Reviews of Mile End Park Leisure Centre and Stadium
M. R.
A nice community sports centre.
Good amount of equipment, good spinning room and pretty friendly staff. Best thing is the community feel and wider cross section if people than perhaps some other local gyms.
Four stars is a shade harsh but it lacks things like free WiFi and could do with more sport clubs and taster sessions for adults.
For the price and community aspect it's still better value than the more expensive City of London gyms and probably even the budget ones around the corner.
R. A.
Been playing football here for years and have always enjoyed myself. Many pitches available for booking that suit all kinds of matches or training. The pitch sizes cater to 5, 7 and 8 a side needs and are always in good condition considering how much they are used daily.
Have never been a member of the gym so cannot comment on the facilities or the swimming pool. However prior to Covid, I would regularly use the bathroom and changing room and was always pleased by the condition that they were kept in (again owing to the volume of visitors this place welcomes on a daily basis).
C. R.
Nice place to bring your kids and enjoy an amazing day
M. B. T.
3 stars because of the cleanness in the swimming pool specifically changing room , no shoes restrictions for those coming from outside . As well it doesn't look like the place is bleached properly and often
l. U.
Gym area after refurbishment is quite big. Lots of new equipment, machines, punch bag. 5-6 folding benches 1 flat weight bench, frame, dunbrells up to 100kg. New treadmill machines bikes rowing machines. Can be busy at peak times but 30£ per month is best value for money in e3. Very handy self service machines not need to queue at reception
T.
Nice gym but the manager is not customer-friendly.
Booked to play badminton and was told over the phone that rackets and shuttlecocks would be provided. They were not, but staff managed to find some lying around. The manager was not interested in letting us borrow the equipment despite being told otherwise. The manager even refused to sell the equipment when their was no barcode yet attached to the equipment. Staff were sympathetic
A. V. M.
Years ago I used to use the gym here - good equipment but does get very busy.
It’s go swimming and a athletic track too.
Some lovely green space around it.
B. G.
Shallow teaching pool is good to take my baby swimming as it's heated to about 28 or 30 degrees I believe. Soft play area is good once baby can walk.
s. a.
I love the gym and the health suite. It Keep me healthy and relax. I am soo glad is back running again
T. 1.
It's alright, just your average gym really. The womens section defo needs more space and weights but other then that, all decent:)
A. H.
Leisure centre, clean, spacious! Gym and swimming pool very modern, could do with toilet cleaning checks more regularly. More importantly, the bengali 5 aside tournament was great!
M. O. R.
Best place fot the badminton.
S. H.
I loved this place because it's in the Park and it's a big place. Facilities are great
V. N. (. V.
Fantastic facility with Fully #equipped #gym #swimming #healthsuite #athletics #gymnastics #sporthall #creche #football #5-a-side #basketball #pool Great prices on memberships too.
M. i.
Hired a pitch for a family football match. Was good size pitch, clean and had no issues what so ever. One thing I would say is if you do park your car in the car park make sure you read the car park signs and notices to avoid getting a ticket.
a.
Place needs a clean. Parents and visitor's around the swimming pool need shoe covers. Unhygienic
P. M.
Really fun place. Not really beginner friendly, but definitely worth visiting!
E. M.
Friendly staff and fine pool. Cold showers
K. F.
The track is ok, the facilities look and smell a bit neglected, alway issues with the system and taking payments, not once a smooth experience.
D. B.
A large sports complex and home to Essex Senior League football clubs, Tower Hamlets and Sporting Bengal FC,s. Saw a good game of football for the former against Waltham Forest. Stand is very far back and there is an athletics track.
S. S.
Really great location with parking something rare.. Great for the local community been a member since 2005.. Great Refurbishment done over the years good quality machines and free weights my Only qualm is if only it was 24 hours.
Please make the gym 24 hours!!
Monday to Saturday at least!!
Staff are on and off and can be unattentative but I just go in headphones on focused and ignore the world.. Im off peak user so its
relatively quiet when I do go..
