Took my grand son to see santa there expensive at ,£9.99 per child and £1 adults if a family has say 4 kids..., it's stunning although its a quick walk through to get to santa I think there's an option to not see santa but not sure on that price , the chaplains store is fab cheap as chips

Went in to buy a fan that morrisons sold out of for £25. Chaplin's had fans starting from £57. Definitely taking the macca over the shortage. I decided to go without .

It is a big warehouse full of virtually everything you need for house and garden though not furniture. It is looking tired and is not particularly well laid out and could do with an upgrade as the concrete floors are worn as is the internal shelving etc. When I went it was freezing! Some of the staff were friendly and I did buy some Easter themed items to do an egg hunt and two plant pots which were all good value. Some plants in the outdoor area didn't look their best but a good range to choose from. The best bit was Bowlers Cafè, served by a lovely lady and the coffee and walnut cake was delicious.

I visited Chaplin's to purchase a few art items, the paintbrushes were good value for money but other goods would be cheaper elsewhere, I accidentally picked up an unwanted item and didn't realise till I had paid for my items, my fault entirely, I hadn't even left the store but was told I cannot be refunded but would be given a credit note...very weird way of working albeit totally within their rights. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Had a cracking breakfast at Bowlers Cafe this morning! 9 of us turned up for my boyfriend's birthday, all of us ordered food and coffees. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly and accommodating; little swaps with food items were no problem at all. Highly recommend!

So many products in this rabbit warren you could spend a lifetime looking for a bargain. It's not always clear which bits are in use, storage areas, etc. You will definitely find bargains here, but go in with a plan, or risk coming out with bags unexpectedly full!

Was directed here for allotment supplies and my goodness! It is my new trago mills of plymouth. This place is huge and really great value for money. My new allotment is looking incredible already and i have only had it two days!! Christmas stock that is going up already has caught my eye too and i think some new bits for my house is in order. Easy to find, loads of parking, very accessible for pushchairs/ wheelchairs, disabled parking bays are double the size of normal bays to make it even more accessible and easy to use. There are no parking time limits and i even spied a little cafe which i am definitely checking out next time i pop in.

Just wanted to say how lovely the staff in the garden centre were ~ everyone is very quick to complain these days... but nothing was too much trouble, even in these trying times. Paul was so knowledgeable (about a Acer I was interested in) type of soil, pot etc.. (and the 2 guys who helped me to the car). Really lovely staff and a credit to your store. Hope this gets passed on to them, really appreciated their time and help 😁

fair prices,they do not rip you off,some local shops are charging over the odds for goods. but not her that y I Keep come back for my DIY JOBS,some of the staff are friendly and sociable and helpful,sometimes the best time because all the flowers are out for sale,plus you can sit outside the cafe and have lovely coffee tea breakfast and some food Dogs are allowed outside the cafe where picnic benches are located and you can buy the usual types of sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks inside the cafe, LED light bulbs, paints,crisps,drinks,pet food,Notts torches and odds and bits,nuts and bolts screws washers,stone chippings,concrete slabs,you can watch the trains go by

Probably the best value CHRISTMAS TREES in Plymouth (I nabbed the very last 4 foot £16.99 one but they have plenty of larger ones left) and I sent wait to take my little one to the GROTTO, again I've not seen anywhere else doing a socially distanced one this year! Details are on their website, think it's about a tenner for 1 adult and 1 child, I'll leave a review once I've been 🤶

Just like any discount store as your likely to find more or less what you need, they dont do a bed selection of fireworks for when the time comes. When phoning in to find out if the y have what I need I tend to find they dont actually check for you but just wait next to the phone and then say sorry we dont stock that then to go down myself and find what I enquired about. Staff are friendly with the exception of a few grumps (more than likely its that certain day of the week, let's be honest we all have them). Reasonable parking on lower and upper car parks but this will most certainly change as there are plans for an Aldi to be built on upper car park in due course. You can pay via cash or contact less. There is also a little cafe at rear of garden centre on lower car park. The garden centre does a wide range from garden furniture, garden slabs down to ballast, Guys on the garden centre do tend to know what there talking about which for some can be handy. They. Have. EVERYTHING. Fancy being the proud owner of a 6 foot pirate? They have it. Feel the urge to buy a gazebo? They have it. Are you desperate to have a cat condo? You get the picture. Everything your heart desires, and never knew it desired, is in this store. It is literally a tardis in which you will need GPS to get out of should you take a wrong turn. But seriously, they have EVERYTHING at an affordable price.

Of all the places ive visited during this Corona Virus pandemic it has to be said, Chaplins have had some of the best procedures in place regarding keeping people safe including the staff, ive been there several times and theyre much much better than the big supermarkets and the shops in the city centre. Hat off to them for that.

Chaplins has been here before I was a kid, so it's been round for years So very much established in plympton. To give you the idea of what sort of place it actually is is one of those places where you go oh no I've run out something or I could do with that just go down to the chaplins and they will have it, they everything to do with DIY or pretty much, arts and crafts, anything for birthday parties or weddings, kids toys, anything to do with pets, batteries, food, you name it they've pretty much got it. They also got a garden center also has a Christmas area built at the back. Oh I'm better not forget Bowler's cafe if you're a local to plympton and you've got a hangover I want a nice greasy fry up go straight down to Bowler's. but if you just want something quick to eat as well Bowler's is good for, that it's a lovely little cafe.

Large store with lots of items on sale. Inside the main building there is an upstairs. There is a garden area just adjacent to the main building. There is a café/ restaurant in the garden area. They sell good food and snacks all day. They have lots of parking. There is a large car park just off the main road or you can try to park in front of the main building. In the car park off the main road, they sometimes have stalls there. A bargain meat lorry often parks here also. It is well worth a look.

What can I say about Chaplins!! Cheap and cheerful....value for money.....you name it, theyve probably got it. The quality may mot always be top notch but there are hundreds of bargains to be had. You just have to weigh up the odds and take your chances. On perishable goods you can't really go wrong. I tend to get a lot of my yearly annual bedding plants and shrubs here and the quality has improved over the past couple of years and it is always so much cheaper than Endsleigh or Crownhill garden centre. Staff are always good and they do a 10% discount on Tues and Wednesday for the oldies... Yeah !!

Cheap and cheerful discount store. Very large range of products so you should be able to find what you want. There is a cafe on site if you fancy a cuppa or a breakfast. Chaplins has a visit from santa every Christmas. Large free car park outside.

Chaplin's can supply you with just about anything you need. Tools, wood, pet supplies, brick a bracket etc. Excellent garden section with good variety of flowers at the start of the season. All the usual garden wall, path and edgings for sale plus sand and cement to put them together. Cafe and toilets in the garden section with parking free.

Fancy dress..clothing shoes slippers boots.. Pictures, bedding, Towels, gifts, Assorted cards.calenders.. , pet toys, carpets and rugs. Paints DIY Equipment.. Has two floors. Has a huge Car park free Car park.. Open every day of the week.. Highly recommend a visit..
