Reviews of Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre
M. B.
Went here for a birthday party. It was great they sectioned a portion of the rink off while a coach taught them a few basic techniques for those who hadn't been on the ice before. Party room was basic but ok. It had a sink and microwave if needed.
N. I.
Kids love it, had a birthday party and all the kids love it. Not very busy as well.
R. C.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Ice is maintained fairly well. Hire skates are not great... sometimes blunt sometimes OK - They don't get them sharpened regularly enough.
J. M.
Loved it. We had so much fun on the ice rink. Professional service. Thank you
j. c.
Had a great time. Parked in the massive supermarket next door. Kids had an hour on the ice (initially fairly empty and then became quite crowded but still safe). At the end did a quick shop and went home. All good.
A. V.
i am really happy about this ice rink , i used to go to QUEENS but it's crowded , you have to pay 2 pounds cloakroom and the ice is not good to skate on. Streatham is great cause the ice rink is big, you have lockers working with one pound coin and the ice is great,
C.
Perfectly flat ice, big rink and not too many people. Good price per hour. I believe its made for proper ice hockey matches. Waaaay better than your privately owned ice rinks with bumpy ice haha
s. k.
My kid realy enjoys the soft play and it is very nice that it's not overcrouded. Just after going there few times and see all the same rubish brushed in thw corner and left with some popcorn and many other things is not nice to see. The kid is picking up all those rubish and trying to put in his mouth... very dirty interesting if such a place doesn't have a cleaner or the room is just skiped at most of rhe times.
M. H.
Great rink. Amazing hockey team. Always worth paying. Bar near the ice. Amazing atmosphere.
R. M.
A recent family swim found everything working and open, with the facilities looking rather clean and new.
The cafe was open and was doing a great bit of business.
n. i.
Great fun and atmosphere. I did find the skates bit too big and uncomfortable and so maybe I'll bring my own next time.
G. N.
Such a great atmosphere. Completely addictive ... The rink was clean and well maintained. The staff were so friendly .. we can't wait to come back.
K. R.
The ice rink is great, but I wish they would let you know when you book if part of the rink is going to be closed off during the public sessions

Perfect ice rink, though I wish they had evening public sessions.

As much fun as it was when I was 10 years ago! Better have done a great job at combining multiple activities under one roof at streatham. Remember to book online or you might have access issues. Staff are helpful and polite.
E.
Great ice rink facilities with skate hire. Clean building and helpful staff.
M. S.
Still having some issues with the betterhealth booking system, but very helpful and friendly staff at reception!
I. D. P.
Just fantastic. Family time.
E. L.
Really nice sized ice rink. Good facilities. Costs £7.50 to skate plus £2.00 skate hire. Skate boots hurt foot though after skating. Spectator area with lots of seating. Toilets clean. Nice vibes.
K. G.
The skating was fun however the skates are a tad worn out, the inner soles are knackered and the straps/tongues are not the best and dig into you. You either have to have them tight and be in pain or loose and risk them sliding
realistically need either repairing or replacing

Streatham Leisure Centre which reopened in 2013 has an amazing 60 by 30 metre ice rink, 25 metre pool, gym and studios and offer all sorts of fitness classes. I really like it there. It is true that it can get a bit busy late afternoon at reception but I guess once you are signed up and have your card that won't bother you.

This Sports centre has got everything hockey, pools, gym, parking next to Tesco stores.
J. R.
This gym used to be well below standard but now with the new developments - they have definitely raised the bar!
During lockdown it's quite spaced out and airy which I appreciate.
The equipment is of good quality and the range of cardio machines is also decent.
The swimming pool is long and can help with rehabilitation resistance exercises or give you a great swim.
Overall I am impressed with how far they have come.

A lovely ice rink but a bit slippy.

Visited for skating, facilities are great and the ice is well maintained. There is plenty of space and the hire skates are generally ok, though never found these to be comfortable. There is an on-site skate shop who sell new and used skates, both figure and ice hockey style and let me try them, ensuring I had a good fit. Though skate hire is £3, these felt like a great investment as I can now skate for much longer without having to rest my feet!
The only thing that would be great to improve is there are a number of fantastic skates who have the skill to zip in and out, however this can make novice skates a little nervous. I also saw someone skating with headphones which breaks the rules so I would be great if the marshals were a little more vigilant for this.
Marshals were great when people take a tumble so I did feel that they were watching out for safety.
I enjoy skating here and have always had a positive experience, and find it great for the younger skaters we take with us.
