Reviews of Murrayfield Stadium
M. F.
What an experience! To attend to a match! Great facilities, very friendly staff. Variety of food within, the sound works really well. The seats are rather comfortable. I can't wait to go back and watch Scotland win again!! 🏴👏🏻👏🏻🏴 …
R. M.
Incredible stadium, just a short walk away from the city. The food and drinks are on the pricey side but what you would expect at a top tier sporting event. Listening to the Scottish national anthem sung by the home crowd is truly amazing.
E. E.
What an experience this is. It is an absolute must to come and watch a rugby game. Well done to Scottish Rugby and Murrayfield for doing such a great job. Security staff were super helpful. No issues at all.
C. M.
Great seat, good views. Cold and windy, but you'd expect that in Feb in Scotland. Strangely, all food and drink venues were outside. Just as well it wasn't raining.
s. t.
Great stadium. Been there for internationals. Heineken Cup games and club games. The atmosphere when at full capacity is a fantastic experience
T. M.
Well organised stadium with a good selection of food stands, drink stands are ok (great for soft drinks, slightly more limited choice of alcohol type/brands) but manageable. I don't think there is a bad seat and it is always a fantastic atmosphere. Introduction of digital tickets this year is great and much easier. The security staff are helpful and friendly.
J.
Great stadium. Helpful steward's to get you to the right area/seat. Getting the tram to stadium is a pain as it's jam packed. Top tip in you're in the city centre - catch it going the opposite way as its a small loop in the city. Trust me it works when it's super busy!
L. T.
Scottish Rugby fans are great! Excellent atmosphere, festival feel before and after the match. Toilets weren't the best but the staff were doing their best, well done to them.

I've now been to Merryfield Stadium twice Scotland vs Australia for my first then Scotland vs Fiji. Absolutely loved it, atmosphere was amazing 🤩 …
M. M.
I love coming here to Murrayfield watch the rugby. It was atmospheric today. Supporting both my teams SA and Scotland. Well organised. This time it was England Vs Scotland.

