This was a brilliant little gem of a skate shop. The owner (I'm assuming he was the owner but whoever assisted us) was an ex skater and really knew his stuff, fitted our boots well and was able to offer great advice on blades and progression for my daughters skates, particularly as she has tiny feet and wouldn't have the options other skaters at her level would have. We didn't feel pressured or rushed despite it being very busy and he was never offering things which were expensive for no reason. Walked out with new skates and extremely happy. Well worth us taking the time to come down and visit. Highly recommended if you want some advice and help with your skate purchase.

Nothing beats finding a shop that know about good service and thats exactly what we received at London Skate Centre. We visited as we were looking to have our son properly fitted for ice hockey skates. The guys at London Skate measured him up and gave us a variety of skates to try and were very patient and full of advice whilst my son tried on the skates on offer. Alex and Luke were incredibly helpful and patient! Me and my husband picked out our first pair of ice skates after 2 weeks of lessons, and they helped us find the right size and comfort offering us multiple different pairs to try on. They even showed us how to properly tie the laces and tips for getting used to the new skates. Perfect place to pick up a pair of roller blades. I went in there having been a decent skater as a kid, but not having picked up a pair in 20 years. Sorted out with a really nice pair for a very reasonable price by two staff members whose names I didn't get, but who were patient, helpful and enthusiastic and made me feel very welcome - no question was too stupid! Really glad I picked this shop.

This place is really the beyond experience, who really care for costumers. I had no idea what to buy but the manager and his team took around 45 minutes to help me out pick the right product. I have never experienced such costumer care since 1995 such actually mattered. Many thanks for the help I am very glad for my ice-skates which I am using every week at Queensway. Also it is very easy to get some help from the shop in case something is not all right. They take care of it immediately.

Amazing, welcoming team! And perfect fitting skates! Came here just today and Alex was amazing! He was so sweet and welcoming to me and my sister as soon as we entered the store. As a complete beginner to inline skating, I really appreciated the help and advice I received when I dropped in to buy my first pair of skates. We discussed what I was looking for, and I tried on two different models before purchasing my preferred ones. I'm not from the UK but I was visiting London, so I wrote to them asking if they could get me a pair of blades (not your standard model either, the Wilson Coronation Ace Revolution) and they were super helpful, insanely fast and wonderful and accommodating throughout the process. I been helped by this gentleman Alex, I was not sure between 2 different pair of roller skates and the size of it. I visited London Skate Centre and was left with a great feeling of satisfaction, the customer service provided by the Manager Alexander and Customer Adviser Luke was exceptionally great, warm and welcoming. I came to buy a pair of figure ice skates and was met by Alex and Luke, they were really friendly and professional. I choose a type of skates to try and my feet were measured in order to be sure that it is going to fit well. I liked my selection and purchased a great pair of ice skates called Edea Overture. I was really impressed on how knowledgeable the staff were, Luke told me that he ice skates a lot and has a lots of experience in ice skating. The Manager Alexander is a professional Figure Ice Skating Trainer. Luke and Alex recommended my skates to be sharpened, it was done in front of me and the after care advice was given. I am fairly new to figure ice skating and got a lot out of talking to Alex and Luke. I can't speak highly enough about my experience at the London Skate Centre! The staff in the shop is so warm and friendly. I knew I was in good hands from the moment Alec introduced himself. I am a former competitive figure skater, who hasn't skated in over a decade, and was feeling a bit nervous about buying a new pair of skates. Alec was so helpful and knowledgable! He helped me choose the boot and blades that best fit my needs, and he was incredibly patient in the process. Likewise, Luke was very patient in helping fit the blades to my boots. I felt completely taken care of, and very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought my RF3s from London Skate Centre a while ago and they fitted Coronation Ace blades for me. Best site within central London! My first experience in the store each of the staff were friendly and passionate about their craft, so any question I had they were happy to answer! They didn't just try and force a sale on me but we're more interested in me trying on difference skates and about how I felt in each pair. I hadn't returned to the store for almost a year later, but when I returned to get my skates sharpened Luke (worker) even remembered me. I have recommended this place to many of my friends, and suffice to say if they stocked full ice hockey equipment, I would be in there alot more! I am a complete novice and I came into the shop looking for some advice. I must say that I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews where people spoke of not being well received and attended (granted that most reviews are extremely positive but I always look at the worse ones just in case). This could not be further from the truth, the owner very kindly gave me tonnes of advice, measured my feet, got me to try on a few skates and in the end recommended I buy the cheapest one as i was too much of a beginner to justify the more expensive pairs. Also (and in direct opposition to what some reviewers claim) the skates were sharpened for free and I have a second complimentary sharpening for free. All in all I have to say I was very satisfied and also convinced those negative reviews must come from malicious competitors!