R. R.
Great facilities, good price on skate hire, great for children and adults alike, would recommend.
L. N.
Overall, I have found staff to be friendly and helpful. However, I note that one of the promotion slogans for Better is that it places people before profits. My experience has not always reflected this - there has been poor cleanliness in studios which do not seem to be attended to either regularly or thoroughly; some toilets have been out of order and not
accessible now, for the third week; lack of equipment such as chairs where and when needed meaning users and instucters have had to go in search of to them. More staff required so that there is consistent attention to maintaining the necessary high standard of cleanliness etc., at all times
Z. L.
Great fun day out, once and a while thing.
H. L.
The pool is a good size but the changing rooms and toilets could be cleaner and the staff on the front desk are consistently unfriendly and always look bored.
J. D.
Very good leisure centre. Great facilities for children and adults. Swimming classes for adults and children with a smaller pool for infant and younger swimmers. Great sports hall and gym. Friendly staff who are very helpful! The only thing I would request is a creche for children aged over 7. There is a creche for under 5 year olds but nothing for children over 5. Despite this, it is a really nice centre!
M. K.
Good facilities that are kept clean. Gym classes book out very quickly, usually not long after they go up at 10pm the week before. There is a local ice hockey team that plays here too, and they are really good fun to go and watch.
The pool is a reasonable 25m. Good for kids. It has lanes as well, but they are usually quite crowded, and the pool is probably a little on the warm side for serious lane swimming.
C. C.
An excellent ice rink with all the required facilities. Would be nice if they were open more in the evenings for adult/serious skaters to improve their training and practice. Looking forward to it re-opening after this Covid 19 pandemic
A. T.
Once you get your admission ticket, you can head up to the ice skating rink. We went there right before the opening, so we were able to enjoy fresh ice! They also have a skate shop where you can have your skates sharpened. There is also a food stand if you want to grab a quick bite, get a hot dog, burger or a drink.
A. K.
Couldn't always access the equipment needed or wanted at the time - class sizes are not too big. Equipment is generously spaced out and you have the feel of a good all round gym.
O. O.
I use the gym. Reasonably priced. Well laid out with social distancing in mind. Always adequate and available equipments.
J. P.
Have been coming here on and off for a year now. Ice rink is excellent, not really interested in such things but as a facility it seems great and other people I know love it. Pool is good, a little too warm in my opinion, and the number of school lessons during term time means if you're just there to lane swim it can be too busy to get much done even during the day. Changing areas are average but staff are diligent about cleaning. Gym has a good variety of equipment, could use a few more multi-purpose free weight aids - a dedicated squat rack is sorely needed, as the Smith machine tends to get monopolised for ages. - EDIT - OK WE'RE UP TO FIVE STARS NOW, LOADS OF FREE WEIGHTS AND BETTER MACHINES ADDED, AND SOME POWER CAGES! - Perhaps there's too many cardio machines? Rare to see them full, though perhaps I'm not going at the peak times. Cafe is serviceable, coffee was pretty standard, a few more healthier options would be appreciated. My experience with the front desk staff has always been positive, they're normally polite and cheerful (they once let me leave, go home and come back into the pool when I forgot my trunks). The pricing isn't particularly competitive, especially for the gym/swim membership, but you do get classes thrown in, so if you're smart about booking (they fill up fast in the evenings) you can certainly get your money's worth. Better value for money that Fitness First.

my first time skating
Nice place ❤
S. C.
They have re-modernised this place and it looks good. My children completed their swimming lessons here. Gym is good, fully packed with the latest gear. Never tested the ice rink but was told by other members of the public that it was good. Well worth a visit.
A. J.
Good facilities, incompetent management - double bookings being their stock in trade. And that was before COVID close down.
Hopefully as part of social distancing measures the double booking problem will be sorted when they start hiring out the Sports Hall again.
M. A.
Great family fun for everyone, you can go there every week the facilities are good. The front desk staff could be friendlier although the guy at the skates is a top bloke. The instructors are good but the classes are too short.
If you know how to skate it's a great place to go.
D. A.
Great afternoon out..skate hire available and they were sharp. Easy to park. We had fun.
M. F.
My son goes every week for a swimming lesson. Hard to find a good one, as alot have quit or been absent. Atilla is a good one...he is consistent. Never any soap in the ladies toilet and the cleanliness of changing rooms could be better, the floors are disgusting and some people are walking by the poolside without shoe covers
N. S.
A lot of the review here are from the previous ice arena that was demolished.