First time here for a rugby game, atmosphere was awesome. The stewards were helpful only downside is the food and beverages were a bit pricey £2.25 for a £1.00 can of beer a little OTT.
A. R.
Saw the Eagles at Murrayfield 22 June ,2022. Fab concert. Well organised. Great facilities.
R. B.
Attended for Thebans Clinic. Was an amazing weekend! The pitches were great especially the ones to the side of the stadium. Loads of rugby played. A great event and cool stadium. The bar on site was great and staff friendly.
K. J.
Hadn't been to Murryfield for 35 years. Has it improved! Fabulous stadium with a great atmosphere inside. Loads of choice of street food options available inside and outside actual stadium which was priced pretty much the same as the pubs. Extremely well organised friendly staff and security on site. Transport to and from stadium was plentyful and often. Top marks
C. H.
Came here for Scale Scotland Scale Model Show. Fab venue, great day out. Stadiu staff very friendly and helpful.
I. C.
Amazing experience! incredible place to visit! and with Sérgio doing the tour even more special!
C. L.
Great atmosphere everytime and always a great day out for the rugby! Just a Shane we didn't win
H. M.
UGHHHH THAT WAS CRAZY! IVE NEVER ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED THAT SORT OF ATMOSPHERE AT A GAME BEFORE. ITS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC, THE PASSION!
C. B.
Great day watching the Scotland v
NewZealand atmosphere was electric.
s. l. b.
Great venue easily navigable good security and a great all round experience.
F. P.
Amazing venue and atmosphere but needs more beer taps rather than cans
P. C.
Great Experience, was there for Scotland vs Australia.
S. S.
Great seats, well signposted, ok choices of drink etc on site. Easy to get there with public transport, but had to walk well into town on way back as absolutely crammed! Part of the fun though!
C. H.
Been many, many times over the years. Atmosphere is always top notch. A great day out. I was there last week for the All Blacks game. Almost beat them, the 117 year wait continues.
B. L.
Season Pass. Autumn Series - Australian, Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina. 6 Nations - Ireland, Wales and Italy. What an atmosphere when the crowd sings Flower Of Scotland. No hassle, nice crowd, supporters mingling - the way it should be.
A. G.
Great night and venue for rugby 🏉 A shocking missed penalty with 30 seconds left on the clock to lose to the Wallabies. Still it was a fantastic start to the autumn tests. Bring on the All Blacks !!! …
A. C.
Good result helped. I am a convert from football. Its great to sit, sing, drink if you wish (with no animosity) amongst opposing fans. The facilities are top notch.
T. C.
A wonderful rugby stadium, very easy to walk from central Edinburgh which is a great advantage!
T.
Nice stadium, good crowd handling procedures, but concessions are expensive £6 for a pasty £12 for fish and chips, £3 for a small bottle of water. Food is good quality but pricey. Seating a little cramped but bearable. Good day out.
H. F.
Love the atmosphere at Murrayfield you can't beat it but they really need to do something about the ladies toilets.
The ones we used in the North stand were disgusting for the autumn internationals some blocked before the game and all by half time..this has to be a health risk.
I. H.
First time at Murrayfield in years but it's just as good as I remember. Staff are great at getting everyone in and to their seats. Getting out and into the tram for the journey back was well executed too. Can't wait for the next visit 😊 …
S. D.
One of the great sporting stadiums. Seats are very small, almost like primary school plastic chairs. Everyone gets a great view of the action though.
W. T.
Best rugby stadium in Scotland. Fantastic atmosphere. Beer is a bit pricey. Lots of food bars with good choice of food.
A. G.
The ambiance was crazy they played very well till the end
k. s.
Murray field at its best. The most brilliant experience in the world
G. K.
Home of Scottish Rugby. Great when we win, not so good when we don’t!! Good bar service and always seems relatively quick service due to their queuing systems.
C. H.
I love going to murrayfield, it has a fantastic atmosphere and foodstands and drink stands aplenty when scotland is playing. Where they fall down is on a distinct lack ladies toilets. I understand that more men than women used to go to matches however over the years an increasing amount of women have started to enjoy watching the game. The ladies toilets need to be upgraded.
I. B.
Absolutely first class great set up with the fan zone and outlets around the stadium. Returned last week for the first time in over 35 years and again this week "Brilliant"
A. R.
Stunning stadium. This was the end point for the mighty stride kiltwalk.
B. B.
First ever international rugby experience, superb atmosphere and a fantastic day. Despite being so busy they catered well for the crowds
D. H.
Awesome atmosphere, easy to get into stadium and although the prices are a little bit steep, it's what you would expect at a large events venue
r.
The best Scotland-New Zealand rugby
R. J.
This weekend and we did England vs Japan and then drove up to Murrayfield for the following day Scotland vs New Zealand absolutely fantastic great ground Good Food great crowd
K. D.
Woo.. the home of Scottish Rugby. It's an amazing place with beautiful surroundings. Very well kept and such friendly and helpful staff as well as security. The stadium shop is great and is a great attraction for any rugby fan. The display and information is very well arranged and a pleasure to look at.
S. W.
Great atmosphere at the stadium as always. Ticket gates are a tight squeeze though, smaller than other stadiums I've been to.
S. n.
Good stadium with good facilities. A little hard to find your seat as numbering starts in the middle of the row, not at the ends. Tram service nearby which is good to get to game, but you need patience when heading home afterwards as it gets very crowded and trams are not that big.
R. D.
Went for the rugby, big stadium, plenty to eat and drink
S. B.
Guess could call this an older stadium, but seems to provide a great matchday experience. Easy to get into the ground and easy to find ones seats. Provides a good view of the playing pitch, easy to access toilets and food outlets. Also easy to leave the ground post match and is an easy walk back into the west end of Edinburgh. Watched the Scotland v Italy rugby game there and to experience the crowd singing Flower of Scotland before the game is a must have experience.
A. S.
Fantastic stadium with great sightlines. Brilliant atmosphere from start to finish of Scotland rugby internationals. Food outlets are particularly good, so get there before kick off and enjoy a beer and a bite, as well as soaking up the pre match atmosphere.
A. W.
Went here to watch The Rolling Stones - brilliant night, great venue, its huge! Lots of bars serving food and drink plenty of marshals and staff around keeping things running smoothly.
Sky high prices for the food and drink but you only live once! Really easy to get to, you can take the tram directly from Princes Street. Beware that when concerts are on, these trams are packed! So give yourself plenty of time to get there.
No problems on arrival, we had VIP tickets so queued for literally 30 seconds before being allowed through.
M. B.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere today in a great stadium 🏟 Flower of Scotland rang out heartily - never heard it sung so loudly - pre match entertainment outstanding - coffee food and beer stalls plentiful - the Scottish Rugby 🏉 Team deserved the win and the Calcutta Cup stays in Edinburgh 🏆 …
R. J.
Lovely stadium with a great bunch of people looking after the fans, yes people can say food and drink is overpriced but where isn't these days , there's a few things to do in the fan zone prior to the game but things are still scaled-down due to the ongoing Covid situation. For some pre and post match atmosphere head to the Up and Under bar at the stadium ( if you can get in as it can get very busy) , have not heard much grumbling this season about lack of toilets so hopefully the SRU have sorted out the past problems. There is an online shop for official merchandise as well as the unofficial stuff being sold outside on the streets, the trams pass the stadium every 10 minutes or so before and after the games and buses and trains are another source of transport to the area. All in all its a great national rugby venue as well as having the new DAM stadium for Edinburgh rugby next to it.
M. W.
Great place with an excellent atmosphere. Food and beverages are very accessible and generally queueing isn't too bad. There are a few good pub's just outside the ground but there is 20 minute walk to the stadium from the centre of Edinburgh.
R. S.
Even though it is an international rugby stadium, the arrangements for getting supporters in and out were superb. The range of food on offer was impressive, as were the very, very reasonable prices. Twickenham should take note that you don;t have to rip off supporters.
R.
The Scots are passionate about their rugby and as long as it's not England vs Scotland (and your supporting England) your safe ha ha
J. S.
Incredible stadium. Went to watch Scotland vs South Africa the Scottish were wonderful friendly hosts to us South Africans and the singing of the Scottish national anthem will live with me for the rest of my life
A. N.
The stadium is awesome. Well positioned and convenient for travel. It caters for everything around the stands from quality food, drink and enough toilets. Great place for a concert. There is a lot of outlets to reduce queing.
G. G.
BT Murryfield looks amazing stadium but 🏴 women were playing at the DAM Health stadium next door 😅 but still a great atmosphere regardless of the score line & got to meet one of the 🌹 out of uniform at Waverly Station....... …
N. H.
Great day out alot of thing to do before the game
W. T.
Another visit to this Stadium where you expect the Best from Scotlands Best but sadly yet another let down.
Staff Excellent, couldn't fault them.
