Had a really good experience here today! Called up and quizzed Andy about cameras and lenses. He made everything very simple and easy to understand! When I attended the shop I was impressed, a great selection, clean, bright and very covid friendly. Andy not only answered all my questions he showed me how to fit and use the lens on my camera. Look forward to shopping here again!

Cant thank Martin enough for his help today. I smashed my nikon z6. Phone him up and asked if he had a new or used z6 in store as we urgently need one for our continuous project. Nipped in to store had a look at it and bought it there and then. Absolutely excellent staff - very, very knowledgeable and give excellent advice. Been to many camera stores who give the 'catalogue' answers to technical questions whereas here they really understand the realities of photography. They have on many occasions recommend a cheaper alternative to lenses I have been looking at (and been absolutely right) saving me hundreds in many cases for comparable performance. Yes you might get slightly cheaper online but I prefer to buy here so I have the excellent customer service should there be anything wrong or I have any issues. Many thanks.

Since cameras went electronic, and became another commodity to be sold in discount stores, real camera shops disappeared from Plymouth. As far as I know, this is the last one. In it there is a proper range of high-end equipment (not just a few popular models and kit lenses) and people who offer informed advice, and know about photography. If they don't have what you want, they will order it in. They did for me, and my camera body took 2 days to turn up. The new premises are more attractive, but it's the detailed knowledge of the patient and helpful staff that makes a visit there.

Went in today to buy a new medium-size camera bag. They had quite a reasonable selection and I decided on two possibilities, one of which being more expensive than the other. The assistant then asked what camera/lenses/accessories I would normally carry and recommended one of my two choices. I was very, very impressed that he suggested the cheaper of the two and made no attempt to sell me the more expensive one - well done. We then had a discussion on possible future upgrades, lens selection etc and again he was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Will certainly use again.

During first year at university I won a voucher for London Camera Exchange for the photography society. I needed a new camera case so I knew getting a high quality one would be important. I RECENTLY TOOK MY OPTICIAN BINOCULARS INTO THE LCE , BOUGHT THERE MANY YEARS AGO , FOR SPARE PARTS, LENSE COVERS, RUBBERS ETC. THE PARTS ARRIVED BUT THE STAFF FOUND THAT THE OLD PARTS HAD SEIZED UP ON MY BINOCULARS.THEY SUGGESTED I LEAVE THEM TO SEE IF ONE OF THEIR STAFF COULD FREE THINGS UP AND ON MY RETURN ALL HAD BEEN FIXED , NOT WITHOUT SOME DIFFICULTY AND INGENUITY . THEY WERE HANDED BACK TO ME IN PRISTINE CONDITION , ALL DONE WITHOUT CHARGE EXCEPT THE PART COSTS.I AM ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED WITH THE PERSONAL SERVICE WHICH YOU CERTAINLY WOULDNT GET HAD YOU BOUGHT THE BINOCULARS ON THE INTERNET.