The brand new one is absolutely gorgeous - I've never played ice hockey in a better rink than this! Changing rooms are spacious and lovely, with showers etc. Plenty of space to store our kit.
Ice is very well lit, extremely high ceiling. Seating capacity of 1200 I believe, in some rather nice seating. Ice is very nice, not too brittle but not slushy either.
Absolutely would recommend to anyone wanting to attend a public skate session, play or watch hockey.
M. S.
Have only used their ice rink so cannot comment on other facilities but the rink seems very good indeed. There’s a small cafeteria downstairs (the rink is on the first floor, there’s a lift and a buggy park) with the food being of the usual, expected quality for a place like this. You can rent the skates (for about £4) but they’re not the best. (Think plastic monstrosities.) There’s a small skate shop on the premises (open mostly in the afternoons and evenings) with a really polite, knowledgeable owner, so worth having a look if you’re planning to come regularly. Public skating sessions entry costs around £7 and you can stay for 2 hours or maybe more at a time. I’m sure it can get rather busy but I’ve only been in the quiet times and can highly recommend it then.
M. S.
Ice rink is nice, lots of space to skate. There needs to be better regulation of rules, though. Not sure whether they were members of the public or staff, but regardless, they made the rink quite dangerous. I’ve been skating here for quite some time now and there’s always a group of people who skate around at like 60 mph (speeding is not allowed, by the way), with seemingly no regard to other skaters. They have a tendency to skate directly towards you and then skid to a stop, which puts off a lot of people. Not sure if they’re just doing it for show, much of the time. It frightens a lot of the kids too. I presume they’re staff as I seem to recognise a few faces when I go. A lot of people (again, not sure if they are staff or members of the public) do tricks on the rink, which is fine, but to do them in the way of other people is quite dangerous. I’ve seen a lot of people who have to move out the way last second because this person has decided to do a random spin.
All in all, a pleasant place to skate. But again, there needs to be better enforcement of the rules.
N. B. G.
I love this gym and Wioletta's classes are amazing! Quite sad she is not doing the water workout on Wednesdays anymore I hope she starts doing them again after the second lockdown is over!
M. L.
Had a great time. First time visiting with kids and we all really enjoyed it.
Staff were helpful, even if at first when we arrived the guy handing the boots was a little stressed and abrupt. And the same guy was also scatting at quite speed between people and some of the kids were a little apprehensive when he got close by.
Otherwise we spent an hour trying to keep off the ice, which it wasn't always possible.
We are already planning another visit ☺
S. S.
Has big grand entrance foyer, but then there's no changing rooms (near the pool at least) just cubicles. The whole of the changing area needs a decent clean, and half the showers are often cold. Pool is OK, if basic. Feels like its been designed on the cheap and they could have done more with the space. Good if convenient, but despite its cold changing rooms in the winter, I prefer Brixton.

This review is regarding the soft play area inside the leisure centre. On weekdays there are three sessions per day, 10-12, 1-3 and 4-6, and the age range is 0-8. There is a ball pit for 0-2s that recommends no more than 9 babies at once, presumably due to parents required to be there also. There is also a super fun play area for the 2-8 year olds which is two levels, consisting of 2 slides, a sort of mirrored maze type walkway to get to the slides, a tunnel and soft thing like a roundabout, little punch bag type things hanging down. Something that I could only call a mangle because indont know what it is called and an area with loads of softplay blocks which myself and my daughter frequently make a little assault course.
Little one absolutely loves it and i take her here regularly now.
£3.90 for a session, presumably there is a membership but i haven't yet enquired.
J. B.
I'd give 5 stars but was a little let down by the customer service at the front desk. They was a little rude and sounded bored. We asked for a helmet for my daughter but it was a no.
However the man at the rental skates desk was awesome. He asked my daughter what was wrong, she said she wanted a helmet as she was a little scared, he was like I have one right here.. Really good guy. Thank you!
F.
The ice rink is massive. The swimming pool is decent. The staff are meh. The gym is ok.

My favourite place for last 5 years! The GYM, swimming room, group classes! I love to be here! ❤️ Great location, close to the station Streatham, big Tesco in front. Good working hours!
A. B.
The ice is of good quality, and the staff were mostly friendly. However, the management is quite disorganised. I wanted to cancel my membership. They charged me for 2 extra months as that was the standard procedure after I requested the cancellation. Then, I was charged for 2 extra months after they told me they would stop charging (They told me this was because the previous staff member resigned). They then took 2 months to refund me my money. (overall, 6 months after I requested the cancellation.)
