Reviews of Waltham Forest Feel Good Centre
m. A.
I was pleasantly surprised when my friend took me here, felt like I was on a spa holiday away. For a reasonable price to get to enjoy the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool and when done you can relax in the lovely lounge area with complimentary tea and fruit. I usually fall asleep for a bit, so relaxing.
B. G.
Nice, polite people working here. Young lady in the trampoline area was helpful and welcoming.
I also would like to thank to the people working in the cafeteria for the patience they showed us today! We were a big naughty group with 18 children and had a great time!
This is a good centre to go. Clean and modern with good parking facilities.
J. V.
Came for Spa day with my other half & worried because website is not user friendly so I couldn’t book before coming! However the staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind - particularly receptionist Tamana was very helpful & explained everything to us with a smile & welcoming manner. I was very impressed with the professionalism & care we were shown especially because very busy time and some customers not very patient in busy time and not willing to wait their turn. Must be mentioned that staff stayed calm and dealt with costumers very well. Facilities were nice and clean & good value for money. Spa session was great for two hours and I left feeling relaxed and like I have spent my money well! Downside is they seem very short staff so more workers on front line would make atmosphere less chaotic but workers were very friendly and once we got in we enjoyed it. We will definitely be back for more!

Brilliant leisure centre with an array of activities suitable for all ages. Really helpful and friendly staff. Toddler swimming classes are so much fun. Changing area is always clean. Dedicated buggy park. A great on site cafe/tuck shop is a nice bonus after an activity, with a clean eating/sitting area
K. A.
Swimming pools are far too cold, especially for this time of year. Toddlers and younger swimmers in the teaching pool were shivering and keeping early due to the pool temp. Floors in and around changing area and poolside are absolutely filthy! Changing rooms are not cleaned. Pretty certain it was a cockroach I spotted on the wall!
The teaching pool gets very crowded which is not good if you don't like getting splashed. There's no room to move around. Lifeguards do not pay any attention to older children bombing into the water.
Prices were increased but quality has gone down hill. Children's parties were advertised to take place in a private room but are now taking place in the corridor, opposite the buggy park and soft play area. Very crowded and noisy.
Staff are very abrupt.
Trampoline Park is over crowded too. As there is such a mix of ages it can get a little rough for the younger children.
B. (.
2-hour session. I used the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. You have to book, but this saves over crowding. Nice to relax on the loungers after. Herbal teas and fruit provided. More private cubicles should have been built. Not accessible at all.

FANTASTIC!!!!!! Adult any age, kid any age can have so much fun in here. This place have so much stuff to do and recharge in the spa, it is FANTASTIC!!!! you will loose if u will not try!!!! My boy is super duper energetic so EXTREME PARK is absolutely the key for us to ,,wear" him out. Plus he wants to go for swim after park, BONKERS!!! Of course who wouldn't as u can see everything what is going on!! It's tempting, listen guys go...enjoy...relax..sign.AND COME BACK FOR ME