Catering, please be ware you just have to drink wine, Larger or Gin, no other spirits available, at any other venue you have a much larger choice, very poor selection from such a huge venue, I assume in Hospitality there is a much larger selection, all depends on how much you can afford.
T. O.
Went and saw the football at the home of Scottish Rugby.
The game was Liverpool v Napoli which unfortunately Liverpool got beat 3 nil. The stadium was very big and the staff on duty were very friendly and helpful, telling us where our seats were. Had a great time there. Thought I did find the food and drink a bit pricey
a. b. (.
Murrayfield stadium is located at murrayfield Edinburgh.
It's a nice place to be.
K. B.
Most beautifull rugbystadium I know, great athmosphere, great fanzone, good view on the pitch. Sound and lights are good! There's a whole lot of toillets, only not many for Sheila's. Me being a guy that isn't a problem... Teams can bee seen on arrival at the stadium from up close and accompanied by pipers. To go short: one of those things for your bucketlist!!!
C. B.
Love this stadium and the rugby is always great. The family area is brilliant and the choice of food stalls is brilliant.
Just be careful if your planning on bringing a bag as there are restrictions.
D. Y.
Scotland Rugby is my passion and we go as many times as possible, however don't think about buying a can of Lager at £8 a tin it's daylight robbery. Greedy SRU.
B. H.
Great stadium. Could do with more food and drink stalls.
R. D.
Big rugby stadium on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Has its own tram stop. Useful.
Bit of a walk out from the city.
Taxi to Airport is £25.
D. W.
Fantastic evening watching the rugby
A. D.
Good to be back at Murrayfield. Real party atmosphere with music, food and beers available. Pity about the result on the pitch.
S. W.
A very interesting stadium tour is available, letting you see some interesting artifacts, and historic memorabilia. A chatty, informative host, who is is no rush to move you to the next stage.
Thoroughly recommended for rugby fans of all nations.
M. R.
Not the place to be if you don't like crowds, but a great atmosphere and lots of interesting food and drink stalls. Shame the queues are so long.
H. h.
Amazing, but watch those double letter tickets, so high up in the heavens. But amazing view of the Edinburgh skyline and the fireworks from the castle.
B. H.
Great stadium and helpful stewards..
..but Edinburgh Rugby lost (again) to Glasgow Warriors 😭😭 …
b. m.
Great atmosphere against georgia and even the georgia fans took part in 4 stadium waves, great game, great atmosphere and football fans could learn a lot of things from rugby fans
E. a.
Great atmosphere for the rugby you cant beat it but over priced drinks but just what to expect from a stadium
A. H.
An excellent stadium in the leafy suburbs of Roseburn in the West end of Edinburgh.
However fans report extortionate prices for for food and soft drinks.
Poor internal stewarding allows fans to stand and congregate in the aisles thus disrupting the view of others. (See picture)
The exit way from the North Stand is not wide enough. (See picture) Some of the large number of unused turnstiles could be removed to create a wider exit.
D. C.
Fantastic venue for both rugby and concerts. Catering facilities are great for a stadium of this size.
I. M.
Great atmosphere, esp when signing flower of Scotland. Need to sort the concession stands, queues always too long.
R. S.
What a stadium. The whole experience is excellent. Some of the queues can be a but long, but not as bad as Twickenham.
h.
Scotlands home of rugby grand old lady but the beer and food music tents make it better than your multi million pound stadiums
A. M.
Excellent venue with great pre and post match entertainment including live music, big screens to watch other matches, pop up bars and restaurants.
Highly recommended
E. V.
Fantastic stadium with a great atmosphere. You sit nice and close to the pitch. It’s easy to get to with plenty of means of transport. Decent pubs around for before and after the game. Drinks in the stadium are expensive and queues are normally long but this is expected at big events such as those held at Murrayfield. Love watching the rugby here. There is nothing quite like hearing Flower of Scotland being belted by 10,000s of Scots at Murrayfield!
S. C.
Had a great day out at the Rugby.
External vendors pricy for food and drink but no worse than other city events.
D. R.
Great experience, plenty of food & drink options inside t grounds, good atmosphere, DONT try screen shoting ur ticket, or u will get in trouble
S. H.
A great experience on the Murrayfield stadium tour, Roy our guide, for the tour was excellent, his knowledge of the trophies and the stadium itself was first class. We were allowed to see almost all of the facilities, except a few areas where meetings were already in place. A wonderful feeling being in the Scotland dressing room , the tunnel and walking out to the pitch with the music playing. Top marks to the Scottish Rugby Union and Roy.
J. M.
The stadium itself is great but the experience of getting there & away from it significantly less so. There is absolutely no indication of crowd management from the police or stadium staff nor any visible strategy from public transport providers (buses & trams) of how they are moving great quantities of people around. It was truly awful last night & it could be so much better.
A. H.
Last time dear Doddy attended before passing away. Great stadium. Great win for Scotland.
V. D.
Very well organised, always some one to assist. Couldn't we have some other local beers please.
J. S.
Brilliant experience to go to a live Scotland game. Great build up from the players being pipped in to the pre match lights show if you are lucky enough to see an evening game! Stalls always surrounding the stadium with plenty of the good old T available along with multiple food stalls.
M. S.
Great venue. So many sell outs in a row. Just need the team to perform now
T. S.
Brilliant stadium, great seats, fabulous atmosphere and an all round great experience
m. m.
Awesome place. Even from the top rim, you can see pretty well the game.
A. P.
Simply amazing. The stadium is extraordinary, lots of crowd and eating options...
E. B.
Great venue. Been here for rugby today and been to other events in the past
S. N.
This was my first ever visit to Murrayfield, it has been on my bucket list for ages and it didn't disappoint, I had a great time! The staff there are so helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was amazing and Scotland won, what more can you ask for! It was my mum and sister's first time there too and we all enjoyed ourselves so much that we've just bought tickets for the first Six Nations game, Scotland v Italy! Can't wait!!
K. W.
Went to see The Eagles in concert, it was fantastic. The stadium was well run with plenty of food and drink vendors. Really could do with more female toilets. Just a suggestion.
P. G.
Stadium is great, although the facilities for food & drink aren't upto much having to go back outside the stadium for these. In my opinion these should be inside the ground. It was dry yesterday but if it was lashing with rain you'd be away out to get stuff and be coming back in drenched to watch the rest. Just doesn't make sense to me
I. A.
Great old stadium. In need of some tlc to bring it up to date. Some rusty seats etc date it.
S. R.
Great atmosphere, big stadium with general facilities. The event we were there for had plenty food trucks available if you were willing to wait in lengthy queues but there was 65,442 people in attendance so that's to be predicted. The couple of things that annoyed me was lack of changing facilities for kids had to walk quite far from our designated seats to get to one, Not great with a now uncomfortable toddler, and the lack of wifi available. Now I admit im not sure how plausible it is to have it for a crowd of that many people, however as it is a BT stadium you would think it would be in someway available even for a nominal charge. Toilets provided for female event goers were limited & the toliets themselves are in need of updating but we still had a great day & the sun came out as we watched our much loved football heros play the beautiful game.
A. V.
Always a enjoyable trip to Murray field. Except for 2 young woman who treated as a opportunity to talk for 2 hrs
M. G.
Amazing atmosphere watching Scotland vs South Africa
D. B.
Easy to get to from the city centre and seating is well planned to give clear view of the pitch
R. M.
Took my son to see scotland nearly beat the all blacks great view and well entertained
S. W.
Really interesting tour, friendly staff and a definate must do if you love rugby. Highly recomended
P. L.
Great stadium, brilliant seat, three rows from the front.
The Eagles were amazing - what a show.
Joe Walsh, mad as ever.
G. C.
Went for a Christmas night out at Murryfield where they hold Glitterfest! Food was ok and drinks are expensive but great atmosphere. Local Radio DJ Boogie was there and they have an mechanical bull to ride. Would recommend for a Christmas works night out. Open till 2 am
I. E.
Brilliant experience and very well put together pre-match show view was great and easy to get to parking made the whole day a fantastic experience. Well done to all involved.
R. G.
Behind the scene tour, exceptionally well explained. Bill McLaren's memory immortalised in the grounds, he done so much representing Scottish Rugby.
K. J.
Great place to check out a rugby match. Crowds are massive on game day, just follow the flow. There's the tram which will drop you off right at the stadium, but just be aware that due to the crowd size that you'll be waiting quite a while to leave. The stadium had an awesome live band playing after the game, which was fun. Be warned this place is not heated anywhere, so bundle up. Also food is ridiculously overpriced and the lineups take forever. Overall excellent facility, safe, nice crowd and fun rugby!
H. N.
