Great pets at home, with all the features you would expect with groom room and vets 4 pets. Our puppy had a little accident but their cleaning station made it super easy to clear up his little accident. The stock range is great and always has what we need with the option to do an easy repeat makes getting our puppy fed super easy. Visit often and will keep on visiting

We are soon to be beardie parents, and our son has been asking for one for ages. We bumped into Maslow a few days ago and he gave us a lot of brilliant information about keeping and feeding, all of the equipment we would need, everything. He had a lot of information on other reptiles we may be interested in, and plenty of care guides and groups online to look at while we prepare. I am confident in saying that he is one of the most knowledgeable workers at this store with far better information than what we got at the reptile store down the road a bit back. If you want help with reptiles, Maslow is your guy!

Staff friendly and very knowledgeable. The grooming and vet areas are ways busy, never seen this before in another pets at home, which means they are really good. My only down it is at the checkout. Every time I have been doing shopping, the queue and waiting time is very long. One checkout operator is not enough. It could be very helpful is they train more staff as queue busters. For this reason I have them only 4 stars, sorry.

It's a pretty big pet shop with everything from dog and cat food and products, to fish and ferret food and products. Whatever you're looking for, I'm pretty sure you'll find it in here. I went in looking to buy some fish for my daughter but I was a little disappointed with amount, and variety on offer to be honest. It's my little one year olds first fish tank and pet so I wanted to get her something nice and colourful due to her disability but again, there wasn't much in way of that and I'm no expert on pricing but some of the fish seemed a little expensive. Maybe that's the going price for the fish I seen, I don't know but if you want to fill a fish tank, you'll need a few hundred quid, and it actually works out more than the fish tank set up itself. They also do a dog grooming service at the shop too if that's what you're looking for.

It's OK if you want to buy pets food or accessories etc. But I DON'T recommend it if you want to buy a pet. I bought fish several times and each time they died after a few days or several hours. I have never had such a problem buying in other places.

My wife bought me a fish tank. Not really, it's a biorb. Its round not square or oblong. I appreciate it, but it's a bit like buying someone with two feet a left sock. If your going to have a fish tank, let's at least have one where the fish don't feel like they are constantly on a roundabout in rush hour. It looks good now, because I spent an extra £70 buying tiny fish and some ornaments that won't cramp the hell out of them. Don't get me wrong, this tank is sold everywhere. Starter tank perhaps. The staff quite rightly ask the right questions when buying something that is, "alive". This is the part where I say pets at home have the correct mindset, the staff are very fastidious. I come here quite often, mainly for feeders and sometimes fish. It is well set out and an easy place to shop. The staff are friendly and for the most part knowledgeable on products and pets they sell. However my two critics for the future growth of the store would be to stock more arachnids, inverts, and exotic animals it's a growing hobby with more and more people all the time. My second is getting immediate help on buying fish or getting general information on products. I have left numerous amounts of times after not being able to get assistance. So maybe employ more people to walk the shop floor and just be available to help. Overall my experiences here have been positive most of the time.

My cat passed away, and I was unsure what to do. So I phoned pets at home and a lovely lady was so kind and caring, she went through everything with me. Then when I went to the back of pets at home another young lady came out to talk to me and took the time to listen and understand the pain I was in. Then took Tara. So now my Tara is at peace after 17years as my friend ,will miss you lots. So thank you Pets At Home you are blessed with lovely caring people 💖

I attended today to get some flea treatment for my pet cats. I asked a chap called Nick (deputy manager) for some help locating the items I was after and he gave my wife and I some of the best customer service that I have ever recieved. He informed us that we could gain some huge savings by using the Pets at Home App, to which gave us a massive saving off of our purchase. He was very friendly and served us quickly and efficiently, I cannot fault our visit.

Great store with large varieties of stuff for your pets needs. The reptile part however leaves much to be desired. Glass tanks are broken and cracked and have been for a while and each time I go in, they don't appear to have any reptiles in. The staff are always happy to help and very knowledgeable and accurate. The waiting times at the till can be excrutiating at times. The vets part however not so good. Long waits and cramped waiting area.

Went in to buy some fish recently, downloaded their app and got 10% off and by the time I'd paid, the fish were out and handed to me ready to leave. Really efficient service.

Wow...the newly refurbished Pets at home is absolutely wonderful. The animals have a new home which is off the floor in a huge new section. Kiddies can go underneath and see them from different angles. A clearer layout which has given the appearance of more room in this everything you need pet store. There is such an excited presence amongst the staff who have much enthusiasm and very much welcome this amazing change.

The veterinary Centre is very useful to have local and the staff are always polite... That is when you can find a member free in store many times iv walked the length of the store to look for a member of staff to decide I don't need the product down to frustration or lack of knowledge from the team in there department.

I usually shop at Pets at Home online OR go in after 6.00pm when it's so much easier to shop + you can avoid queues at the tills. I have found that the staff have always been pleasant and helpful + some of the offers on Royal Canin and Hills cat foods are really good.

Having never owned a dog ,we decided to visit pets at home to purchase puppy essentials and ask for some advice .An assistant named Hella came to our rescue ,she gave us so much help and advice it was invaluable. 90 minutes she took us round the store giving us so much information ,nothing was too much trouble and she answered every question we asked (the poor girl)We cannot thank Hella enough, she was so warm ,friendly and helpful .

They have a variety of fish however as I went there not long ago there were 4 dead fish in one tank and one of the members of staff just covered the tank with a sign that said they were under treatment.

Not bad for a supermarket type shop, better than other branches I have heard about. Value is variable with a wide choice across the (almost) full range of pets. My main area at the moment is fish and despite being squeezed in the corner the aquatic section is still bigger, more spacious and better stocked than most other general pet stores. Staff do sometimes stick to focal points (till area, moving stock etc), rarely have I seen the lurking 'can I help' type person wandering around - although neither do they hover around watching every move. - on a side note they also look to house pet rescue cases for rabbits, guinea pigs etc so nice to see its not all $$$

The vets here are fantastic when it comes to dogs and cats, however, not so great with smaller/exotic pets. I have bought 3 animals from there 2 have been ill. My rats had a respitory infection and my Syrian hamster died unexpectedly. Their pet cages are way to small and I've noticed they sell single rats to new owners which is not ok. Rats need to be kept in pairs. My cousin also got a rabbit from the adoption section, She s 6 and didn't tell us that the rabbit was extremely aggressive. Nothing wrong with the vets or ship in general but their animal care is horrible. The rat cages they sell aren't even the minimum for a hamster. You can get cheaper cages online which are the correct sizing.

Great informative lady working there today.... (Nr Dunelm in Plymouth - Devon). I wish I could remember her name! The lady used raw meals, but we had been advised that the AVA puppy biscuits 2-8 months old would be good (am) & then the wet meal made by Wainrights - given in the eve. Milo (our Male puppy nearly 6 months old)..... a Pomski (Pomeranian & Chiwawa cross) has been having Pedigree puppy food (only 1 star when we looked at the meat/gel properly). We have now bought the correct food as the Pedigree food even for puppies may cause liver damage (apparrently!).

Nice that pets can come in and staff some times hand out biscuits. Good variety of stuff even if it is a little pricy. We had our dogs "snipped" here, did a great job. I wouldnt recommend the onsie over the cone though. Our mut learnt if he pees in it it comes off (hes not as stupid as he looks). Took one of the muts to their groomers.... I'm not sure what we paid for as he came out hairier than he went in... how do you even do that?!?!
