Fantastic service. Simon is very knowledgeable and friendly. I tried out 4 different pairs of shoes in the treadmill and the ones I've bought are brilliant. Just been for my first run in them and they're just what I need.

1st time ever at Up& Running and was an outstanding overall experience. Both staff were so professional, helpful, kind and friendly. I was given plenty of good suggestions before picking your running trainers. Great variety of items. Everything clean, tidy and well organized. They will give a free gait analysis to help you determine which shoe is best for you. They will put you on their treadmill for around 20 seconds and will look at how u are landing, where u are landing and for any misalignments biomechanically within the ankles and knees.

Simon is such a nice, funny and helpful guy, he takes extra care with each customer while analysing your gait and he doesn't try to give you a hard sell on anything and really lets you take your time. He clearly wants every customer to leave with a positive experience. Definitely come in and speak to him whether you're after some new shoes or just looking for some advice on an upcoming purchase. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Great shop with very friendly and helpful staff. They spent a good amount of time helping me pick out my new pair of trail running shoes. Let me try on plenty of different brands and explained the pros and cons of each whilst letting me use the treadmill to see which felt best. Thoroughly recommend!

Visited last week after suffering with plantar fasciitis for a few months. Cannot rate this place and the staff highly enough. I was given gait analysis and shown the results which were explained to me. Then I tried on and used the treadmill in several pairs that were recommended, I was never rushed or pressured. Eventually I decided on a pair and paid no more than online prices. New trainers are a game changer and im now able to run again pain free. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Really nice store and very friendly too. Looked at a pair of Hoka One One Carbon X2 and Speedgoat 4's, allowed to try on and run on the treadmill to test. Given the time I wanted to make a choice and was informed that they match online prices. Came back the next day and was remembered before making a purchase. Really nice store and happy to do business with them. They are out of my way but I will be back when I am in the area next.

Great service - Scott assisted me with Gait Testing and recommended and I was able to try a few pairs. Got to a pair I was comfortable with (and was even shown how to tie my laces properly so my ankle is in place). Very knowledgeable staff member and would recommend to anyone, regardless of running proficiency.

As always, great service from the staff at the Bournemouth store. I make the trip from Salisbury every year or so for a fresh fitment with analysis on the treadmill and for their excellent advise. They are so polite and friendly, no need to be any kind of athlete they are happy to help, and come highly recommended from me.

Went to Up & Running in Moordown. Met Ian who was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely brilliant... free video analysis on the treadmill showed very slight supination but apparently good running style surprisingly! So Ian was able to recommend suitable trainers. Tried several pairs...all amazing but went for Saucony Ride 14 as they had the slight edge. So comfortable they feel like a second skin! Ian also gave advice on other gear and offered extra discount. Can't recommend enough - I'd give 6 stars if I could.

Great personal service. It was quite busy and the guy was a bit rushed to get everyone seen before closing but I never felt like an inconvenience. Would have liked a slightly deeper consultation (as I'm a newbie) but I put that down to the lack of time.

I was moved to write a review by the outstanding customer service. Two things: firstly you're not just allowed but ENCOURAGED to take as many shoes as you like for a quick spin round the block. Second, the advice was definitely expert: I was given a story about exactly what was unique about each shoe. The nice lady chose a selection of shoes for me based on the terrain I run on and the distance. I also learnt that you need to go bigger than usual as your feet swell as you run (up to one size for marathons - so there! I only do 5-10 km so half a size bigger). One other thing - the camaraderie between all the customers and the staff was brilliant, you definitely feel part of the running family from the moment you enter the shop. A really fun and useful shopping experience, thank you!

Buying a decent pair of shoes has transformed my running. Up and running staff analysed how I ran and the best options for my style of running. It's not a cheap but I personally would rather pay more and get the right fit as the cost in injury is not worth any savings. Recommend.

Called into Up and Running on a busy Saturday morning to choose some new running trainers. There were 4 or 5 of us in the shop waiting to be served, however the lady and gentleman who were serving did a very good job of multitasking, making us all feel welcome and that each of our individual needs were being catered too. The gentleman first analysed my gait by having me run on a treadmill and watched on camera to see how my foot falls. He then disappeared into the store room and came back moments later with 5 pairs of trainers suited to my feet, allowing me to try on each pair, and go for a short run outside the shop. This really does help you to get a proper feel for the different shoes, something you don’t get from the usual ‘shoe shop walk. ’ I eventually settled for a nice pair of ON cloudflow. The most comfortable running shoes I’ve ever bought. If you’re in the market for new running trainers or accessories, this is the place to go!

Received a service when I recently bought a pair of 'proper' running shoes. Spent a couple of minutes on the treadmill to review my running style, then got to try on four pairs, which I tested by doing brief runs outside. Staff are very knowledgeable and while you could probably get the same shoes cheaper online, you're paying extra for an exemplary and thorough service.

Very helpful staff. Went in the shop looking for some running shoes as I'm entering a half marathon. One lady greeted me and understood what I needed and then directed me to run on the treadmill for a few minutes in a pair of neutral trainers in order to analyse the way my feet and ankles moved when I run. From this she brought out a number of pairs for me to try out on the hard floor outside and I managed to find myself a perfect pair at a discounted price which was a bonus!
