Reviews of Queensbridge Sports and Community Centre
O. L.
Nice venue. Receptionist was friendly, toilets were clean. Water fountain and contactless vending machines available.
D. C.
Community centre for 0 - 100. Valuable space for Dalston residents. Accessible to anyone.
L. M.
I joined just before the first lockdown last year so can't comment on the changing rooms/showers BUT
My experience has been great.
After a difficult search for a small and un-intimidating gym - I've found the perfect community place that genuinely feels like it's for everyone.
They have coped with the pandemic really well and adapted accordingly.
The staff are always friendly.
A good inclusive vibe, and never too crowded.
K. L.
Soft play not widely advertised and at 5.75 for a 2 hour session not a bad price. It's quiet despite the biting cold outside perhaps there is something better on nearby I don't know about?

WOUNDERFUL SPORT CENTRE YOU CAN SPECK WITH STAFFS GOOD AND FRIENDLY...
T. T.
A very good facility. Friendly and always helpful staff. Lockers, money returnable. Good shower and changing facilities. Loved that there was liquid soap and hand moisturiser in the ladies lav. A view onto the street in the gym - daylight is always a plus. Very well provisioned for a community gym - I haven't seen any wheelchair users in the gym as yet so I'm not certain whether it is disabled access - I hope so. Not too testosterone fuelled, although I find that the music is a bit loud sometimes particularly during the group cycle sessions. Nonetheless, highly recommended.

Great gym and fitness classes at amazing value - but alongside this comes absolutely hideous customer service.
Gym appears to go uncleaned for extended periods of time and toilets regularly left blocked for days at a time as well as the soap often being empty! Terrible hygiene
V. P.
For the price, this gym is a good deal. It's nearly always empty (especially before work, normally after work too) - I have never waited to use any equipment! For approx £22 a month, in London, this is a steal. However for this price you have slightly annoying opening hours (not feasible before work or weekends pre-10am), slightly dirty changing rooms (I wouldn't shower there if I were you) and some cardio machines not always working. But even so, I'd recommend this gym for someone living nearby as it's good value for money!
O. J.
Great local gym! Good quality equipment and very clean. Staff are also very helpful. Would be 5 stars if it opened a little earlier (maybe 6am in the week) and ran more classes (there is a very high demand).
S. C.
The staff there are very friendly and the centre is very welcoming I would give this 5 stars but today I had a bad experience.
A regular to the gym facilities, the manager noticed I wasn't wearing my band and instead of asking me himself he had his staff ask me, stating I could have been in another class and might not have paid for the gym. I get free access with my membership I might add to all classes, I noticed a few ppl not wearing the band.
I felt very unhappy and judged poorly by management based on what!? My appearance?..

Updated review:
Can someone bother to find the cleaning cupboard?... sadly this centre has gone downhill in the last year and a half with what seem apathetic staff and nobody interested in doing any cleaning which when I asked is part of the staff job. I’ve been taking photos over the last couple of months just to document the fact that nothing seems to been cleaned for a very long time which in a gymnasium something one is generally quite keen on happening... it’s a shame and disappointment because it’s not a big job and doesn’t need to be done hourly but maybe at least daily or every other day as opposed to what seems not even annually. See my review below from over a year ago when it had its refresh.
My local gym...I’m old enough to remember when this area the Hollywell Estate, demolished 25 years ago, thankfully..great new gym with machines and free weights plus spin class and other classes. A proper community centre. I use regularly and recommend (but please don't come early eve as I don't want it too busy when I'm there! :-)
P. I.
Good level of cleanliness, well equipped, sporting a full length court for 5-a-side and basketball. Has a spinning class deck and cardio area.
Small number of machines and tiny free weight area.
Opens at 7:00 and is scarcely populated early in the morning.
TL;DR - great for cardio or classes like spinning or yoga. Not great for free-weight, but enough to do what you need.

The way i smashed Dee and Aarif at badminton 2v1 is amazing. This place is magical i would recommend.

It's not the sports I love here, but the Health Garden which is run by Kate. She squatted the garden 5 yrs ago and welcomes anyone who wants to drop in to have a cup of tea or make a little cactus garden. Young or old, everyone is welcome at the Health Garden to chat, weed, plant....a little bit of heaven in the day to day bustle of city life 💖

Local and convenient Gym for me.
I can't work out why the lockers always seem to be in use though!
(I am reading Ben Macintyre's spy stories atm, so I have lots of ideas about 'dead drops' etc!!!)

The Sharp Edge classes for over 50s are fantastic and a lot of fun: an amazing local facility. On the negative side the reception staff can be a bit ... blank. And what a difference a cafe would make (but we can dream)!
J. K.
Staff very polite at the entrance, and clean as expected in this challenging time.
Many thanks to all.
L.
The Gym is always nice and cool. The equipment is clean and the users put them back where they belong after use instead of leaving them lying around.

I visit regularly with my school kids to play football after school. Good size hall and facilities. The areas are generally clean and the staff are great!
J. M.
Been going here for 12 years now. Great place to play badminton! All (but one, you know who you are mr serious and grumpy) of the staff members are part of what make this centre so amazing :)
h. k.
I attended one off class but was really impressed by the facility, its a new facility so the place looks great.. the equipments are new and upgraded.. It is too good for the price paid.
M. C. F.
I used over 50 group activities for about 4 months. I never felt comfortable: all white, all old miserable women. I will never go there IF they don't put diversity (sex and culture)
M. A.
Took my son for a round of Badminton, was near by, staff were helpful and pleasent, basic but funtional space, prices are reasonable, could improve organisation a bit, will be returning.
J. G.
Good Badminton facilities. Gym is quite small. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility is well maintained.

Had to borrow one from kids playing outside ...yes ..i know but it punctured
R. G.
It's a small gym with a nice quiet vibe. Not too loud and awful music.