It has lots of great activities. Climbing, trampolining, spa, swimming pool, gym, classes. The swimming pool area and changing rooms could do with more cleaning. Plastic shoe covers have been removed and people are now walking around showers with outdoor shoes. The showers some of them are missing a locks and again quite dirty. Bringing your own flip flops is must. Inside lockers are again quite dirty so plastic bags needed. Staff around the centre is hit and miss. Some of them are amazing, some of them less helpful. Coffee shop on site have enough tables and chairs and good enough selection. Children's swimming lessons are only 30 minutes long so not much achieved in such a short amount of space.
R. H.
Facilities have recently been modernised. Good clean changing rooms, showers and toilets. Two good size swimming pools baby and adults. On the whole a good experience.
F. a. t.
Good centre overall… just expensive for what you get in my opinion especially when you have 2 children!.
We use the soft play trampoline area, we paid £16 for 1 hour 🥺 so not a regular activity we come to. But the children have fun..
S.
Good gym, paying for parking is a bit of a con. I would love for them to have longer opening hours. Other than that good vibes.
L. K.
I have two autistic kids and they absolutely love the place! We come every weekend now to do clip and climb . I can't thank Greta ( I think - lady with long blonde hair) enough for her patience during clip and climb session with my kids! she always goes an extra mile to make sure they are having the best time and encourages them to climb higher every time! The place is very clean and well looked after. However , cafe has no hot food available ( been like that for couple months now) which is a bit of a pain as kids are super hungry after the session! Overall , 5* for staff and extreme play!
S. B.
Clean and spacious place for adults and kids the extreme park is lovely , my kids enjoy the trampoline and the climbing walls all the staff are friendly and respectful
A. R.
Lovely facilities with gym, swimming pool and spa
Friendly staff and a cosy cafeteria so we'll visit the centre again!
Only downsize it can be quite busy at times, especially during weekends.....
S. Y.
The swimming pool is huge and it was a pleasure to be swimming post covid. The odd thing is the mixed changing rooms. I was with a friend otherwise I would not be comfortable.
There is nowhere to hang wet items/bags etc in the changing cubicles.
Nor is there anywhere to hang things in the shower cubicles. It is just so impractical. You cannot properly shower and have to go home to shower.
R. M.
A fabulous gym with excellent fitness instructors, a 3.7m deep pool with a 3m diving board, fitness studios, a café plus a full sized running track, all topped off by a Spa, what more can you want?
I heartily recommend a visit to the Spa!
A. S.
We went to soft play for under 3's which is excellent with 3 storey frame for little ones, a small ball pit inside and a sit down area for snacking on food you bring in. They even provide cleaning sprays and kitchen towel to wipe the tables/clean up any mess after your little ones afterwards. My 18 month old used these soft massive blocks to help him get up to each level which is fun. Also there is an area at the top with gym balls even for parents to have a mess about/stretch and a double slide so you can slide next to your little one. Massive lava lamp downstairs to look at/touch and a crazy light at the top of the frame with few funny mirrors. My little one was shattered afterwards. Definitely 5***
B. T.
Clean, modern the children loved the play park. Parking should be free and validated if you have paid for a session.
A. S.
Lovely fitness center especially the gym. The facilities here are very good and although not local to me I prefer to travel here as it's new and clean and had great facilities.
Y. C.
Setisfied with the swimming pool itself but agree with others that the changing room/shower facilities need to be improved.
Nothing special about the cafe Inside, like school canteen.
J. M.
Over the last few months I've been to the soft play areas here regularly - both the smaller under 3s one and the xtreme version for older kids and accompanied younger ones. My son loves both! Really clean and great facilities. The only downside is the cafe hasn't always got dairy alternative milks (my son has cmpa) but has a good selection of juices and basic snacks. We usually bring our own. All the other things available at the centre look great and it's easy to book (slightly clunky system).
N. M.
Great place. Pool changing room floor is a bit dirty but otherwise it's very nice.
Childrens play activities are bit expensive but awesome! Paid parking.
L. S.
Great place with so much for the kids of all different ages to do there. Staff we're very pleasant too and know and understand how to deal with the kids
C.
Love it good fun burnt lots of energy
F. B.
Everything is perfect the only thing MUST to improve is the toilet, changing room and shower cleaning, is disgusting sometimes, specially after 4pm.
J. C.
Great pools and staff.
I wish the customers who insist on using the baby change rooms when they don't have a baby knew that they were just making parents with babies wait for them to get changed when there are many other changing rooms that they could use, and we have to wait for up to 10 minutes sometimes with a baby who is upset and crying.
It's just selfish!
r. s.
My 5 stars is for a staff member - Ms. Kalsum. Thank you so much for going above and beyond your duty in helping me find my child. Big thanks..
S. H.
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone at the centre and review my childs birthday party as there isn't much information on the website . Everything was running smooth from the start to the end . We was greeted in reception by Gretta and taken to our party room . The room had tables and chairs set up however it did not have any decorations . Gretta kindly helped me and my wife set up the room and make it more lively. Once all the kids arrived they were given trampoline socks and taken to the play area for an hour . Afterwards , kids were picked up from the play area and went back to the party room which was followed by hot food and drinks - chicken nuggets (halal ) and chips . Food was boxed in a look-a-like happy meal box. Cost was £18 per child which was so worth it as it included trampoline socks , an hour in the trampoline park , party room and hot food + drinks! Everything under one roof! My child and all of his friends had a great time! Thank you to Gretta and other staff members who I came in contact with but didn't catch the names , you were all AMAZING and super friendly & helpful!!
A. 2.
I was having issues with their app despite being a member it was charging me full price to book & you can’t get through on the phone or online help chat! However the staff in the centre are fantastic & really helpful. Tamera sorted my problem and was very patient even showed me how to do bookings for future & at other local centres. The gym staff are nice too I had a great session on my first day and got a programme made for me to follow. Front desk can be busy most of time and need more then one person on the area but facilities really nice and staff very friendly. Generally clean and have many activities for my 5 year old to do! We had great session in the soft play which my little boy loved! I love the centre and would reccomend to my friend and family
D. H.
Website utterly worthless - such a nightmare to try and find information or book anything.
Xtreme play area is a combination of a soft play area (with slides that do not slide at all), a trampoline area with loads of small trampolines knitted together and more lining the walls, and a foam pit area with bits.of balance bes and netting to climb. It's a good hour of fun exercise for kids between 4 and 8. Any older and I think they may find it dull.
If you know how to figure out when the pool is available - you already know about the two pools (one kiddie pool and one cold pool for adults). If you don't know about the pool, save yourself some aggrevation and don't bother trying.
Decent gym - not very crowded because they charge far too much for it.
B. C. (.
If fitness is your thing this is the place to go, after a couple of hours on the machines you can relax in the spa, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi....pukka!
M.
Great Customer service from Tamarah , went out of their way to help explain everything in detail & trying to help others at the same time . Looking forward to re joining
J. B.
Great facilities. Swimming pool is massive with gallery to watch. Athletics Track and Field is at the back. Also the Gym is directly above the reception area and is visible through the glass panels
m. r.
It is big, nice, new. Ideal place to spend active time and also rest. It might become my second home!☺ The spa experience is a must. I enjoy the swim, the gym. Staff is helpful and welcoming
R. B.
The actual gym floor is quite small, with very limited equipment and I can imagine it being incredibly busy during peak times. The gym-floor has the bare necessities, but nothing more. No stairmaster, no crosstrainer, not many rowing machines, only one cycling machine on the actual gym floor, the others are all part of the class. So if actual resistance training is what you want and you're looking for a wide range of facilities, this place doesn't have it.
If you're just after the standard fitness equipment and aren't very serious about your weight training then, you can get by with what they have.
Having said that, the other facilities are amazing, the have a ninja warrior area, a climbing wall, a massive pool, a family pool and spa. However, the spa is not included with standard membership, so, no access to sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi if you're on anything other than the premium package ( £87) which other gyms give to you included in standard packages.
S. L.
In terms of facilities it would definitely be higher than my rating suggests, they are clean well equipped especially the gym with great staff that are friendly. The changing rooms especially for upstairs are great they are large with very clean showers. Courts and track are great to especially compared to other feel better centers. I can't speak for the children's area although it looks impressive and there seems to be alot of parents that bring their children here. My real let down here is parking there is plenty of it which is great but for a community center one that advertises to be for that exact purpose charging for parking is obscene especially when pricing for memberships are already higher than most places anywhere in the area or even London except very high end gyms in central London. The pricing for parking is expensive to with no grace period so as a parent that might be staying for sometime prepare to pay for that to. It's a shame as other gyms in the local area don't charge for the privilege to park and they have a less community focus.