Definitely the best around the area should be more busy and was a great idea whoever thought of it.. Like I said if only they run the Gym 24 hours..
S. D.
I really love it hear
The facilities are grate
The gym is a good size with loads of equipment and helpfull staff
And the pool is grate too clean surrounds and not too buissey you can swimm lengths without bumping into people
Good size car park too and only 1.50 for 2 hours
N. T.
It is nice leisure centre with most of facilities, it is my first time there I found so helpful staff especially there was a member staff called Joy, she helped me to complete the payment and registration to the app
D. H.
A really good leisure facility in the heart of Mile End, Tower Hamlets. The gym is spacious, plenty of available equipment depending on what time of the day you go. I prefer late morning/lunchtime.
Then you see the Sauna/swimming pool area. Absolutely filthy, looks quite neglected and unhygienic. I blame the customers using this area. A lot of them lack basic hygiene and common courtesy to be considerate towards others using the space.
But I would definitely recommend a visit to this leisure centre albeit opening times and capacity for facilities and some activities may be capped.
T. T. P.
Changing rooms have a constant smell of urine. Otherwise the pool facilities are good. Toilets could do with cleaning/replacing
r. y.
Staff are generally friendly & helpful. Seems to be well organised. My only gripes are: 1. why close one of the pool lanes? assuringly to 'social distance' from the spectator area where people change/leave their bags (surely more than 2 metres from anyone swimming in the pool?) - swimmers are crammed in to the remaining lanes which doesn't make sense; 2. the changing rooms can be a bit ropey, not always the cleanest & could do with a spruce up. personally I don't like mixed gender changing either & it feels weird to shower with your swimming trunks still on
V.
Love Mile End Track... Great for a speed training session. There's a pool and gym in the other side also, super handy
A. S.
Well equipped gym. The staff members provide a caring and respectful customer service, especially the gorgeous young women Joy! Definitely recommend this place for anyone who lives local or just passing by
J. G.
The staff are generally great and if you take the time to be friendly, they reciprocate. The floors of the changing rooms could be a lot cleaner and by late in the day are pretty horrid at times. But the pool is fab and the courses are varied and fun.
L. M.
Have only been swimming here and tend to go in the evenings.
Pool lane size is quite alright though does tend to get very busy, maybe I am going at peak times.
Changing rooms have always been clean on my visits and showers hot and clean too.
Facilities such as vending machines in entrance are sufficient for snacks and drinks which is handy.
My only gripes are that the pool is always freezing cold and quite a shock when you first get in and secondly, the staff at the reception desk tend to be a bit hostile which let's the place down.
A. P.
Some classes are amazing especially Mickey and Yolanda Yoga and Sunday Yoga. Seem to be always short of staff despite being very busy and machine to check in yourself often not working. Would be better if they employ more staff and train them properly. Would be nice if staff smile / say hello sometimes. Found staff often very stressed and short tempered not very professional tbh. Like when they check women Sauna and steam but never men acting like police ... The checks are done in a very strange ways. Sauna and steam are biggest issues and often not cleaned properly so smell. Good swimming pool. It seems that people get different deals for paying for monthly payments too.. which is doggy and not fair.
A. M.
Good pool and health suite as well as Gym
A. P.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience here! Sign up is pretty quick and easy. If you are a local, I’d suggest the yearly membership - it works out a lot cheaper and you’d want to come back to this place again. The carts are of good quality and so is the track. The staff is friendly and polite. Their instructions are very useful, specially to the beginners. The equipment (helmet/jacket etc) is clean enough. Something to keep in mind - not all carts are of the same quality. If you are looking to go as fast as you can, it helps to figure out which carts are fast and which are not. One of the staffers gave me useful tips which helped me improve my time. Highly recommend this place. I will be back.
R. M.
Museum. Of old orphanage free entry, loads to see 10mins walk from mile end underground station, worth a visit.