I do love a trip to Murryfield, the views are excellent and there is always a brilliant atmosphere. It was never a difficult place to get to, but it is even easier now that the trams stop right outside. The facilties are good, hospitality is good and Edinburgh is always worth a visit. It does help when Scotland win too.
J. R.
Great atmosphere. Just wish the queues for the food and drink weren't so long.
S. M. E. U.
Did the Edinburgh mens 10k. First time I've ran 10k without any practice. Good end at the stadium
A. M. 1.
Was my 1st time here and wow what a day had the most amazing time watching Scotland v New Zealand and will defo be back
J. L.
Unbelievable atmosphere! #AsOne
Highly recommend the lower east stand but equally impressive views from upper east and west stands.
K. L.
It was amazing huge crowds but that's a stadium for you the security was rlly good and of course Scotland won!!
C. R.
When the Scots sing their national anthem at the top of their lungs inside the aradium, that's truly something special
M. J.
It's Murrayfield Stadium. Fantastic place when we are winning....
Always a good atmosphere, not to heavy on the pocket.
K. W.
The most amazing atmosphere compared to any other sporting venue I have been to. I visit here regularly for events such as the 6 nations, autumn tests and most recently the silver Saturday where Ross sutherland RFC won the bowl final!
G. C.
We attended the Liverpool v Napoli match at the end of July 2019.
A beautiful stadium and very clean too by far the cleanest stadium in Scotland and even the toilets were clean (at 55 mins).
Great facilities, amenities and the staff at the gates were very understanding regarding an allergy issue that I have, letting me take in my own bag with emergency food supplies.
Defo be back but next time for a Rugby match.
E. R.
Good atmosphere in stadium, good options for food and drink within grounds. Plenty of toilets, lots of steps if seated in the top of the upper section.
J. M.
At Murrayfield for the Kiltwalk rather than rugby. Can't fault the facilities, all very clean and well signposted.
S. F.
Fantastic game yesterday. Great facility
P. B.
Went here 22nd June saw the Eagles had a fantastic night stayed in a lovely B&B where we were able to get the tram line to the stadium 🏟 added a bit of nostalgia the B&B was really nice had good parking facilities let's just say you get what you pay for .Murryfield had great onsite vending machine's for ice cold beverages and it's all contactless .plenty of food vendors there also .a good place to view live music 🎶 🎵 👌
D. M.
Went to my 1st ever game! Scotland V Samoa great result Scotland winning 😊 amazing atmosphere lovely stadium great food! P. S wee rocked the Mexican wave that day! 🏉 …
d. h.
Great venue for Eagles gig, we laid out, sound superb, plenty food & drinks available around the concourse 👌 so all in all practically perfect. …
S. D.
Murrayfield has an atmosphere on game day that other stadiums in Scotland can't compete with simply must be visited by all
T. R. P.
Lucky enough to see Scotland (20) vs South Africa(26) during the Autumn Internationals with my Daughter. It was a near perfect match by Scotland, but just came up a wee bit short, not due to effort. Love to see many more matches at his beautiful stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland.
P. N.
Great day out to watch Scotland v Italy. Very clean and well organized. Good entertainment, lots of stalls amd helpful staff.
T. D.
Best stadium. Great atmosphere
W. R.
Another great day at BT Murrayfield, a win for Edinburgh was a bonus. The only down side was the most disgusting hot chocolate I've ever tasted. Thankfully the Tenants boy had plenty beer to kill the taste.😀 …
G. O.
Visited for rugby match. Got there early as suggested and had COVID credentials checked before entering. Entrance was easy and straightforward. Plenty of different eating vendors. Seats were terrific though a little cramped. Had to climb a number of levels to access the seats. Seats had a terrific view of the pitch. Exiting the ground following the game was straightforward.
K. W.
Great show by MACRO for the opening of Edinburgh Festival.
E. C.
Only there for rugby games. Brilliant atmosphere.
G. R.
Attended a model show as part of a club display. Plenty of parking and very helpful and friendly staff.
B. S.
Great for rugby beer prices are on the higher side but who cares
C. W.
Decent facility was a little surprised it wasn't bigger... toilets were great though!
J. D.
Need more ladies toilets, so many more females going to games now.
M. A.
The electrifying atmosphere throughout the match. Scotland Vs New Zealand
w. Q.
Murrayfield Carnival would best describe the atmosphere as small and large groups of people / nationalities, in gorgeous wears and styles and costumes mill towards the stadium for the Scotland v France Six-Nations Rugby match.
It's worth planning ahead, with family and friends or work colleagues, to be back there for such future events.
G. S.
We performed here at part of Unison Entertainment Group for the Scotland vs France 6 nations game and the atmosphere was electric! Such a great venue to perform at, easy to get to and great parking.
P. D.
Exceptionally well organised. We were here for the Scotland visit Australia game. The crowd control was terrific, everything was well thought out from the placement of the vendors, to the general space for waiting. Plenty of places to grab something to eat before the game, as well as plenty of reasonably priced merchandise. Can't rate it highly enough, it was a terrific day out.
W. V.
What a memorable experience. Love the scots. And the springboks won, so that was great
S. D.
fantastic venue not just for rugby but concerts also plenty food places and drink places
A. L.
Amazing day at the rugby.
J. L.
First time visiting Murray field Stadium, went to watch our Grand daughter play for the under 16 youth Cup! It was a great experience, staff very helpful. Would recommend going.
C. M. V.
Great atmosphere on match days. Ladies facilities are very poor and need bringing up to date, but thankfully there are plenty of clean and tidy portaloos outside. Turnstiles also need bringing up to date and made bigger. All that said, I love the home of Scottish Rugby #AsOne
R. F.
Great atmosphere, lots of facilities, didn't have to queue much for food and drinks, and rugby was great too!
A. B.
Never been to a rugby match but
Great stadium for concerts tho they set it up the stage in a Great position
D. P.
Awesome day out today. Scotland endeavoured to keep it competitive and came out with a worthy win. Our Scottish contingent loved it. To top it off they put the England v S Africa game on and raised the volume for Swing Low as they outclassed the world champions. Murrayfield... Second best rugby stadium in the world 👍👍 …
D. J.
Visited to attend the Scotland visit Japan autumn International.
My very first time at Murray field and also watching a rugby union match live. Fantastic atmosphere at a full to capacity stadium.
A very special time experienced when the crowd all joined in when the Flower of Scotland was played by the pipe band. Plan to return hopefully next year.
N. S.
Fantastic stadium, incredible atmosphere every time.
G. G.
Fantastic atmosphere, great venue with plenty stalls
J. B.
Been to this stadium numerous times, never a bad experience, you’ll have a good view from wherever you are sitting and enjoy the Scottish rugby atmosphere. Get booking early for the six nation games on the Scottish rugby website.
L. G.
Great place to go watch the rugby. Always lots to do before the game and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Can be a bit annoying trying to leave when its sold out but that is to be expected. Service for food and drink is very quick considering the number of people attending. Only downside is the lack of female toliets. I would say that around a 3rd of the rugby fan attending are female but only have about an 8th of the toliets that the men do. Means you end up waiting in a queue longer than the half time break and have to miss the rugby!! Meanwhile the mens toliets are pretty much empty and you could just walk right in and not wait at all.
K. D.
Went to watch Scotland play South Africa. Always a good atmosphere, plenty to do before the match and loads to choose from food and drink wise.
B. B.
Enjoyed the opening event of the Edinburgh Festival in Murrayfield. Great stadium.
D. A.
Great facilities, lots of food and drinks kiosks, fantastic atmosphere. Love this place
N. M.
Excellent stadium just a quick tram ride from the centre of town. Clean, well organised, with facilities for the lassies that are easy enough to find!
S. R.
Great day out, atmosphere so emotional loved it
M. O.
Grand day out, had the kids and would fully recommend for a family day out. 10 of 10 would visit again.
F. E.
Great stadum, could still do with improving the ladies toilets
C. A.
Amazing stadium, lots of beer for drinkers.
R. M.
Not much leg room at the seats but still a great stadium, tannoy system could be better.never understood a wors
N. B.
Went to see the Eagles. Well staffed, tidy, good signposting, excellent traffic control. Toilets horrid but hey, there were 60,000 people.
M. S.
The home of Scottish rugby. Always a good atmosphere with the crowd mixed. Alcoholic drinks also available.
S. L.
Great day out watching Scotland win. Despite being prepared for the cold and rain, what we really needed yesterday was sunglasses - typical Scottish weather. COVID checks were easy if you had the app and use of digital tickets made entry simple. Great family atmosphere inside and everyone enjoying the return of the autumn series. Be prepared to remortgage if you buy any food or drink in the arena.
K. G.
Standard sporting stadium. Can be tough to find your seats if you're not used to the layout, so go looking early on. The food stalls are good, but not cheap. Bring a sandwich.
T. S.
The best access of any stadium we have been to for a concert.
Fantastic friendly, helpful staff.
D. M.
Well organized and welcoming. Plenty of choice of food.
M. G.
Within easy reach of the city centre. Having visited from London it was refreshingly easy to access via turnstiles and then access a particular part of the ground. Plenty of food and drink outlets. Plenty of toilet facilities. At the end of the game is was simple and quick to exit.
