Sophie originally came to make me some blinds for some awkward shaped dormer windows that I had been unable to get made from high street companies due to their shape. They were so gorgeous that I have now had her make some lampshades for me, cover a stool, cover a chair cushion and had 2 other sets of curtains made. The price is good, they get fitted quickly and the qualify is brilliant. I highly recommend!

The team at Sophie Sews were absolutely fantastic. They came round, took into account my needs (I have a physical disability so we went with remote controlled electric blinds in most rooms) and helped me look at what styles and patterns would work, which was fantastic as I honestly didn't know where to start! There was a lovely range of fabrics to choose from and the measuring was done quickly and efficiently. There was great communication throughout and when I ran into an issue with the electronics I had a response immediately and it got sorted very quickly. Sophie and her team were lovely, very friendly, keen to explain how everything worked and make sure I was happy with everything. I love the final product - the blinds and curtains have really enhanced the rooms! It was a pleasure to be able to use a local business and I can't recommend them highly enough if you want a personal, professional service.

Sew far, sew good.. I have just ordered my curtains from Sophie and I have been very impressed by her professionalism, advice and overall service. From coming out to measure, her advice about what would work best for the windows I have, and the choice of fabrics on offer in her shop, it's been a pleasure to work with her so far. I have to say, when I went in to her shop to choose my fabrics, I was like a child in a sweet shop! If you've never visited the shop then I recommend you do. I will certainly visit again and I am really looking forward to having my curtains and my new lamps and quite possibly other lovely items I have yet to buy!

I had a tricky project which involved hanging a curtain rail from the joists in the ceiling. Sophie and her team took all this in her stride. The rail was hung and the curtain made over three individual visits. Sophie read my personal taste through her first visit to my house (definitely not a fashionable grey!) and suggested a great fabric for my curtain. It wasn’t a pattern I would have chosen off the top of my head but I imagine I will still love it twenty years down the line. Fair pricing for excellent quality and service.

I am delighted with my new curtains. I have waited over a year since I decorated my sitting room for curtains and haven't had any for 4 years from when I first moved in. So this was an important purchase and I wanted to get it right. Sophie was very helpful and made useful suggestions with choice of fabric. Moving to a four-bedroom house with enormous windows was extremely daunting from a window-dressing point of view, so Sophie’s guidance was invaluable. She has the most amazing selection of beautiful fabrics, which we used for all but one room, but she was completely comfortable with using fabric we had sourced for our living room.
