My Miss took the pictures when I drove by here! She was excited when first time seeing the polices with horses on the road.
One of the London Noses is here. We couldn't find. Should you find it please leave a comment.

I love walking on this street
London 22/08/2016
Really beautiful to see up close but difficult to photograph from any angle as there are roads that pass through it, and it is surrounded by other buildings. Don't miss it if you're at Trafalgar square, and you can put it on your walking tour route if you're coming from Big Ben or Buckingham palace.
Lovely place for tourists to visit

Impressive place!
Not sure just did
Amazing view
Took this route from Buckingham to London eye.
Skip afternoon time
Some people strangely miss this amazing arch, though it is only 50-yard away from Trafalgar Square. It is the passage to Buckingham Palace. Just by passing through the arch, you feel the royal presence of Buckingham Palace across the might of The Mall.

What a beautiful historic building.
At the moment it is going under a massive restoration and construction.
It should open as the new showpiece hotel. The Waldorth Astoria. Could you imagine yourself looking out of your balcony window and say good morning to HRH Queen Elizabeth??????.

The Architectural design
Very nice monument with terrific details and history comes on with the British flag flying over the top very nice scene actually
Leading from the southwest corner of Trafalgar Square into the Mall is Admiralty Arch, commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of his mother Queen Victoria. It was designed by Sir Aston Webb (who also worked on Buckingham Palace and the Victoria and Albert Museum) and was completed in 1911. The Admiralty Arch, which takes its name from the nearby Royal Navy Headquarters. It was originally used as the offices and residences for the Sea Lords, leaders of the Royal Navy. Today it is home to several British government offices. The traffic does not pass through the massive central arch - that is only opened for state occasions.

Impressive structure (Arch) that is at the start of The Mall (Trafalgar Square end) and then links through to Buckingham Palace. It does offer a nice view down to Buckingham palace but the traffic barriers are a bit of an eyesore. The presence of these large and ugly barriers certainly detract from the ambiance of Admiralty Arch. However certainly a good place to visit and click few photographs. Don't miss this one.

From Trafalgar Square you can see a hatful of iconic sights and this is one of them. Plenty of places nearby to take the weight off your feet and settle down to watch the world go by. And, given all the accents I heard, it really is the world! A very atmospheric example of English architecture.

Great Service
This naval arch was built in 1912. There are two lines of Latin inscriptions in the middle of the huge arch, which were dedicated by King Edward VII to Queen Victoria. I have always wanted to visit this arch, and it is even more attractive to me than Trafalgar Square. Among the buildings I saw during my trip to London, the Naval Arch shocked me the most.
Although this building is an arch, it is actually not quite right. If you really want to say it, it is more like a castle. The British government cabinet used to work here. Now it is rented out to Spanish real estate developers and converted into luxury hotels. If this It’s true, I really want to stay one night. The feeling of living in a historical building will definitely be extraordinary, but it is guaranteed to be expensive, so I’d better think about it.
This arch is also the origin of the idea for the appearance of the Navy Headquarters in the comic "ONE PIECE".
(Translated) Admiralty Arch is at the end of The Mall, an avenue that leads to Buckingham Palace.
Admiralty Arch is used by the British government as an office in central London.
The Admiralty arcade was built in 1910 in honor of Queen Victoria.
The construction of the arcade has three passages that provide car and pedestrian access to Alameda The Mall.