J. G.
Much improved gym and changing facilities. Gym is as well stocked as any average City gym and far cheaper. Recommended.
R. C. W. Y.
Always a pleasure when we go. There is a play area for kids. Swimming teachers are a bit of a hit and miss. I always say if the swimming teacher gets in the pool to help and instruct the kids to show them how it's done, then you know you know your child has a great teacher. I had to change my daughters swimming teacher to another I noticed was having fun with the kids. Reception staff are lovely and was more than happy to tend to my needs.
M. I.
Good place for your fitness, I ues this leisure centre every week specially Sunday to play football ⚽️
G. S.
Clean, tidy and well organised during covid pandemic. Lots of space in the gyms.
Easy booking app for your allocated time slot.
V. S.
Went there for some football matches with my colleagues. The changing room is nice and clean, and most of the pitches are in a good condition. We did play on one which had holes in the turf, thus making it dangerous to play on, but we did also change the pitch, and the others were in a good shape.
R. A.
This place was wonderful when it opened. Some staff are ok but some are just rude and give you wrong information. They need better customer service training. Health suit is nasty, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room its packed full of people who stay over there time. Last time the Jacuzzi had this onion effect on my eye due to the thing they put in, should of taken some out in a bottle and gotten it tested. The toilets where really bad. No sun beds or good sturdy chairs. Classes are good but always fully booked. Gym, swimming pool and the badminton court and other sport facilities are pretty good.
A. B.
Average gym but have good variety of stuff for kids to do.
R. M.
I am a regular user of the gym and over the last few months considerable investment has been put through, upgrading / adding to the existing facilities. The gym is now one of the most comprehensively equipped I have used - fantastic!
f. u.
Good facilities: a kids pool and a large swimming pool, gym and sports hall. The only problem is that the showers are sometimes broken.
J. A.
I have had a pleasant visit at Mile End today and was greeted by a lovely lady Joy who helped me with my membership. She was very patient with us. She helped me and my partner. Thank youJoy
S. D.
The only let down here was having to pay £1.50 to park a minimum of 2 hours when all I went to do was pick up a new fob to allow my daughter entry the following day for her activity.Luckily someone pulled in as I was about to leave not even 10minutes later so the money wasnt wasted as i passed on the ticket which had 1hr and 50min left on it...atleast it's not vehicle specific.
Staff member who helped me apparently does swimming lessons with my daughters school and recognised her, she was incredibly helpful and had my issue sorted really quickly.
Witnessed two members of the public not being very polite (quite demanding actually) of the other staff at reception desk, staff handled it well considering the visitors didnt seem to have any manners at all.
B. O. G.
This place has improved a lot. Although I can't comment on the services and delays in fixing equipment. In the past those were issues. But there haven't been any break downs with the new equipment, yet.
Edit: Their covid19 changes aren't making entering and joining the gym smooth, the machines will leave you in a loop when trying to renew your membership.
l. s.
They have some nice course.. Zumba, yoga.
The swimming pool is OK as well...
5 stars
C. L.
Better gym it's a great place where to go. It's not busy and you have always place to use the machines. Also has all kind of classes (check the website of better). It has a swimming pool as well and outside to run. Staff really nice. We have a partnership membership and it's 33 a month and we can use everything plus go to any class and use any gym in tower Hamlets.
D. B.
It's expensive for what it is to be honest. Facilities are pretty good in terms of gym range. Classes are on at really inconvenient times if you work, no early morning options. Has a decent pool that can get busy.
H. R.
I go to the gym there because it's less pricey and close to my place. It does the job as most of the machines and weights are present. Although I would have preferred with more benches and barbells. The facilities are modern and well maintained! The staff is always available and seems qualified to help if you have any questions (never asked).
S. H.
Returned to swimming lessons for the first time since lockdown. Fantastic organisation and such helpful, polite and positive staff. Made it very easy and enjoyable. Thanks
M. M.
Lots of cardio machines. Weights can get busy.
