I was like a kid in a sweet shop when I took my grandson in for a day ticket for Bestwood Duck Ponds. Beautiful displays of fishing tackle carp, sea, fly and coarse. Two floors I found the steps a challenge but was worth the effort. Friendly helpful staff. I haven’t used maggots for an age but got a pint of mixed as I wanted grandson to use a bait he could catch on without too much fuss. Bait was in great condition looking forward to a trip out tomos if we can get onto moor road😳

This is THE tackle shop to go to. All the other shops I've ever been to have felt like shopping in a cupboard under the stairs. Not a problem when you're 6 years old and buying a float, but when you're 50, as fat as butter and want to have a look at a big net ... you need a bit more room. This isn't even the closest tackle shop to me. In fact, I have to drive PAST a another shop to get here, but even if this was 15 miles away, it'd still be worth the extra petrol. Their on-line shop is great too. We'll laid out, tons of choice and easy to navigate. All in all, this is the way.

Great choice and less confined than other local tackle shops, prices better too. Went for a rod rest, came out with a rod, a reel, a load of lures and of course the rod rest. Had an issue with an Internet order so thought I would just go in person this time, glad I did

Store layout very smart. Ignored by three staff members. Didn't get any acknowledgment when I walked in or on leaving. No one came up to me whilst in the store which I find surprising in a tackle shop. Not just to try and be helpful but also security of items! Surprised upon reading other reviews saying helpful staff. If they are then just a little bit of further training might help?

Never been in Angling Direct before, went in because I was recommended by a friend. The place is very well stocked, very well staffed. The guy I spoke to was very knowledgeable and suggested a few pieces of tackle I was looking for. Going back on Friday.

Really good place for fishing accessories from hook to clothing and everything in-between. Good selection of baits, tin stuff, bags ground baits boilies and pellets, and lots of liquid flavours. Plus maggots chrysalis and worms, well worth a look you won't be disappointed.

Massive angling shop in Arnold just off the main Mansfield Road (opposite Home Brewery building). Loads of free parking right outside in a designated car park. Stocks all the major fishing brands and caters for the casual angler or the die hard match fisherman. Stock a full range of baits too including maggots, casters and worms as well as numerous carp baits. Plenty of staff on hand too if you need any help. They have a website too in which you can browse online and click and collect in-store. However I found this service a bit patchy hence only 4 stars but don't let this put you off a visit.

Just got back from the grand opening. What a laugh. My dog Missi was the centre of attention,which she loved. Got some goodies for my self and got more info from the lads about the new Delkim. Tracker lads where doing a good job with all Q and As. I myself like there bivvie reproff gear. Mainline baits gave me some info on the Indian spice liquid because they don't make the pop ups any more so I was chuffed at that. So all in all a go morning shopping at Angling direct thanks lads. 🤗🤗🤗