The skate shop right next to the rink, is staffed by an experienced and friendly person, and they even sell second hand stuff if you want to save some money.
D. D.
I have only been here to events, the events rooms are quite large. I have seen the Ice Skating Rink and is quite large. There is a Gym, Spinning Room etc. A Cafe to get a drink and a bit to eat, there is a car park but it is not free. Very easy to reach, plenty of bus routes and a Rail Station close by. If you like this review, can you please click the like symbol below. Thank you!
D. K.
Democratic prices, good opening times, the ice rink is spacious, except the times when they cut out a good half of it for some assisted training groups, so you should enquire about them before you come. Also a nice opportunity to skate and swim on the same day in one place. Quite a refreshing experience I should say.
G. M.
I remember the Streatham ice rink before it went under renovation and I must say I'm glad it did, it is now a fantastic, the facilities are very functional and clean. It's now a great place to spend a day attempting to stay upright on the ice whist trying to ice skate, the staff a friendly enough and are there to help whilst on the ice. I believe you can hire a small room for kids birthdays parties aswell.
N. H.
I've been here for 2 years. When it's busy it's ridiculous. Obviously a popular place. They offer a good range of classes in your gym membership but they get booked well in advance and limit the number of attendees.
They've got a good range of fitness kit, have great facilities (swimming pool, ice skating rink, indoor footy court, badminton court) spin class rooms, a dance studio and a steel cube for fitness. They've even bought in a boxing bag and they open early. You can receive discounted parking on site too.
Overall I'm very happy with this place, what lets it down are the following:
Don't bother phoning, no body answers
There's often kids running around on weekends who just don't belong there
There is only 1 smith machine
There is no squat rack, come on you can't be serious!
Some of the staff at reception could improve on customer service skills
K. S.
Occasionally has very long queues to pay to get in, but once in it is lovely for ice skating year round and the open sessions, although busy, are never uncomfortably so and you still have space to enjoy it
V. F.
Took my child and their friend here for the first time despite living close for the past 30 years!!! Not a bad place actually. First off, if you're a spectator you have to pay just over £2.00. But as a bonus! You can come out of the ice rink and go back as often as you can! Perhaps that's too buy a coffee they sell?? The ice rink was a fairly decent size. Cold! So make sure you have gloves and a hat. Half way through however they closed half the rink for ice skating classes? Not so great really, but everyone didn't seem that bothered. I drove here, so you need to park in the tesco car park which splits into two, one for the leisure centre and the other for tesco. When you leave the centre you need to go to reception to get a code which you need to put in the car park machine. As a bonus however I was given a code for free parking!! Result! Anyway, overall a good place to skate.
D. C.
This is my gym and it's a nice facility with decent pricing and class schedules; but let down by poor maintenance, mediocre hygiene, non-existant organization and dismal schedule management. The staff are friendly but classes get cancelled every week because someone doesn't show up. Wifi, water fountain, hot water, toilets, lockers, checkin computers and weight machines have all been broken in the year I've been there. Everything takes weeks to fix.
C. M.
The Leisure centre is ok from what I've seen but I've only been to the Soft Play area which I will discuss. It's ok but very dirty. I've been twice and both times my son got ill. I don't think this place is sanitized and cleaned as regularly as it should be. I am aware that this place is prone to germs but I look at the stuff and there is black dirt on them. The soft playthings are always in a pile jumbled on the floor. The floor mats are dirty, people walking with their shoes on them... no one is there monitoring what goes on. Food and drink being brought in, kids and adults barefoot walking around. Adults busy chatting and not monitoring their kids. Some kids who were clearly over 2 in the baby area shouting and throwing the balls out the pit that i couldn't put my son in there. I had him out on the mat playing and I got hit with a ball and one almost hit my son, 9mths, in the face. It's a bit too grimy for me and won't be taking my son back there.
N. G.
Great ice ring, it's so much better than the one in Guildford as not too crowded and people who come here know how to skate so one can actually skate without bumping into people. Recommend!
H. C.
The place looks lovely, but the staff let it down. I have encountered all but two of the people that work there have no social skills whatsoever, they are miserable and grumpy, maybe the managers should tell them to smile and greet people, as it obviously doesn't come naturally, and i witnessed the elderly man who works at the skate hire, moaning constantly about the noise of the children! Well he is definitely in the wrong job, maybe they need reminding that us paying customers are who are keeping them in employment.
