A fantastic week in a beautiful resort. The clay courts were new and lovely to play on. Learnt some useful tactics and played some great tennis. Made some really good new friends and enjoyed dining with the group trying out different restaurants around the resort and marina. The yoga and spa are also fantastic.

Overall an amazing holiday! From the very start the experience was amazing, effective and easy booking process and great communication. We felt like we were in safe hands the whole time. Amazing five star holiday. I went as a solo traveller and slightly hesitant, as I'm improver standard rather than a top notch tennis player, but I needn't have worried, It was a brilliant holiday (Paloma Orenda, Turkey), a fabulous bunch of people, with supportive coaches and a great sense of fun, everyone was welcoming to the lone travellers in the group, which made it feel very special. The coaching was excellent, my tennis improved immensely over the week and I went home happy and exhausted. Thank you Active Away, it won't be long before I book my next holiday with you.

Going on Active Away holidays is always a joy. The intense but fun tennis training plus relaxation in the hotel resorts, develops strong camaraderie and long term friendships. We have just returned from our first Active Away holiday and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. It was recommended to us by others at our tennis club but I was apprehensive, not feeling confident having only been playing for about 2 years. The course content is very well thought out and the drills relevant to the coaching points. Charlie (our host) was absolutely brilliant. I have recently returned from my fifth Active Away holiday, my fourth at the wonderful Sani Resort. As always we had a really fantastic time with a mix of tennis, sunbathing and socialising. Guy ran the week brilliantly with help from Roy, Finn and Cedric, and I learn something new every time. Time to start thinking about my next holiday!

This was my first adventure with Active Away and OMG, it was fantastic. Steve Davies and his team delivered a most ‘unique’ tennis experience that pleasantly surprised me and the 4 friends who I travelled with. The sessions are plentiful, varied and very educational for those looking to improve their standard of play. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player you will come back a better player and, in my opinion, a better sports person. We went to Dalaman and the resort is superb, the food excellent and it was all inclusive so no nasty surprises upon checkout. In between sessions there was plenty of time to chill by the pool with a cocktail or two. I will definately be going again next year. Steve, keep doing what you are doing as it obviously works, congratulations to all at Active Away.

This is my third Active Away holiday and each time it just gets better and better on all fronts. The Liberty Lykia hotel has had some attractive upgrades. Active Away’s coaching programme has become more interesting and even more varied and complete and this year the delivery of the coaching was excellent. It was great to see an even mix of male and female coaches as that better reflects the gender split amongst players. I have learned so much though Active Away and as ever, I cannot wait for my next trip.

We have just go back from our first active away holiday, after It was recommended by other members of our tennis club. We went to Liberty Lykia in Turkey, the whole experience was fantastic. Although the hotel resort was not somewhere we’d normally book is was lovely and the food although was buffet was amazingly tasty, I was in dessert heaven. The coaches were really lovely on and off the court. The night life was also good and we met amazing people. We enjoyed the experience so much we have booked on a uk clinic and will 100% do another active away holiday with friends we made and also friends from our own club.

Trip to Font de Sa Cala May 2022. The Active Away team holiday experience was fantastic. The pre holiday organisation was efficient and told you what needed to be done and when. The arrival and transfer process was smooth at Palma airport. The resort hotel was a beautiful location by the sea and had amazing clay courts. The best bit about the trip was the tennis coaching and organised social tennis. I learned so much new stuff with the new doubles programme. The team were professional, friendly and gelled well with the group. They made our stay a real treat and the masterclassses were a great innovation. The coaching is the main reason I would come back and do another holiday in the future. The hotel amenities were very good but the Wi-Fi was unpredictable. The coaching team recommended places to go to which were all excellent. Overall the trip was memorable and I would say if you like tennis it’s a no brainier. Just book.

This was our first Active Away tennis holiday and it certainly won’t be our last! We stayed at the Liberty Lykia in Turkey set in the most stunning location with excellent facilities, good food and friendly staff. I was slightly apprehensive about going on a tennis holiday at my level of tennis but Steve and his team have developed an excellent programme to cater for the various standards of players. The mornings were spent working on specific areas of the doubles game and after having the middle of the day to relax by the pool or on the beach, in the late afternoon we got a chance to play and put into practice what we’d learnt. It was great having the opportunity to play with other players of all levels. The whole coaching team of Steve, Alex, Ria, Sophie, Dan, Paul and Ollie were professional, kind, motivating and fun. At the end of the week we were treated to an exhibition match by the coaches, all I can say about that is AWESOME! Aside from the tennis we were looked after the whole time, from start to finish everything was well organised and any queries we had were quickly answered. We got to meet loads of lovely people all of whom made it a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We will definitely be booking many more trips with Active Away. Thank you Steve and team.

