Reviews of Dulwich Hamlet Football Club

First visit to Dulwich Hamlet Football Club and will definitely be back. Don’t Buy the Sun adverts, nice beer and pitta gyros and standing applause for the knee - what’s not to like! The quality of the action on the pitch was surprisingly good much better than expected. As a premiere league match regular I enjoyed the more relaxed match day experience, friendly and fun.

19/3/22 Dulwich Hamlet 1-1 Slough Town. Adult £12 (prebooked online) Programme £2. Attendance 2705. My first ever visit to Champion Hill. Got to admit I didn’t really know what to expect. This club gets so many through the door it doesn’t feel like a non league game. The ground itself is pretty basic. It has one large grandstand on one side. This was pretty much full by 2:30 when we got there. Opposite is a small covered terrace area. Both ends behind the goals are open to the elements. There are small terraced steps behind the goals which give you a better view. If you stand at the sides then it is all flat, so bear in mind that with 2500+ fans you might not get the view you want. The food offering here is amazing and something that the club has got spot on. It’s not just chips and burgers. I have to admit that it did make me wonder if most of the Dulwich supporters come for the beer and food rather than the football. Their supporters are a credit to the club. They are very friendly and welcoming and some even joined in with our singing and drum playing. I would highly recommend a visit. I would say it would be easier to get there by using public transport. We drove yesterday and it took an hour and a half to do just 24 miles!! I did enjoy seeing some of the sights of London though!

I had a delightful day for my first visit to Champions Hill Stadium. Everyone was very friendly and the bovril was smashing. A 3-0 win by the home side made it a perfect day.

First visit to Dulwich. Lovely old ground. Good views from all sides. Friendly locals. Huge number of the 900+ fans in attendance were wearing Dulwich colours including a number of pet dogs.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. It was lovely to see a family friendly and good natured crowd support a very popular local soccer team.

I love this place. Good beer always available, friendly atmosphere, very good for families, a great ethos. Football, comedy club, it's all good. My mother's tagged along just to talk to people's dogs 😂 she doesn't even like football so they must be doing something right

Great club, friendly atmosphere, an opposing team fan sat in the hamlet stand with us and was welcomed. They even had vegan pies!!! Tremendous club history, the 1st club to have a non white player play for them in the late 19th century.
Not so skilled footie though. A great afternoon out

Dulwich Hamlet is the club I wish I had access to growing up. Incredible atmosphere, great food and good beer all at reasonable prices. Brilliant for a day out with the family and have taken my daughter to a number of the Women's matches this year which we enjoyed a lot. Up the Hamlet!
