J. “. G.Amazing friendly and super knowledgeable staff, incredible huge selection of board games, wargames, Role Playing Games, Puzzles, miniatures and a loyalty scheme all under one roof. I feel extremely fortunate to have eclectic games as my local friendly game store.
And just when you think they can't do any more, they also have demo games for you to take a look, a games club upstairs and so much more!
Facilities are also great and are super open to everyone, young, old, single, families, you name it, they have you covered.
S. W.Been going here for over 10 years. Very knowledgeable staff who will help you find the right game, puzzle or other gift. This place caters for more than just the specialist hobby gamer, so venture in. Plenty of family games and if you ask, they often have a copy you can try upstairs first or at the very least, they'll make sure to recommend something suitable and give you an overview of the rules. If you've wanted to try more complex games or get into Pokemon, they have arranged evening sessions, so be brave and dive in.

Remember playing a game 30 years ago, where it's like monopoly but had a Reading Town theme / vibe, they can find out what it was likely called.
A good stock of board games from simple 5 minute fillers, to Legacy games you play over a number of sessions. A good selection covering strategy, luck, deduction, tactical games should cater for everyone. They stock a good set of boardgames for family and young kids, some of which have found their way I to my collection
The games make me go there, the staff make me want to return. I have too many games now.

T.Absolutely one of the best things about Reading Town centre. One of the last true indenepent stores in town, it boasts a fantastic collection of board and card games as well as miniatures, paints, books for RPGs as well as accessories for all kinds of games. They have a fantastic gaming space upstairs as well as very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Absolute gem 12/10

Shop entrance is hidden down a lane (beside Boots if you are coming from the pedestrian mall), but the sign should make it easy to find once you're in the lane.
Good variety of games, with a mix of new and popular classics. They also seem to be willing to order in if you ask and they can source it.

They have a very wide range of games and there is usually someone on hand who has played the game you are looking at and can advise on its suitability for your needs. They are friendly and hold events upstairs. The content of the shop rivals any game shop I have ever come across, including forbidden planet London.

P. G.A great store, providing access to a huge variety of board games, trading cards, RPG books, and the materials and components for tabletop games. The staff are friendly, and have been willing to help with any questions, and can recommend potential purchases based on my interests / preferred games.
Further to the store itself, the shop hosts an upstairs trading card games room, spotlighting a different game depending on the days of the week, and can sometimes host tournaments. If you're looking for people to play with, I would recommend this as the place to go!

Also, they have a truly spectacular games collection in the back that you can play in the upstairs rooms. Easily the best FLGS I've ever seen!
M. T.Managed to get my hands on a copy of an Arkham Horror LCG mythos pack that was virtually impossible to find otherwise without being gouged by international sellers. Had a query and contacted their support, which was dealt with almost immediately. Very impressed by their customer support! A. l.Nice experience prereleasing there. Staff are helpful in both resolving rulings issues and questions about different products. The atmosphere has been welcoming to everyone each time I have been and players generally are very nice there. Sometimes, the BO smell sometimes can bit present within the store sometimes and the bathroom looks like it is from the Victorian era. But, still a nice gamestore nonetheless.
S. P.There are not enough stars in the rating system for this shop. Having won or been nominated for multiple Reading retail awards it seems the town agrees with me. Looking for a gift? Want to get into a new hobby? Been playing monopoly your entire life and fancy a change? The staff there will be able to answer all your questions, including some you didn't know you had.

Additionally they will order in games and expansion on the rare occasions that they don’t actually have one in stock. Also great place to try out new games. One of the best game shops in the area!

B.Love popping into this shop. A lot of the stuff here isnt in my usual sphere of interest which is even nicer as it promotes other potential hobbies. Staff are always so up for helping out even if it doesnt result in a sale as they know a happy visitor is most likely going to come back. And they are right!

I was in a rush to find some PC components and stuck my head in here on a longshot. They don't sell PC parts but the staff had a great knowledge of the area and took the time to point me in the right direction anyway.
If I need any games supplies in future this will always be my first stop just based on the helpfulness and professionalism of the people working here.

There is also a sizeable miniatures section, which provides a wide range of paints and other materials for a tabletop hobbyist. Fans of Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons will find a selection of models to pick up for a very reasonable (sometimes cheaper than anywhere else) price.
Staff are friendly and courteous and offer a loyalty card scheme. Well worth popping in if you are into any sort of board games or were considering taking the plunge and getting started.

After getting my ticket to ride, and hearing the whistle stop, we arrived in the town center.
I followed the spice road to an enchanting shop tucked away downforce a side street. With such a huge selection of quality games, all the customers browsing began to be overcome with some sort of pandemic. I had to say 'no thanks!' to any more purchases, and after bidding farewell, embarked upon my journey back to Carcassonne.
