Lots of events and functions happen at this venue on various days and nights. Have a lot of memories of parties,food catering,weddings etc etc ; good and bad. Seems to be the place for bookings for the most in northampton. Parking available most times at this location.Great vibes _kg1production.

Really friendly, from the guys on the gates to the stewards and bar staff, they all seemed pleased to see us and wanted us to have a good day, which we did. Reasonable price and it was good to be able to walk on the ground and look at the wicket at the intervals, which you can't at the big grounds we usually go to.

A very compact oval cricket ground in the heart of Northampton with low rise stands all round. Plenty of hospitality suites and outlets selling food and drink scattered all round the outfield. Good quality lights for evening matches too.

Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Northamptonshire. Its limited overs team is called the Northants Steelbacks – a reference to the Northamptonshire Regiment which was formed in 1881. The name was supposedly a tribute to the soldiers' apparent indifference to the harsh discipline imposed by their officers. Founded in 1878, Northamptonshire (Northants) held minor status at first but was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship during the 1890s. In 1905, the club joined the County Championship and the team was elevated to senior status as an official first-class team. Northants has been classified as a List A team since the beginning of limited overs cricket in 1963; and as a senior Twenty20 team since 2003. The club plays the majority of its games at the County Cricket Ground, Northampton, but has used outlier grounds at Kettering, Wellingborough and Peterborough (formerly part of Northamptonshire, but now in Cambridgeshire) in the past. It has also used grounds outside the county for one-day games: for example, at Luton, Tring and Milton Keynes.

I watched the game on Tuesday 20th July against Bedfordshire, it was so hot l felt l needed to move. But doing so I fell ill but was helped by stewards and medics. They were fantastic....brilliant especially Cindy and others.

I came here to watch the Craig David & Rita Ora concert. I sat in the stands and the view was very good, there were plenty of extra toilets laid òn, there was plenty of food & drink stalls but these were extortionately priced. Perfect venue for a concert as there is also plenty of street parking.

Superb venue with lots of facility's to ensure you enjoy your day. The entire venue and buildings are superbly maintained. All the staff we met were extremely polite and went out of their way to ensure you did not leave disappointed.

Attended the Little Mix concert with my daughter. Great venue for this great weather we are having to watch a live band who performed very well. My only issue is your website only stated "no picnic baskets or glass bottles" yet when we arrived all foods ( crisps, biscuits bars ect) were taken off of us, and bottle tops removed from drinks we had brought with us. I fully understand safety measures are and should remain priority but if you're going to make it so we cannot take anything in you should advertise this clearly on your website and also provide plenty of food vans. There simply was not enough of them, I completely missed the support acts due to queuing for food. This was a sold out concert and knowing you had the food ban you should of catered for the amount of people especially a large number being children to be served as quickly as possible. The workers on these vans in that heat tried their best and you could see they were so stressed but it meant they had to rush cook things like chips, so very hot but not fully cooked. I did try and email this to the email on your events page but it would not deliver.

We recently hired the Old Speckled Hen lounge for a event. This event was a memorial service followed by a celebration of life party in honour of a recently deceased friend. It was attended by 250 friends, family and colleagues. Due to the large number of attendees, only a small number of venues in Northampton and the surrounding area were suitable. NCCC was very competitive on the cost front. Claire and the events team were very helpful and thoughtful when discussing the logistics of our dual format event. The service we received before and during the event from all staff was nothing short of exceptional. In short NCCC as a venue, together with it's team, helped us give a great man a great send off. Thank you.