S. B.
Reasonable sized (small/medium) soft play. Clean. BUT! The capacity is up to 100 kids. When you have children ages from 0-10+ all at one go it looks like carnage waiting to happen. I was watching my young ones like a hawk when bombarded by a group of 20-30 young boys. Only advise to go when quiet if not stay far away!
A. R.
The staff were so friendly and helpful plus made the whole experience that bit more fun!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to take on a escape room or just a fun way to use your brain!! Will definitely be going back!!
M. A.
Good place , parking is available but not free generally clean place including toilets
A. L.
A great site with lots of facilities for football, athletics, tennis and all sorts of stuff. The facilities themselves are a bit knackered - the tennis courts have seen better days, with faded lines and a fairly dodgy surface - but unfortunately that's what happens when you offer a big range of services and facilities in such a built up area of the City. Also the staff have always been really friendly and helpful with me and can't really be blamed for lack of investment. I haven't used all the facilities so can't comment on those, but for me it is a welcome alternative to the many pubs, hipster breakfast bars and food joints to enjoy in the local area.
G.
There is a nice gym, the staff is quite friendly.
Negative is:
that every time 30% of the machine at the gym are not working,
the gym is not that clean
the lockers are working at 70%
outside area is sometimes dirty
I think they should put more efforts in the little details
Except this it's in a good location
J. G. (. L.
I attend a couple of classes here a week, in both the pool and the studio. The centre offers a good range of classes aimed at a cross section of abilities.
I do wish the the pool showers and changing rooms weren't the "mixed family" type and instead were more gender specific. I understand that there is a women's shower and changing room, so where is the men's?
I can't comment on the health suite because I haven't used it. The gym has a wide selection of kit but seems to have the only water point, one in the pool area would be good- as this is snotano part of the building.
Overall, the centre has everything I need and expect from a public leisure centre.
P. W.
I visited this stadium to watch my daughter in an athletics competition. Although not as new as the track at Lea Valley it none the less supports an enjoyable watching experience. The height of the stand enables the viewer to see all the race and field events with ease. This not always the case with other venues. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to provide change for parking. The cost of parking is expensive but not too unreasonable.
J. G. S.
Very safe given the current situation with COVID-19. The first gym that made me feel safe working out.
S. M.
Friendly reception. Not too busy..Good size swimming pool. Irrational system for changing rooms. No feet / footwear protection. Verruca central potential. £6 a swim
L. C.
Perfect for my sprint sessions. Well lit up. Nice track surface. Reasonable price of £3.30 to use the track. I've actually never used their changing rooms so can't comment on those facilities. Can at times be a little busy and if there's a running club, be prepared for them ignoring general track etiquette if you happen to not be running with them. You might have to shout at them to get out of your way if they just wander into your lane or stop abruptly. Alternatively, I suppose you could join the run club!
S. V.
I live just behind the corner and for years I avoid the place as doesn't have good reviews.
Now I'm ready to write mine!!!
I go swimming only, when I go in the evening unfortunately there are often parents walking along the pool in own shoes, not hygienic at all!!!
I often see staff cleaning changing rooms, so if you find it dirty, it's only stupid people's fault!!!
The staff at the "membership corner" was really nice, however you don't get much information on how to get in: you use your card like oyster at the gates and so I did for my first two weeks, till the day the man at the desk shouted at me "hey where you are going,?? You need to scan your card there first" when I told him no one told and I have been doing it for 2 weeks, he said was impossible!
M.
Four stars because I only visited to take my granddaughter for a swimming lesson. I used to swim there a lot from when it first opened. Still well kept and friendly helpful staff.
S. C.
Had a go at an escape room, under protest, during my brother's stag day. It was actually ok. The staff were helpful and the puzzles well worked and logical. Not really my cup of tea but if you are into this kind of thing you will enjoy it here.
T. A.
I would have rated this place one star if it weren’t for the decent swimming pool.
Other than that the whole place is below average.
