Good for swimming. Water is lovely and warm. Also excellent water fitness classes but there should be more availability. It is not easy to get booked into a class.

The main pool often feels quite cold which is great if you're getting to swim but not so good if you're taking small ones in for a splash around.

Good sport centre went for swim whilst my grandson took swimming lessons can now swim like fish good for long distance swimming has lanes I main pooling do the go ahead lot as out of my area but recommend venue

You can have a really good swim here, staff are friendly and helpful, the gym facilities are excellent, they also do kids swimming lessons.

We went for a kids party, small bouncy castle in a big hall. The whole venue seemed extremely quiet, gym seemed empty for a saturday although we didn't go in so couldnt be 100% sure on that, bever seen 1 member of staff so either busy elsewhere or lack of staff.

In need of maintenence, particularly in pool viewing area but the pools seemed clean and well maintained. The rest of the building looks a bit more modern and the car parking was very good. Strange size pool that I believe is 33m rather than the standard 25 or 50 so bear that in mind if you are timing lengths.

We came here to find some time and prices for our baby to come swimming. They didn't seem overly interest and just passed us a leaflet and carried on with there day. Not rude just not overly interested in having a conversation with us. In terms of timings it would be impossible for us to very attend. The timings for the small pool are very minimal, you are lucky if we can go in for an hour a day. I know they have to accommodate everyone but they have a separate small pool that children don't get priority for 😕

Nice pool fantastic gym and wonderful that because it takes swimming lessons there with my school but he only thing is that the change rooms are quite dirty looking people always leave the mess in the changing room cubicles which is not fair on anyone that doesn’t like to see rubbish lying around

Pool and facilities, in themselves, were good. It was physically possible to get in something regarding a decent swim. I mean, I felt like I'd done some exercise. What isn't good is when the pool timetable isn't adequately clear. In the timetable slot I attended, there was no mention of restricted pool length and the presence of an aquafit session at the end of the pool, with only one full-length lane available. This in itself I don't mind, of course--it's an important session for many people. However, it would have been nice to know this without having to ask the receptionist on-site. The adult session is obviously going to be compelling for those who would prefer a quiet, relaxed session, and when they all have to be shared with aquafit classes, without the patron being informed adequately, it may cause them (me) to lose some faith in the pool's viability. I may have a better time if I attend a public swim at a quiet time. I hope I do. There is actually pool-only membership available, which makes it a much better value proposition than Blaydon Leisure Centre. I may then adjust my review if I have a more enjoyable experience later. For now, though, I'll probably keep looking for other leisure centres to try.
