Reviews of Oasis Sports Centre

OMG love this pool. Can’t believe it’s in the middle of Covent Garden! So random! The water temperature was balmy, the deep end was super nice and deep which I find is quite rare in london pools. It’s buried deep in a residential area but that makes it a quite unique swimming experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Showers were so clean and changing rooms so warm!! Great experience overall! Thank you.
J. R.
My favourite pool in central London. I love the heated outdoor pool all year round, and there are lots of regulars here. Staff are friendly too.

Day trip to London. Walked in unannounced. Bought a ticket at the door. Enjoyed an outdoor swim in the heated pool. Changing rooms clean and functional. Hair drier, hot showers, lockers (needed a 20 p coin) all working. Really happy to see the costume spinner😀
C. S.
Amazing find in the middle of London! Quiet, shaded pool with a sun deck for over 16s. Friendly staff and good sized facilities. They keep capacity controls on it during Covid so it’s not too crowded. Booking was limited but I was lucky to get a spot for a hot day. Will absolutely be back in the summer!

Came as a one off during a London visit. Having to sign up and get the app etc to book a bit of a faff but I appreciate that's the world now 🙄 seemed understaffed and reception queue 4-5 deep until another staff member arrived. Changing rooms grand, outdoor pool good temp and nicely situated amid housing; sadly the deep end in need of a clean, bottom discoloration ++ with algae. An enjoyable swim nonetheless.

Competitive prices, nice outdoor sauna. All the staff were very kind. The building itself a bit bleak / brutalist but this could be someone’s vibe
A. C.
Lovely welcome from staff member at front entrance, signed me up via the app and I went for my first swim here. Great, affordable facility in the heart of town with an outdoor pool that even feels warm on a cold winter's morning.
P. C.
Has an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool. The outdoor pool is heated. Great for s swim come rain shine sleet or snow. Has a large and varied clientele from all ages but a considerately highly disproportionate members of the LGBT+ community which makes it feel very inclusive and modernised
S. K.
I start recently by recommendation my friend. When I was trying to register 3 times I went some how I couldn't,but last time the receptionist; name is ferhat he helped me with kindness and I got there:) I am so pleasant to start friendly and helpful staff 😊

2 pools inside the city center. Booking system is also very usefull. And the yearly subscription is reasonably priced. HOWEVER the infrastructure is old, moldy, dusty, and the pool (especially outside) is usually not clean. Some of the showers arnt working anymore for months, toilets are smelly and the lockers cost 20p each time
A. D.
Swim every morning here. Great outdoor pool (that opens at 6:30am), good mix of users and a friendly atmosphere. Good hot open showers - all available again - in the changing rooms and lots of lockets. All reopen again (apart from the sauna), Sun Terrace also still closed

Great pool! Definitely a 'community centre' type pool. Run down in terms of decor but my overall experience was great.
Very friendly staff who were helpful in facilitating my first trip there. There are ourdoor changing facilities for the outdoor pool when you first arrive that are cubicles with a space to leave your bag in full view of the rest of the pool (I felt safe).
After I swam, I used the indoor changing facilities where I found the showers and space fairly clean. There are hairdryers and straighteners for when you're getting ready as well as a costume spin dryer for use for free.
Good size lanes outside with a fast lane, medium and 2 slow lanes. Very deep at one end (3.5M) and a 27.5M pool outside.
Defintely going back, would avoid lunchtime (1230 - 1300) as it was busier when I left the pool.
c. l.
Outside pool is 27m long.
Only 3 lines which get busy very quickly
Young people are far more respectful then the less young ones. Very sad behaviour.
R. T. D.
So fantastic with restricted number post-lockdown. They need to ban splashy strokes though and better monitor the overtakers. If someone is repeatedly overtaking, they need to be asked to move to the faster lane (if nothing else than for a dose of their own medicine!). It's not pleasant for those of us who can't swim fast due to injury or age.
L. G.
Very nice leisure centre with the only outdoor pool in central London which you can pay single entry to use the facility.
The gym has very good equipment spread along the two floors. They offer memberships with a very good price if compared to other places in central London. Squash courts, studio and a nice coffee shop.
J. B.
Been coming here since outdoor recreational activities lockdown restrictions were lifted. Great outdoor pool, super friendly and very well trained staff, excellent social distancing arrangements and all round excellent experience.
I'm a pay and go member and I use their app to book a swim slot; the app is user friendly and straight forward. The only issue is that all swim slots get booked up by full members seven days in advance, with pay and go members only able to book 5 days in advance. The only way you can secure a slot is if someone cancels - which is the only way I have been able to book.
The other problems with all swim slots being fully booked is that, when you are able to secure a last minute cancellation slot and you turn up, on most occasions the pool is only half full, as there are so many no shows! Better Leisure needs to do what Everyone Active does - charge no shows the £6.15 swim fee - which would encourage all of these members who block book in advance and then not bother turning up, to cancel their slot and free it up for someone who genuinely wishes to swim! I normally swim everyday, and this week I have only been able to secure a swim slot on 3 occasions - so Better have lost out on 4 x £6.15!