I had gone FGCand it was very busy with people waiting to be see which depends what time u arrive for what event.
The sports centre hall was very fully booked for Badminton 🏸 from groups and it was very hot inside due to number of groups were play or the weather too.The light was dark from the last time I played at the centre a long time before.
I was planning to go and play Badminton which I did but fell unwell during active.
But the staff did help me alot by contacting family so I could go home which I did.
Thanks
Akife

Used SPA only. Clean. Overall pleasant experience.
A. S.
Really liked the leisure centre! Was there for badminton and the courts were good. Four courts in total. Ample parking on premises, but it’s not free, however not expensive either.
D.
I had a problem with my membership Jessie sorted it out for me. He was very helpful.
E. Y.
We realy enjoy swimming pool today ,clean and shallow part is big enough to swim with children. Next time we gone a try play are .
K. P.
I have been using swimming pool for a few months. I like it, even in the times we are in currently. Good rules are in place and most of customers are respecting this. The only thing that bothers me is when someone does not follow the rules and guidance, there isn’t any reaction from staff members. Also when the swimming pool toilet was open (before the virus) sometimes it could be so unclean it was better to get dry, change, go to the other toilet, come back, change into swimming shorts again and continue swimming. Better management would eradicate those issues and surely improve customer experience.
M. S.
Excellent facility for leisure: sports swimming , kids . Nice studios with huge glass walls and very professional instructors and helpful and caring staff.
The badminton🏸 court is very cool too
T.
Amazing large pool with wide swimming lanes and a very deep end for diving. Very spacious and lots of natural light coming in. I love swimming here!
a. m.
Overall, the centre is nice with the different categories but the online chat is dreadful. I was waiting for nearly 2 hours to chat with a staff member online but once a staff member was available, they were taking really long to email and ended the chat without asking whether my inquiry was complete or to a satisfaction. However, the staff at the centre are super kind and friendly and willing to help!
T. N.
Lovely place for children. Relatively clean. Cafe is expensive and limited, so best to pack a lunch. I'd give 4 stars, but the pool water is way, way too cold. If you're not an expert swimmer, i.e. can't swim non-stop, you'll freeze.
L. A.
It was a Amazing Experience Today I had at Wfgc , The Customer Advicer farhio was Excellent and Very Kind Person highly Recommended Thank You
P. W.
Only used climbing wall and trampoline park but good impression, clean, friendly staff, good day out with my daughter.
S. G.
Good Swimming pool, they use a booking system at the moment.. Very clean .
S. J.
Again like leyton leisure I pop in once a week to do Floyd's boxfit and boy his classes are tough but this makes it worth the while.
M. E.
I absolutely love the gym!! Fully equipped, enough space for everyone even when it's busy. The staff friendly and helpful, they show you around and give you an exercise plan if you are a beginner. :) Easily reachable, bus 97, 357, 34 drops you 2 minutes walk from the entrance. The prices are reasonable and my son loves the soft play and the trampoline park too. :) They have a lovely café and there is space to organise birthday parties in the building. The changing room in the swimming pool is a bit cold at winter time but the water is nice. The only thing what could make this place even more amazing is an extended crèche or a place where parents can leave their children under supervision for an hour or so. :) I recommend it from the bottom of my heart! :) 💕
S. W.
The soft play for toddlers is very good, although not enough chairs for parents.
Went swimming and the changing rooms and toilets are absolutely flithy. I can't believe this place is new, it looks like it is 30 years old and never been cleaned. The toilet actually had poo on the floor outside the cubicle, changing room floors dirty with god knows what. Mixed male/female changing rooms which is obviously trendy but awkward.
J. D.
Good facilities. Was not crowded. Nice and clean.
M. B.
The centre is new and with lots of options for activities. I booked a water workout class. It was very nice, bit unfortunately too much people. It was crowded you couldnt really focus on the movements without being worried if you were hurt/disturb the next person. The changing room and locker area are mixed gender (the shower rooms have locker and soap) They also provide hair dryers. Its a pitty that this class is offered very few times and half of them are impossible for a "normal" 9-5 job shift and no weekends.
A. P.
Why extreme ply area last entry at 4pm, kids just back from school, they want to play, but sorry, ply area is closed
Z. U.
I really liked the new build leisure center. Its very big and state of the art. I took my 4 year old to the soft play area, which he really enjoyed. They have got plenty of space for paid parking which is £1/hour (non members) and free for the members.
I the soft play was 7.50 per session which included trampolining as well.(which is a good deal). In case you don't want to go for trampolining then it's a bit expensive.
D.
This is a pretty decent leisure centre with a lot going on. Swimming is good value but price for an hour of soft play is a bit steep. Food options are lacking a bit and coffee is barely drinkable if you are looking for a pick me up after whatever it is you are doing. Recommended though.
G. R.
Brilliant pool facilities. Clean, well looked after and nice feeling to the place. Having swum in the college pool in the borough for many years this is just such a treat.
More facilities should be looking at emulating what has been done here.
Worth every penny.
S. R.
I have used the centre for swimming, the Extreme Park including trampolining, soft play and the cafe. Yet to use the Spa, but it's on my list. The car park is reasonably priced, you can buy permits at reception. Cafe is also reasonable. Facilities are clean and well maintained. There is cheap children's membership which enables free or discounted admission to a lot of the facilities. Great for things to do during school holidays and they also do a summer playscheme.
D.
The centre is always clean and is a very pleasant space. It is well equipped and modern. I enjoy working out to music from YouTube, watch a TV program or listen to the radio - whatever I choose and feel great to have the facility in the gym to do so. I love the clean and well thought out changing rooms and power showers too! This is my favourite health and wellness facility.
O. E.
Good clean facilities, great trampolines and soft play for young kids. The training pool is a great depth for pre-schoolers to practice swimming and the children’s swimming lessons are really good - our kids have come on loads through those.
One star deducted as the cafe is not great and could do with a better range of food/lunch options. We have hungry kids after an hour of swimming and a better cafe would make an absolute fortune. If that’s not a big deal for you, then I can only recommend it.
S. A.
Great Gym, Great swimming pool and a very calm and relaxing cafeteria. However the cleaning could be better in the pool area.
R. T.
A great gym, pool and activity centre. Since the development if this centre, it's been a great hit among locals and even those a bit further out like myself. The facilities are great and usually clean and the staff are super friendly. For a local gym, it has two pools although they get quite crowded at certain times. There's a well equipped gym and badminton and table tennis as well as futsol and a sauna. There's are classes such as dance and spin and a huge running track at the rear. I could go on...... just a great all round gym and the prices are in line with the other better gyms..
L. T.
The swimming teachers here all seem very kind and patient with the kids, and the dressing rooms and showers are very clean. Desk and cafe staff also friendly and helpful. Great trampoline and soft play areas too.
s.
Under 6 soft play area is way overpriced at £6. Went with my 2 year old daughter and went with her to the training pool. That was good value for money and the facilities looked very good. Lots of changing rooms and WORKING showers but you would expect that as its only been open a couple of weeks. Will be visiting again to try out other things like the main pool, trampolines and extreme course.
J. C.
Slow to get into the premises but otherwise friendly staff. Not enough climbing walls - less cost effective.
H. W.
I was invited to play Badminton at this place with a few friends of mine. I've not been there for a while so good to be back on court. Also I'm a Badminton coach.
P. B.
Brilliant new sports centre with 2 pools (one for teaching and one massive one for general), a fully equipped gym, MUGA pitch, outdoor facilities and an extreme play/trampoline/ninja-run park for everyone!! There is also an extensive climbing centre as well for all (well those who don't mind climbing up heights and then jumping down 😐)
Awesome for kids and adults alike.
My only complaint if that you have to pay for parking if not a member
C.
This is no doubt the best one in town, Staff at the front desk seem very young and inexperienced, but there are some good people there and there are some that may not be up to scratch. I was charged double for missing a class, I did not bother to follow this up because I don't have the confidence in the team that it will be dealt with properly. I do prefer the customer service at other Better gyms in the area. Since i'm signed up I'm not bothered with customer service, I just want to go through and use the facilities. Lets not forget this place is very busy and staff may be stretched with work. Its got good facilities, but could be run better.
A.
My boyfriend got my best friend and I a spa day here for my birthday. It was amazing. Staff were so friendly. The treatments we got were fabulous, we were glowing after. Also great you can use the Jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms as well as the public pool. Highly recommend
A. W.
Good places to take your kids for fun activities. Note the coffee shop could have better prices
M. H.
Good array of cardiovascular machines and weights for muscle building. Drop in to see if it suits you. Around £30 a month to use as much as you wish. Showering and lockers available. But besides a gym there are squash courts and lots more. Highly recommend. Coaches available to help you with a training plan. Old or young make or female. Concession memberships accepted.
C. C.
I have just moved into the area and was looking to see what the Feel Good Centre was like. So far, I've found that the staff are friendly and welcoming. The swimming facilaties are great, the gym, with all their modern machines are really quite impressive .Two things - 1) i had booked a gym induction and the guy wasnt overly keen to be there, he gave me a brief show around and also kept looking at his watch and needed to be else where even though I had him for 30mins. 2) some of the machines weren't connected to the internet and after i had finished my run for 25mins, i had JUST noticed it wasnt connected.... Quite annoying and will mention tomorrow when i go in. And yet to check out the spa facilities. Other than those two down falls, Im absolutely LOVING the space, the airyness and a clean Centre.
Q. K.
I like coming here. I've just joined the gym but for the last 6 months I have been using the swimming pool. Staff seem friendly enough and the facilities are clean. It would be great if the swimming pool didn't shut half way through the day. That can be annoying with timings. Usually it is shut 3 until 3.30pm. Still to find out why that is.
U. M.
This gym looks amazing and it doesn't even seem to be overly used, so it's great for going to if you don't like a crowd. The party and display car park is a big let down though... There should be free parking for people who are paying to use the facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the vending machine want full of junk food. Would give it five stars if not for the horrible parking situation...
M. I.
Went for a likkle spa ting on my bday. It’s good. Nice and relaxing. Health is wealth baby
R. S. (.
Great pool! Ample wet changing facilities, but a bit on the grubby side. The changing rooms could do with a jet wash and a wipe down.
The reception staff are always friendly.
L.
What a lovely revamp! Well done Waltham forest! Although lets see the state of the place in 5 years!
Very modern and clean. Great place to bring the kids. Has soft play, climbing, trampolining. Lovely little cafe with drinks, salads, sandwiches and fresh pastries. Large pools and good changing facilities. I was pleasantly suprised. One downside is you have to pay for parking if you are not a member
S. G.
I'm a member since they opened. And still so many things could be improved to make it better! The main thing which I believe they should work on is training their staff and improving customer service. Some staff are really rude , some seems to be enjoyed when you ask to turn off / on air conditioner when it's really freezing or boiling in the gym; when you ask simple questions, etc. It doesn't feel they are ready to go an extra mile for their clients, just to take the money from them. Very disappointing.
A. G.
Just had my son's birthday party here and everything was great especially the staff who was assigned to us. 11/01/20, 10 to 12 time slot. Coffee in the room was really tasty too. Thank a lot.
s. (. l. q.
nice facility but way too pricey for local people on a low income or budget - almost same price as a private gym. Therefore a lot of the community are now priced out of a local amenity, they should have access to. the swimming pool although large is a deathtrap as it plunges to a deep depth very suddenly - why they could not just rebuild the old set up i don't know. Also if the council insisted on making this a 'posh' facitily they could have included a wringer for wet swimming gear. Its ok - but i feel a lot of space in the centre is wasted. Classes are ok - some instructors much better than others . Also classes are often taught by gym staff and it shows, as they lack people skills - these classes are disjointed classes with 'barking' instructors who cannot give realistic alternatives to exercises. i will say though that the Pilates instructors are absolutely Fab!
A. T.
I only visit this place for the swimming. The pool is excellent. Don't know about gym facilities. My only criticism is the reception desk. It takes so long to be seen to since there is usually only one person in attendance and they are often dealing with endless enquiries about the cost of children's parties, the number of cupcakes, balloons, jellies etc etc. They need to get this sorted so more people can be seen to more quickly.