Junior gym members are forced into a tiny ‘programmable gym’ that is full of women; making them feel understandly uncomfortable as they work out with teenagers. So I went into the main gym (which isn’t that good either) and me alongside others were kicked out of the leisure centre and they threatened to do so for a week, if we go back to the main gym again.
Most of the staff here are friendly, however, others: not so much.
Would only recommend swimmers and male gym members to come here.
S. B.
Pretty decent, no-frills local authority gym run by Better. Very good facilities including a swimming pool, full gym with cardio equipment, running machines, free weights and a wide variety of classes.
D. C.
Nice training swimming pool for children.
M. F. H.
Clean and very professional leisure centre. Staff is profession. I will tell all my friends about this place. Thank you joy for helping me and my wife. I really appreciate this.
L. E.
Local amenity. Tried out the new soft play session. For 2 children cost me £11.45 for an 1 session. Not the best value for money in my opinion. I have tried other boroughs soft play sessions and a lot cheaper (even as a non member)
L. B.
Ranges of classes, pool, steam/sauna rooms, indoor court and stadium are quite good, and they are currently carrying out extension/refurb works.
Though the standard of cleanliness in the studio and changing rooms is REALLY poor and sometimes the reception staff would need to be friendlier/more efficient.
Also, why are men allowed in the ladies gym?!?
Good overall but really need some improvement.
Y. L.
So much fun!! The staff were so friendly and helpful plus made the whole experience that bit more fun!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to take on a escape room or just a fun way to use your brain!! Will definitely be going back!!
S. T. O.
Great swim, steam or sauna.
K. T.
Great pitches for football. Lovely range of activities for whole family. Great variety to suit allot everyone, staff turnover high so many changes and at time swimming instructors only covers lesson but ask member of staff if you not satisfied with current plan etc....
S. A.
gym has all you need for your workout although it can be very busy and the space is a little tight.
swimming pool is ok but I have been to better council ones and the changing rooms sometimes smell a bit funny.
staff are good
j. l.
Great staff, good pool and very covid-safe. Good to support as it's a social enterprise. Great option to stay healthy!
A. T.
The employees at the leisure centre are absolutely amazing. They are really kind and helpful.
M. N.
I have only ever used the swimming pool for lane swimming and for the baby swimming class.
I enjoyed the lane swimming, enough space in the swimming pool and for me enough time.
The swimming pool for the baby feels on the cold side and my baby would be cold before the end of the 30 min lesson. At the end of the lesson the changing room facilities with a baby changing unit get busy and you might have to wait. The changing area doesn't feel warm/ heated for waiting around.
S. B.
Great place for your children to come and train if there serious about becoming an athlete, fitness, or just want learn knowledge on how their body works. Adult can also train and get a personal trainer help here. Atmosphere is nice, the staff are great the trainers are amazing the whole place is family friendly
M. D.
Mile End Stadium is an asset to the local community, providing at the very least a running track and the opportunity to practice field sports. However, the whole place feels unloved.
If you want to get round the other side of the track to watch, you have to negotiate an overgrown path, and when those elderberries are ripe that will mean stained clothes. In the meantime, it just feels unwelcoming and unhelpful to any wheelchair user who has to use the path. And the paths themselves need some work, uneven as they are.
And then let's look at the complete absence of provision for wheelchair users beyond a basic toilet. If I'm watching my son at sports day in the summer, I'd like to get under the shade of the roof, like anyone who can walk up into the grandstand seating can. Instead, I'm left to sit and burn away from all the other spectators. Social inclusion seems rather to have passed this place by.
So while I'm glad the place exists, it really could do with Better investing in making it quite literally better for visitors. Because right now it's not great.
G. W.
Good all weather pitches
T. M.
The swim lessons for kids and the teachers are pretty good but then you get to the changing rooms and they smell of wee with lots of rubbish lying about. I suppose that says more about the people who use this place than the place itself but they still need to be on top of the cleaning more than they are.