There are a few swimmers, who have probably been swimming at the centre from when it was first built, who will scald you if you overtake them in the pool - for example, today I got yelled at because the swimmer said he does not like people overtaking him and that i should get out of his lane! Then I realised after changing lanes that none of white folk overtaking him got told off! I'll just leave it there.
Other than the above grumble, Oasis Sport Centre and staff are amazing and I have enjoyed swimming at Oasis the past two weeks.
A. C.
Great pool, very friendly staff, now with Covid restrictions the lanes seem wider as there are a lot less people. Great changing rooms, hot showers
all in the middle of London. Definitely will be back! So happy they are finally OPEN!
L. K.
Good value for squash courts versus other alternative
3 glassback courts with regular gallery and elevated one. Top of each squash courts have air con.
Receptionist are nice
Walls on courts and floorings could do with an update...
N. B.
Not perfect but homey! My first outdoor pool in London! And I mean in the core of London! Open any weather
r. b.
4 stars at the moment because the ceiling to the entrance foyer has collapsed LOL. Nice outdoor pool. Squash courts too. Central location and quite cheap. Best thing of all is the Pilates class I run there on a Thursday at 5.30pm. Exercise for people who don't want to have to do it and hate gyms. LOL.
P. R.
Fantastic to have a decent swimming pool in Central London; rather, 2 pools as there's indoor and outdoor.
C. B.
Excellent place. It has 2 swimming pools. One is outdoors and open all year. Decent gym too. Great open showers in the mens changing room.
C. C.
Indoor and OUTDOOR swim in Central London very friendly staff sauna in the good times on pool side clean and well managed
Z. N.
It's a great gym to go to to do your daily exercises in swimming gym workout and great customer services and all the staffs are really helpful

Unique open air swimming pool in center of London. Entrance around 6GBP, open from 06:30 I was there at 09:00 on Thursday it was very quiet. 20p for a locker. Nice staff, reasonably clean pool, but it was warm enough, showers were nice. There is another pool inside but no lines.
Pool is 20 meters long. A unique place, nice to have seen and swam in, will return
A. B.
Great to have an outdoor pool in the centre of London.
The facilities are pretty basic but its location is amazing.
For the pool it is best to avoid busy times as the lanes get congested - particularly the Medium speed lane. The gym seems to normally be fine. I don't use the squash courts - but they look good. Sauna by the outdoor pool also seems popular. Staff friendly and helpful. Facility is cleaned regularly - but looks a little down-at heal in places - the showers constantly struggle to cope with the demand,
M. R.
This a good Gym with many positive aspects like some helpful staff in the Gym.
Other Staff are not so helpful.
The changing room is often full of homeless guys having their weekly wash, exfoliating , shaving full body, and clipping toenails and this happens in the shower and on the locker room benches which is a bit off putting.
The water pressure is unpredictable and is often low as the soap in the showers.
Overall it is Ok with room for improvement.
If you make a complaint do not expect that they staff will care much as they just don’t get it.
S. B.
Friendly & relaxed staff! I love the huge womens changing rooms with the TV for watching the news, & the outdoor pool with the three wide lanes unlike some other pools which create more lanes by squashing them together, the little sauna by the pool is nice to have too. Yes the place is a bit old but with the things I use above it suits me perfectly. It looks from other reviews like things have improved over time, it was clean in the changing rooms when I went & the showers are great, keep it up & I'll keep coming!
E. C.
They are doing better than most other Better centres at making the Covid experience as "normal" as possible, which makes swimming so much more relaxed and fun. And they do it with a smile and a warm welcome. In these times that's pure gold. Can't give 5 stars until social distancing restrictions are gone!
S. F.
I really like Better. They have a lot of facilities around London. It's a year and an half I go to this one, after they close the Marshall street one. It's a pretty big facility, with lots of nice activities. The outdoor pool is great. Looks cold in the winter, but the water is actually warm at right point when you get inside. I attend the swim doctor classes at the Oasis sport center: Henry, the teacher is simply great. The Wednesday swim training is definitely one of my favorite; pretty tiring but rewarding at the end. Staff is helpful and competent as in the rest of their facilities I've been to.
G. J.
I discovered this place about a month ago and have been every week since. The pools are a good size and not too cold. The outdoor pool is heated, and it’s great fun being able to swim outside in the cold temperatures.
The sauna is the best I’ve found at a leisure centre in the UK.
Two warnings: you need 20p for the lockers (and you won’t get it back) and the sauna is outside.
P. W.
I use this place every so often for a change of gym and also the heated outdoor pool. So I always use the poolside changing rooms instead of the gym side ones.
The gym is well equipped but sadly lacking any natural light at all. The outdoor pool is great as it's heated and open all year long.
