I had my wedding reception and evening do at this venue on 2nd Sep 2022. I can honestly say me and my wife are so pleased we chose here. Room was decorated immaculately. Barry even put out extra decorations at no additional cost just to ensure the room looked even better. The quality of the main meal and buffet was superb. Service was exceptional and quick for both food and drink. Barry and his team were always checking that everything was okay and asking if we needed anything else. Staff were very hospitable towards ourselves and our guests. Couldn't have asked for anything more. So thank you Barry and your team for a fantastic day!

Lovely venue, great helpful staff , Barry looked after everything , decoration , food , ( delicious cold buffet and plenty of it ),disco and he was a great compere for the night. We walked in and enjoyed the night with all of our guests.

Such a good space. I went here to attend Barrio Fiesta. They had lovely Filipino food, entertainment and several stalls.

Excellent facilities for Rugby with the major exception of the distance from changing rooms to the pitch. Plenty of outdoor seating and space for children to run around. Male toilet on the ground floor had access steps and a toilet for the disabled was not obviously signposted. Food service was slow. An order for a fishfinger sandwich took 40 minutes. There was no real ale available.

Fantastic new outdoor decking area. All the staff really friendly and helpful, beer is brilliant too. Also have plenty of options with good coffee and cake/sweets. The rugby is always brilliant too if you enjoy it. If you are out for a walk in the Derwent you are more than welcome to pop in for coffee/cake/beer whatever takes your fancy!

Just enjoyed our son and daughter in laws wedding. What a fantastic day topped off with a superb reception held at Blaydon rugby club. All the staff really helped to make the day enjoyable not only by being professional but also nothing was a problem for them. They were all so accommodating. The room was decorated just as was requested and to a very high standard. The food that was prepared fresh on the day was absolutely amazing. I still cannot believe how high the standard of everything that we asked for was. We will definitely be returning to host another event in the very near future.

Great location for local functions. Love a car boot sale here too - have done for many years now! Ideal spot for fireworks on Bonfire Night - the field is an ample size and it's pretty easy to get to via multiple bus routes etc.

Sharon hosted our wedding day and night reception here, she had the room absolutely beautiful for us, we couldn't have picked anywhere better. Her husband done all the catering and not one complaint was made it was amazing a day I will cherish and never forget, she arranged for us to go somewhere really special for wedding photos which turned out beautiful, both of them were fantastic and all our guests had a brilliant night I will never forget it and I can't wait to host another function here xxx

Went for the Gateshead trial 10k which was a great experience. Everyone very friendly and encouraging, if you are fairly new to running longer distances it is a good entry event. Only hard section is an upward hill towards the end which has pretty much everyone walking up it...but after that it's a nice long flat straight thankfully. Overall it is a nice park for a walk or run and has lovely scenery.

We held our daughters wedding reception here in May and I just wanted to say everything was absolutely perfect, from the room itself to the way Sharon had decorated it, table decorations/balloons etc. Also the food was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend here for functions as they can't do enough for you.

Yeah for my sins I have to suffer rugby. Or that's my excuse anyway, but no I do like rugby. Blaydon rugby was founded in 1888 so has a fantastic history, the club house is very nice. The main pitch is an artificial pitch and the fence around the pitch is new as well. They also have an electronic scoreboard as well. So progress which is good for Blaydon and in turn good for English rugby as a whole.

Went to the Sunday car boot sale. It's OK for second hand clothes ..toys..household items but don't expect to find any hidden gems..collectables etc cos there ain't any.