I decided to go for a pair of hockey skates because of their comfort, look and price, and I wasn't disappointed! I highly recommend London Skate Centre because of the fantastic service that I received there. Not only were they great when I bought my skates a couple of years ago, but also afterwards. I had an amazing experience at London Skate Centre. I went in browsing for my second pair of figure skates, and Luke helped me find an excellent pair. He took the time to answer my questions and concerns, and he asked me questions in return to make sure I recieved the right pair for me. He recommended a blade to me and explained how it was different and an upgrade from my current blades, helped me try on boot after boot, and sharpened the blades and cut down the hard guards to fit! I left much more knowledgable about skates than when I entered. I was very impressed with the service. When I tested them out for the first time, I noticed a problem in the sole of the boot. I brought them back and he fixed it quickly and free of charge. I live in the States, and am very happy I decided to buy my new skates here, as the experience here was much better than what I have recieved back home, with much better prices. We travelled a relatively long distance to buy figure skating boots from a shop that would provide us with service and not just stock; and we were not disappointed. Alec was helpful and knowledgeable, and brought us lots of different brands and sizes so we could be sure we had the best-fitting pair. Yes you can buy cheaper boots online, but it's a really bad idea unless you're buying the identical boots to your current pair, as different brands and boots fit completely differently. I'm starting figure skating lessons as a beginner at Lee valley ice centre this week and so went to get some skates properly fitted here on Thursday. Alec helped me in the shop and what can I say he was just fabulous and so so helpful and friendly! I literally went in with no idea what I was really doing as I'm just a dancer in everyday life but have no real skate experience so didn't even know how to tie up the boot initially however he was on hand to give me tips and to show me how it was done which was much appreciated. He let me try on a couple and had me have a little walk around the shop to check I was well supported and comfortable in them and then when I chose which pair I wanted he sorted getting the blades sharpened straight away and also helped me pick out some blade guards. I couldn't have asked for better service (the best service I've had in a long while) and I'm so so happy with the price and the product. Edit again: I got my skates sharpened here and the edges were not balanced. Inside edge bit much more than the outside. I went back, and they tried to fix it for free, but unfortunately it still didn't fix it. I think they need to calibrate the prosharp machine. I went to a different sharpening shop, and they fixed it. My step black edge steel feels great!

My experience at London Skate Center was pleasant, friendly and educational. I was served by Alex and Luke they make the whole process easy and I would go back there. They had some good banta too. The hockey skates I purchased were for beginner level and were recommended to me once I explained what kind of skating I wanted to do. I was shown the correct way to lace up my boots and was asked about the fit frequently. They even went and got me another size to try without any bother. Couldn’t have asked for better customer service. London Skate Center will sharpen the skates for you and provide a free sharpening (within 3 months). Pricing obviously depends on the qualityand type of Skate you purchase and they seemed to have decent prices from what I’ve compared to online. If you wanted to bake you Skate the don’t have an oven to provide that service. Only reason I gave a 4star review. I wanted to leave 4.5 but google wouldnt let me. 4.5/5 would recommend.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at this skate shop! It was about a 5-8 min walk from Queensway tube station (very scenic and pretty if you walk through Hyde Park on the parallel path, just make sure you come out of the park before you have to turn on to Leinster Terrace) and really easy to find. The man working there (I didn't catch his name unfortunately) is lovely and very well informed (he was serving about 4 different clients at once, he said it's usually about this busy), he helped me get fitted for a pair of figure skates, was patient and kind when I had questions and sharpened them when I'd decided on a pair. Highly recommend, whether you're curious about skate boarding, hockey, figure skating, rollerblading etc the young man working there would be more than happy to help you and there is a really good selection for all different kinds of skating! Within minutes, Sam had several different pairs of skates out ready for me to try. I was in the shop for around 20-30 minutes and both Alec and Sam only left my side to get another pair out. I came here to upgrade my ice skates as my old ones have broken down. As a figure skater and a coach himself, Alex is professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He is honest, and doesn't sell you anything that's not right for you. Alex carefully measured my feet, informed me of the characteristics of different brands, and advised me what he thinks would be the most suitable ones according to the peculiar shape of my feet (wide and thick). I got the Belati boots and Coronation Ace blades in the end. Though I am still in the process of breaking them in, I already noticed significant improvement in my edges control and jumps (as my previous boots were - per Alex's expert diagnosis - far too large with blades that were way too long - no wonder I struggled so much). My Belati boots now provide so much support I need for my jumps, and I am completely in love with my new Coronation Ace blades - they make it easier to spin, and I now come out of my jumps with a much deeper edge and more speed! Luke also sharpens the blades for me with such precision and delicate care, I would not have gone anywhere else!

I went to this skate shop to buy my first pair of ice skates and honestly it was a great experience, my feet size was measured and I proceeded to try on different skates until I found the one for me, along the way I was given advice according to my skating level in order to choose the best boot for me. Before I went to the shop itself, I read their honest, no-nonsense advice on their website, called 'Choosing and fitting ice skates'. Very useful advice, well worth reading! In the shop itself, the welcoming staff let me take all the time I needed to try on different skates. They never tried to pressurise me into buying the more expensive ones. They just told me things that helped me to make the right decision. As well as great skates they have helmets, pad sets, blade guards, the lot. I'm a slightly nervous beginner but now I can't wait to get back on the ice. Go to The London Skate Centre: your feet will be in good hands!