My issue is with the poolside changing rooms. First, of all the gyms I use, it's the only one that KEEPS your 20p for the locker. So repeated visits mean paying more. So I, like many people, take my towel and shower gel out to the pool, in a bag, so we don't have to open our locker and pay again while we have a shower.
The shower room area - it could be a big bigger, but needs a specific area to dry off. As it is it's a big open shower room (no cubicles, so if you're shy, you'll need to use the gym locker room instead that has cubicles), but no real area to dry off without walking back to your locker dripping wet.
As a result the floors are often quite wet in front of the lockers and benches. I've even seen men wring out their costumes on the floor - when there's a spinner by the toilets and sinks.
The toilet area smells of sewer and has ever since I started using the place (at least two years ago). I have no idea why, it's usually clean enough, but must be a drain issue or something, but you'd think it would be fixed by now.
The draw for me is the outdoor pool, esp. in the winter, so I put up with these flaws, but it stops a higher rating from me.
S. J.
Popped in for a swim here, we're not members and hadn't booked. The staff were really friendly and helpful and were happy to have us in for a swim. The outside pool is great, only around 30 meters or so, so not very big. It is warm though! It's split into different speed lanes and has a lovely sauna for free use.
A. H.
Decent gym, well equip, spacious and the swimming pools are decent too. Very popular in summer for lounging is sun by the pool.
Toilets cam be temperamental and out of order. Also, being on ground floor of a big building it can be smelly. The Change room could do with more frequent cleaning, but to be fair it gets busy and the staff do try! Emily faces all round.
J. N.
The gym has everything you need (you'll get lost in the labyrinth of corridors trying to find it first time, however). You pay for the lockers each time which is annoying and a tad strange if you're a paid up member. The swimming facilities are pretty good - I can't think of anywhere else in central London where you can swim outside in a heated pool in January! The outdoor pool is open all year too. There is also a decent indoor pool if you prefer. Staff are pretty helpful and friendly.

Choice of indoor and outdoor pools, nice place for a swim Book online

One of central London's hidden gems- incredibly nostalgic vibe. Having lived in Holborn for years, I'm sad that i didn't discover it much earlier
L. J.
It was my first visit to the OASIS. Both indoor and outdoor pools are very nice. Forgot my membership card and had to show my registration email to get in.. Oh my dear the receptionist said HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me when checking me in(yes it was my 30th)! How sweet and adorable he is!
E. s.
Nice venue to have in central London, the pool is quite run down but still lovely to go to when in central
N. S. (.
Really good value compared to all the other gyms nearby and has good facilities especially the heated outdoor pool which is cool. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and so are the group things like the squash club. Easy to get your wristband and I love the 2 floor split gym as the top floor is nice and relaxed so great for weights and stretching
X. W.
After a day exploring Covent Garden with friends we stumbled across this iconic venue part of Better. We did not know this even existed! Friendly and informative reception service when we entered. We was then given a full tour of the building by peri the sales manager he was so helpful and answered all our questions we had. We will be coming back our next visit for a swim in the lovely heated pool.
S. W.
They change the time and format for booking a session. But lovely people
L. S.
I love swimming here - a decent (28m I think) outdoor pool in the middle of town is too good to pass up. The gym is a good size and well equipped with plenty of free weights as well as machines. Staff are great: always friendly and happy to help.
D. B.
Great sports centre. I have been a member here for a few years and it has always been very good value and well maintained. It is in such a central location and very useful for me as it's near my work. The heated outdoor pool is fantastic in all weathers and having a sauna is an added bonus.
R. D.
A pretty good pool for central London - choice of indoor and outdoor. Busy 07:30-08:30 but good lane discipline and enough space to pass (outside). Good changing facilities - perhaps too few showers at busy times. Lockers take 20p and don't give them back, but there are hairdryers and a centrifuge for your swimsuit. I'd recommend it
A. 3.
Fantastic location and a good range of facilities for it's size. A variety of taught classes and a nice indoor/outdoor cafe area. Pretty keenly priced, very clean and well run. The big draw for me is the indoor and especially outdoor pools - less than 6 quid to splash and sunbathe in Central London. Brilliant!
C. R.
Some of their rates offer great value for money. For example, a student rate is £30 a month inclusive of swimming and classes. The classes are really good but the space is a little dated. Good variety of weights over two floors but slightly stinky! Swimming pool small but lovely. Outdoors.
A. P.
I've been coming here almost every day for a good six years now. The place really suits my needs: Squash, pool, gym, a coffee shop, and excellent service by experienced staff. I can single out Cheryl, Valon, Cesar, Kelly, Peter and Mike, at the risk of neglecting the rest - but everyone deserves credit. I'll probably still be a member here long after both my ankles and knees are gone for good.
A. M.
It is at a good location, staff are friendly and helpful. Their classes are excellent, I would recommend most especially the circuit classes on Mondays and Tuesdays - excellent instructors.
Improvements for me would be to add a steam room to their facilities considering you are paying the price of a premium gym and to also stay open for longer on the weekends!