C. D.
Great day great event so well organised
R. G.
Great stadium with a great atmosphere, lots of fun and good food can be found here, and it's always good to see ireland beat Scotland 😂 …
A. U.
It's the fans that make it! Food carts were all roughly what you'd expect
c. j. r.
Home of the National rugby team of Scotland, we have had some wonderful days here.
But it is a busy stadium so be prepared to deal with crowds.
When at full capacity the stadium holds just over 67'000 people.
My tips for getting around especially if you have young kids or elderly in your group would be to arrive early and find your seats early, theres always a rush of people going in nearer kick-off time.
When the game is over hold back the volume of people trying to leave the stadium produces large sections of bottle necks in the main stand areas and at loos and be prepared to queue as the female loos are always busy post match.
Food and Drink stands are expensive ( but that's par for the course at major events) and some can be a bit lacking in the portion size, but there is a good selection, again have a good look around and see what's on offer.
Entertainment before the game is pretty good head to the west side of the stadium if you have kids for the best on offer.
There is usually big screens showing other matches prior to pr after the Scotland game, these are pretty good quality picture and are always a good congregation point.
Always good live bands as well along with a good traditional pipe band.
How to get there, well that all depends if your stating in Edinburgh or travelling there and back on the day. Trains can be very busy as can the trams, but if your drinking that's your best options. Car is usually not a problem for getting g parked but with the nature of the stadium location and the roads that lead you in to the stadium area also being part of a main route to the city centre, give your journey time an extra hour. I have seen us arrive in our seats just in time for the anthems when we have had traffic queues coming to the Queensferry bridge.
One final bit of advise have a look at pictures on fan social media pages and try and get a feel for what sort of seat you would like, seats near the front can be more exposed to the elements but obviously get a great view of the game, but risk the wind and the rain. Seats near the centre line have the best views but obviously come at a premium.
M.
From outside doesn’t look very nice but obviously inside the atmosphere is amazing
L. S.
Great atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful, well organised
M. P.
Just cannot beat the fantastic atmosphere here.
C. N.
Great venue, clean with a Fantastic atmosphere
L. O.
Long queues. Waited 25 minutes to be served a drink in the Up and Under. Left without being served and got a drink outside. Disappointed!!!
Stadium is clean and well maintained. Looked lovely under the lights.
S. L.
Excellent stadium, easy access via the trams from the town centre. Three for and drinks stands are very busy though, so budget plenty of time of you want something before the game starts.
B. G.
Excellent venue for The Eagles concert on Wednesday. Facilities were plentiful and of a high standard too.
I. “. G.
Robbie concert in full flow with erasure in support, access and exit were well organised, loads of toilets and plenty of beer outlets, what more could a fellow desire
R. G.
Amazing. Can't wait to be inside for the rugby this weekend
i. m.
The stewards were brilliant, well organised, great view, but sold only Tenants lager
F. R.
Excellent stadium. Great atmosphere.
R. S.
First time here for a game and the atmosphere, helped by the French and a victory was priceless
R. T.
Fantastic night seeing the Eagles in concert stadium was very good great seats and only bad point was the cost of food fish and chips x2 £20 and fish was frozen type really poor
m. s.
Great place when Scotland wins but not only! Great atmosphere, well worth attending a game.
C. G.
Brilliant Stadium. Great Staff. Security Were Excellent
K. C.
Incredible atmosphere, and a Scotland win over Argentina ❤
P. M.
Brilliant place to work and enjoy a great atmosphere with all fans
K. W.
Well organised all round but could have done with more merchandise outlets. Nice toilets!!! Eagles were outstanding!!!!
M. R.
Fantastic stadium, the stewards and all the staff where brilliant and informative. This was the first time I have been here as this was Scotland V Australia. The only thing I will say about it is that confused a lot of people was, all the even numbered sections are on the 2nd level and all the odd numbered sections are on the lower levels. There was a big que for the lassies toilets on the West stand so I would recommend more cubicles to be added if possible
A. T.
The power in this place is palpable. I took my English wife here for Scotland Vs Australia by the end of the game she was as blue as anyone else in that stadium.
I'd you're ever worried about marrying someone from outside our beautiful homeland, then take them here and by the time the last words of the anthem have finished they'll be a true child of Scotland!
K. H.
Great stadium the Eagles were brilliant.
Only when there's rugby on can it get better.
f. c.
Went to Glitterfest 2017. Friendly staff, great service, food was very nice, including vegetarian option. Perfect portion sizes for us.
A. L.
Greatest Stadium in Rugby enough said 🏴 …
I. C.
Had a great time would recommend
R. A.
Lacking some of the charms of a modern stadium... Perhaps 'last of the old school!'
A. M.
Great atmosphere, well run and great rugby played, unfortunately today it was by France.
D. I.
Its a bit dated and getting into the venue is like getting into a low league football ground. But once in the ground its adequate although not very big compared to most international stadiums.
J. R.
Great stadium got all amenities. Good atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Train station across the road from it.had a good day out there.
N. J.
Great atmosphere, good viewing.
K. M.
Spiritual home of Scotland international rugby. Not really a lot to say as it is what it is, an old stadium. Its always over crowded at the front and could do with more more choice/a few more drink stands. The queues for the food stalls need organised ar the front of the stadium as they cause chaos on a busy day.
P. W.
Outstanding stadium fantastic crowd involvement defo 11/10
b. t.
Easy movement of spectators and plenty of facilities. Comfortable seats with unobstructed views of on pitch action.
g. n.
We won! Nuff said....
P. H.
Pretty amazing stadium. Scotland has been wicked place. Friendly people everywhere. Highly recommended place to visit - Edinburgh esp Murrayfield Stadium.
T. W. F.
The home of Scottish Rugby, what more do you need to know 🏉 …
I. B.
So much pain and disappointment but, like heroin, ya keep going back for more.
G. P.
A dream came through...you have to be there to feel ... once in your life
D. C.
Atmosphere at the Calcutta Cup was incredible. Both sets of fans were very respectful before and after the match. Facilities are really well set out.
p. g.
It was very cold that day. Experience of a life time
T. B.
Shame about the jobsworths acting as security and preventing people from congratulating their loved ones.
L. B.
Out standing game first one ever Scotland where amazing
C. N.
Great stadium, fantastic atmosphere, would only go for international games been to see edinbrough here and the matches lack atmosphere.
A. f.
Had lots of fun and Friendly and helpful staff
A. L. C.
Not bad but it is fundamentally a football stadium, not a rugby one. Expensive and doubtful value for money, many traditional supporters stay away and have a party at home.
D. B.
Even as an English rugby fan, the experience was fantastic. My one whing would be the cost of the beer, 5.70 for a single can of warm Tennent's lager is a but expensive.
A. H.
Helpful officials and a great Guinness bar!
L. A.
Great atmosphere. Fantastic grounds.
A. D.
Fantastic stadium for the home of Scottish rugby, but good lord they need to sort the pints out. Bars closing at half time for the lions test is an absolute joke and we need justice. Viva la revolution 👊 …
S.
Excellent venue for concerts and rugby matches 👍👍👍 …
R. R.
Very nice stadium, with many amenities and lots of places to buy drinks. Seats are comfortable and you can see the field very well.
L. P.
Great national stadium very years of history. Great transport links thanks to regular buses and trams serving the stadium with a national rail station (Haymarket) just a short walk away.
S. 5.
Great stadium, good atmosphere, even better in sunshine & when result goes one's way!
E. B.
They've fixed the playing surface! Great match day experience.
Fantastic at the entertainment. The bagpipes and flame torches, the half time entertainment and the great crowds.
The catering and bars are ample and luckily there are plenty of toilets so hardly any queue.
Always better to sit higher up if you want to avoid the weather and plan your exit strategy so you don't get caught in the crowds.
C. S.
Enjoyed the eagles concert. The only problem was the seats. There's not enough leg room
G. T.
What an atmosphere! Great place and lovely people, however, we have found in the last 2 games the stewards had no idea where our seats were and sent us to the wrong ones (and we weren't the only ones)
T. K.
Great day out , tram stop just outside so easy to get to. But need to be easy to avoid crowds. Plenty food and drinks trucks around on Match days
R. M.
Amazing venue with a brilliant atmosphere and the matches rarely disappoint. Highly recommend going to the Autumn Internationals, Six Nations and Edinburgh matches. The latter has a far smaller attendance but you can stand pitchside which is a different experience to the International games and the standard of rugby is very good.
L. G.
This Magnificent Football Stadium BT Murrayfield In Edinburgh In Scotland Is Bigger Than The Royal Albert Hall In London. X
S. T.
High quality multi-sports stadium [principally rugby union] Bar is great space for functions. Easily accessible from Edinburgh Trams Murrayfield Stadium station.
P. T.
