This place is EXACTLY the same as it was in 1994. Its a wonderful timewarp back to being 16. Yes the lanes sometimes crash and stop working, and the carpet is kinda sticky, and the building seems to now be in an apocalyptic wasteland, or a warzone, or something out of Stranger Things, but the people that work there are really lovely, and its genuinely a fun place to go. I took my son and his mates for his 13th, expecting them to be too modern and jaded and bored, but they absolutely loved it, the bowling, the arcade, playing pool, eating chips, jugs of coke. They just opened a new branch near me, which im thinking is going to be very new and swishy but will it be as good as Edge Lane? People that bar is set HIGH!

bowling is okay but the electrical games were not working fine or they lag some times In general it’s a good place to visit with your family or friends Don’t forget to present your student ID they do a student discount. Enjoy!

Very old and grubby. Toilets weren't very clean. Last building standing on a bit of wasteland. Could do with a massive overhaul. Had a couple of issues with the bumpers not going down. Very few staff, was waiting at the bar for a while. Kids enjoyed it though.

As good as I remembered as a child, fun for all ages .prices has gone up alot since I last came but that was along time ago and the toilets could do with some maintaining standards.

Was ok. The toilets stunk and were a mess, not good when there is kids around. Apart from that there were no other issues. The lane was ready on time, friendly staff and lots of arcade machines to play on.

It was okay we went as a family they have maximum 6 kgs bowl i thing they have to put some less weights for kids it was hard to handle 6 kgs cleaning was average i feel it was over priced

Booked the family party package which came as 2 games, a meal & drink each and winners trophy. We had 3 lanes and had a great evening, food was spot on 👌 And the kids cups and sweets where an added bonus as i didnt realise they got those. The winners Trophy was great, I expected a little plastic thing but this was much better, made it more fun presenting it😆

A blast from the past! Can't believe this place is still running, yes it's dated & old fashioned but I brought my son here today and had a great time. After going here loads when I was little myself it's hardly changed, staff were fine in my experience. My 4yr old enjoyed every second & that's the most important thing😁

It is an alright place. There are arcades by the entrance including Minecraft and Jurassic World themed. The lines are ok. It was nice and quiet in the morning, so feel free to come with kids.

Very dated, the whole place needs a complete refurb, should of used the money to update this one rather then open a brand new one in speke as that’s where il use in the future, but saying that my kids had a great time, staff was around if needed, helpful, friendly and all the arcade games was in use at my time of visiting.

Good little place for bowling and arcade, the parking is a bit of a mess that needs sorting out put there is plenty of space there. From the outside it looks like a real mess due to the old units being demolished but the inside is fine.

I just want to say a massive thank you to the superb staff at Hollywood Bowl Liverpool for a fantastic party for our daughter's 9th birthday this afternoon. We called in a few weeks earlier and booked the party at Reception. A big shout out to Selma, as even though there was a queue of people behind us, she was highly professional, answered all our questions and was so friendly and courteous. My husband called in shortly before the party and left a cake, balloons and some decorations. When we arrived, the party area was decorated just how we wanted it and our party host Becca was amazing with the kids, kept everything on time and went above and beyond to ensure everyone enjoyed themselves. One of my daughter's friends has Down's Syndrome and Selma kindly brought her some ear plugs to wear when she got a bit upset by the noise. The jugs of juice on the bowling lanes went down well with the kids and they enjoyed their food which was a choice of burger/veggie burger, hot dog or chicken nuggets and chips. A mixture of sweets was also on the table. I can highly recommend having a kids party here, many thanks again! ❤🎳🎉

Not sure how they think this old building is acceptable. The road up to the bowling venue is hidden behind construction areas. Once I finally found the road, it was blocked by a winnebago. The state of the road and car park are so run down, I had to double check I was at the right place. Upon arrival, per my photo, you can see that it's seen better days. Inside, it is ok-ish, but severely in need of a lick of paint and updating. Won't be going back in a hurry...

Nice place to come with kids... Bowling, snooker, and many other kids games are available.. Its no big... But comparitively a good one in and around Old Swan.