N. S.
Great outdoor swimming pool in the center of London. Also a bit of a sun trap in the summer.
P. J.
The centre seems adequate and clean. We used the outdoor heated pool in May of 2017; the bottom and the sides of the pool were showing dark mold spots and black particles were floating, as a staff member was fishing them out as we swam. The change rooms were clean and spacious.
J. C.
A great pool and rarity for the city.
It's a bit basic - the lockers eat 20p each time so shower before opening up to change! The pool clock is almost invisible so easy to overrun and they don't sell stuff so if you forget your swimmers you're stuffed.
C. M.
I've been swimming there for a year and think its a good facility, nice pools and friendly staff.
It has two 25m pools, one indoor and one outdoor, both with 3 lanes and I've enjoyed being able to swim outdoors in the centre of the London. Both pools are kept reasonably clean, you can't expect spotlessness from an outdoor pool and at a comfortable temperature.
At peak times it can get a bit busy, at peak I think there were 5 people in the fast lane and more in the other lanes. But with two pools you can choose the emptier of the two and at non-peak times I've had a whole lane to myself for an hour.
The changing rooms are nice, spacious lockers, 20p a go, normally enough showers, swimsuit dryer and a member of staff always in the changing rooms keeping them clean.
There were always freindly staff at reception and I was helpfully signed up very painlessly.
M. S.
A great location and a good price. The gym is well equipped, with friendly members (a very important quality!), and the Oasis outside swimming pool is a gem among the urban sprawl. I go more than thought I would, and actually look forward to it! Say what?
L. H.
I like this pool and used to come here a lot, because the location is great, particularly if you are around Holborn or Soho. There are indoor and outdoor pools. The locker rooms have been renovated. The pools are average and sometimes need more cleaning. You will need 20p for the locker (non-refundable).
H. W. (.
I love this pool. What could be more fun than a heated outdoor swimming pool in the heart of London?! It's the unexpectedness of its location that makes it particularly unusual but it's also just a decent, good value pool in general. It's heated to a good temperature so even if it's cold and raining it's nice to go for a swim, and you're unlikely to have to jostle for space in bad weather! There is also an indoor pool so you're covered either way (so to speak)
R. K.
The outdoor pool here is great.
S. P.
I am satisfied with the swimming pool overall - great facilities in the centre of London. However, on the day I visited it, the swimming pool itself was quite dirty.
Also, the members of staff at reception were quite rude to the customer in front of me.
P.S. Lockers are not free and make sure you have coins to use one, 20p.
J. W.
Gym is pretty decent, a bit basic and perhaps could do with the odd upgraded machine or just making sure the screens on the machines work properly but it's friendly enough to visit and although small, never seems to get to queuing point.
Changing rooms have 8 cubicals roomy enough for two people, the rest of the room is communial. Towels can be rented, lockers can be rented (you don't get your 20p back though) the changing room also has several showers and a set of GHDs to use for free.
Showers are pretty much the best of the Better gyms (they don't shut off after 10 seconds and damage your wrists trying to repeatedly press it back on again!) But they are faddy and will run cold all of a sudden.
The pool is out-door- I've not tried it myself but it seems very popular and has a strong clique of friendly girls/women who use it often.
Staff are very helpful and friendly- even if you end up staying later than the gyms opening hours!! The only issues I'd say downgraded my rating would be the machines in the gym and the showers not always working properly.
A. H.
What an absolute gem of a health club! Right in the centre of London, who would have thought they'd find such a beautiful pool outdoors on a rooftop in Covent Garden? The outdoor pool looks absolutely beautiful in the evenings with steam rising from it. I used the gym which is spacious and has some quality kit - love the addition of the green lights on the top floor which make it seem very trendy and modern. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a top class gym and pool at a reasonable price.
Χ. Γ.
Great showers and locker rooms, good pools and it's good that there are 2 pools so that you can have the choice to choose one or the other when it's busy in one.
Great location 5 minutes from Covent Garden on foot
G. M.
Great place to come for an outdoor swim in Central London. Situated on a roof top in Covent Garden this leisure centre is great place to come, the pool is heated and it's fun to swim outside in the middle of winter.
For £5.05 you get a swim, just remember it will cost you an extra 20p every time you open your locker. There are also a few lockers that use a padlock so if you happen to have one big enough then you can store your stuff without paying. The pool is a reasonable size and goes to over 3m in the deep end, giving you the opportunity to dive in if you like.
The pool has flats on one side and an office on the other. There isn't much space around the pool area, but there is a terrace up a set of stair and an area towards the back of the pool where there is more space to put a towel and sit in the sun when you come out (that's if it isn't winter or you may want to leg it back inside).