S. “.
Nice big park, lots to explore, butterfly routes, nature walk, children's play area, basketball and tennis court, football pitch, gym, stadium, art gallery pavilion, little hills to climb and get view of the surrounding, also local food places to eat from. You can take a stroll or ride your bike in the summer breeze and enjoy with, family, friends or own your own.
J. C.
Shared shower areas look disgusting have to take my daughter to the womens only section even that is not very clean and has little flies in the dark shower room where the lights don't work or are dim. The female only gym is good but i've seen men come in there as well?.
e. c.
This place is honestly the coolest children centre ive gone to. The park is usually open till 5 and the centre till 3:30. they have a whole soft play room, comfy sofas and tons of toys and fun stuff for the little ones
M. H.
Reopen again. I know it's not best but not worse either. Large swimming pool and separate for kids. All the facilities are available and parking facility with small charge
D. A.
We went to the softplay and enjoy a lot
M. D.
It's OK.
To be honest it's a fairly standard stadium. Youv'e got your 400m track, 2 long jump pit, 2 shot-put areas, a javelin area, discuss and 2 high jumps. The toilets are standard but not kept very clean and the changes are decent enough. There are vending machines too.
A. K.
Does get packed at times but has all the basics. Alot of cardio machines. Has a room for females only. Cant complain. place has a sauna room.. a jacuzi and a steam room. they also have 2 swimming pools.
C. D.
I love this park & the ethos behind it. It has a harmony with nature that is sadly lacking in most London parks. I believe the intention of the keepers is to extend this strip of green someday, all the way to the Thames. I really hope they manage this.
O. I.
good local park and leisure centre
J.
Great place to go and relax alone or with your friends. You can play basketball, football ir anything you want. People are amazingly nice and if you are playing (like un my case, basket) alone, they will ask you to go and join them. I really love going there and have some fun while the weather is nice, like it's been lately this days. In other words, an amazing place full of amazing people, one of my favourite spots in London yo disconnect and forget about your daily routine. 💯
S. R.
Everything's clean and friendly staff and reasonable prices
L. A.
I went there with some friends to watch a game, Although the area is quite big and there is a lot of space for sports, the area for seating was small and disgusting. There weren't proper chairs and I was disappointed and disgusted by how low the benches were to the floor. The games I watched were brilliant but the seating area needs lots of work in my opinion
j. n.
Mile End park Leisure centre it was lovely day it was lots of people there on bikes family enjoying yourself and lovely weather there you can stay there all day until the stars at night kindly regards Jason
L. K.
Gym facilities are fine and I appreciate the women's only section, however the changing rooms and toilets are disgusting and have been ever since I started using this centre 5 years ago. Please fix the toilets and the toilet doors!
R. C.
Came to train at the gym here. The weights area is far too small and congested and there aren't enough benches or dumbells and they don't even have barbells or an ez bar. There is no dedicated place to deadlift either. And you can't train without literally touching other people. The treadmill area is much better though. The changing rooms are pretty dirty and off putting.
M. D. H.
As a member of the gym I went here regularly for a long time. The facilities, including a swimming pool are very good. At the time I was a member it was very reasonably priced. However now that the site is run by 'Better' it is quiet expensive and the off peak membership is very restrictive.
C. K.
We use the football pitches here. They are excellently maintained and great price in comparison to other places (£42) at time of writing. We have played at other places which are more expensive but not a higher quality. Only issue is it is often slow to get through to someone on the phone to book an activity and they don't allow you to do it online.
Q. A.
Very nice and useful place for the youngsters and adults to play and enjoy holidays. There are a lot of activities you can enjoy at the park such as football, clubs, gym, circles etc.
The park also accommodate family, wheel chair accessible ànd available car park for your car.
L. V.
I like the mixed gym as its just been done up and has lots of good equipment. Water aerobics class is great. Also offer 50+ classes on Tuesdays for £2.10.
S.
Good deal for what you paid.