If you're after a Tennis Holiday, there's no better than Active Away. Their fully hosted set up means that you're part of a group from the outset, so whether you're on your own or with your partner or friends, it really adds to the experience. I've visited three of their resorts and all of them are fabulous in their own way. The main difference with Active Away is that the coaching is meaningful. The coaches really care about improving your game and aren't just there to doss; Whatever your level, you'll come away a better player and have a great time to boot.

I’m just back from my first holiday with Active Away - tennis in Corfu. The holiday was recommended by a friend of mine, who was going on it with her mum for the last 14 years. I’m currently single, 37 years old, I love tennis but also some alone time, reading a book on a beach. I wanted luxury holiday that will make me forget the stress of this year. I got much more than that! While we did play tennis quite a bit (9:30am - 11:30am and again 4:30pm - 6:30pm), we had afternoons for ourselves - for resting at the beach or at the pool. Because I chose an all-inclusive location, the group ate together and bond together very well in just over one week. The credit for that goes to the Active Way team who made sure that there is enough banter and interaction between members of the group. You could see that their main goal was to make everyone feel inclusive and have some fun! They encouraged connection and introductions by pairing you up in different doubles games and by sitting at the breakfast/lunch/dinner tables during meals and facilitating the discussion, until you relax and join in. I can see how you can get hooked on these little breaks. Everything was 5 star - company, tennis (daily tennis practice + games), resort, staff at the hotel, facilities... it was just a dream and a fabulous place to recharge your batteries. Cannot recommend them enough.

For a group of young chaps (mostly!), they showed huge maturity managing a bunch of varied standards and personalities. The resort was very comfortable, a huge choice of good food, and staff very friendly, with entertainment every night if you wanted. What an extraordinary and inimitable experience this was. As a former coach and keen tennis player who had never done anything like this before, I did not know what to expect. The whole experience was utterly incredible and completely world class. The quality of the coaching was superb and the way they managed all of us, kept us all happy, ensured we all had things to do at various times, should we want to, was unrivalled. By the end of the holiday, the coaches and the guests felt not only like friends but family! The hotel clearly adores the Active Away team and as such you get treated very well because of the excellent relationships Active Away clearly cultivates with its hotels. The value for money is incredible. In one week | played 30 hours of tennis, had various one on one sessions, enjoyed an Active Away quiz night, went on a boat trip and much more. It is no wonder the business has enjoyed so much success since its inception in 2006 and I wish them much much more (post Covid!). What an amazing holiday! A small group of players from our tennis club went along to Lyttos Beach for our first Active Away holiday, not quite knowing what to expect, but we were made to feel so welcome and involved. The coaching team were a perfect mix of professional and sociable. What a friendly, approachable bunch of guys! You could really tell that it meant a lot to them that you enjoyed yourself, they seemed to bring the best out in all the holiday goers, which created a real feel-good mood for the entire week and I came away from it feeling like I had taken so much from it as a tennis player too. Our host, Josh, was fantastic; clearly a VERY good tennis player and coach, but so humble and down to Earth with it too. He was great at talking to large groups and made it feel like you were never under pressure to do anything on the itinerary, but it was so well put together and so much fun that you'd always want to and it felt like he would be happy to go out of his way to make your holiday that extra bit better for you if he could. The resort itself was really lovely. Beautiful setting, loads of courts of different surfaces. The food was really great (especially for an all inclusive set-up) and the drinks were plentiful! I thought it was great value for money, given the quality of the coaching and facilities and for how enjoyable the whole experience was. My only hope is that our next one will be this good, because it's certainly going to be hard to top!

There is only one downside to an ActiveAway holiday and that is you have to come home again! Just returned from my third solo holiday with them and pausing to write this review while I look to book the next. ActiveAway's real differentiator is that they look after you with a personal touch all the way, from ensuring you are fully prepared to travel, integrated into the group, receive coaching tips to improve your personal enjoyment of the game, sharing the aprés-tennis, facilitating outside activities and just being there with the objective of making it as stress free and fun as possible. I always leave with more shared experiences with a new set of friends.