Fantastic facilities. Had my son's birthday party here and it was great. Trampolines especially, huge soft play. Cafe is good. Tons of parking £1/hr. Put the address in your sat navigation, though, not the post code! Post code takes you to the wrong place!
E. L.
Lots of space and good equipment for the most part however the gym is very untidy. There are a lot of people who train there who never put their weights away after they have finished using them. Badminton courts are good but the hall is very hot.
J. S.
Not good for swimmers in my opinion.
I grew up in the area and the new pool seems worse than the original pool. It's shallow up to about halfway and then slopes downwards. At the open time for swimmers, they don't seem to limit the number of swimmers and the width of the lanes, and the need to watch out for other swimmers means it feels more like bog snorkelling than swimming.
R. S. G.
PRICES ARE A JOKE. I used the old pool and track which was a fair £23.10 a month. Yes, the facilities are excellent but £43-47 for only gym and swimming only is an atrocious fee to charge anyone just because you updated the equipment, and therefore because of this i've decided to join a better gym which is more than half price.
Customer service is very hit and miss, some nice people and some who are useless. I find the women here are much better than the men who doesn't seem bothered by the fact their at work.
Finally, there is a PT in the gym (andy i think his name is) who is constantly on his phone whilst training clients and does very little work. Disgrace.
S. P.
I only use the gym but I'd say this is so much better than all the other Better Health gyms I've used. They have decent showers and lockers in the changing room rather than just in the gym area. I wish the sites nearer my house were as nice as this.

