For one, the main insulation came to about half the price I would have paid at e.g. Wickes so it’s a good starting point. Two: free delivery on my order because over £350. Three: excellent customer service when there was an issue with missing small item delivered separately by courier in ripped open bag. Obviously not their fault but they immediately re-ordered and kept me informed when stock was out so I didn’t need to chase up. Lidl prices. Fortnum & Masons service. These are builders suppliers so be aware that you do have to sign for deliveries. Excellent company.

Absolutely brilliant service. Helped me with the ordering process and worked with the supplier to ensure that we had the correct vehicle size for our limited access. Shout out to Penny who saw it all through. Rang her to make an enquiry on Thursday late afternoon and subsequently placed order, delivery was confirmed on Friday with updates over the weekend and all turned up on a pallet on Monday - 5 star!

I used this company to order some insulated plasterboards for a renovation project. Firstly, these boards are very expensive generally and every other website were selling them at approximately £65. Insulation Superstore beat this price significantly and paid approximately £40 per board. Obviously this saved a massive amount of money for me! I then received a discount for it being my first order....and delivery over £500 is free. I received an email straight away advising me that delivery would be between 7 - 10 working days and they arrived well within that time. One plus about using Insulation Superstore is that the logistic firm they use for delivery; you can track the lorry to the exact motorway junction! It was helpful to my builders as they could watch the lorry literally the whole way and it meant they weren't stuck on site for a 'whole day' delivery slot. I was advised by Insulation Superstore that if the outer packaging was damaged, to refuse the whole order and they would replace it and if any of the plasterboards were damaged then to inform them within 24 hours and they would replace them. Cannot fault this company on price and efficiency. There are some negative reviews on Google but I can say that I would happily use this company again!

The cost of my order was by far the lowest priced, ready mixed artex 5litre tub so I ordered 2, so we now have 10 litres in 2 basic plastic tubs, delivery arrived as promised on the day it was supposed too, this particular product is sent direct from the manufacturer, so I preceeded to open the box (both tubs in one box) noticed straight away there was wet white artex on the flap of the box, so opened it fully WOW the entire contents of both tubs were now in box itself and tubs were completely destroyed. Immediately took a series of photographs and telephoned Customer services, who were extremely apologetic and advised me on what next to do. The following procedure all took place via email , I.e. sending photos of the damaged goods explaining the issue ect.... Customer service agent Antony sorted out my issue in around 2 days and arranged for an immediate replacement, which arrived within 3 days, all intact and thankfully this time the artex remained in the tubs. Absolutely Fantastic Customer Services a big thank you to Antony and all at Insulation Superstore customer service team. One the best CS experiences I have had especially in recent years, when some companies are very quick to take your cash and are really not so quick at or even totally ignore your attempts at resolving order problems. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK :~)

The best prices, very friendly and helpful lady who dealt with my enquiry and a friendly and helpful delivery driver, who helped me unload and stack the boards. I couldn't recommend IS more highly. I'll never bother with builders merchants again, just a quick phone call and you will receive you boards, at the best price, within 2 to 3 days.

EDITED a year or so after my first review, and a 1 star feedback: Ok, I have left the original review in place below so everyone can see the woes I had, and the response I received. Many of the issues seemed to centre around this guy called Jake who was a bit dim and did for customer service what Jimmy Saville did for childcare. Perhaps because of this or other reasons unknown, Jake has moved on to bigger and better things or perhaps returned to school. Anyway, and perhaps because of this, the Insulation Superstore of 2020 is vastly improved of the one from 2019. Firstly, without Jake, I today took delivery of a seamless order I made at end of last week. Secondly, in fairness to the company, they honoured their promise to do a better deal for me on a second occasion (they did too!) And thirdly, they have a wonderful lady, who I last time referred to as Ann (I was perhaps on a lot of alcohol at the time) but is actually called Sam (easy mistake eh?) who sorted the deal, understood the funny side of me threateneing to take 'Jake' for a little trip to the countryside with some buddies and is generally a good asset to the business with her cheery (was I interpreting 'flirty'?) way. Well done guys - calling and confirming delivery is a great improvement and the delivery agent today couldn't have been any more helpful. You're redeemed! ORIGINAL REVIEW...: You couldn't make this up...I needed some cellotex. But I needed it this week. Seeing the website state 'up to 5 days delivery' I thought I'd call and make double sure on the Monday, that it could indeed be delivered on time. A chap called James went away and came back stating this would be dispatched directly by their supplier, who is also in Plymouth, on the Wednesday, 2 days later. On the wednesday, I'd got to mid afternoon having taken the day off work to wait in for this and I thought I'd phone in to ensure the order was on it's way. I spoke to James, again, who informed me that actually, it wouldn't be out for delivery that day after all. He said he'd look into whats gone on and would call me back. Later that afternoon, whilst I was driving, James did leave an apologetic message and asked me to call back, which I did first thing on Thursday. By now, time was running out for my answer so I asked him to confirm, for sure, the order could now be delivered on the promised revised day, Friday. He said he'd go and check directly with the supplier again and if not, he had a 2nd supplier that could help. After 5 hours, I still hadn't received a call. So, I called again and this time I called and spoke to somebody called Jake. After explaining all this again to a rather stressed Jake (who insisted on calling me 'buddy' all the time), he again said he'd need to make some calls. Since it was now gone 2pm, and since I'd need to order with another more local supplier if they couldn't help, I asked if that call would be within a reasonable period of 15 or so minutes. Jake, who by now sounded like he'd rather be somewhere else (it later transpired he was about to have a break, so maybe he needed the toilet?) said 'to be honest buddy, I've got a lot on so it'll be an hour at least'. After explaining to Jake that actually, I had better things to do than constantly chase members of his company to ensure they'd done what they were supposed to have done to start with as well, he put the phone down on me. Nice one Jake. I obviously called back again (all this for £75 of cellotex!!!) and spoke to a lady called Ann. Ann isn't like Jake because Ann has customer skills, and kindly did phone me back within 15 minutes to confirm delivery for next day, and said she would chase the next day for a delivery time ETA for me.