I've just returned from a great trip with Active Away to Sani Beach resort in Greece. The coaching from Matt, Josh and the team was first class and playing tennis with a great bunch of people was tremendous fun. 2020 has been a tough year and the one thing I had to look forward to was my Active Away 3rd holiday to Crete. Sadly, with the quarantine restrictions, I decided to switch to Turkey (Liberty Lykia Hotel) and Active Away made this so easy. When Turkey went on the list at the last minute, the support I got from Matt Allen was fantastic, with options to go, defer or get a refund. I took the chance and went and I was so glad I did... there is nothing like getting away to a beautiful resort to play a sport you love, with top class coaching and an amazing group of people. Every day was a different kind of fun, whether that was learning different doubles tactics, or playing tournaments and social matches in the afternoon. My day off included a paragliding experience which was an incredible adrenalin rush. What makes these holidays so special are the people. The coaches are with you all day pretty much and are so talented as well as just lovely. I felt completely looked after, every coach knows you individually and genuinely cares. I also had private lessons which were very worthwhile and I learnt something different to my coaching back home. But our group of 24 was fantastic, playing a high standard of tennis but also loads of fun off court. We appreciated this holiday all the more because of the times we are in. And there are no worries about going as a single person as everyone was just so warm. So it is definitely worth the two week's hibernation afterwards. Josh, Steve and the team made it so enjoyable, I would go again in a heartbeat! And it’s wonderful to meet a group of warm, like minded tennis people too. Thank you so much Active Away, you are amazing at what you do and you create something truly unique.

This was my first experience with Active Away so was looking forward to see how it compared to the tennis at La Manga, which is my usual tennis holiday. Well, it was the best tennis holiday I have ever been on and the whole coaching program was incredible, out surpassing the coaching I received at La Manga! The whole way the coaching is set up is perfect and the coaches were fantastic. Guy, Chris and Mike each had there own coaching style which I found brilliant, with having more sessions with Chris & Mike I cannot fault their approach, and learnt so much from both of them. Guy was a fun host with a great spirit for fun whilst learning and the “apres tennis” was a great way to really get to know the coaches and the others in the group. I had a private lesson with Chris, who gave me a new approach to take on board for my forehand, which I have never been told before. He is an amazing coach with enthusiasm that shines through and he really breaks down the techniques to benefit your game. Mike also gave me some incredible techniques to think about and again is full of enthusiasm on court which is just an energy booster to the whole programme. All coaches watch without you knowing and despite Guy only taking my group for one session he gave me advice for my second serve. I honestly cannot praise these coaches enough, or the whole process of the week. Guy, Chris and “ my bro” Mike have taught me so much and have become friends during the week, they really made my first tennis holiday with Active Away the most incredible, fun, and perfect break. I am now an Active Away holiday convert and have already booked for next year !!

Great week in Turkey, 3-10 October, at the 5 star Liberty Hotels Lykia - truly wonderful setting and most importantly, lots and lots of courts. Excellent value with small coaching group sizes and expert tuition designed to develop your game, not rebuild it! All transfers went smoothly which was no mean feat given the C-19 challenges. The AA coaches made sure everyone felt a part of the group (24 of us) both during the coaching, at meal times, and in the bar, and I wouldn’t hesitate booking as a solo guest. Looking forward to another week at Lykia next autumn, and perhaps a Greek island in the spring. Highly recommend as excellent value and a wonderful experience.

