Just had an absolutely delightful experience with Hakar from Upper Street Flooring. Hakar came out to quote on a repair job. Instead of trying to sell me work that was unnecessary, Hakar talked me through how I could do it myself and then told me stop by as he would set aside some oil for free for me to finish the job. I now wish I had an actual job to give Hakar! I know who will be on my speed dial next time I need work done. Will definitely be recommending Upper Stree Flooring to my friends.

A pleasure to work with. The staff at this shop are incredibly helpful and patient, we’ve recently fitted our five-story house with carpet runners (Tretford) and beautiful borders. We have two dogs and lots of traffic so needed something very hard wearing but also fitting with our new interiors. They have a fantastic selection in store and go out of their way to find something if they don’t have it in stock. Fitting was quick and immaculately done. We will be using them again when we do our basement flooring. Highly recommended all round.

Upper Street Carpet and Flooring installed a living room carpet and kitchen floor tiles just before the start of lockdown. Was very professionally done and very little touching up required to the paintwork afterwards. Happy with the installation. We were also happy with the service from the showroom. Upper Street Carpet and Flooring gave good advice on selecting a suitable product for each of our rooms, which meant that selecting and installing our flooring was relatively painless.

Great service from entering the store all the way until completion. Carpet was of high quality, the fitting was booked immediately and I was pleased with the end result. What really set them apart is their initial quote that included replacement of the underlay. However on the given day of work they went out of their way to advise me that my current underlay is actually in good condition and therefore will not need replacing. Effectively removing this from the quote. Their honestly and professionalism set them apart, I would highly recommend.

I went to the shop to look at carpets for a stair runner, they gave me sound advice to suit my needs and ordered the carpet I wanted very quickly. The fitting was superb. Very good attention to detail and we are really pleased with the end result. I then wanted to have the remainder of the carpet made into rugs and they sorted this out for me very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and would certainly return to them in the future.

Excellent work and very kind! I highly recommend this company. They are very understandable and considerate. Although I have the limited budget for the carpeting, they consider my situation as much as they can. In addition, i am not a native English speaker. So, sometimes, they could misunderstand my request. But through they frequently and kindly contact to me to confirm my request, they minimized communication problem and give me a satisfactory service. The installer is very kind!! At the start of 2020 I decided to decorate and refurbish my home and spent a considerable amount of time reading website reviews and visited a few carpet fitters. From my initial enquiry at Upper Street Carpet & Flooring, I was impressed by the warm welcome and professionalism of the owner, Rekar. We spent over an hour discussing my requirements and budget available. Never at any point did I feel pressurised: if anything Rekar gave me lots of information and advice to ensure I got what I was looking for. After a few emails and a further visit I opted for a more expensive carpet for my hallway which was an off-cut from a previous job and as I had two rooms carpeted at the same time I was offered a considerable discount. Everything went as planned: the fitter turned up on the date and time agreed upon and cheerfully got in with the job, cleaning up as he went along. All in all, I was completely pleased and satisfied with this company’s attitude, guidance, friendliness and professionalism and I have already decided to get my next room carpeted by them. A breath of fresh air compared to the usual apathy and surliness from other businesses. Thank you.

Changing floors can be quite stressful, however everyone in 'Upper Street Flooring' (Hakar, Rekar and staff) went out of their way to make it as seamless and easy as possible. When it comes to construction I have absolutely zero knowledge and I went to Upper Street Carpet & Flooring one to just discuss the idea and I had no idea what I needed. This is the second time we have used Upper Street Carpets in a year - the first for Karndean flooring in our (large) bathroom and the latest for plywood under flooring and fitted carpet in a 5m x 5m reception room. We would strongly recommend Paul, Rekar and their team - much better, more knowledgeable and much more flexible and responsive than John Lewis. They offer a very friendly and efficient service. Paul really knows his stuff and is an expert estimator (he spotted things John Lewis missed and offered services they didn't - e.g. door easing). Hamza is a fantastic fitter - nothing is too much trouble and the finished job is first rate. Rekar coordinates everybody so that it all works. Not quite the cheapest but great value for the great service.
