It's the go to place in Oxford if your hobby includes Art, Painting, Handcrafts, Decoration and related things. Spread over two large floors, the store has a very good collection of everything you need to pursue these hobbies. You can also find a lot of gift stuffs, photo frames, toys and things to decorate your home. If you are someone who is interested in knitting, they have a good collection of wool and related things. The staff are very helpful, patiently address all your questions and guide you correctly. I will definitely recommend...

That's lovely staff and they sell virtually everything that you could ever won when it comes to crafting. You can literally walk around the store for hours on end looking at things to buy. My only gripe is that some of the things are quite expensive and I think some of the things overpriced may be significantly at times and that's the only reason why I have downvoted it one star.

This place is like the Disney Land for all people who into creative arts and crafts. They stock all material for sewing, baking, crafting and party, this includes all stationary and equipments. This store in particular has amazing helpful staff and seem very knowledgable.

Me personally live crafting! Walking into the shop, I was so stunning ha. So many materials for crafting, e.g. cards, knitting, tapes, scissors, sewing, painting, framing, wrapping, literally tons of items. I enjoyed my time there and got what I need! :)

Great shop with lots of items for your hobbies. We needed items for our granddaughter and looking around thought oh my goodness it will take us ages to find everything. No need to worry a lovely sales lady helped us find all the items we needed. Also we have been searching for model paint and low and behold Hobbycraft had it. We now know where to go.

I found a very unfriendly lady at the till.She did not say anything to me and did not even ask if I needed a bag since I had multiple items.After she finished scanning everything,she looked at me suggesting that I could pay.When I asked how much the total was,she only turned the till towards me and then pushed the receipt towards me after the payment.I did say goodbye but heard nothing from her.Is it not good to even smile at customers if one is mute or can't talk.I would hate to be served by her next time.I may not have checked her name but her face is stuck in my mind.

Moreover the customer service is second to none, so friendly & extremely helpful. Also the music played there is particularly fun & engaging. Parking easy and close. Found what I wanted, A1 card, upstairs and in many colours. Price what I expected. Staff friendly. No easy means of carrying many large sheets of paper inside store. Many other of their items too big to go in baskets, even the large baskets provided. Suggest think of alternatives or places customers can leave things spread around shop or something. Large bag provided which I appreciated but no handles. So better than nothing but could be better.

I absolutely love this place. I make it a point of visiting every chance I get. They have a variety of stuff that I find unique and easily available. The place is spacious and easy to move around even with my two energetic munchkins. They already have their Christmas stock out incase one wants to have a jump-start on their decor.Love it.

Love this place, it is never too busy so you can easily browse all the lovely creative products available. I usually come for knitting wool but always take a look at paper art, beads and all number of other things. Beware though, if you are into crafts you could easily spend a fortune here!!

Lots of crafting supplies here, particularly if you are looking for basic tools and supplies (it's less useful for very specialist tools, such as 2.25 mm 25 cm circulars for sock knitting, for example, and it's not the place to be looking for hand-dyed yarn either). The staff are very helpful and it's normally quite easy to find someone. They have a nice sewing section as well.

Absolutely lovely staff! Good opening times and fair range of each object. It's a huge store so if you don't find something, just ask and they'll probably have it. Down side: just like general crafting materials etc it's quite expensive, but if you're a student you can get discount which is nice. They frequently have deals so watch out for those :9 Even if it's not cheap, the price is fair for what you get and due to having some choice between brands and styles in some products, it means you can save money. Shop smart, save money. Had a lovely overall experience with Hobby Craft and their lovely staff. Hopefully you'll get a similar visit to the shop👌

Aladdin's cave was an Aladdin's cave of wonders, HobbyCraft is a close second. Lots of crafts for everyone from embroidery and x stitch, kits to DIY, or just boxes for storage. I could go on, but it's simpler to say visit and find out.

Reasonably good. The staff are rarely on hand, and it doesn't stock many of what I'd refer to as 'true' art supplies. There should be many more supplies aimed at painting, drawing and pottery before they concentrate on selling environmentally unfriendly sparkles and glitter for greetings cards.

BRILLIANT. love the place could spend a fortune in here like a child in a toy shop staff are always kind and prices are reasonable for retail.

Went for yarn, and there was quite a big selection. Lots of acrylic and wool blends (~20%) as well as a few balls of cotton. Certainly great for a standard project, but if you want something more fancy then you'll probably have to go somewhere else. There was also a great deal of other art supplies, but I don't know much about those so I can't really comment.

Hobbycraft stocks a wide range of products at competitive prices; their own-brand items offer particularly good value for money. This store is tidy and there are samples and completed makes dotted about to provide inspiration. My impression is that the papercraft range has shrunk in recent times and the shelves weren't as well stocked; I would have liked to see more scrapbooking paper and embellishments.

On entering you are greeted with an amazing array of fabrics, glues and decorations, in fact anything you may wish to paint paste or frame. Make your own cards, choose a theme or season...most of all enjoy the artistic licence and imagination this store supplies.

However, the books that i purchased for my A-level course had started to come apart as the white spirals that are on the side of the book have come loose and apart, making the book fall apart. This shop is unlikely to do well, especially tucked away in this obscure corner, unless it advertises what it sells. Much of the stuff is well beyond what would normally be called "craft". Even when you are in the shop, it looks as though the gallery upstairs is devoted to knitting wool and other women's things, but there is far more up there than that. I bet it closes down soon, which is a shame.