K. G.
The Oasis Sports Centre is well known in central London for two things: 1) it has an outdoor pool and 2) it is a bit rough around the edges. During the time I was a member, the changing rooms were some of the worst I've seen, but I believe they are now in the middle of an upgrade which will hopefully improve things. In terms of facilities, it does the job well with two pools, a well-equipped gym, regular classes and squash courts. However, the customer service has been consistently uninspiring and they *never* answer the phone. Overall, it's good for a decent lunch-time workout if you're in offices nearby, but don't expect any of the luxuries you'd see in a Virgin Active gym or similar!
r. c.
The staff at the Oasis are great whenever I come in; there is normally a regular member of staff on duty: Val, Danielle or Matthew, or a regular weekend member of staff (young lady who wears head scarf). They are always so very friendly and helpful, and make time to greet and engage with me and others when they come in, or have a question. The instructors in the gym like Angelos and the young lady withe black pony tail (can't remember her name right now) and those who do the classes, Sean and Peter and Derrick whose classes i attend regularly. My only other comment about classes is that Sandra who does zumba class lacks the appeal of an class instructor; the classes are very staid and uninspiring. Duty manager Tony Cox is always willing to take time to talk to customers and listen. It has a lovely outdoor pool, which for the centre of London is fantastic. I think it is very good value for money The gym equipment is in good order, and most of the time staff are on hand to give advice. Until recently staff were very thin on the ground in the gym. There are, however, quite a lot of gym users stuck on their phones, and it becomes quite bland as people do not want to engage. I think the mobile phone policy should make it clear that they should not be brought into the gym. I don't know what i would do if the Oasis did not exist. I have met so many good friends here in the gym, poll and the classes. It really is an oasis in a busy central London location. Your staff at the Oasis are your greatest asset, along with the facilities in the centre. Thank you and keep up the great work.
M. A.
I’ve used the swimming pool today, I must say I’ve found the locker very dirty after I’ve picked up my clothes (white spots on my clothes and odour)! I hope the gym will clean the lockers up regularly! So be aware before you put your clothes into the lockers!
S. C.
Great, friendly gym in the heart of London town. The facilities are very good; 2 swimming pools, a spacious gym across two floors and good range of classes with motivating class instructors. Highly recommend it!
A. B.
I have been a member for 8 months and this is an excellent gym for anyone who swims as part of their training/workout, also wants machine resistance training, cardio and some free weights, and perhaps the odd game of squash (I am by no means an expert on squash courts however). Having 2 pools (one indoor, one year-round outdoor) means the water is rarely crowded (although it would be helpful to know when the indoor pool will be used for classes b/c of the lane restrictions). The staff are very friendly and helpful (four stars for the staff).
This won't be a pampered, more-money-than-sense experience for those used to high street gyms, but if you're serious about keeping fit or in training, want something spacious, functional and well equipped (the free weight collection isn't fantastic but it is very good and you can't have everything), I would highly recommend Oasis.
A. S.
2 brilliant pools (I usually use the one indoors), lots of athletes training, great, tidy and spacious changing room with great showering and hair drying facilities. Only downside is that swimming cap is not obligatory and I often see and touch hair in the water that I find disgusting.
S. C.
Only using the pool so I can't review the rest but for a swimming pool used this much I find it quite clean and it doesn't smell too much chlorine as other places do. The only downside I think is the 20p lockers, you cannot bring your own lock and always have to pay 20p to lock your stuff the website says they have also 1gbp locks where they give you the 1£ back but those are not available.
N. H.
A decent and well-run centre with both indoor and outdoor heated pools. Open late into the evening during the week for an after-work swim. Certain parts are becoming rather tired and in need of an overall refurb but the changing areas have had a relatively recent spruce up and are spacious enough. Men's changing toilets DO need a very deep clean/ripping out and starting again. Showers are laid out in an inward facing square without booths so those of a more modest persuasion take note.
For the hottest central London days there are sun deck areas to the rear of the open-air pool and a large upstairs deck above the indoor pool which are very popular with those looking to catch some rays, though between the windswept concrete and the buildings looming over you do get the impression of holidaying in a crumbling ex-soviet state resort. Shut your eyes, soak up the sunshine and smile. Reception staff are friendlier than in some Better centres I have been to. For the membership fee I regard this as a bit of a central London hidden gem - don't tell everyone!
K. K.
The staff were very kind and helpful to us. We really enjoyed our swim. Easy to go in as a one-time customer, and a lovely thing to do when you're in London.

Good spot for squash, swimming (indoors and outdoors pool) and gym. Clean changing rooms/showers and recently renovated squash courts (3). Water fountain and little shop/breakout area on site.
Only downside is that the place closes at 10, and last available squash slot is 9.20-10pm, which means you are rushed out right after your game which can be a bit annoying.
M.
Great swimming pool, lots of space. Showers qnd changing rooms always clean
M. F.
Adore the heated out door pool. Now there is an outdoor sauna too!! 😲😍 Only draw back is this is a very old building so can smell a bit damp in some parts and water doesn't taste very good. Things that are understandable in London and don't matter with everything else they offer!!
B.
