I always enjoy popping in to this marvellous shop and having a yarn (see what I did there?) with Sarah or Grace (a fellow rainbow fanatic). Such a fantastic shop to have locally and a wealth of knowledge that they're happy to share freely.

One of my favourite places to be! The staff are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable and there is always something new to see every time you go in as new stock is always being added. There's also a great selection of buttons, threads, bias binding, ribbons and elastic for those finishing touches!

An amazing shop full of gorgeous fabrics, a great selection of wool and all the other notions you would expect to find in a well stocked haberdashery shop. Sarah and the team are very helpful and customer service is fantastic. Being able to order on the website for click and collect is also really handy. Quite possibly my most favourite shop in our lovely little town!

My daughter is obsessed with fashion and after becoming addicted to Sewing Bee on TV asked for a sewing machine for Christmas. We went to ‘Cloth of gold’ to buy some fabric and bits and pieces and wow what a great experience. The lady let us browse for ages without any feeling of pressure and helped her choose some fabrics and chatted about sewing. Shop looks lovely and not too old fashioned as many shops of this type are. We will definitely return.

Fabulous shop for all your sewing, crochet, knitting and craft needs. I love the range of fabrics to suit all occasions, and new fabrics are introduced regularly. The owner is so helpful and knowledgeable, and also inspiring with her own creations. She is always on hand to help with advice for projects. I recently purchased a brand new Janome sewing machine from Cloth of Gold (after many years of machine sewing with second hand machines!)and I have found it perfect for my needs. The owner offered support in it's functions if I needed it. Lovely shop!
