The shops that were open are clean and tidy and had stock.

Overall, from fashion, homeware, groceries, electronics, toys and DIY theres a lot of stores located here.
Separated into zones, these shops are accompanied with a large car park nearby that have accessibility for the disabled as well.

K. C.I like this place ,but few times prices was different . On the shelf one price but when they scanning you can see different price so need to be carful . I was bought drain unblocker and checked few times all prices all of them was 2-3£ but when I so on receipt price 7£ I was shocked. I found mat for bathroom as well 5£ when she scanned that mat it was 10£. Bin for bathroom as well on the shelf 25£ when she scanned 40£ . So all the time need to check very good all the prices on the shelf because there is a mixed or wrong price .

m. k.Its always packed if you go at the weekend and you will more than likely get stuck in traffic on the way in and out. Also for me personally the selection of stores on offer are mediocre and I only tend to go there when I really have to. If you are going to go its best to go after 5 at the weekend or during the week.

I. C.Such a shame these huge companies on the St James retail Park choose not to provide a wide range of products as they used to. Now, their stores are mostly empty pushing their customers into online shopping. Laura Ashley shop for example, is already closed down forever in this retail park (not sure if other shops are still out there!), same Mothercare shop and Toys&Rush (which closed down couple of years ago). The Range is from my opinion an Chinese shop with UK prices, and much competitive retail shops are not around.
I would love one day to get back on high street shopping as all this digitalisation only push people on spending their lives virtually instead of helping them to embrace walking, spending money out and socialising face to face.
I can not say that I will still going to shop on this Retail Park as I used to as there are not to much to offer. If their shops will be once again Full as they've used to, definitely I will choose to shop of them instead of online.
A. D. (.It's a tightly laned car park surrounded by shops, gym and drive-thru, monitored with a number plate recognition system.
Read the notices as, overstaying and returning later may result in parking charge... even if your in a queue waiting to get out.
G. W.Always a good amount of parking. There is a nice selection of shops but generally it's not somewhere you would go for a bit of window shopping. If you're doing home improvements then you should be able to get what you need. It was a nicer when Next and BHS home store was there, but I do still quite enjoy having a wander round.

R. L.Only a handful of retail shops here..my interest are Home Sense and Laura Ashley, also have a smaller Iceland inside the Range. I liked this retail park because it has 3 hours free parking and loads of spaces, easy to get to.(Also has a McDonald's).

W.It's great if you are not in a hurry as Starbucks has slow service and the seating area is full of people on iPads ignoring people who genuinely want to sit and socialise with friends for coffee before shopping as they take up seats and stay longer than they should. The rest of the shops are brilliant. Let's hope the old Toys R Us building is renovated soon.
D. C. B.There's a wide range of shops available to visit at this retail park. The car parking is spacious and easily accessible but the people that own the car park are renown for trying to rip you off, bear in mind that it's a private car park and there's a tiny, almost illegible sign as you enter that tells you you're entering a contract yadda yadda.
They'll try and get you for everything you've got.

S. M.Apart from the most confusing car park markings ever I love the shops here now. If you want to shop in both areas start at the bottom by KFC or you'll have to navigate the Gasworks roundabout. (yes I know the storage towers have gone...bloody shame!) and drive all the way back down 🙂 You're welcome 😂
G. M.They have recently resurfaced the car park which is a good thing as it was getting into a poor state. They have also managed to get 2 new outlets recently which in these days is little short of a miracle. It can be a very busy area with a lot of shoppers, busier than the town!

All-in-all, I am not quite sure how to review a retail park - you go there because there is a shop there that you want; I did not pitch up here wondering what to expect, and then reviewing it on that basis.
B. B.Parking ok, sometimes a bit busy and cramped. No public loos. There's a lot of shops and outlets of that's your thing, but it can feel a little difficult to find just that one thing you're looking for. I guess that's done on purpose to get you to buy more stuff.
A few empty units will the look and feel though.
It's nothing special as malls go, but if you're nearby, need to get rid of some time and money, it's fine.
S. C.Loads of parking and varied stores. B&M has everything you need from essentials like bread and milk to home furnishings. It also sells alcohol and decorating supplies.
Dunelm is a lovely store. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for I suppose.
Smyths toys store is amazing. Lots of deals and choice. Very helpful staff.

Young children will unfortunately be an issue at times the nearest toilets are in b&q but currently out of order

d. c.The park has undergone lots of changes in the last few years. The closer of bhs, brantano and toys r us left the retail park feeling empty. In the last few months McDonald's and the mill shop have opened and it's nice to see a few more people visiting.

R. S.It is a shame no one can be found to take over BSH and Brantanos old units as this makes the shopping centre look rather run down. Otherwise there is a good selection with Home Sense being my favourite. It could do with a couple of large name clothing retailers and a restaurant to compliment Laura Ashley. The most awful thing is you only have 3 hours parking which has reduced from 4. I can be in Home sense alone for 2 so if you want a Starbucks and browse round the other shops you are stuffed as I found to my cost when I got a 50 parking fine. That was an expensive Latte! Please retailers sort out the parking company!

I have had an energy drink, not the usual one who gives you wings, but one made by the same manufacturer of the most successful soft drink in humankind history.
P. T.Good range, poor staff management. Cashiers have zero authorization, causing delays, shelves always wrong price.

R.We went to “ The Range “ and was not disappointed with the extensive offerings, even did the Frozen food shop at the Iceland branch inside!
T. P.very little choice if shops. BHS closed and toys r us not far off. Great if you need a new sofa but few other reasons to visit.
K. A.Good spacious shops to include BHS, Next, Toys R Us and Home Sense. I visited DW Gym on a guest pass with a view to joining, on a Sunday afternoon, DW has a nice gym and a really lovely swimming pool. Unfortunately I have been put off joining as I received a parking notice a few days later advising I strayed over 3 hours. Obviously there is no allowance for spending almost 15 minutes trying to find a space on a busy Sunday. Worth noting there is unlimited free parking in the actual town centre on a Sunday, instead of risking ridiculous parking charges when there is no actual fee in the first place. I wont be back to DW gym or BHS and Home Sense due to this outrageous fee