A construção da arcada possui três passagens que dão acesso de carro e de pedestre para a Alameda The Mall.
You will see the Admiralty Arch after passing the tree-lined road. When you go to London, it is really recommended to take a walk instead of the big bus. Of course, if the weather is not good and it is windy and rainy, you have to plan otherwise🙃
Stunning building 😍 think that the Admiralty Arch is a building in London with three large arches that allow the connection between the Mall and Trafalgar Square. Designed by Sir Aston Webb, it was completed in 1912.
The building was built by King Edward VII in memory of his mother, Queen Victoria. Absolutely worth a visit 👍🏻
Impressive arch that is located at the end of the Pall Mall if you are walking from Buckingham Palace. It ends at Trafalgar Square and for a good walk it is a very good option.
Admiralty Arch is a landmark building in London that incorporates a gateway providing road and pedestrian access between the Mall, which extends to the south-west, and Trafalgar Park to the north-east. Admiralty Arch, dedicated by King Edward VII in memory of his mother, Queen Victoria and designed by Aston Webb is now a Grade I listed building. In the past, it served as the residence of the First Sea King and was used by the Admiralty. Until 2011, the building housed government offices, but in 2012 the government gave it a 125-year lease on the building to be redeveloped into a luxury hotel, restaurant and apartments. The model and shape of the building is very distinctive and extraordinarily beautiful. Every time vehicles pass through this gate, don't miss visiting and taking photos here because the location is very famous and monumental.
Marathon day in London great atmosphere, was electric, crowds were amazing
The arch at the start of The Mall, the main road leading from Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace.
It acts like a kind of Arc de Triomphe. The middle gate is the royal road. It is called "Admiralty Arch" because the Admiralty is nearby. It was built by Edward VII for his mother, Queen Victoria.
The Latin text above the arch reads "ANNO DECIMO EDWARDI SEPTIMI REGIS VICTORIÆ REGINÆ CIVES GRATISSIMI MDCCCCX". The meaning is as follows:
"To Queen Victoria, in the 10th year of the reign of Edward VII.
The citizens give this with the greatest gratitude.
(In the tenth year of King Edward VII, to Queen Victoria,
from most grateful citizens, 1910)".
Admiralty Arch is one of the most important and majestic monuments in London; it joins Trafalgar Square to The Mall, the tree-lined street, which leads to Buckingham Palace; it was built by King Edward VII in 1910 and dedicated it to his mother Victoria; It has 5 arches, the 3 largest in the center for the passage of vehicles (the one in the center however is only used for Royal ceremonies; the 2 smaller ones at the end for pedestrian passage.
Admiralty Arch is a listed London monument. A vehicular and pedestrian thoroughfare runs through its archway, separating the bustling Trafalgar Square from The Mall, which continues to Buckingham Palace.
The site is certainly admirable, but what I want to show is a detail that perhaps goes unnoticed by many. Several years ago these noses appeared in different places. The person who posted them remained anonymous until the name of the author Rick Buckley was finally revealed. It is said that it was his way of protesting against the number of cameras that were being placed in the city, a way of saying that the state was sticking its "nose" into private affairs. Many urban legends were also woven around them, that if you found them all, good luck would accompany you, etc. Currently there are few and difficult to find, unlike the cameras that are seen everywhere. This is the only one I could see.

Because it is under construction, it is not perfect and is noisy. It is said that Edward VII built it in honor of his mother, Queen Victoria. He is a dutiful son.
It’s worth taking a photo. When the wheels pass through the arch, it feels majestic.
Iconic arch located in Trafalgar Square.

Emblematico lugar de londres , que a su alrededor están estatuas de gran importancia .
Majestic building commissioned by Edward VII, son of Queen Victoria, and designed by Sir Aston Webb. A brass nose has been positioned between the arches of its gate, which completely separates it from the other lines of the monument. Inside there were government offices which will now give way to hotels, restaurants and spaces for private individuals following the leasing concession in 2012.
It is located on the road that connects The Mall (and therefore Buckingham Palace) with Trafalgar Square: other important tourist sites, such as St James Park, are nearby.
Beautif and great architecture The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, so it was an amazing place to see , london has great architectures and its one of them had a walk through it good place to be visited i love being here i wish i can visit there again , im my life
A very beautiful gate, nice to pass through on the way to the palace
It is an aesthetic and magnificent monument that is the gateway to Trafalgar Square when you move along The Mall from Buckingham Palace and Victoria Monument. In the south wing is St. Horse Guard is located at the end of St. James Park.
It's worth visiting after walking from the Palace, to watch the changing of the guard, really cool!
It has a great look. A must see.

