Reviews of Alsager Library

Alsager Library is very well stocked for a all library and has friendly, considerate staff. The community room is fabulous, the kitchen is great and the toilets are clean. Fabulous!

Glad to see it’s been evolving over the years still go in occasionally. I’ve taken some books out now. COVID measures are sensible. Came here all the time as a child and I’m glad to see that as well as catering to adults, I think children will always, rightfully, be their focus.

Happened to be passing so did not have my sons card, the Librarians were excellent and accommodated my son wonderfully with 5 books.

This is one of my favourite libraries in Cheshire.
I go there when I need access to free wi-fi and to concentrate on my illustrations.
I usually sit and work on the mezzanine floor which can be accessed by a spiral staircase or the lift which is fine for wheelchairs. The mezzanine overlooks the ground floor from a balcony.
Alsager library is friendly and welcoming.
Although still a small library it boasts a good selection of written books, talking books and online computers that can be booked by the hour.
The children's section is a delight to see in regular use with Mums and tots.
In additions the library has a couple of rooms upstairs in regular use by local groups including exercise lessons.
All in all, a calm atmosphere and a nice place to browse and pass the odd pleasant hour.
Highly recommended.

Machines to log books in and out can sometimes be more helpful. Staff in there do not seem as friendly as they used to be.

Always great. Managing brilliantly under Covid conditions.