What a wonderful facility to have in Walthamstow. I am very impressed. My 6 year old granddaughter loves it. She has swimming lessons there and the trampoline room with the climbing wall are just phenomenal.
B. V.
Amazing pool. 8 lanes and up to 3.7m deep. Two lanes are split vertically (shallow and deep end) and used for classes or bathing. The remaining six are used for slow, medium and fast. Really good facilities with a large number of showers and hanging cubicles. Only drawback is that there is no steam or sauna. There is a facility that operates as a spa, but you need to book in advance and pay extra.
P. S.
Great place to swim, relatively new equipment
B. E.
Best facility I've used so far. Extremely well maintained, spacious in every department. Tracks, gym, courts, spa all amazing. My best spot will definitely be the pool. Can't wait to return there...
D. B.
The facilities are good especially the sauna and steam room. The hydro-pool is far too small and the jet pressures too low. Overall nice spa, price just right.
M. T.
One of the best fitness places in walthamstow. This place offers host of sports activities. From families to individuals, all have something which they can enjoy. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy place. Definitely worth a visit or joining.
M. D.
Swimming, soft play and a climbing wall. Good for kids, nice staff.
C. G.
The only little problem I have here is that my 'UK wide membership card' doesn't work with the fast track check-in machines here, so I may have to wait longer than should be necessary, in the queue at the front desk. Other than that it's a wonderful, clean, bright and friendly place, with a really nice Spa Experience facility, and swimming pool.
L. L.
Really nice range of facilities, has always been clean. I have mainly used the gym. Childrens indoor play area is good for a rainy day but some may find it a little expensive, it can be made cheaper by the child joining the gym which is one pound for the year (i think).
T. R.
I'm quite a regular of the swimming pool. I go with my daughter to the teaching pool. Nice and clean with friendly staff. My daughter use the running track for as well. I realy like their policy to have free acces for resident children on most of the facilities including the swimming pool.
L. M.
Its nice and new.
Cafe is terrible though, half the showers are out of use because they didnt plan a proper queuing area for parents. And you have to pay for parking which is a shame. But the gym is nice, the pools are nice, and the activity rooms are great.
P. O.
Good soft play for kids. Cafe is very basic and poor food options, lots of chips and white bread sandwiches. Small kids pool is often cold. Lots of parking. Climbing wall and trampoline park are great for adolescents.
J. O.
Facility is new, the pools are well placed. Got a gym with new equipments. There is also a running track at the rear.
Do forget parking. You can easily miss the signage about parking when it’s dark. Charging could be cheaper.

Came over the half term weekend with my nephews and nieces. car park busy managed to find a space.
kids had a great time in Extreme Park. headed after over to Coffee corner for food & drinks.
Food area nice & clean. staff clearing tables, cleaning.
Extremely busy here thinking the wait times would be long, i was proven wrong.
Served by a cheerful gentleman(later found out is the manager)who was enthusiastic, engaging and attentive took my order with great speed and accuracy provided me with everything i needed. I am a stickler for customer service which steered me to write this review.
Brand name establishments take note.
Purchasing a selection of Hot and cold foods.
Received Jacket Potato added Cheese and beans ,Crispy skin Piping hot and fresh, tasted really amazing. Slush puppies were a delight, flat white coffees thick and creamy and sandwiches tasty.
Hot dogs Moist and hot.
Thank you Pav for the enjoyable experience. well done the Feel good centre.
Gripes.... there should be free parking for people who are paying to use the facilities.
Front desk very busy, less staff to deal. add more staff on busy periods to ensure quicker entry wait times long.
Extreme session too short for the price should be longer.
Cafe prices could be cheaper.
Y. A.
Beautiful leisure centre, recently modernised, on site café, Spa, gym, 2 pools, sports hall and children's soft play. Ample parking (pay and display) £1 per hour for non members. Monthly paying member and purchase parking vouchers at a discount.
A. M.
Just love this place. Great facilities. Its very child and disabled friendly. It was my first time back as a wheelchair user. I was happy to see showering facilities in the disabled toilet on 1st floor. I look forward to trying them. Staff where very helpful.
H.
It's OK ish. Better than what was there before, but misses the mark in all areas. Prices are high, eg for the under 6's softplay, non-member £7 and for members £4.95 for a hour, which is shameful and a rip-off. Used to be for a hour and half, which still is a rip-off.
The gym, gets very busy at times, but it's ok. Space isn't used well with the equipment set-up.
With the swimming pool to much is rammed into the one pool, swimming lessons, lane swimming and general swim, diving area... trying to hard to be a Jack of all trades, master of none... so very little space in the pool to really enjoy yourself.
So again, it's a ok ish place, but prices are HIGH.
I. Y.
Nice new facilities, spacious and decent monthly costs when you consider the unlimited use of pool and gym with racquet courts when booking a week in advance. Loses a star for not offering free parking for members although there is a cheap daily voucher system in place, it is a hassle and cost a monthly paying member can do without.
M. M.
Going in and changing my membership was a breeze. Tamara was extremely helpful and Nosheen helped guide me in the right direction. The centre does get a little busy and they seem to have relaxed on the parking. I found the staff very open, friendly and reasonable today. Very positive experience.
T. J.
Great as always. Was good to be back. Thanks Lucy for such a great massage and good service. I'll surely be back soon :)

Although I haven't been here much, the place looks modern, inside and out, and has good facilities!

