Plenty of merchandise some good bargains to be had on occasions also very good quality. One problem on the last time I visited the young girl who served me left the security tag on a T shirt I bought. I didn't realize until I got home, so I'm going to have to go back and get it removed, so that won't be a bargain at all.

Great selection of kits, clothing and merchandise and lovely, friendly, helpful staff

I've been using the Villa shop for many years and on the vast majority of visits the staff have both helpful and friendly. Like all busy stores there's the odd occasion when you have to wait be served, but is was normally on match days. The prices are higher than some of the outlet type stores, but in line with other premier league clubs but at least you know that you are buying genuine products. I have found that the quality of the kit is very much dependant on the kit supplier, with KAPPA and MACRON being by far the worst that I can remember. T-Shirts, Hoodies etc have always been good quality though

It is a large store but over the last few years variety of stock has got less and less. The prices of the products are high on majority for the average quality. The store has a changing cubicle and also a station for printing on the shirts. The store has plenty of till facilities so you get though the queue quickly even on matchdays. It is a shame no imagination on products and also very little for adults or anything of high quality for those that want to buy something a little more special rather than the generic junk that ends up in the end of season sales. The store has a lot of potential if the buying and marketing team do some research on what fans want. Saying that it is still the best club shop in the Championship.

I had come to the shop on Wednesday and i was immediately greeted by a young boy by the name of Mohammed who was so kind and welcoming. i had come in for a shirt for that i would later need personalisation as a family member had just passed away and was a villa fan, he showed me and my daughter around, providing me with loads of information. once he had helped me he personally attended me on the tills and made sure the lady on printing knew exactly how i wanted the printing done. Also, when i was paying for the shirt and printing i could not find my card and he was very supportive, telling me that this happens all the time and not to worry about it. He was such a wonderful person to interact with and i would definitely recommend coming to the store whenever he is working as i can guaranty that you will get the best quality service available. i would just like to say thank you to this young lad, as he did not have to go out of his way to help me due to the fact that when we were talking he told me he was working 11-3 and i was being served by at ten past.

THE SCOTTISH LION OF THE MIDLANDS The Scottish lion and the word ‘Prepared’ have been part of the Aston Villa crest since the club’s foundation in 1874 and modifications have been few. Historically, Aston Villa is one of England’s most important football clubs. The team from Birmingham was, in fact, one of the 12 first participants in the English League, though it took until 1894 before Aston Villa won their first League title. The club chairman William McGregor played an important role both for the club and for English football in general. During his time in charge, Villa won six league titles and took the FA Cup home four times – the most brilliant period in the club’s history. McGregor also founded the country’s top division, in 1888, and carried through reform on a national level, which resulted in the professionalisation of the game. Thanks to McGregror, English players were now able to earn money from their sport. McGregor had been enticed to Aston Villa in the first place by a strong connection to Birmingham’s Scottish community. McGregor was himself Scottish and felt a kinship with Villa, so in 1877 he chose to work for them. The Scottish identity assumed its greatest importance when he decided the lion from Scotland’s royal crest should be the emblem of Aston Villa. Thus for over a hundred years the Scottish national crest has symbolised one of England’s most successful clubs. After McGregor’s death in 1911, Aston Villa never quite reached the same heights again, even if the club did develop into one of England’s strongest brands. The victory in the European Cup in 1982 was their greatest achievement – a title that was, incidentally, won with four Scottish players in the squad.