Daniela who works in the sports centre as their on site beautician is one of the BEST for waxing I have ever had. Wonderfully efficient, professional and has a great technique. I have been going to her regularly for almost a year now and am never disappointed. Highly recommend a*
J. S.
Great location (right bang in the heart of the West End) for an outdoor pool & rooftop terrace. Staff is friendly and opening hours are good (for a London pool).
Not for the squeamish though - changing rooms are old and a bit dingy and the outdoor pool should be cleaned a bit more regularly.
S. V.
If all you are looking for is a simple swim then this is great. Outdoor heated pool is a gem, and you can always zip into the indoor pool if you wish. Not as smart as newer facilities but hey ... I was there for a swim and this did just fine. Lovely clean pool and very helpful staff.
J. G.
Just had a dip in the outdoor pool and then spent the rest of the day sunbathing! Amazing in central london!
Didn't use the gym but popped in to have a look, staff seem really friendly and approachable.
Would definitely recommend.
A. O.
Still going strong after all these years. Very popular, central fitness centre, strategically located close to the City. Standard facilities, well maintained. A favourite are the two pools, indoor and outdoor. State of the art gymn too.
A. S.
The environment is really calm and good to practice
l.
Average gym with two pools, an outdoor and indoor. Don't expect a virgin active quality but also it's cheaper if you just get the gym pass or swimming pass, otherwise it's fairly expensive since only Camden residence have discount. Apart from that gym has mostly all stuff in fairly well conditions. Swimming pools are bit dirty sometimes.
V. B.
Didn't like this pool nor the facilities. First of all there wasn't hot water so impossible to shower during winter time. The pool is quite dated and small. But the worst is the changing area, smell like urine and wasn't clean. Have been to better pools for less price. Won't go again.
S. B.
Swimming facilities are very good....rack in the shower cubicle is a luxury for a Better franchise. However women's swim isn't completely women as the guards were male, there were windows where passer bys can look over and they do look and is surrounded by what looks like a council estate.
T. C.
Decent gym, nice pools.
K. R.
Amazing sports centre in the middle of the city. The outdoor pool is lovely, there’s an indoor pool, a big gym, squash courts and exercise classes too. They’ve also added an outdoor sauna recently too which is a real treat! Definitely worth a visit!
v. s.
I visited Oasis one winter afternoon after travelling down to London to a nearby event, and what a little gem! Spent two lush hours swimming up and down in the outdoor pool, what a treat to be able to do that in february! Staff were fab, really friendly and helpful with advice on how to get back to the station afterwards. The cafe was a nice place to relax in later.Good for training in the daytime,or a visit straight from work would be ideal. The centre had a warm friendly atmosphere from staff to chatty centre users-highly recommended !
G. W.
Super friendly staff , especailly pool attendants a real contrast to some of the other Better centres I have visited , a few gripes , slow swimmers should be asked to move into the slow lane by pool attendants , they clog up the fast lane , plus , elderly gentlemen using the changing room as a place to chat and socialise, totally ignoring social distancing rules and totally oblivious to people that want to keep safe , I had my clothes moved in order for one of the gentlemen to sit nearer his friends, something should be done about this as there is no point having swimming times otherwise, one star off for the patrons, not the staff or facilities
J. J.
Really well priced gym facility in central London, reasonable equipment with the usual range of cardio equipment, free weights, resistance weights and two swimming pools inside and outside. Not too busy at peak times outside of January either!
S. S.
You can find there a big heated swimming pool. This is a nice idea and can be beneficial for your health. You can combine a normal training with an hour of swimming.
We all know that swimming improves our flexibility, posture and balance. And it is a fact that you can burn a lot of calories, without putting a lot of effort or pressure on your muscles.
In order to reduce the level of stress in your life, spend several hours in this centre.
You can meet many new friends there too.
J. H.
Affordable central London swimming pool (£5.80) with both indoor and outdoor pools. Showers in the women's changing are fantastic (hot and great pressure) but the changing rooms smelled distinctly funky...
N. k.
Nice indoor and outdoor pools, both heated ..... even though it’s super busy after work you can still get a good swim in
Big changing rooms means you not bumping into ppl
B. P.
I love my gym so much. I've been a member here for the last few months and I already feel great about my body. The atmosphere is great for a quality training and the equipment seem new and well-maintenanced.
H. K.
The swimming pool is nice but I would prefer if it’s more refurbished
M. M.
My experience was overall pretty good, the two pools were not dirty and will definitely come back, but I hope next time the sauna is open.
B. S.
Nice gym and outdoor & indoor swimming pool. During busy periods there are too many people in the changing room, but that's how it is. You need 20pence to operate the lockers.
V. S.
I cannot believe I have just found this place after 5 years of working and living in Central London. I was at the outdoor swimming pool on Friday and it was a great experience. Fantastic atmosphere and staff! Looking forward to coming back!
L. J.
Love this gym, has a lot of equipment and a very good range. Large changing rooms but you need 20p for lockers.