R. S.
Nice new ice ring , my Sunday special but needs more updated ice skating boots I think.
D. C.
I haven't been skating for a while, so this was memory lane for me, hired the skates, staff very friendly, the hired skates are very used, but safe, mixture of skaters from learners little ones & professionals this place is also family friendly
H. W.
This is a far better ice rink than you will in much of the rest of the South. It's bigger, better maintained and cleaner. I play hockey here regularly and none of the other rinks ever beat it. Compared to somewhere like Bracknell, it's a beauty.
Unfortunately the ice rink toilets aren't always too clean, I wish management would sort that. The same with the lift being out of order for hockey players with bags that can't be carried. I can't comment on the rest of the leisure centre.
K. H.
There is a lot on offer at this place including a gym, sports halls, swimming pool and an ice rink. I decided to try their gym out and was not disappointed.
London gyms I have visited have been very busy and a bit cramped. Whilst the gym here isn't huge, there is space enough to move without feeling claustrophobic. It was very clean, the air con was nice and cool and there is a very friendly atmosphere. I was particular impressed by the members of staff inside the gym area itself who leave you alone if you want it, but equally offer positive, friendly advice if you seek it.
S. K.
I really like this leisure centre! It has everything you need. Excellent facilities all round, the instructors are highly trained and the staff are helpful and friendly. The only thing that I regret is that I didn’t become a member before.
R. G.
Have been ice skating here a few times, reasonably priced and skate hire is only £2. Can get very busy and would recommend mid week for adults as there is normally a lot of children on weekends and holidays.
G. C.
went for ice skating on a saturday, 3pm. only 1 hour to closing, but there was a queue for the skate hire.. got out at 4pm and the queue to return the skates was so long we sat it out eating snacks for at least half hour before it cleared a bit. Rink was very busy, but good ice. Make sure you make good time and leave earlier than closing time and it will be great. that's what I will do next time.
R. B.
The gym staff are excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable and the facilities are A1. The pool is not well run IMHO though and the staff are not very friendly or approachable. The pool is not child friendly and is about 2 degrees too cold. The ice rink is fantastic.
A. D.
This place has changed so much since the late 90s. There is a swimming pool and gym in there, large seating area downstairs. The ice rink is huge, and gets really busy. Very cold in there too. Pay downstairs first then go upstairs. Seating available around the rink, move further down away from entrance to get seats that aren't busy, you are still able to see into the rink. Staff are friendly. Kiosk right by the rink, serves slushies, huge cheeseburgers (£3.50), hot dogs (£3.50) and other nibbles. Toilets available on both floors, downstairs ones are a lot better. Giant Tesco right beside building, and bus stops too. Streatham station like 4-6mins walk if that.
T. O.
Huge gym with a good swimming pool. One of the best fitness class instructors in the area, Volkan, teaches here. The gym is usually pretty clean as gyms go, but there are a lot of kids. I've given 4 stars instead of 5 simply because there always seems to be a queue at the pull-down machine and the gym could really use a second one.
L. K. D.
I have a student membership and literally use the gym to lift weights. I always adapt to my environment and can work out literally anywhere and gain muscle. I go just after peak times in the morning and it's dead in the week, which is great.
One huge downside is that they DO NOT HAVE AN OLYMPIC SQUAT RACK. They only have assisted squat rack. This means leg day is only a little bit less intense.
Staff are mixed, some are absolutely clueless yet some genuinely try hard and know what they are there to do.
Men's changing rooms are modern and clean.
Be prepared for people to take your bench even if you have stuff there. I just angrily stare them down.

Really enjoyed my experience at the ice rink. The staff member that served us was friendly and a good laugh. Wil return for sure.
B. S.
My son enjoyed playing in the soft play area for most of the time, however we didnt like the fact that there were many children over the age of 6 (some bordering on teenagers) dominating the soft play area, whilst their parents paid no attention to their behaviour. This area needs to be monitored closely to ensure that the soft play area is for its intended use, children under the age of 6
M. A.
Loved it! Is big and very easy to access. Parking available near Tesco. The only think that might put you off are the rented ice skates. So you might want to bring your own 😁
A. B.
I am so impressed with the services provided by Better, Streatham. As a Muslim woman who covers, I am always made to feel comfortable attending fitness classes, and I am grateful for the friendly, motivational instructors. I would not hesitate to recommend the Centre to friends and family.
y. l.
Well not allowed to take photos so can't add it was Grand just ashame about lockdown unfortunately West Norwood facilities as in swimming weren't accessible so was happy with Streatham .