Beautiful, seeing it at the beginning in The Mall... it's simply majestic.... On the way to Buckingham Palace.
The arch was designed by Aston Webb, who also designed the Victoria Memorial and the new façade of Buckingham Palace at the other end of the Mall. Admiralty Arch was constructed by John Mowlem & Co and completed in 1912. It adjoins the Old Admiralty Building, hence the name.
A beautiful building on the way from Trafalgar Square along the promenade to Buckingham Palace.

Famous London landmark that is the entrance to St. James's Park and close to Trafalgar Square. Can you spot the nose in one of the arches? It was put there by the artist Rick Buckley in 1997 as part of the campaign against the "Big brother society" - it's about 7 foot up, inside the arch on the right hand side.

The scenery, ambiance and architecture is out of this world. Many government offices and other government embassies and consulates are located along and around this area. This makes the security top notch and a perfect tourist destination
A beautiful structure that combines the features of a triumphal arch and office buildings. Well, it used to be office buildings until it was sold and will be converted into a Waldorf hotel. At the moment, much of the building is undergoing refurbishment while the hotel conversion takes place. Will be lovely again when it's complete. Pity I can't afford to stay, the sights of The Mall and Trafalgar Square would be amazing.

Start your walking journey to Buckingham Palace from here. So you will see all grandeur or British royal atmosphere at its best. Walk on The Mall passing St. James's Park on left and the St. James's Palace on right. Maybe you want to admire the statue of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen's mother in front of St. James's Palace. Walk minutes from there you can see the great Victoria Monument in front the Buckingham Palace.
Wonderful view of the emerald tree lined red tarmacked Mall leading to Victoria's disapproving gaze set in white marble/stone? Golden statue above the queen and Buckingham palace as magnificent as ever.
The arches have been used as temp accomodation by previous priministers.
Another great landmark to see n London. Admiralty Arch incorporates an archway providing road and pedestrian access between The Mall, which extends to the southwest, and Trafalgar Square to the northeast. Admiralty Arch, commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of his mother, Queen Victoria.
Great area, next to Trafalgar Square. Walk through to get onto The Mall and head up to Buckingham Palace. Nice walk with a lot to see on the way.
A must see for any Englishperson with a love of our Naval Heritage. Outstanding architecture which, when decked out with Navy Ensigns evokes a memory of days gone by when we were a Nation of heroes!
Beautif and great architecture The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, so it was an amazing place to see , london has great architectures and its one of them had a walk through it good place to be visited i love being here i wish i can visit there again , im my life
I have never seen this place without barriers in years and still do not understand why, iconic
One of my absolute favourite buildings in London. Such a regal building. Full of history and so much charm
After travelling from Buckingham Palace down the Mall, this is a good place to end up at. Trafalgar Square is only a couple of minutes away.
Best time to catch London at peace with itself is at dawn
We were there to people-watch during the 2012 Olympics. This picture captured the helpful joyful essence of the Londoners!
Lots of traffic and noise but an iconic london landmark. Worth a look if you are nearby but wouldnt make a special trip for it.
Admiralty Arch is a truly magnificent and wide building that was built in 1912 and allows pedestrian access between the Mall and Trafalgar Square. Today, Admiralty Arch is a luxury hotel, a restaurant, and apartments.
Blend of heritage, history, architecture with amazing food.
It's a heritage building turned into luxury hotel.
Since I love beautiful buildings, I have to admit that I was in awe in front of this one.
Firstly because of it size.
Second because of the details sculpted all over it.
Really nice arch. One of the best I've encountered in all my travels. Remember that traffic drives on the LEFT side of the road through the arch.
Tourist attraction - nice scenic walk to Buckingham Palace, which you can see in the distance..
