A fantastic unique shop in the heart of York City Centre offering a great selection of chocolatey goodness. On this occasion I purchased some unique gifts for our children's teachers for the end of term. Something special with a little thought behind it.... The shop is definitely worth a visit, you wont be disappointed....

A quaint little chocolate shop in one of the crooked old houses of the Shambles. Fantastic display of chocolates all handmade on the premises, and so many unusual and tempting centres to choose from. The shop was very busy but the girl who served me was both pleasant and enthusiastic. The hot chocolate was delicious, very rich flavour and just what I needed on a bitterly cold day! Was given a free chocolate of my choice as an added treat.

Whenever I go into York City centre, I can't help but visit this shop with my Mum. I think you could probably cut us both open and we'd bleed chocolate, as we've become a little addicted. Obviously taste is a very subjective thing but in our opinion, these are the very best chocolates you can buy. I'm always telling my chocolate loving friends to pay them a visit and anyone who has taken my advice, has agreed on how delicious their chocolates are. The owners are also incredibly lovely people and now recognise us, as we have frequented their shop so regularly. If you love chocolate and happen to be in York City centre, this is a place you really ought to visit.

I'm a huge chocoholic, and have tried all sorts of chocolate in lots of different countries, and I can honestly say these are quite simply THE BEST chocolates that I've ever had anywhere. Stunning quality and taste, beautiful presentation, and a fantastic range. Luckily, I don't live too far away, so can always get my fix, and thrilled that I can now order online if I can't get to the shop! We always take our visitors to the shop too, and everyone just loves the chocolate and the experience.

Absolutely love this little chocolate shop, it's one of my favorite places in York. They have a fantastic selection and everything I've had from there is delicious, especially the hot chocolate. The staff was very friendly and patient as we got lots of assorted boxes for Christmas gifts. I'll happily return here any time I'm in the area.

I have loved these chocolates for years. I think they are by far my favourite. We first tasted them when we went to York on holiday with my baby daughter nearly 10 years ago and since then had been buying mail order. Sadly this stopped and I really miss having them. Would definitely recommend the items and the shop. Well worth a visit.

Because they’ve only just started doing mail order. It’s ages since we’ve been able to buy these chocolates, and I’d almost forgotten how good they are! Much better than any others we’ve tried. So pleased we can get them again. Maybe one day they’ll start offering bars etc online as well?

First we were lured in by the smell of yummy chocolate, there was so much to chose from, (the lady in the shop was so patient and lovely which was good as the boys took forever to chose)so we ended up with a box of 30 mixed chocolates, that was 10 for each of us. I absolutely love the quality, variety and flavour of these chocolates, especially the dark chocs due to me having a slight dairy intolerance. One of my favourites, are the dark chewy caramels which are so difficult to find in the shops these days or the dark chocolate hard caramels. Please keep producing these!😊😊 I also like the dark chocolate alcohol flavoured ones and the cherry flavoured ones. Perhaps you could also produce some dark chocolate coated almonds and Brazil nuts please?

My favourite chocolatier in york! I take everyone who visits. The £2 warm melted choclate in a mini chocolate cup is wonderful, as is the hot chocolate. Couldnt recommend more. A must visit if youre visiting York! Make sure you have plenty of tissues for children...

Plenty of chocolates to choose from and they do taste delicious however the alcohol infused ones - the whiskey and baileys you couldn’t really taste the alcohol flavours. Rest we lovely though and as flavour stated.