What a lovely revamp! Well done Waltham forest! Although lets see the state of the place in 5 years!

S. F.
Great facility since re-opening on 1st October 16. Changing rooms no longer smell of wee, there's far more of them too! Bright, open, airy and welcoming. They need more classes on the timetable, but it's early days yet!
U.
Nice spacious gym with pretty much everything you might need, cardio, weights and open area for strength free training. Sauna and steam facilities. Elemis Spa treatment centre. Full professional running track and outside space for further cardio. I believe they have tennis and other sport areas too but I did not try and see any of these personally. Good changing rooms, locker and shower area. Loads of activities for kids and all separate to the adult areas. Good looking and well laid out swimming pool. My 3 issues are 1, No wash basins inside the changing room area. You have to walk outside of the changing area to the toilets to wash your face. Not everyone wants to bring in a fresh set of cloths to have a shower inside the centre. I need to wash my face from sweat. Being a brand new centre, it's annoying the interior designers did not think of this. 2nd, the gym area is getting pretty busy already and between 5 and 8 are times I always will be avoiding. The weight training lay out needs to be bigger, all those cardio machines are not being used. 3rd and lastly, Coffee shop / Cafe needs to cater for gym users also and have some healthier dishes and options. They have nothing healthy you good happily dig in to after a good workout. Being a brand new facility (I believe about 4 months) This could be a great facility and remain that way. As long as the staff have great customer service training (a lot of them look very young, early 20s or teens) and the building is kept clean and fresh I will remain a member and would recommend this centre to all.
S. R.
Smelly- as if the floors are cleaned with a mop thats cleaned the toilets - never have the sport hall ready for us - rubbish not cleared up from the group's before us- too hot no air conditioning in the sport hall. Suggestion - charge a bit more (not a stupid 5p) employ more staff!!!!!!!!!
M. G.
Excellent centre. On this occasion I only visited the trampolining park and 1 of the party rooms. But on the whole from the minute you enter the centre you are greeted by friendly, hospitalable and helpful staff members, who are there to help you with any of your needs.
Since the refurbishment and name change of the centre, this is my 1st visit and it definitely won't be my last.
Our destination was a trampolining party and it was spectacular.
The children were greeted by a fun and enthusiastic member of staff who would be our party guide for the time we were there. She was able to keep the kids in check, while keeping them energised and hype at the same time.
The children were given their 'special jumping socks' and then lead away to watch a safety video, while the parents took up prime photo taking positions.
The trampolining area is vibrant, non-repetitive, spacious, crazy, exciting, fun and age appropriate. Even though it managed to be all these things, they still managed to allow the children to think they are pushing the boundaries and doing things way beyond there years, i.e. swing rope, gladiator style pole fighting, fly catcher and many more.
The funhouse for example seemed to keep a wide variety of different aged children occupied for what seemed like an eternity. And although I sat directly in front of it, I could never manage to keep an eye on my child at all times. Tgere was always some nook or cranny tgat needed to be explored differently every time it was entered. That is the sign of an excellently designed piece of equipment in my opinion.
When the children were finally dragged away from the trampoline area for the refreshment part of the party, it was just a short walk to the party room.
The room was spacious. Secluded off from onlookers, so it was just your party and guests in the room which was nice. The table was set up towards the middle of one end, leaving plenty of space if dancing or party games were to be played before or after food.
The food that the children had was nice. This is testimony by all the empty plates and containers that there were, and my no nonsense daughter telling me afterwards that the food was nice but tgere should have been more. So possible the portion could have been slightly bigger, or maybe offer something else with the menu option.
The children have been running and jumping for an hour. Working up a huge appetite and then the portion even for a smaller child may need a fruit, yoghurt, jelly or ice cream pot to go with it. Just to end off the day.
Finally the whole atmosphere of the centre is great. When a member of staff sees you they say 'hi/hello', 'ask if you're ok/if they can help'. The place is very clean. As soon as something is dropped or spilt it seems to be dealt with quite promptly. Whether this is because it was the weekend and there were a few parties going on, I'm not sure. But it should be, and I hope it is the standard they are working towards because it's nice to see.
d. K.
Fantastic place very clean definitely coming back ❤️
R. H.
Great for kids. Get them tired out on the ninjacourse and trampolines then have a sit down and coffee whilst they're still in the soft play. Pretty reeasonable prices too. The climbing walls are seperate and incur different costs.
S. T.
Really love this gym: new, state of the art equipment, clean and modern premises as well as friendly and knowledgeable staff. The swimming pool is a great size and the spa is an added bonus.
S. F.
Great for kids got a climb area and tramp area.. good for grown ups ..
C.
Brand new Gym and pool, couldn't be cleaner. No need for membership (since a single entry to the pool/gym is only between 3.30£ and 4.40 or so depending on the time of day)
Nice staff, not crowded at all the two times I've been. Can't understand the bad ratings here at all!
H. D. S.
Spa prices are a joke, food is very expensive in comparison to the quality and as is charging members for parking. Gym in its and facilities are not bad. They need to evaluate their pricing especially surrounding the spa as it is outrageously high!
D. H.
It's for anyone for kids who are 8 and up their an extreme park and climbing wall with slides and ninja Run and a trampoline park. For babies 3 and under theirs and baby soft play with ball pits safe slides and much more . Theirs also a pools and a teaching pool . For adults a relaxing spa and a gym . Last thing if your hungry theirs a feel better coffee Corner with food for kids and slush puppies and much more . Go there is awsome .
K. V.
Great sports centre. Passed by to go and use the clip n climb centre which was not as comprehensive as other places, but had an attached internal obstacle course which was fun. Sports centre facilities looked awesome and not a lot of rush. Car park is Not free.
N. B.
The facilities in this place is really good. However the attitude of the staff needs some adjusting. The two staff that tended to our group could be heard muttering bad comments after being asked a question. One if the staff members also kept walking in and out of the room, without even asking if everything was ok. Their food is overpriced, overcooked and very small portion size.
S. E.
Most of the activity is somewhat operating to certain capacity. With Covid-19 measures in place. Well maintained and excellent of staff to assist you almost immediately. Enjoy there safely
M. K.
Very nice place for kids:
1) Amazing teacher in swimming pool, make lessons for kids entertaining.
2) Nice place to spend time on weekends, there is amazing soft play. (If you are member you get a discount).
T. S.
Great leisure centre with lots of facilities for all ages. Staff a bit slow on the front desk but hopefully due to training. Nice cafe, great pool and extreme zone.
A. P.
Very good Covid procedures for swimming. Changing rooms well signposted, but people unclear that they should be shoe and buggy free
M. J.
Ok trampoline and play area but suitable for kids upto about 10/11. The trampolines are small so not ideal for older kids... Certainly not for teenagers and definitely not for adults. If you have teenagers and adults then AVOID this venue and good to the far bigger and better Barking Extreme venue.
t. t.
I really like this gym. Apart from those disgusting toilets, the centre comes equipped with some of the latest machines and architectural designs. It is worth the price for sure..
K.
If you're visiting for the gym or the extreme park, the you will enjoy your time at the Feel Good Centre, however, when I went swimming, there is this one guy called Charl or something who is quite rude but I haven't seen him around recently, so things were great!!!
E. D. T.
I usually enjoy climbing and the extreme play at the Feel Good Centre, however I recently made a mistake with my booking. I was supposed to book for one day but I booked for the day before. Of course I realise this was my mistake, but the worst is yet to come. I emailed them to inform them of my mistake, but it said it would take up to 3 working days to process - to long for me to wait as I needed it the day after. So the next morning, I called them up and the first person to answer my call was extremely friendly but was not able to help me as the manager was needed to tend to my problem. The person took down my details and said the manager would call me after 11 in the morning. Unfortunately this did not happen, so at 12 I called again and a different person answered. She said that the manager would call me shortly and hung up after putting me on hold for a short while. Again, I was not called so I phoned them again at 1. The same woman answered and used a slightly harsh tone and told me the manager would call me soon. It has been 3 hours and I still have not received a call. This will mean that unless somebody contacts me today, I will have to book again, wasting another £8.00. I do not believe this is ok. Despite this horrible mishap, as I said earlier I do enjoy the Feel Good and I hope that this is only a one time thing.
a. n.
the staff is really friendly and helpful. facilities are nice and clean. pool is nice but giving 4stars because water is too damn cold all the time. please warm it up a bit more.
K. B.
Some staff are pleasant, however the younger lot are rude and unprofessional. Staff on reception are helpful it's just those who wander around the pool sides at swim school.
S. K.
Swimming lessons are always busy after school and weekends but they seem to cope (most of the time,). Facilities are good, compared to what they were before.
T. K.
Great gym and Spa. free weights area is a little small though
B. N.
Facilities are great value for money, but the way you get access to them needs a lot of work. Online booking is horribly convoluted and painful, and it isn't really possible to talk to anyone at reception unless you're there in person.
R. B.
Please do not ring the Pool & Track for details of Karate Classes as this map is purely to help you to find us.
Shotokan Karate Classes on Monday from 6.00pm and Fridays from 6.00pm. We can accept children from the age of 6 upwards.
Simply arrive 15 minutes before the class starts to register for your free Karate Class.

