminate perfectly. Overall, would highly recommend.