I have attended 3 Active Away one-day clinics now and have loved every minute of it. The coaches are brilliant. They have a wealth of experience and are oozing enthusiasm. My net play has noticeably improved, as has my doubles game. My doubles partner also attends the clinics with me and we've now started winning consistently against players that previously walked all over us. The great thing is that each clinic has something new to offer so it's not a case of doing the same drills every time. I am yet to try one of the holidays but if they're anything like the one day clinics then I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Great holidays. Excellent tennis coaching but also very enjoyable. The head coach organises a social programme so it's a great holiday for both singles, couples and groups. You can mix with the group as much or as little as you wish. There is time for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing too. The coaches have a good sense of humour and tennis sessions are great fun. They are also very helpful in sorting out any problems that occasionally arise whilst away. Active away research and visit all the venues themselves so the hotels and facilities are a high standard. As a single traveller I have felt completely at ease from the very first holiday and found that many of my fellow guests were also single travellers, although it is not targeted solely at the single market . It can be daunting to travel alone but everyone has a common interest in tennis so conversation is never short! The coaches are of the highest quality and the customer care doesn’t stop on the tennis court but continues on to the social events also. They work extremely hard to make sure everyone has a wonderful holiday. First Active Away holiday was May 2019. Didn't know what to expect but it exceeded expectations. The organisation and tennis was brilliant, with coaching, fun tournaments and organised courts in down time of people asked for it. This was my first Activeaway holiday and it certainly won't be the last! Having not played tennis for 10 years due to various joint injuries I was somewhat nervous about the whole concept of playing with others. After 1 day of playing it all started to return - rusty for sure, but it all came flooding back and although probably one of the weaker players it didn't matter at all as everyone mixes in and your game gets stronger and stronger as the week progresses. I LOVED every minute of it. The hosts were fantastic - Josh, Chris and Jake. They are not only fabulous coaches, but fabulous hosts and individuals both on and off the court. The Ikos Aria hotel was out of this world with their service and attention to detail as well. It is a holiday not to be missed if you want great tennis coaching (regardless of your level), a good laugh and plenty of pampering in a first class hotel....not to mention the cocktails on the beach! For those wanting quality downtime - this hotel is the place for you. Great entertainment through the day into the evening and fabulous beaches and pools to have fun in, or relax as required. Sani is a stunning, fabulous resort with many bars and restaurants to choose from which raises the holiday to another level. There were 16 in our group this week - perfect for the 4 courts we had - with the majority having been on at least one Active Away tennis holiday before and many returning to Sani, just as we did. My doubles partner and I attended an Activeaway Clinic in Nottingham (David Lloyd West Bridgley) for the first time this weekend. We really didn’t know what to expect but were extremely impressed by the quality of coaching, the standard of the facilities and the professional yet extremely friendly and engaging nature of the Activeaway staff. We learnt so much that it would be easy to feel confused – however they backed up the coaching with hand outs and links to videos. I have absolutely no doubt that our game has improved and that we will return for either more weekend courses or a longer holiday – which many of our fellow participants had already been on and recommended. I have absolutely no hesitation in saying that you will not regret it if you attend one of these courses. Seriously good coaching and seriously good fun!!! I had a brilliant week at Kalimera Kriti in Crete. Excellent coaching and slick organisation. No-one could fault the enthusiasm and passion of our host, Josh and lovely coaches Alex, Sean and Adam. Pretty resort with lovely food and great setting. The hotel rooms are traditional Greek and could do with being refurbished, however this is one of the cheaper ActiveAway resorts and you don't spend that long in your rooms. There were a couple of teething issues with the hotel with regard to the drinks package and getting lunch on arrival day, but these were soon sorted. Met some lovely fellow tennis enthusiasts. Hope to book another tennis holiday with ActiveAway next year.

Had an amazing weekend at David Lloyd West Bridgford Nottingham with Active Away. Having used a couple of other tennis coaching companies previously we had an idea of what to expect but our expectations were surpassed by the professionalism, friendliness and expertise of the guys. The coaching was of the highest quality with a different schedule each day to cover as much as possible in 10 hrs coaching over the 2 days. The weekend was followed up by written information to take home summarising take-home tips, and video links to remind us all of what we hopefully had learned and needed to put into practise!! Having never stayed in a resort like Sani Beach, nor ever having done a tennis Activeaway holiday, this has been an experience not to be missed! 🎾 From the initial recommendation, to the booking, payment reminders/ admin. and then the actual holiday itself, things have been exceptionally well organised and seemlessly executed. The hotel accommodation at Sani Beach, Halkidiki🇬🇷 ( I’m so pleased to have upgraded to a sea facing bedroom), the amazing friendly and efficient staff and delicious cuisine, beautifully presented ( in all the restaurants that I experienced), has been simply outstanding! Then there was the tennis, the coaching, and the people. 🎾 The coaching and presentation was excellent, as was meeting and playing with folk from different clubs. Generally, people with similar interests with nothing to prove, apart from thoroughly enjoying themselves whilst improving their game. Thanks to all the coaches- you were all brilliant! I would absolutely recommend this experience, with this company at this resort. It has been worth all my pennies and more! As an aside: For non tennis playing partners, there are ample interesting activities and excursions locally to enjoy. Not forgetting the wonderful Spa experience. You won’t regret booking on this holiday!😃

Another terrific holiday with Activeaway, this time skiing in Alagna - a really great Italian resort north of Turin. Whilst probably not ideal for beginners, this was a stunning area with beautifully maintained pistes and stunning scenery. And no queues for lifts! The Hotel Monterosa was ideally situated, just a short walk from the gondola. Joachim and Tina, the hotel owners, were wonderful hosts and gave the hotel a welcoming and relaxed vibe. The food was excellent and the wine list reflected the local area (I can particularly recommend the Gattinara!), and Joachim was always able to recommend the perfect accompaniment with each meal. As always, the Activeaway hosts - on this occasion, Matt and James - were fantastic ensuring that we had as much fun off the piste as on it. A great group, a really great holiday - I have already booked my place for next year!