We went to see a concert and performance and felt safe.
J. G.
Great experience!! The stadium has fantastic access all around and is today and will presented! The transport links to and from the ground is brilliant! Trams running every two minutes and buses very similar. Edinburgh city centre is only a 20-30 minute walk away making after match dinner and drinks a tempting way to finish an enthralling game of rugby, no mastery who plays or wins!!!
Y. S.
Went there to see spice girls. Vast stadium with great transport links thanks to the tram and park and ride facilities. Very easy and fast from parking to getting on the tram to stadium as it has it's own station dedicated to it. Compared to many other concert venues I have been to this has to be one of the cheapest fastest and easiest to get to.
A. A.
Excellent time. So many people ,but so well organised and marshalled, it bever felt intimidating. Great view if the match too. Go Scotland.
D. D.
Food outlets very expensive, otherwise a fantastic day
S. P.
Very good went to see Glasgow vs Edinburgh good staff and good refs
a. f.
Great place loved for rugby
I. B.
Can't beat hearing the crowd sing flower of Scotland. Majority of seats also seem to have really good views. Being a lifelong Scotland Rugby fan, I loved the spontaneous singing of Loch Lomond. The festive atmosphere before kick off is thoroughly enjoyable, with lots to see and do, especially for families
L. N.
Great atmosphere super stadium
B. B. H.
Murrayfield stadium is always a great place to go, especially when Scotland beat the auld enemy and retain the Calcutta cup. What a great day.
D. H.
Amazing stadium clean
G. L.
Great place if you are taking in many sports including rugby. There are plenty of places to eat during games conference suites to hire and also the I've rink right next door. I have been a few times and will always come back to the home of Scottish Rugby, the staff is well nice and friendly. This arena also holds concerts on occasions and is well suited to these also.
D. B.
Great venue and well organised. One way signing would have been helpful if you wanted us to use it, rather than turn us away after we got so far
B. X.
Wonderful place, shame about the result but hey.
T. F.
A dream came true when I arrived here! A rugby temple.
C. R.
Great view and atmosphere, not to mention haggis and neeps
S. M.
Visited for the rolling stones concert. Easy access with excellent signage for seating locations. Plenty of toilets, food & drink areas. Good ratio of staff to visitors, all clearly identified in yellow vests making it very easy to get help/information should you need it. Good sized area for wheel chair attendees with great view of the stage & screens for all. Great venue for rugby matches & concerts alike with great transport links to get to/from the venue.
B. D.
Great stadium with excellent access for all including disabled. Fabulous supporters bar with live music and celeb players question time before the matches. Only down side are the price charged for food and drink which are extortionate to say the least, but there are fine deals to be had in the Macron shops dotted around the ground. Finally, you can get a tram from anywhere in the city and as far as the airport direct to the ground which makes it easy if your arriving at the two main railway stations.
A. N.
Fantastic home crowd. Best atmosphere. Young kid friendly. Saw my first rugby game here when I was about 10! Ticket prices are usually acceptable, but it depends. It's well worth the experience of going to a match though.
S. C.
Safety procedures in place. Good food and drink. Store open to buy merchandise
Good atmosphere against Australia and a full crowd.
M. G.
Good place if you like bagpipes
D. B.
Nice stadium, great atmosphere. Within walking distance from city centre.
B. M.
Best day in a long time fantastic and SCOTLAND beat the French
C. R.
Home of Scottish rugby. Amazing atmosphere, lots to eat and drink, games well organised.
C. W.
Wonderful atmosphere in and out of stadium with music, food and great events most recently six nations.
T. D.
Great stadium
S. S.
Ladies toilets are a disgrace, between choked toilets, no soap and cold water. And now we can't bring handbags in we can't get hand sanitiser in or handwipes, cos we have to carry purses glasses and phones in our pockets, 😏 …
S. M.
Great place for the home of Scottish Rugby. If only football crowds were the same everyone would leave happy. Staff helpful, lots and lots of toilets so not waiting too long for the amount of people there are. Well covered but nice and open at same time. Brilliant atmosphere, hope to be back soon.
N. B.
Visited for the Scotland v South Africa autumn international. Packed stadium but well marshalled. Great atmosphere as always.
J. W.
Great stadium with easy access via travel on foot or by transport. Great train and bus service locally and a decent sized car park with more than enough spaces.. great pitch and the prices aint too bad for the half time snacks whether you're watch International Rugby or the odd game of football held here! Comes fully to life during Scotland rugby matches, highly recommend that
S. M.
Fantastic stadium, loved the under 16s Scottish cup final, would highly recommend!!
A. C.
Great venue and people involved
P. R.
Visited for the first time for the rugby. Great experience. As at most venues the ladies toilets were constantly queued out, to the extent that some girls and ladies were going into the gents. Maybe they had misread the signs saying "Lads" or maybe they were just desperate! Stewards were very helpful. Keen to go again....
Back again on 26/02. Two small coffees and 5 small dough rings - £16.00! Really?
L.
Great match - but quite small seats!
J. F.
Beautiful stadium I love it. I don't know much about Rugby as i am a football loving person was a coach as well my friend took me there for a match long time back but now it seems i like to to know more about Rugby so that 's it.
L. c.
Incredible place cant wait to go back
COME ON SCOTLAND
I. O.
Nice place to be
L. P.
Great stadium, i would reccomend (if you go to a game) you don't sit in the east stand if its sunny, or anywhere too close to the front if it is pelting down with rain. However, make sure you are there in plenty of time, so you don't miss Flower of Scotland. About 99% of Scotland games are sellouts.
D. H.
Great facilities; Great atmosphere; Great game
D. M.
Great atmosphere even @ reduced capacity. parking is a night mare in Edinburgh, next time park & ride would be a good alliterative from the airport possibly
G. D.
Scotland Vs New Zealand. What a game what an experience 💪🏻 …
J. D.
Was down here for the League Cup semi-final against Hearts, fantastic experience, everything is well laid out, seats are easy to find, toilets are clean and tidy and well sign posted. There are plenty of food stalls catering for a range of different tastes. A brilliant day had by all.
W. D. S.
Great autumn tests and 6 nations despite the results. Some fantastic times and memories with the family roll on august
H.
Great place to watch rugby.
P. C.
Great place for tours and family outings. World class rugby is played annually and displays an extremely family-friendly community of fans. Highly recommend as even adults can get a drink when a game is on.
J. S.
Great stadium, good access and public transport links.
D. H.
They work hard to give a great experience and mostly succeed- only let down by the abysmal standard of the catering franchises. Apart from the pizza wagon the rest are overpriced and inedible
T. R.
My first visit, what a great stadium!
P. M.
Had a great time watching the rugby
A. R.
Was always a good day out but it's a bit crazy now Scotland are popular again. They added so many female toilets but nothing additional for men. The bottle bars close at half time, this isn't long enough. Supply is always an issue - but all these points are for rugby.
Generally it's an easy venue.
S. D.
Good venue for a conference. Parking easy. Long thin room but with enough extra screens for everyone to see presentation. Not many ladies toilets so queues at ever break. Catering a bit hit and miss with very little variety.
J. S.
Saw the Eagles. Good event plenty staff around for any instance
T. M.
Saw spice girls here... amazing!
N. W.
Wow what an atmosphere. Visited for the rugby 6 nations. England v Scotland. England won Hooray!!! Easy access. Lots if entrance gates, no queueing.A Good range of food stalls in the fan zone. No Decaf coffee though or soya milk. Beer stalls only in the fans zone, none in the stadium and queues moved quickly Ladies as usual long queues for the loo. A Great experience recommend visiting.
A. M.
The holy grail of rugby stadiums for me.got to love the Scotish
S. M.
Awesome stadium.
I've been here many times to watch Scotland play over the years and was given a tour for Christmas. Top notch stadium and one of the most technologically advanced playing surfaces in Europe.
Tour was awesome, watching Scotland win was even more awesome.
s. K.
The atmosphere here was amazing and to hear the Scottish anthem live was something else. The wind blows in the stadium so if going on a cold day wrap up warm. Also if going and it says no bags larger than A5 they mean it or it is a £10.00 charge for secure storage so be warned.
L. G.
Great atmosphere, super friendly and my group were English too! ( Well done Scotland) Great game.
J. S.
We sat in the top tier of the east stand and had a great view. There are lots of stalls inside the stadium selling food and drink. Traffic is stopped on the main road after the match so it's a lovely walk into Edinburgh.
a. h.
WELL going up to Scotland is always a pleasure, like anywhere there is always good and Bad but more good on this day .
C. W.
Me and my family went to see Edinburgh take on Glasgow, and whilst the game was thoroughly enjoyable - Edinburgh annihilated Glasgow and decimated their defence - the seats we found ourselves in were not particularly pleasant. There was a horrid smell as we were sitting next to a large brick wall which had clearly not been washed before, and there was litter by our feet. If you are going to come see a Rugby match here (or any other event, for that matter) make sure to shell out the extra cash for nice seats in the middle of the center stand.