D. D.
I have been to the ice rink few times over the last 3 years and nothing has really changed: long queues, bored staff, basic menu at the cafe, loud unattended teenagers. Even if the ice rink is big it can get really busy and crowded. On top, the rental skates are quite worn out. But I keep going back to it because there is no other alternative near by.
M. A.
Went Ice Skating, very big indoor rink, ice was very smooth. Quite cheap too as there was a student discount, although skates cost £2 to hire. It was on the busy side however, towards the end of the session it quietened down though.
S. D.
Lovely Ice rink. Good teachers and helpful staff. Other facilities available e.g. Gym sports hall etc. Ice training programs and games are the major attraction and I give this a big thumbs up. Go to their coffee shop and chill if not interested.
S. N.
Nice place to go ice skating, it is indoor and there's not much decorations but other than that it does the job its big enough and it's a cool place, not as packed as near the national history one
S. E.
Good array of equipment in the gym. Pool not too busy outside of peak times. Good choice of courses. Staff could be more helpful. Equipment in gym often broken and out of use. Whole gym could be cleaner.
R. C.
The staff could be a bit more prompt when serving, but overall a great place to go skating and watch some ice hockey.
M.
This is a great gym full of friendly staff and members, however the new refurbishments have killed a lot of the atmosphere. For some reason everything is grey. I much preferred the light and airy interior of old
T. L.
Ice rink, it had ice hockey on it, it was great, the beer was decent but pricy.
A. K.
Great place for sports. I used to take my daughter swimming there when she was a baby and now we are going ice skating. They have a lot of different activities available for all ages.
G. R.
Great place and environment. It's so convenient to book my fitness classes online and in advance. The range of classes are very good and so are the teachers. Thank you for the services offered.
J. B.
I'd give 5 stars but was a little let down by the customer service at the front desk. They was a little rude and sounded bored. We asked for a helmet for my daughter but it was a no. …
E.
I do enjoy training at Leisure Centre Streatham. To do have an amazing classes, friendly staff and great machines! 🤗😊🤗
L. S.
This review is regarding the soft play area inside the leisure centre. On weekdays there are three sessions per day, 10-12, 1-3 and 4-6, and the age range is 0-8. There is a ball pit for 0-2s that recommends no more than 9 babies at once, …
D. C.
I haven't been skating for a while, so this was memory lane for me, hired the skates, staff very friendly, the hired skates are very used, but safe, mixture of skaters from learners little ones & professionals this place is also family friendly
B. B.
Great place. Good to go in the morning when its not so busy. Very clean and know one ever bothers you. Real relaxing vibe.
V. F.
Took my child and their friend here for the first time despite living close for the past 30 years!!! Not a bad place actually. First off, if you're a spectator you have to pay just over £2.00. But as a bonus! You can come out of the ice …
1.
Skating was good
R. b.
Always great lovely staff but most days shoe covers not available and parents had to go with kids shoes on without any covers near pool
Joyce is the best teacher vgreat teaching skills and making kids rely on their own try and learn X
R. b.

N. T.
Great fun place to take the kids on a weekend.
O. T.
Very good ice ring. Only minus is that lessons are taken during time for public skateing and you are left with only half ring to skate on. Getting very croudy as majority of people are staying on one side.
A. B.
Largest ice rink in London, possibly the country. Fantastic staff too. Highly recommend for learning to skate or for recreational use.
P.
Love the ice rink here
N. T.
You should definitely come and cheak out the measure centre becuase of all their great facilities and mostly I go there to ice skate. Ice skating Is fun and definitely tryyed out at the local ice rink where the staff and others training there are welcoming and willing to help out bigginers to start off. Also if your do enjoy ice skating you can try buying your own at the skates shop found inside the rink. Soo support you local skate shop and help build the community of skaters there.
The measure Center also include a gym and swimming pool which are open for he use of the public's t set time which can be found on their website.
Definitely come down to streatham measure centre and bring some friends and family .
K. A.
Nice and big place, within a leasure centre. Some staff is a bit rough but the majority are nice. Parking available, you can also park for free nearby on weekends. Tesco is also next door.
p. o.
A fun family experience although a little on the expensive side when you have three children. However we all love ice skating together; it is healthy family fun.
H. R.
Great ice rink, amazing place to spend time with family or friends. Friendly staff, nice skates. I Love it when they play the music- then its nice to skate and sing along haha. I really recommend it
J. S.
They had made a mistake with the booking process which meant the special needs ice hockey club had to hang around in the entrance foyer to prevent overcrowding.