H. J.
A gem: two good sized pools (25m and 27m), one of them outdoors and heated. Staff helpful and friendly. Right in the middle of London (at the end of Shaftesbury Avenue)
A. C.
Municipal style pool, small and building around are very run down inc changing rooms and access points
P. R.
Decent indoor pool in a good location. Non-refundable 20p cost for lockers is a bit cheeky, but somewhat mitigated by free liquid soap in the showers.
C. G.
I’m the kind of person that gets really excited about going to the gym at first and after a few times I just lose enthusiasm. But not in Oasis Sports Centre. Something here is so welcoming that makes want to come back, so I do it. Strongly recommended.
L. T. L.
Can’t wait to get the summer started and back to Oasis my local pool great swimming and sun terrace, heated pool ! This year I will sign up
As a member and enjoy it from April - October it’s a real gem in the middle of this hectic busy city 💖
P. H.
Very well organised, safe, warm and friendly. Lovely pool, atmosphere and helpful staff. Couldn't fault it!
L. H.
Outdoor pool very nice on a warm day and a good price for a single swim session. Place could do with a revamp especially the changing rooms
D. C.
Maintaining a healthy and fit body is essential these days and that is why a lot of my free time are spent at Oasis Sports Centre. I have been their client for months already and I will always be there loyal customer because of their great services and equipments.
G.
2014/12/15 FREE MEMBERS WIFI HAS NEVER WORKED, yet they refuse to fix or turn it off, frustrating dozens of people everyday I'm sure :-( Come on GLL, sort it out.
An outdoor pool in central London? Yes and its very professionally run. The staff are attentive & well presented. One of London's best pools.
a. s.
Great pools but pool heater was on and off but has been fixed since as well as the suana bieng closed for matience but still a lovely centre
J. S.
Love the outdoor pool. Two pools - one indoors and one outdoors. Don’t forget to bring 20p for the lockers - although they will make change
H.
Great experience, nice to come from the busy street to the calmer place, and sauna is a great idea at the outdoor pool, but cannot see cleaners on the weekend in the changing rooms.
R. M.
Great value for membership price. Squash, pool(s), sauna, decent gym floor, and friendly staff and regulars. Join Better :)
E. S.
Hamilton's HIIT class and Anna-Maria's spin class are amazing! They are such positive and motivating instructors
L. P.
The recent refurbishment has done wonders for this once tired sports centre. I love an outdoor swim but was chased by a swan when attempting it in the ponds on Hampstead Heath and rather put off. The heated outdoor pool close to Tottenham Court Road is absolutely the best of both worlds. At times it can be hard to drag myself out of the pool.
A. C.
Go there to play squash regularly. Kind of pricey for a court but you'd expect that as one of the most central leisure centres in London. Generally clean and well run
A. R.
Great gym, however the male changing rooms are pretty rank. The pools are decent but busy at peak times.
R. A.
Lovely outdoor pool and great value for money
J. L.
Better than is was a few years ago - it’s now generally clean. Nice to have a heater outdoor pool open all year.
R. H.
love this gym , quick and efficient . Right next to my office. The equipment are top range . Definitely get a good work out it.
D. S.
An average, slightly dated pool and facilities but in a great location. Can be overcrowded at times and lessons are often run during peak times making the situation worse. Still better than any other option around.
G. L.
I like to swim and it is something like my way of livin. These guys offer 2 swimming pools where you can swim all year around at great prices. The pools are clean and the water is always at great temperature for swimming.
C. J.
Good indoor and outdoor pools and a well stocked gym (note there is no natural light in the gym).
Only suggestion would be better placed water fountains.
D. V.
I visited the Daniela Beauty and simply loved it. About the pool or other facilities I have not much opinion about it as I didn't tried, but the pool seem really pleasant.
D. A.
Cheap,( if you are member) good have all in one swimming pool, gym and fitness classes and is very convenient city centre!
R. T.
London's best kept secret! Changing rooms are very good- great showers, clean, separate booths and Cossie dryer plus working hair dryers!
j. b.
Great value. Good range if facilities and classes. Indoor and outdoor pool. Squash courts. A little rough round the edges. But for the price, good value.
J. L.
The whole facility is old and tired. Needs proper refurbishment. Plus the 20p for lockers. Just add to price and use reusable token or nothing. So much easier
A. H.
Where else would you be able to swim in the West End?? The pool was cool, which made the hot shower even more pleasing. A great way to relax in the centre of the city for an hour.
A. C.
Old and a little bit falling apart though it has two pools (one outdoor) and three squash courts. Fine but only use it if it's convenient.
O. B.
The only outdoor pool in the center of London. Nice staff too. It can get busy in the evening though.
A. C.
Like every gyms, there are good and bad things but the bad is outweighed by the good. You can’t have everything and for the location and the price you pay as a visitor, I think you get a lot.
A. B.
Enjoy outdoor swimming anytime of the year on the edge of Soho and the West End.
R.