The food was Michelin star standard and the accommodation, service and facilities were 5 star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ With a physio as a Spa therapist, who did the best deep tissue back massage ever, what more could one ask for on a tennis coaching/social holiday?! The beautiful beach extending around the bay, lent itself to amazingly refreshing and energising swims and long vigorous walks. To watch the sunset from the beach lounger, glass of rosè in hand, consolidated what was a memorable and very worthwhile tennis holiday.😃😎 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend booking this trip with Activeaway🎾 Just do it- even as an individual, one feels comfortable and included- one doesn’t have to book as part of a group.😃

The kalimera Kriti hotel is a beautiful location with a lovely beach and excellent food. The six tennis courts are at the back of the hotel. The Active Away team were very energetic and encouraging with a very inclusive attitude throughout five days of tennis, so that all the group enjoyed playing together. The only criticisms are that the hotel drinks package was a waste of money, and the night out with the other hotel group was a failure.

My wife and I have just enjoyed our fourth week with Active Away. This year we went to Kos. The weather was superb. The courts are excellent and the guys Chris and Zach managing them are great. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked really hard to ensure that everything was done in a timely fashion. This is a new resort operated to the same high standards as Sani, where we had visited before. We had the benefit of all inclusive catering and the attention to detail and the whole quality of the resort is excellent Once again the week was hosted by Josh Thompson who was ably supported by Chris and Jake . The quality of the coaching was superb. They are all dedicated to improving the tennis of each and every person on the court . It is a real skill to support the needs of the group whilst still having time to give those little gems to individuals. It is a skill that they have in spades .¹The course content is seriously good but delivered in a fun way. After all it is a holiday after all! After our first week we thought it could not be bettered but our second week was. Our third week was even better and we want to come back for more.

It was good to meet up again with people from previous holidays.The coaching team led by Josh was amazing and was very inclusive regardless of age or ability. Coaching was of a high quality with always something new to learn and take away. The club afternoon tennis was well organised, good fun and a chance to play against a range of players. The evenings were a great way to meet new people off the court, lots of fun and laughter and the coaches go out of their way to ensure everyone is included. It was so good to spend a week with a great bunch of fun loving people who enjoy playing tennis. Am so looking forward to my next Active Away holiday in Turkey in October. We bumped into AA by accident at the Aegon tennis championships in Nottingham and took away a brochure. Since our first 1 day clinic it’s been fun and great for our tennis. Just returned from the most fabulous tennis holiday at Lyttos Beach, Crete last week. The hotel is in a stunning location right on the beach. The room, food, facilities, evening entertainment etc was excellent. Our host Josh Thompson was attentive and helpful on and off the court all week. The standard of coaching by Josh and the other 4 coaches was superb and their likeable, friendly approach made every session so enjoyable. I have already booked with Active Away Tennis Holidays for Sani Beach in October this year which tells you how highly I rate them.

I have just come back from another brilliant holiday with Active Away. The teaching was positive with good demonstration and clear explanation. Active Away have developed a fun & effective coaching style - I always learn something new or get a reminder that I have slipped into bad habits! At the end of the day when the ‘hard work’ (4 hrs of tennis in glorious sunshine on a pristine clay court 😜) is over for us the AA team are still busy ensuring everyone is included and having a great time off the court. The hotels they have selected are perfect and in some amazing locations. AA were able to tailor my breaks so I could stay on for a few extra days to relax and do some sightseeing. After only 1 holiday I felt like part of the family - each year I bump into friends made on previous holidays and UK tennis clinics. Roll on Greece 2019!!

I went to Lyttos Beach in May 2018. My first Active Away holiday. I went solo which isn't a problem because you are immediately in a group activity and making friends is natural. The resort is good. Plenty of courts and other activities to hand. The tennis consists of coaching in the morning and social tennis in the afternoon. The coaches were superb. Not just in tennis terms but also they made sure everyone had a great time socially.I have no hesitation in awarding 5 stars assessment of my holiday. Phil Jones, Merseyside.