Although I love the old school feeling of this place and I have always had a great time whenever I've been, it's a shame some of the machines are not maintained and you often put your money in before realising something doesn't work. This time it was the Haunted game - only 1 pair of 3D glasses and broken triggers on one of the guns. And what's up with that very sad looking Cadbury one? 😅

Great night, played 3games,then into the arcade, we also had food here. The only issue is I am gluten free and the option I had was chips(which I just risked it as I was starving) however the staff were lovely esp the waitress/server on the food section. We had a great time and will be coming back

Went in for a few games on the basketball machines. Unfortunately the first machine I used had an issue, but one of the staff Jamie made sure the issue was handled quickly. Although I was only down £1 he handled the situation with utmost importance, great staff!

Really enjoyed our visit, they have new balls with patterns on them, and also a new bowling system which is easier to put side rails up and down yourself, even going as far as being able to put pictures up for the bowler. Unfortunately the lanes themselves look worn and also due to all the construction work out front, the venue doesn't look great. When using the arcade machines one of the racing machines pedals didnt work, and when using pool table the wrong amount of balls came out and no triangle to sort balls. Overall enjoyed the bowling, but there are a few things to improve

I took the family there for a birthday bowling and meal package. Service was great, a member of staff was there to look after our needs throughout. I forgot the name of the lady who sorted us out, but she was great! Food was great and my son was chuffed with the trophy 😁

I always go there, but some times, it will no tickets coming out because sometimes, it got stuck. Btw, it is a good place, the tickets can change any thing, like candy, toys, even headphones and light, if you have any questions, Plz ask me.

Bowling was pricy £30+ for two people two games. Balls where worn out with big gouges in them and the floor was ugly and worn out. Despite this we had a good time nice and friendly staff and more than just bowling to do here.

This place has got so much potential especially since there are no other Bowling Allies in the area yet its pretty run down by todays standards. The cost of the Drinks at the bar is extortionate and we didn't even have anything Alcoholic so I suggest you take your own drinks if you fancy a play about 👍

I have been to Hollywood bowl alot over the past 20 years, but the edge lane branch is in a complete state of disrepair with bits of tape hiding holes in the wall the floor had ripped lino and the state of the tould were disgusting. The whole place smelt desperate with 3 staff members running the place if you can find them!!! Please refurbish if not just a little bit of tlc :)

Cheap in a Wednesday family of 4 2 games for £18 so can't complain. The cold drinks on draft have a weird dirty taste to them and they're always low or out of stock with bottled drinks Inc water. Bowling itself was fun and service was good.

It's ok. Place feels a bit dated. Recently went for a kids party. Was pretty chaotic, not enough ramps to go around. Didn't seem to be a system to get the right party food to the correct child.

Good place for kids birthday parties and affordable. We had our sons birthday party here today with about 20 kids they all had fun and the package was well priced. Sophie one of the staff members was excellent and really helpful thank you

Very little selection of balls, unable to get a new one from the racks (I assume covid) but made it very difficult as both me, my partner and another group on a different lane were both wrestling over 1 ball. Our lane was broken on the pin refresh so took several minutes between every roll. Arcade had lots of damaged machines and ticket machines were all defective, some giving out none at all despite winning.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Good atmosphere. Lanes and equipment are a bit dilapidated and pin machine periodically stopped working. Didn't stop us having fun though!

It was nice to see how they have updated the bowling allies with touch screens that work. Unfortunately the systems are still dated. The machines organising the pins sometimes glitch out leaving pins on the flow or just drop them as your playing. And the actuall lanes are not level meaning the bowling balls curve away unexpectedly. Also the food and drink are ridiculously overpriced for their quality. All in all though it is a good bowling experience.

Hasn't changed much over the years but still a decent little trip out. Located by a load of eateries on Edge lane, so nice to go for a scoff before or after bowling. Staff were really helpful as there was a couple of issues with the mechanics behind the scenes but sorted really quickly . Will go again.

Old style bowling alley, very nostalgic feeling (as in the place could do with a bit of an update). Very busy but what can you expect on a bank holiday weekend. Bowling was great, wide variety of balls etc to use. Staff were really nice and friendly. Food is your typical bowling alley food, nothing fancy or amazing but still good. Impressed with the selection the bar had, even stocking my favourite beer. All in all, would definitely go again but with some areas to improve on.

Good fun place, a bit secluded and looks a little tired. But actually not bad if you go in just to have a laugh. Worth a visit at least once if you want to try some bowling. DONT buy just bowling though!!! It's cheaper to buy the "1 bowl and 1drink" even if you don't want the drink... It's still cheaper!