Not exactly a must-see landmark, but it offers a very cool atmosphere driving/walking through either eastwards to the Mall or westwards to Trafalgar Square. It nicely matches the nearby architecture and so keeps the area stylish and aesthetic. Take a close peek at some of the sculptures and for one of the seven London Noses
Look out for the weird brass nose inside one of the arches! It's about 2m above ground. It's a very random and silly thing on a very serious building.
Beautiful old building, in good condition.
Buckingham's Gate 😆😆
Beautiful gateway to one of the best views in London-- the Mall! Be sure to visit when the flags are hanging at The Mall.
The admiralty Arch is definitely something to go check out if in London, England
A stunning piece of architecture that you should definitely come to see if you are visiting London!
The grand archway from Trafalgar Square which you travel through to journey along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, but can you find the nose on this landmark?
I took the pictures from Trafalgar square facing Admiralty Arch. Building seen on the right is Uganda High Commission where there is Tourism Malaysia office and Malaysia's flag
What a beautiful architectural view in the heart of London right in front of the famous Trafalgar square.
Good photo opportunity but there’s no context for me to enjoy the history. I’m sure I could look this up,, but in the moment you are flying blind
This street leads to the Buckingham palace. Every day the palace's guards make a demonstration at the street.
Admiralty Arch looks in need of restoration sadly looking very scruffy. This is a shame as it's a magnificent piece of architecture.
Great bit of architecture. The detail is phenomenal. It curves on both sides of the arch.
Iconic and historical landmark on The Mall leading up to Buckinham Palace
It's pity that the arch is under renovation.
Highly impressive Edwardian architecture. Best seen at night in winter. Guaranteed no crowds.
Seems rather pointless but a very nice touch to decorate the city a bit. Definitely worth paying a visit.
Impressive structure, enjoyed the walk leading upto it from Buckingham Palace.
Quite an impressive structure. Plus cars drive through it! Worth walking through on your way around the city.
Take a walk through on way to Buckingham Palace. See if you can find the hidden nose.
This was a nice surprise at the end of a hike in central London. Magnificient architecture on display.
A charming old world atmosphere...in a rustic garden setting!
Fantastic Walking underneath those beautiful arches fantastic
Grand archway that you are able to walk through. The road is often closed for various events.
I love the roman numbers ;)
Very nice area to visit but you need to choose your timeing with all the protests in the area.
I work at refurbishment of the building
RAF 100 years fly past, fantastic to attend and join in with the crowd along the Mall.
Impressive piece of architecture leading onto The Mall down to St. James's Park.
Quite an impressive monument. Follow the road through the park to get to the Buckingham Palace
It was an amazing day, celebrating the 100 anniversary of the RAF, stunning place.
Nice historic building
Great place to visit amazing architecture, Wonderful 👍
It's alright. Pretty cool, and historical.
Nice to see but there are other nicer venues and hot spots to see
Awesome classic architecture. Very historic place.
Someone said they’re turning it into a hotel. I sincerely hope not!
Impressive area of London, with many historical sites in walking distance.
It is a gorgeous scene.i went there while o vacation
I like watching people paint here
Love this building! Such a splendid piece of architecture. ...
from my friend. Road to Buckingham Palace
Beautiful architecture and a beautiful day to visit the palace.
Looks simply stunning on a beautiful sunny day. No entry fee. Better with flag decorations.
A great Arch to visit on your way to the Buckingham Palace.
impressive place with something special to discover, in central arch
Amazing. When you're are there you feel the history. It was incredible to me
Didn't get to go inside, but I remember this being featured on a map in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 video game
Beautiful! I love to see always something like this, old, cool and build nicely
Had a burger with stale bread and patty fried in stale oil. Too bad.
Great British history! Fun place to hang out
Very popular amazing place . Strongly recommended 👍👍
Big and beautiful Arch.
Fantastic old building now sold off to Waldorf Astoria
I am always struck by the dramatic architecture of Admiralty Arch, the landmark building through which the Mall passes from Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace.