B. F.
Cardio area is well equipped with machines, gym area could be a little better appointed. Space not utilised to its maximum potential
C. W.
Friendly staff and lots to do
H. E.
This reviw is about the football pitches there. Nice turf and multiple pitches with different sizes. What I don't really like is that all the pitches are close (from all sides) no outs, corners or goal kicks. In my opinion these types of fields is the main reason why England do not produce high quality skillful players, most of the professional English players have different super powers other than being skillful. Maybe the only few exceptions are Deli Alli and Raheem Sterling :D
A.
One of the best gyms available in the area. Not only a gym but has a sauna - steam - jacuzzi and many other enjoyable activities. Come and join the fun!
R. M. S. W.
Ok for odd sports, but not a place that looks very clean, meaning the rubbish. Tons of squirrels posing in the hope you'll give them some food, which is cool.
D. B.
Four stars as they have updated a lot of their equipment in the gym.
Short staffed and pretty busy in peak times, but off-peak you can use any machine really.
A. A.
This center has some really enjoyable activities, outdoors and indoors, like swimming, football, gymnastics, gym, dancing club, marathon (racing)sprinting range. And dont worry about how much you pay, you'll be amazed of what you'll pay.
r. m.
A good gym especially in the early morning
M. P.
Has all the equipment required for the workout, lots of different equipment as well which is good, opens early and closes late its quite busy but its not bad place to visit to burn off a few calories
A. J.
Love the gym, never 'too' busy where you can't get on machines. Separate women gym too if you feel more comfortable with that
J. C.
Great place to play footy with footy addicks, only problems is sometimes there is rubbish on the pitch and some of the nets are broken at the sides. But overall good sized pitches and no half pitches with netting which are annoying when trying to play
K. H.
Lovely large park with many tables and chairs. They have also agility park for dogs. It is close to canal and have also restaurants and shops next to it. Great place for picnic.
D. A.
Nice place, they don't advertise peak times which makes it hard to judge how much it'll cost before leaving. Also not keen on the fact there are "women only" nights as this does limit the amount of access men have to the facility.
S. D.
My girls go swimming here. Looking at from outside, it looks a bit dated but once your in it's fine and has all the things you need for a leisure centre.
R. Y.
Gym in particular is 30 quid a month so not too expensive. Very busy in the evening but reasonably quiet during afternoons for weekdays.
R. L.
I have done nearly 200 parkruns @ 33 locations and this is the 1st to have lockers(20p coin) and free changing rooms and showers(well it seemed free)!! 😁👍
T.
Great leisure centre and athletics track in a fabulous area of London. Good transport links with the DLR close by to whisk you away to Lewisham. I came 2nd in the 400m event.
O. A.
Mile end park is a nice and lovely place to hang about. The stadium make it even better which you can enjoy small outdoor activities. It also have a leisure centre where you can do swimming and Gym.
S. M.
The reason I'm giving 4 * because the car park is not free otherwise its a five * place
O. A.
I only go here for football. They have 5-a-side and 7-a-side pitches. I prefer playing here because the ground is soft. Other places feels like you are playing on concrete.
S.
Customer service is slow with usually only one person at the reception. Other than that the facilities are good... Gym can get quite packed
M. M.
Brilliant gym/ facility. Great for individuals and families. With swimming and fitness and other facilities. Good rates too cheaper than the more well known gyms.
J. B.
The pool is a nice size and the staff is quite friendly unfortunately it tends to be pretty crowded with lanes mostly taken by lessons and the pool is not the cleanest
S. H.
Reasonable Better sports center and Mikey (pump class instructor) said I was a really strong man. Obviously I blushed. Luckiky my ego fitted through the door at the end of the class.
S. S.
Very easy to get to. Staff are always very helpful. General public however love to leave a mess in the changing rooms sometimes.
A. H. G.
I enjoy swimming here. You can also relax in a hot tub with bubbles:) Mind you have to bring your own hair dryer.
