Mel and Team did a fab job mounting new plates on my skates. I dropped my boots off and picked them up a week later (postage was an option offered). On my visit to the store, I was also looking for new toestops. Mel let me try the toestops on my skates so I could determine the max/min height and also how the colour aesthetics looked. They have a great selection of Derby Laces too! Super helpful and very welcoming in-store experience. Thank you!

Best shop to get your skates from! So friendly and helpful, explaining everything and helping you get the best skates for your budget (no pushy upwelling!). Lots of cute accessories too and everything you need to skate. The classes are insanely helping for building your confidence and helped with my anxiety so much. All the instructors and volunteers are super supportive and friendly, feels like a proper community.

Helpful, stayed open late especially for us! Attention to detail. I highly recommend. My daughters spins and turns out there on the few smooth bits of Sheffield tar Mac are something else now she is practicing in her new healed boots. It makes her so happy. What a joy and labour of love this small shop and hub for roller skating this place is for the north. Well with the journey to try them all. Thank you for your time in helping her find what she needed. Brilliant.

I saw a pair of Moxi skates in my size on the website so decided to pop on down to the store. The lovely ladies were super helpful, was an absolute pleasure to buy from them. The store has everything you need to get up and running with lots of choice. So many beautiful things! They also run events including a roller disco in the corn exchange, what a lovely place to have it! I will definitely be signing up for some of the courses / events and will only shop there for anything I need in the future. If you value customer service like I do, you'll be very impressed. They go above and beyond what most places would offer. I'd give them more than 5* if I could.

Attend the beginners+ classes and couldn’t recommend them enough. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive and I always leave so happy that I’ve gone and feeling so lucky to have them locally. Roller Girl Gang are simply the best! I needed to order a pair of custom Riedell skates from the USA, and Helen and Mel provided a super efficient service, liaising back and forth with the distributer where required. Living in France, even with the Brexit taxes and fees, I will order what I need there. The team is so kind, helpful and always available for questions. I recommend RGG, I told to most of my friends in France and in Geneva how the shop choose good products. They can even dye your wheels with 3 max colors!!! I’m addicted to RollerGirlGang !

I can't even begin to describe how lovely and helpful and informative Mel is. I have no idea if she has staff or does this solo but she clearly works INCREDIBLY hard to provide an excellent service to people all over the UK. This can't be underestimated during this crazy booming time for rollerskates during the pandemic. I've made a couple orders with Roller Girl Gang in the last 6 months, some of which have been fairly complicated and in which we have had a fair few email exchanges. One of these culminated with a spontaneous request for a plate change which Mel didn't seem to bat an eyelid about (and the skates arrived perfectly mounted). Every single time I have been so impressed with how swiftly my questions have been answered, and always with such a positive attitude, despite the fact that I'm certain I've been more than annoying with my queries! HUGE props to Mel (and team if you have one) you have a customer for life! Just wish I lived closer to Leeds but can't wait to visit one day and browse in person.

Great shop. Mel and Len are super friendly and enthusiastic about what they do. There is an excellent range of roller skates and related goodies available to buy and they can offer loads of advice if you're not sure what would be best for your needs. It's good to be able to try the skates on before you buy, and the shop is in a nice central location so easy to get to for most people. There is an online shop too which is really easy to use. Would also recommend the classes which they do regularly from learning to skate to more advance skills. They will work with you to help you improve whatever level you're at.

These girls make the most supportive, precise and friendly customer service I've ever experienced in rollerskate shops. I ordered from their website twice and the second order was a tricky one as it was a pre-order of Moxi Jack Black boots. If you are in the rollerskating community you know that there's been a lot of expectation around those boots and the release date was uncertain but the girls managed the whole thing perfectly, constantly sending me updates. I got a tracking code for my parcel and I was able to follow every single move of it. I got my boots just after 5 days of waiting (I live in Italy). They were perfectly wrapped and they also gave me free stickers! If you're thinking about ordering something from their website or participating to one of their amazing pop up shop events, do it! It will be totally worth your time and money!

A long overdue review! Mel and Len go above and beyond for the roller skate community, from my first purchase of skate lights a few years ago to my more recent purchase of Moxi Jack boots you can tell they do this to share the love and joy of roller skating! I’ve been to a roller dance class of theirs and also the 90s roller disco, both were awesome and so much fun!! Roller Girl Gang is my number 1 go to place for anything skate related, in fact recently my phone has auto-added their site to my phone bookmarks because I’m always on the hunt for new skate stuff - and I am very happy about this 😂❤️ Another great thing is that they offer brilliant advice, so I always feel comfortable asking for help before ordering...you gals are AWESOME ❤️

Mel and Len did a birthday party for my 11 year daughter and were fantastic. The children had so much fun, Mel and Len were so good at helping the children to skate with confidence. What a store! The only place to go for all your roller skating needs. Traveled 2½ hours to visit and I have to say the journey was worth it. I met Sophie today who gave the best advice and guided me through choosing between 2 pairs of skates without any pressure or upselling. This is why I shop at independent stores. Genuine people with the best customer service skills helping you buy the right skates/products. I'm so excited to get out and learn to skate again and looking forward to going back to Roller Girl Gang again.
