N. S.I wanted to write this review to assure readers that this is a great library, despite some of the poor reviews below. I used to come here as a child and the space itself has improved dramatically. In recent years I returned to the area and find myself here a lot. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly in my experience. I use the library to borrow books, to work from my laptop, to print using the computers, to read with my daughter, and to attend the storytime sessions. It's free and easy to become a member, there are self service machines for renewing and checking books in /out if you prefer. There are clean toilets in the building. There are a number of activities held here for kids and adults alike. This library is also open later on some days. Libraries are important for the community, so please visit! 👍🏼😊 Nadia

J. W.I have no complaints at all, only praise. The redesigned building is airy, light and comfortable. All the staff are personable, polite, helpful and patient, good with children and often with ill-tempered people; I've witnessed this a couple of times. I'm not a resident of Wanstead but I travel from Tower Hamlets because of the relaxed atmosphere in Wanstead Library. Thank you so much.

A. O.We offer free workshops at Wanstead Library and have always found the staff really helpful. The Library offers a good range of summer activities for younger kids too. It is well lit with natural light and generally a clean atmosphere. Certainly recommend

s. i.Lovely staff who go out of their way to help you and find you different options. Very covid safe. There is a new system where u have to book the computers in advance so be sure to do that before your visit of u need one.
M. B.Very friendly library, the building is nice since the latest renovation. There are lots of activities for children (space chase, healthy snack search etc.) and it's possible to borrow rubbish picker to clean up in the park.

Some of the negative reviews on here are written by disorganised people in self inflicted situations. Plan ahead. Don't make assumptions. Don't rely on other people to go out of their way when you mess up. Stop blaming others.