R. B.
had a super fun time coming here!! i would definitely recommend coming here
C. C.
Really good I haven't been recently but I want to go again soon! Love me some ice skating
S. L.
This is a massive olymipic sized ice rink. it has 2 main sessions a morning and afternoon one the afternoon one seems to be busiest.
They have a great luttle skate shop which in one of the few places in london to have your skates sharpened. Cafe in limited to stadiym food.. nachos etc
A. C.
Fairly normal leisure centre. Has pool (plus babies' pool), ice rink, gyms, sports hall. Does kids parties. Has car park, or you can park next door at tesco (3hrs free if you shop).
V.
First time ice skating, I went with some friends very fun.
I. D.
Very good place.
Friendly staff. Kind
K. R.
It is clean and well lit. The personal trainers are always willing to give you advice. You can swim, use the gym, go to classess, play badminton, tennis and other ball games, and ice skate here. It may be a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.
M. M.
I would like to thank Jennifer the assistant manager at the Streatham Liesure Centre for her professionalism and general people skills, she helped me resolve an extremely sensitive incident involving my younger brother. Who now feels that he has a support network for when he visits the centre. The staff as a whole took the relevant steps to ensure he feels safe and welcomed. I would personally encourage famillies and young people to visit and enjoy the range of facilities avaliable to everyone, regardless of age or ability. Lastly thank you to the streatham team.
A. B.
Great place on ice rink...still the guy with blue hair way too much....I get that pictures are not allowed..that's fine...never mind ppl taking them but being obsessed with using the phone when no photo is taken...just use of the phone is too much ...can they train the stuff bit more....unacceptable!!!!!
m.
Love this place, everyone's really friendly and the services are great. Advice for ice skating; BRING THICK SOCKS! Because the skates will rub on your ankles.
A. S.
Pretty good. The gym has both newer and older equipment. I do find it quite warm but that is fair enough with so many people coming through
A.
When hot weather happens and lido next door is filled this pool is empty and air conditioned. In addition the baracades were broken so people got in for free.
e. o.
Great, spacious and well maintained place with a very friendly and helpful staff.
B. J.
Had great fun with family. Perhaps review queuing system at end of sessions. But it may have been a one off. Nonetheless, all good.
S. A.
I have a swim membership and prefer to go before work. After work there are often lessons leaving only one lane available for all speeds.
G. M.
Very nice ice rink, good for families, kids and adults. Lovely soft play area ideal for toddlers birthday parties.
d. c.
Really good fun for the family we had a great time when we went it was not to busy so was good as me and my son can't skate well
S. A.
A really fun place to hang out and do some ice-skating. It's spacious, cheap for a considerable amount of time and all in all really enjoyable.
D. C.
Big space with lots of different activities however one member of staff at the front desk causes there to be a queue every time I’m going to play netball
M. A.
Every single member of this streatham ice arena is individual asset for Better', however, I like to pass feedback about allison on reception. she is highly professional, kind, and the person who you deal and get peace of satisfaction.
B. B.
Great place. Good to go in the morning when its not so busy. Very clean and know one ever bothers you. Real relaxing vibe.
L. L.
The management keeps this place clean with modern facilities and classes. There is 3 hours free parking in Streatham or free street parking on the side roads. I love it here.
M. E.
Nice place for ice skating. Great facilities. Parking is very confusing, remember to pay when you're back from skating, not before as it doesn't work.
m. l. s. r.
Very clean, organised. Staff are very polite and supportive, just joined today and had a great experience!
A.
Would of given it a 5 but they did not turn the lights and music on
x.
A bit too crowded, they should put a limit in the people that are allowed to go in there. I know is about money but still... make it good for everyone that's there
N. G. (. L. G. W. J. E.
I am proud to say that this place is clean. However, there are no shower's for after gymnasium
P. B.
Clean, modern leisure center with skating rink.
e. h.
Ingrid is inspirational, patient and no matter how new you are to fitness, she makes you feel confident. I always leave her classes on a high and looking forward to the next .
A. B.
Really friendly staff, great swimming pool and Olympic size ice rink.
M. R.
Great place to visit. My daughter had lots of fun on the ice and it's not overly priced either
W. L.
Fun ice rink. Some helpful info, you pay £2.1 separately for renting the skates
S. S.
Great price for the quality of facilities. Offer lots of activities and classes. Staff are super friendly
M. L.
Love it there my daughter is there traini g 6 days a week. The coaches are so good and she has trained with them for over 10 years now.