Very nice gym but the staff clearly hates working there. Chaning rooms are Victorian feels you are dirtier once you left.
A. L.
Great for gym swim and freshen up before a night out on the town in central London, saves travelling all the way home after work. They provide towels.
E. C.
Amazingm. fara is an amazing worker
L. V.
Great service especially from your deeply empathic Sri lankan receptionist. Deep love.
D. C.
I love the outdoor pool and the aqua aerobics classes. The staff are very friendly
s. h.
The whole place needs a clean and better staffing
I. B.
I think your tutor, Elena, is excellent and very inspiring. Although Covent Garden is not my local or home centre, I book classes with Elena at Covent Garden whenever my schedule allows me to.
A. N.
This is my favourite sports center, the heated outdoor pool is more than great. It is always clean and the tempreture is perfect for swimming.
p. k.
They have a warm pool!!! And the swimmers are usually serious swimmers except me... I love it.
J. T.
Decent size, doesn't get too crowded, good selection of equipment but should have more barbell cages instead of smith machines
P. P.
A nice outdoor pool in the heart of London with a sauna. Gets really busy in the summer but winter months is brilliant.
S. B.
It was very busy when I went. But I still managed to get a swim.
N. V.
Amazing place in central london to get some tan in this summer. Great after work or in the weekends. I especially like the sun garden upstairs.
L. L.
The gym is good, swimming pool is nice, just the showers that are a bit dirty.
T. F.
The pool and staff are great, the app and booking system not so much....
C. D.
Heated outdoor swimming pool, really lovely and helpful staff. High quality classes - especially pilates and swim training.
C. B.
Great location, friendly welcome.. tidy gym, lots of equipment, and social members.. Carlo your PT is especially amazing and knowledgeable.
P. H.
Very good pool
A. N.
Good price and value for money.
I mostly use the centre to play squash and there is usually good availability of courts.
h. r.
It is absolutely a marvellous sport center where you will able to swim in out door and in door pool . Also you can play scowash here.
E. P.
Nice pool, not too busy. Sauna outside by the pool - good for warming up
D. H.
I only go here for the outdoor pool - if it weren't for that, I'd never go. The changing rooms always feel dirty and are too small for the number of people coming through.
C. H.
Indoor and heated outdoor pool - great experience... £5.80 for a swim. Grab 20p for lockers
G. S.
Great gym and swimming pools, could be a bit cleaner but fair price.
S. T.
I only use the pools but there are two, one outside and heated all year around. There are also sunbathing areas.
S. H.
The outside pool is beautiful, especially in the summer. All staff super friendly!
M. J.
The easiest way to get fit without any injury is swimming. These guys offered me very good training scheme and I really feel the improvement.
J. P.
Outdoor and indoor swimming pool. Convenient web site to book activities, nice staff. Nothing to complain!
I.
Finally! Proper pools(indoor 25m and outdoor 30m) and shower where you can regulate hot and cold water mix!
E.
Nice staff, sadly no pool to just chill in. Only for swimmers. So its not s good place for kids
L. J.
lovely stuff. Perfect place to go in summer
D.
First time today it truly is an oasis from the chaos of central London great pool friendly staff wish I’d started going years ago
J. H.
Best pool in London. Great vibe and great location. Top pub nextdoor for those who enjoy a half.
d. t.
Came here for the unique outdoor swimming pool experience in London, and it didn't disappoint
T. B.
Good value swim membership in central London. All year round outdoor pool a big plus.
S. M.
Good gym and with two pools... one outdoor. Not bad for being so central.
c. g.
Good all round gym. Always clean and tidy.
S. C.
Customer service is such a hit and miss there, while some people goes the extra mile all the time to make you feel comfortable... Others seem far too busy working hard trying to prove customers wrong
J. W.
I am not the greatest sport, I am not very into schedule and timetable and discipline is important! However I enjoy swimming and I come here every time I feel like it!
L. R.
Great facilities - heated outdoor pool, Squash courts + sauna !!!
G. M.

I. S.
A must if you're here on work and stressed out. Heated outdoor pool open til 9. Amazing!
A. H.
I like the outdoor swimming pool. Maybe needs some refreshment, because everything is old and a bit dirty. But I hope it will be repaired soon.
N.
Lanes are a bit small. Can’t beat the central location!
R. W.
Great pools and very conscious of social distancing
S. C.
Good indoor and outdoor pools and a well stocked gym
M. G.
Outdoor swimming in the heart of London all year long thanks to a heated pool: awesome for those who want to feel living in a town for once

Lost at squash but apart from that it's a solid choice.

(Translated) When tired of being tired of a tour of the British Museum, you will walk around Holborn, head to Endell street and don't be afraid to plunge into the waves of the Oasis sports center, which is extensively renovated like a swimmer in Prague Podolí ... you will have a wonderful rest and it is not expensive plus it really has an atmosphere of 30 years .....
So sometimes somewhere with Jenda Studnička for good water