H. W.
Fantastic atmosphere, whether you are right beside the pitch in the East Stand or high up behind the posts in the North Stand, as long as Scotland are winning!
G. S.
Really enjoyed the tour of the stadium.
I went on a Wednesday morning and there were only 7 of us doing the tour, he said there were over 40 booked for the afternoon session. (so there's a wee tip for you)
Excellent guide (Roy Mack) who explained everything about the stadium very well, and the places where he takes you in the stadium are awesome, the amount of interesting facts he tells you are amazing.
Well worth the 5⭐️ rating.
t. c. (. I. H.
Great stadium for rugby, lots of good bars and food outlets on match day. £5 for a beer is a bit pricey but standard for a big venue. Not far to walk from Haymarket station bit also has a tram stop which can get very busy on match days.
J. H.
Great night watching Edinburgh vs Newport Dragons. Bit of a loose first half but very enjoyable. Final score a little flattering but the scouts I was with loved it. Great value community group tickets and we'll definitely be back.
A. D.
Fantastic atmosphere - I've been there 5 times now, always watching international rugby Scotland v Italy. Very organised and welcoming. Food and drinks however pricey and not great for cleanliness of toilets.
20 minutes (ish) walk from centre.
L. A.
Great place for rugby and as a Scotland season ticket holder and an Edinburgh fan I love going here. Only issue I have is the pricing. I thought it was fairly expensive 5 - 6 years ago but it's skyrocketed lately.
K. O. C. (.
Best sports stadium in Scotland by far. Makes Shamden look and feel like a midden! Have had some amazing times here. Really great setting for gigs also. The transport links are fantastic and the are feels really safe!
S. Y. (.
Great atmosphere friendly crowd and well controlled exit back into the city centre
C. C.
Dam Health stadium. Good toilets and good view of the pitch. Seats a bit narrow and not much leg room.
G. T.
The view of the pitch from most of the seating is really good but the stadium lets itself down with NO hot running water in the toilets, a major health and hygiene issue if there was ever there was one and a big discrepancy in the number of female to male toilets. More and more females are going to watch rugby but there aren't enough toilets for them compared to the male ratio.
G. W.
Love it, great to be back, especially taking the English scalp. A step back to normality, fantastic venue and atmosphere
T. M.
Nice venue for events. Easy to get to
J. B.
Wonderful atmosphere for the rugby
R. G.
Excellent experience today . Thanks for all and the team for taking time to sign autographs. Amazing customer service and staff so friendly especially since I left my match tickets in Aberdeen. The ticket team replaced them without any fuss. We'll done now over to the boys on the pitch tomorrow 😃🏉 …
W.
Did the Samh Stomp here, climbing 7200 steps. Madness. Legs were shredded. Lovely stadium though, however can't comment on what it's like on a game day.
R. G.
A bit of trek, but always worth a visit, especially during the 6 Nations. Great staff and easy access, departure after games! The atmosphere during a Scot v Wales rugby 6 nations is awesome!
r. b.
Great time and quick entry
D. B.
Access good on tram. Traditionally no parking.Toilet (can only speak for one I used)- No paper towels & only one hand dryer working, floors wet & slippery. Seats a bit cramped but out of rain under roof. Too many wanting out to buy beer/unload. Not a great national stadium.
S. M.
We had a great day out at the Scotland v Fiji match. Big crowd, great atmosphere clear unrestricted view, huge screens for playbacks and a beer or 2, even the toilets weren't so bad and a victory for Scotland
D.
Great for rugby good seat and nice structure easy to find and well located
I. G.
Fantastic atmosphere as always. Nearly ran the All Blacks into the ground that day! Good facilities and easy to get back into the city centre. Large crowds tend to disperse quite quickly and lots of options for parking if you don't mind a 5-10 walk.
M. A.
A great stadium. Not too vast, and all seats have a good view of the pitch. Seek out the stovies stall if you're peckish... good value for money on some fairly healthy Scottish fare!
R. H.
Great stadium to watch top class rugby
S. K.
Great atmosphere. It feels, crowds are mixed, but never a problem. Beer at 6-nations was £4.80 for a bottle (500ml I think). Burgers were expensive also. Take half an hour to leave after game (grab a beer or visit shop) to avoid the stampede out the gate.
M. M.
Love murrayfield, love the atmosphere in the stadium, and who wouldn't go here. This is the place to be for the rugby, shop is brilliant, even if I see it on the TV, like YouTube I love hearing flower is Scotland and am proud to say I was there singing it and will keep going back
D. “. E.
Great views from all over the ground. Easy to find seats. Trams can be very congested on big match days, queues at turnstiles tend to move fairly quickly. Toilets are good considering the traffic. Concession stands make for a dear day-out though.
T. G.
No pies. No padded seats. Nice view tho
L. M.
What an amazing and fantastic day/night out. Watching rugby, live, with all the atmosphere and especially the lights out show, is absolutely brilliant! Lots to eat, drink, live music, something for everyone, young and old!
F. F.
Went for a business event, which extremely busy so made the walkways feel like an overcrowded concert, you could hardly move!
Basic catering to buy from ie sandwiches, various hot & cold drinks. Not enough break out space to sit. Toilets clean. All in all good venue.
E. M.
Lovely stadium, although a rugby stadium I was their for a football game between the Edinburgh Hearts and the Glasgow Celtic. Celtic winning by three goals to nil.The stadium has over 67000 seats, which have no restricted viewing areas.A good point about Murrayfield is the amount of vans providing hot food and drinks.Summing up the stadium is first class venue for sporting or musical events.
R. S.
National Stadium used primarily for Rugby but it also hosts rock concerts. Easy to get to from either outside Edinburgh or the city centre, with a tram stop directly across the road. Food and drink on site. A good stadium.
F. S.
Great stadium. The atmosphere is always incredible.
M. T.
what a day great weather great seats and game. outside bar venues overpriced a can of tenants £5 and Crabbies £5.50 day light robbery
D. J.
Travelled from Wales to watch the match with an early mothers day present ticket had a fantastic time there made to feel really welcome and I'm definitely visiting again..
Walking to the stadium was breathtaking with young children playing the bagpipes it was unbelievable..
E. H.
Went to see the spice girls! Everything was perfect. Sound and view was amazing would definitely recommend if you would like to experience your favourite groups or artist and i would think it would be strongly recommend to go and watch the rugby or the football aswell.
F. S.
Superb stadium in the heart of Edinburgh
J. S.
Fantastic atmosphere. Good for food and drinks. Always easy to find your seats. If you haven't done so before, get yourself to a rugby game.
j. b.
Yet another fantastic result for Scottish Rugby , the Scottish team , Gregor and all his coaching staff. But I doubt if they were aware of the frustration suffered by some of their loyal fans on leaving the venue .
My grandson saved long and hard to buy 2 tickets as a special early Xmas present for his Mum. On arrival as they had a backpack larger than A5 they were told it would have to be deposited in some lorry parked at the side of the stadium . For this privilege they were charged the princely sum of £10 !! but in fairness they did get a ticket stub with a number on it . After the game they went to collect their b/pack to find hundreds of people with the same idea . Having queued for 2hours !!! they eventually got their b/pack. They had intended , as it was a special day out ,to head into town , have a meal and visit the Xmas market - no chance now . Train and home for a disappointed teenager and a furious mum .
Is this fiasco going to be the norm for the home games ? If so I hope someone is going to re-think the system for holding the baggage and the charge levied for same . £10 to have someone throw your bag on the back of a lorry - absolutely shocking !!!
D. M.
Brilliant trip if you ever get to go! Staff and security superb
J. P.
Scotland's largest and best appointed stadium. The views are uniformly good from all seats and the stadium staff and facilities are good. Very easy access from the City Centre which is close by. Good pubs near including the pick of the bunch - The Roseburn Bar.
M. D. P.
Amazing experience, I went to see the Spice Girls in June 2019 and it was great, the view was good even if we weren't close to the stage.
"Murrayfield Stadium (known as BT Murrayfield Stadium for sponsorship reasons, or popularly as Murrayfield) is a sports stadium located in the west end of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. Its all-seater capacity is 67,144 which makes it the largest stadium in Scotland and the fifth largest in the United Kingdom."
B. M.
Amazing atmosphere (especially if home win!). Womens toilets dreadful (huge queues and usually blocked by half time!). Food okay but big queues and quite expensive. Season pass holder and looking forward to 6 Nations
M. G.
Brilliant location for Rugby and events alike. Adore going to see Scotland play, but also when a particular shindig is held there. Clean, well organised and a fantastic Stadium to have on our doorstep.
I. S.
Went there for the stones concert. Getting in was tedious and the turnstile a little snug myself and many others struggled to get through them so unless you are stick thin you will also struggl. Once inside the facilities are really good and you won't go hungry or thirsty. there are plenty toilets so not many big queues. The seating area was ok for a stadium but once again designed for the stick thin.