nice place 👍 helpful staff
P. D.
The leisure centres revamp is certainly impressive and well maintained also kept clean even though it was busy things kept moving along nicely and much fun was had on the trampolines and foam pits, until muscle cramps in the morning of course 🤣
S. S.
Facilities are great. Mostly great staff however at the 3/4/5pm shifts the staff are trash. Absolutely disorganised, rude. It's very annoying to deal with these type of people. But once you're past the barriers and inside the facility it's great. Rather expensive though.
T. M.
Fabulous place. Great staff very clean. Good facilities and activities
F. “. F. R.
Went swimming here with a 1 year old, and a 2 year old. Had problems booking online, but called them, and got it sorted,. The learning pool starts at .6M I thought a little deep, buy overall a good experience.
k. m.
Great gym, good pool,.massive car park a real luxury pound an hour. Spa bit disappointing. Old street one is much nicer.
4. B.
this is a wonderful place since the rebuild but some activities such as the free for all it is at an unreasonable time which is 9:00am to 12:00pm so there would be less children but it is better if there were children also i like how renewing or getting a new members card is £1 which is good price for getting something new that you lost i would recommend this centere but just check the online timetable first
S. C.
I absolutely love it there, I’m there 5 days a week, making use of all their great facilities, such as the gym, the better experience spa and of course their classes, not forgetting taking part in Extreme Air- their trampolining class!!
T. S.
Good pool. Could be cleaner and always someone who wants to bathe in the fast lane
S. P.
The centre has implemented social distancing really well. Also, everything is clean. I feel safe when attending the gym.
M. S.
Good gym, needs more free weights & squat racks & less cardio machines
9.
Newly renovated complex which boasts fantastic facilities. Definitely the best "Better Leisure Centre" I've visited. Only negative is having to pay for parking, which is ridiculous considering I already pay quite a bit for the monthly membership.
T. B.
On Saturdays you get diving boards, There is a large air conditioned gym and there is a cafe with a running track behind it. Some days a large obstacle course is on the pool.
A. Y.
Great gym. Indoor and outdoor facilities are very good. But parking isn't free but cheaper if you are a member. Extreme park quite pricy for just 50mins
S. M.
Good new centre. Only used the pool which was relatively quiet at 7.30pm. Parking at £1 an hour is expensive hence low score. Changing rooms ok and mixed.
M. L.
Good place to bring kids, only would prefer if staff will be more friendly.
H. R.
Really good facilities, very frustrating however that there isn't a single cold shower in the pool changing rooms. They are all single heat and I find them too hot after exercise
B. B. (. P. R.
Used the track which was in excellent condition. Spacious and clean facility that will be of great benefit to the local community. If driving and not a member, take change for the car park.
E. R.
Extreme soft play is great for toddlers and adults alike!
a. v. d. e.
Really spacious modern leisure centre, perfect for families. The pools are lovely, soft play is ideal for a rainy day.
A. C.
Really helpful reception staff; pool was clean
and was quiet. The only problem (and it was a big problem) was the state of the changing village - it was truly filthy and smelt terrible. I will give it another try but if it’s just as bad then I won’t be back. Please sort it out!
B. S.
One of the best leisure centres I've been to... good soft play area for toddlers and great trampoline park/ninja run/soft play/climbing zone for older kids
M. -. C. T. D. M. L. H. S.
Good for a swim and many other activities over, the summer holidays. Great service brilliant place alot better than the pool and track was even though it was nearer to my home.
J. D.
It's good place to chill and swim and dive... If you wants to have fun you can go aqua splash times.. Or even in Leyton leisure center
a. b.
Check times for lessons. Car park £1/h. Book online for swims. Climbing /soft play zone is excellent
P. T.
Really nice Gym and pool
M. T.
Best place for Children Soft Play. 💯👍
S. M.
Fun activity for active kids. Keeps them entertained and suitable for all ability levels.
Well staffed with adequate facilities ina clean environment, would recommend.
R. K.
We loved this place because there were lots of fun activities to try out.
R. F.
Swimming pool, spa center and well equipped gym. And also canteen where you can order good enough cappuccino. And a lot of parking spaces outside (pay and display)
J. E.
Went here to use the spa. And had a 25 min hot stone and used the sauna, steam room and jacazzi. Would highly recommend. Average prices aswell.
J. P.
Opened recently. Got a membership with my honey! Sauna, steam room, & jakuzi bath, were always overcrouded! Might be a begginers rush or something... + they were giving away 50/% of the price! 😆😆😆 Sales - YEEEEEE! Proper master of "Black Friday" is - Robinson Crusoe! 😂😂
M. K.
Fantastic centre, especially the extreme park. Brought my family along and we had a great time. It's split into different sections so there's something to suit everyone. Will definetly be coming back during the holidays.
P. W.
Very nice place for active day. Highly recommended.
A. F.
Great facilities. It's a shame you have to pay for parking all the time
C. M.
Was so impressed went to check out the facilities massive inside bright coffee areas kids play pen swimming gym sauna will be attending staff attentive to your needs
D. B.
Good facilities, lots for all to do, pool and gym are good as is the spa. Great for kids but you do have to pay to park
P. W.
I was visiting the athletics track. You need to pay to park however, this is discounted if you are a member of the sports centre. Friendly staff are happy to provide change for the parking meters.
N. P.
The gym is good and rarely full which makes it great
C. B.
Love it no problems at the moment...I'll get back to you in about 2 years. But at the moment staff are great facilities are great spa is fantasticso.....well done making me feel good everytime I come..
A. J.
New building and modern layout. Great climbing area for kids up to age 13 years. Spacious coffee shop area.
I. E.
What can I say other than its well worth a try with the massage and gym. I enjoy the aqua fit class, the only problem is the temperature of the water
D. S.
With plenty of parking and activities for children and a beautiful mutli sports court, this place is good attraction for all age groups. Forget to mention beautiful about swimming pool.
N. S.
This gym has used to be a sub par local facility that we outdated, now that the council have spent the money to improve the facility it has good equipment that is worth having a paid membership.
E. R.
Lovely spa, with nice jacuzzy, sauna, relaxing room and steam room. Usually not too busy and fair price.
s. J.
Parking is a let down, should be free for paying members. Pool is nice although overcrowded at times. I enjoy the the rest of the facilities.
G. N.
I like most things about this centre. Like most gyms it can get very busy at peak time. Gym and reception staff are always nice
K. P. L.
VERY GOOD PLACE FOR TRAINING SWIMMING EXC
M. B.
Very helpful staff. I had a wonderful swim.