K. M.
Very fun place, really recommend going here, but i bought a sausage roll and it was burnt and didnt taste nice at all. Please improve this!
H. K.
If you have a junior membership them most days unless you come early you'll have to wait in the lobby as it's packed, also very unorganised waiting system
G. T.
One receptionist was so rude to top it up the girl in the counter didn't tell me o had time renstrictions however Gym is perfect, pool is perfect.
E. G.
The ice tends to be really nicely cut! Smooth for public skating but hard for Ice Hockey matches! Really good size rink also!
T. S.
Great day out for the family. Lots of people on the ice but still space enough to skate around and not bump into others.
m. m. r.
If you need a new skate or the Sharpe your skate.... Just go there the staff from the boutique is exceptional... Thanks you see you guys
D. H.
Top of the line . . . Clean and friendly, if not a little over priced. Make sure to check ahead of time for pool access has it is a community pool.
l.
Amazing place where I can go and skate but people who aren't skating block exits to talk to there kids when there kids could come of the rink and go talk to them ⛸but overall it is amazing I recommend you go
E.
I do enjoy training at Leisure Centre Streatham. To do have an amazing classes, friendly staff and great machines! 🤗😊🤗
J. R.
Very modern and well invested venue. Even though the pool isn't the biggest, it gets the job done. Will become a member soon!
R. E.
Modern facilities and variety of classes, friendly and engaging instructors, boditrax machine.Accessible schedule. The opportunity to invite a friend with a day pass was very welcome :)
Z. C.
Classes are excellent but there aren't enough of them (they get fully booked very fast). Customer service is terrible, I have been trying to call reception all day with no answer!!!!
A. F.
We went to soft play and it was very good. Receptionist was nice and helpful and the soft play area was safe, clean and fun.
A. N.
They're ba-ack ... new complex has the brand spanking new ice rink. And the prices are £1 less than Planet Ice, which was temporarily at Brixton. Go on, see what they've done here.
A. L.
A good local resource but cleanliness can let it down. Handy when the kids need to burn off some energy
T. k.
Loved ice skateiing nice size good music
L. Y.
Ice skating here is the best especially for family outing my daughter and I go quite often and she loves it
S. T. T.
A modern and clean facility with excellent setup for ice skating, swimming, gym and indoor sports. The staff are friendly and plenty of parking space.
P. W.
Great place for relaxing
l. a.
Clean, tidy and the staff are funny. Always a good experience to visit.
B. N.
Really nice place but the thing that put me down is the fact that instead of helping you, the front desk people, send you to the website to deal with the booking and other things
N. M.
Amazing ice rink and gym, very clean and generally very good quality
R. G.
Love the bouncy castle for my little one. Reasonable price for it but expensive for soft play
N. B.
Great place to learn to skate, very friendly staff and fun family day out!
J. H.
Nice centre. Nice ice rink. Watch out for some of the coaches here, as a couple of them are quite aggressive.
M. B.
Skate here regularly, the only bad thing is the state of the ice. They really should flood the rink every now and then.
L. P.
Love the gym go every week has lots off activities specially Waterwork out and pilates that l enjoy doing.
O. H.
Multiple choices to have fun with you child. The water in the swimming pool was a little cold.
R.
Easy, non queue access, the female staff should leave their mirrors at home and answer the phone!!....
J. F.
Love this place if you are a member the facilities are awesome. If not you pay the price
G. M.
Fabulous ice skating experience. Cheap, uncrowded, full size Olympic ice skating rink. Fully recommend.
P. A.
As this building is new, and the large Tesco beside it, you can't get a better appointed leisure centre, the only downside is the parking, while there are enough spaces every time I've been there one of the two payment machines has been out of order, so queries get annoyingly long to get out
G. Z.
Lots of facilities at reasonable prices, tickets to watch an ice hockey game are £10 per adult.
m. i.
It's a good place to do different activities
G. M.
Nice environment new equipment friendly staff just what we need after a day at work and daily challenges.
K.
I enjoy it every time I go there. Very helpful staff 👍
s. h.
Me and Eliot came here the other day - without having even one argument, but that was mainly because we were skating at opposite sides of the rink.
C. J.
Brilliant gym/classes staff yet, been to a couple of gyms/classes by far this is the best in most aspects.
J. d. s.
Crowd , maintenance need catch up , good guys inside the arena catching or give some instructions for who need
M. G.
