I have been looking for some shoes or boots for a while now. Not really walking boots as I already have some, more shoes that I could wear every day. As the ones I have are showing signs of wear and tear. I went to Go Outdoors which is only 10 or 15 minutes walk from where I live, but they did not have what I wanted. So with the shops opening up I thought I would have a look at some of the shops in Newcastle. Sports Direct did not have anything that I wanted nor did Cotswold Outdoor shop. Problem was though with me being a member of the Tyneside Ramblers if I show my Ramblers membership card. I get 15% discount on whatever I buy from the Cotswold outdoor shop But the other side of the practical joke is that I have (although not at the same time) broken 1 ankle and sprained the other. Then just to make things really fun I suffer from gout as well so I have to be careful what shoes I buy. I went to the North face Outdoor shop and they had some boots there that were exactly what I wanted. Full credit must be given to the North face outdoor shop in Newcastle.🥾🥾🎒🥾🥾🎒🥾🥾🎒

A typical The North Face store; there was hand sanitiser at the door and measures were in place to hinder the spread of COVID-19. The staff were very professional and helpful. All in all a very pleasant shopping experience.

I wanted to share an update on my #coatgate situation that my brother first shared on social media, specifically to do with my damaged The North Face coat. So another visit took place to the Newcastle store today accompanied by said Brother. After an extended discussion, a positive resolution was agreed with store manager Craig. I really just wanted to note my appreciation to Craig for being willing to escalate the issue on our behalf, in order for this resolution to be reached.