Love this centre. Changing rooms a delight. Compared to some of the other Better Gyms, this is a good one

Very good affordable place. My son goes swimming here and the staff are very friendly apart from a hefty women with curly hair who i believe is in a senior position.
M. O.
Great gym, don't like having to pay for parking but you can buy a much cheaper bundle of tickets from inside

Virtually brand new centre (opend in October), good classes and gym equipment. Much nicer than the Pool and Track was!!!
j. e.
Nice and quiet, despite it being peak time. Staff smiley and helpful, facilities super clean.

Great facilities at a great price. Jacuzzi is not very warm but sauna / steam / monsoon shower make up

Pool is fab, changing rooms are being cleaned regularly, the transition between the pool and changing rooms was freezing though!
R. S.
So much fun and there is lots to do like going to the trampoline area or the climbing area going swimming or gym or sauna or even the spa area there is also a cafe and lots of vending machine such a great place there so much to say
A. B.
Great local gym with facilities to work out, swim, climb, play football, run track and a spa. The parking should be free though.
I. M.
Nice to get back swimming great venue and helpful staff.

Great centre with good facilities, not too crowded (so far) and excellent classes - plus a pool!

Good experience of Playing Table tennis with my 12 Years old son.
C. J.
Visited the kids soft play area, could have been cleaner and the restroom could have been cleaned/stocked up better
A. K.
New gym facilities.friendly staff. Considerate of faith sensitive issues. Buy the parking permits if you're a member.
T. C.
Much smarter since the redevelopment the new one is miles better (I am talking about the swimming pool part) and I will be trying out the extreme park soon
C. W.
Great facilities at this gym. Always a free court for badminton, the spa is a bit overpriced though
D. M.
Great place for kids. Too much open space with nothing in it. Where's the decent diving pool gone?
S. o. w.
The parking is not charged by the gym. It is charged by Waltham forest council therefore the gym has no power over it. All the other centres in Waltham forest (except Peter Mayi think) charge for parking. parking permits can be bought from reception.

The centre is great!
But the website listed above is not the centre - it's the website of a swimming club which trains at the centre. I have requested it gets updated.