Great stadium. But Ladies toilet provision is awful. They say they are working on it but really how long does it take! We ve been going there for years and they only seem to have realised that huge numbers of women go to rugby matches and also go to the toilet.

Great atmosphere. Safe, clean, and friendly for kids. Fan village is great. Far more male toilets than female however. I know there are way more men who attend, but we do piss much more quickly, so it seems disproportionate.

A fine evening for the rugby 🏉 …

Very good place for atmosphere

Fantastic venue for the Rolling Stones tour. Great evening. Tram transport perfect.

The new stadium on the back pitch is fantastic...just the right size for our regular support.
Looking forward to the new season

How do you think it feels after a 54-17 victory for Scotland v Fiji? Pretty damned good really!

Fantastic atmosphere every time we go.

Home of Scotish Rugby.
This is my castle. Great place for the family to visit.
If you love your sport come join us and support Scottish Rugby.
On international game days it's not just a 90 minute session, you are welcomed into BT Murrayfield to enjoy a whole range of activities, hours before and hours after, there are things for all ages.

It was already experienced. Even if you are not into rugby. We did the tour and the guide was so enthusiastic! Her love for the game and knowledge made it a great experience.

Fantastic venue to watch our national team play rugby

It's a great stadium, it's just a shame about how England play when they come here.

I have been to Murrayfield on a number of occasions now and sat in various spots around the stadium. I am yet to find a seat with a bad view. There are plenty of outlets for drinks and also a fair few selling food. Considering the stature of the stadium, prices are not too bad, but obviously a little more than you would expect to pay in town or outside the stadium. Security is generally well organised and speed of access is generally pretty quick. There is a tram that serves the stadium for the city centre and will take you between the two in little time.

Is very great ,and i like this stadium

Not the best performance from Scotland but referee should go back to rugby school and learn the actual rules of the game.

Always well organised, no issues bringing my wife and young kids, it's a different calibre being in the crowd and often fun. Fair play to SRFU .

Love being here on games days. Only BIG downfall was the parking on the grounds. Paid £25 for parking but had to sit in the Car for over 30 mins so the crowds could leave. Fine to a point but NO people were around, drivers were getting fed up just being held in their cars was really bad. I will never park there again as some of the stewards need training on how to have manners when shouting to people instead of talking nicely to people. Did cause a few people to get a bit loud and shout back at them and rightly so. I will still visit for rugby but after the attitudes of stewards and kept in car for over 30 mins for no reason and pay £25...I would rather buy a few beers for that price and less hassle !

Great atmosphete. Food stall food not good overpriced at £7 for a very dry pork roll. Better sticking to hotdogs/ chips. Overpriced alcoholic drinks. We used to take a backpack with soup and sandwiches but bags are not allowed now. For security i guess. Come on Murrayfield tickets are expensive enough without forcing customers to buy overpriced rubbish food and drinks.

I regularly attend murrayfield stadium and whilst it is a little dated and public facilities need upgrading staff are very helpful and will do anything to make your visit enjoyable ( but they can't influence the score). Always a variety of food even at Edinburgh games and well stocked bars. Onsite parking can be accessed but you must contact the stadium before and there may be a charge. A place everyone should visit if possible.

Was there for a concert good stadium.

How nice to watch a rugby game in a modern stadium. They still don't get the food and drinks stuff right, but the stadium itself is pretty nice and the atmosphere for a 6 Nations match is sensational.

Attended a wedding event. Plenty of free parking. Well organised. Easy to find. £2.50 for a coffee - happy to pay that. Sat nav took me straight to the venue no problem. Cannot fault the service, attendants or venue.

Home of Scottish Rugby, excellent stadium with modern facilities you would expect. Good transport access. I always drive to Corstorphine then bus into the stadium. Plenty drinks and fast food available on sale inside the stadium.

Absolutely love a weekend away to Edinburgh to watch the rugby especially when Scotland win

Always good. Atmosphere is always a bit lacking at cold winter evening games for Edonburgh. Will bemuch better when they get stadium out on back pitches. Murrayfield itself is a great stadium.

Great Atmosphere and friendly fan's. Great day out for all the family

I'm a chef contractor, have been working here for the Elior Scottish Rugby on events presented for Commonwealth Students Association etc. Easy to find the place, security is nice and helpful. The restaurants have great offers from 1-1200 persons catering.

Could have done with several sitting area for disabled people and children going to the match, such a long wait. Staff very attentive, polite and saw plenty of first aiders working their finger tips to the one. However very good overall.
J. S.
A true icon of world rugby! Huge yet welcoming, with good staff.
J. K.
Nothing beats the coming together of so many people
S. R.
A really brilliant rugby stadium (of course I am a little bias)
A wide selection of stuff to eat and drink. One slight gripe, the merchandise store is woefully inadequate - the queues are huge even when the stadium is half full.
J. A.
My first big international game the stadium, the staff and the fans were brilliant, so different from a football stadium.
M. F.
Home of Scottish Rugby, very busy on a match day, dedicated tram stop, but too busy on a match day. Club shop on site.

Great day out. Lots of female toilets, food and drink outlets. Alcohol overpriced as usual at events. Fantastic atmosphere, with live music. Seats have decent leg room.
S. Y.
Six Nations visit incredible atmosphere. All I can say is thanks to all the Scots who sang so proudly! Tear jerking. Loved it. What a place to watch England v Scotland.
A. K. J.
Magnificent sports stadium. Host many rugby and some football games. Scotlands 6 nations rugbt home ground. Some concerts have been played here as well. Easy to reach by buses or trams.

Went here for the Rolling Stones gig on the 9th June. The only lack of organisation seemed to be actually getting into the stadium. Trying to get so many people through the turnstiles led to huge queues and a long wait. Once inside the venue things got a lot easier, stands were well signposted and plenty of stewarding staff were available to provide assistance. There were a large variety of food retailers within the stadium, charging over the top prices, as you would expect. What really impressed me was that when the gig was over the organisation continued, with a long stretch (three quarters of a mile) of a main road (A8) being shut to traffic between Murrayfield and Haymarket train station. This coupled with the additional trains laid on gave the impression of a very well planned event.

For a modern stadium, the exits are a disgrace. We came out of the north stand today & it took us 12 minutes to get through 4 totally inadequate narrow gates. Fortunately the crowd was patient & in a good mood. Any incident causing the crowd at the back to push on would have resulted in a serious crush. It appears the narrow bridge taking you back to street is unable to cope properly with the volume for a big game. I won't be hurrying back!!

We went for several matches (Scotland/Edinburgh) and the atmosphere is always great. I particularly like big six nations match where you have the big tents, bars outside and the opening ceremonies. Love the Red Hot Chili Pipers!
If you are coming by bus to big rugby match and want to go home the same way, leave 5 mins before the end of the game. Otherwise you will have to walk to the city centre and then catch a bus.
D. F.
Largest venue in Scotland. Well organise and safe. Rolling Stones were great!
After a large match or concert, just follow the crowd and walk back into the City. It takes less than 20 minutes.
J. K.
Always a great atmosphere on international match days. Suffers a bit during Edinburgh games, simply by virtue of it being too large a venue for the size of the crowd that usually attends, leading to a slightly underwhelming atmosphere. The home of Scottish rugby.
