🎳 Nottingham bowl is super fun. 🕹 There are many bowling lanes, in a good condition. There are also some other games like air hockey. 🍔 You can choose to eat or drink something during your bowling game. The staff is friendly and helpful. I always enjoy it when I visit this place!

It wasn't great . We played the digital darts but it wasn't working properly: the scores were not being registering. We spoke to the staff about this a few times as it kept happening but they didn't seem too bothered. So we asked if we could switch to the empty digital darts station next to us as it seemed to be working for the previous people; this was declined. We paid for a 2 hour session but ended up leaving after about 30-40 mins. Thr actual darting experience, when it was working, was fun.

Really enjoyed it there. We went for 2 games on a Friday afternoon in the school hols. It was pretty quiet in there which was good. Great atmosphere, lighting, music etc. Decent selection of arcade style games as well. Only negative is there isn't a cash machine in there, but you can get cashback if you spend over a fiver so that was fine. We'll be back soon.

We had lots of fun on bowling. All lines are well set up and arcade its amazing for raining day. As well as friendly and helpful staff go over and beyond when our train was delayed and we couldn't get on booked time.

Nice place for drinking and bowling, little arcade bit, bar is decent. Overall enjoyment is a 4, the system on how we book and get the lanes and such is a 3 and the equipment like bowling balls is a 3.5. Definitely need to improve on some of their equipment, but overall still a fun experience.

Nottingham bowl is a great place to have fun with friends. Their party package is pretty good, 2 games and a drink for £16 was really good. I went there for my birthday, and their birthday announcements were really sweet as well. Thank you so much, and I look forward to coming there again! :)

Recently been done out so the bowling lanes are much better now. I do think the lane was faulty as I kept on missing my shots during my first game. About £16 for two games, but there were some days where there are deals. If you want a drink while you bowl you can with a selection of lager and cider. Even got an arcade inside.

Really good fun with my friend, we went on a Wednesday after 6 so the price was cheaper, did two rounds. Also got some food, the pizzas are massive so would say share one between two, but they were really good. Had some cocktails as well they were really nice and cheap.

The management team was superb. We had an issue and they sorted everything out for us with great care. I wish places had the amount of care that this place does. The bowling alleys are great as well, the screens are super easy to follow and the names you can set for yourselves make it really fun if you want to go by an alter ego. The drinks are super affordable and the food looks great from what I’ve seen. Overall I would recommend this place because it offers good bowling and a lot of arcade games (such as Mario kart and Pac-Man basketball) and they also serve nice looking food and great drinks for an amazing price nowadays.

Front of house staff fabulous, warm and welcoming. The place is much better since the refurbishment, the toilets are a million times better. The only reason you didn't get give stars was because of the miserable member of bar staff, blonde lady... A smile costs nothing.

It was a really nice place to go bowling. It was very comfortable seating for everyone and plenty of space... unlike tenpin bowling in Nottingham. The only criticism is that the bowling balls were pretty beat up and there weren't a lot of them so they could do with changing them and getting a better option of bowling balls.

Bowling was good fun and the bar was decently stocked for a bowling venue. Only downside was we wanted to play in the arcade but neither of us had cash to change to coins, but no cash machine in-venue, so we had to leave. Otherwise, was really fun!

Good venue recently re-furbed. Speak to staff re lane allocation as tendency to bunch people up when the place is half full. Asked last night for a different one as we were on a date night with no kids so didn't want to be in the middle of a party who were having great fun as they should be doing. The night at this bowling alley was great, we were given space for ourselves and the drinks were super cheap. Kyle and Talia made sure we were at the right lane and told us exactly where our lane was and got us there without any problems. Massive shoutout to Emma, Chris, Ava, Coree, Dave, Morgon, Sam, Laura, McKenzie for great customer service and making sure we always have food and drink at our table. Nottingham bowl is probably the best bowling alley I’ve been to.

Upon walking through the door I was asked by security to remove my baseball cap. This is the first and only place this has happened to me and I found it very strange. The other guests and I decided to get a cool drink and settle near our lane while we waited for the others to arrive. The music was good, bringing back the 2000s vibe! The DJ was on it all night! We had 2 games of bowling which were absolutely fantastic, none of us had bowled in at least 10 years, so it was hilarious to participate and even more so to watch. The overall atmosphere was cheerful and competitive, making it even more fun. We ordered some food from the bar(they bring the food to your lane) and a few drinks, they do serve alcohol here. The food was good, with classic meals such as hotdogs, nachos and fries. I definitely recommend this place for a fun night out with your friends.

The actual bowling has improved since the refurb with lines on the skittles so less waiting around for resets. But luckily the amazing manageress who always has a smile is still there. Great value on student nights, but the music has been overly loud when I've gone and games get quite pricy on other nights during the week. An advantage is the upstairs space which means you're likely to turn up and get an space without booking. The seating layout is weird, not great for big (4+) groups who want to spectate and play together comfortably at one lane (i.e. without sharing seats). The flashing lights at the downstairs lanes are very distracting.

I had a great time at Nottingham Bowl, the bowling alley was automatically set up for us, the pizza was great and service was very quick. The only draw back was that the bowling alley would not reserve lanes without a payment made in full, unfortunately I found out about this fairly late on. So I booked 16 tickets for 3 games of bowling 🎳, then 5 people dropped out on the day. We went at 6pm on a Saturday afternoon, actually there were plenty of lanes, next time I would take the risk.

Really lovely experience bowling — the staff, especially Megan, were so lovely and helpful with everything we needed, even though it was really busy. They were informative, served us drinks really quickly, reset our lane when it went wrong, and were just generally really well-informed and friendly. I decided to book last minute for me my daughters and our friends to do bowling and karaoke. When we arrived we were given the choice of what to do first (great stuff) so we chose bowling, we were told which lane to go on and asked if we wanted the barriers up, which we said yes please and proceeded to go to the lane, we started playing but the barriers weren’t up so I went back to the desk to be told they were up they just didn’t look like they are anymore I took his word for it and had my go to find that A- they were most definitely down, and B- that the screen although had our names on it wasn’t active to record our score (not a very accurate score in the end!) So I went up again and once again said the barriers weren’t up and that our game wasn’t being registered! Finally that was sorted for us although a couple of gos for a couple of our plays registered as no pins knocked down before we had even taken a shot! We then decided we were going to order food to find that the kitchen didn’t open until 5pm…during the kids holidays!! Craziness! So we had to raid the vending machine as we had 4 hungry kids! The prices of the venders were extortionate at £1 per item! And quite a few empty items! And the bar wasn’t much better each having a none alcoholic drink and it Totalling to £20! So although we had lots of fun bowling and and laugh singing I really think things could have been better organised for school holiday times.

Much improved since it reopened under new ownership. I believe they have a further 10 or 12 lanes or something upstairs as well but I’ve not seen that. They have some well priced offers, bar and the arcades which I’m not ashamed to say also keep me entertained for a few hours at the end of our game. Only gripe, like everywhere else in Nottingham, students seem to get to bowl for really cheap whereas the working adult has to pay full price. Would be nice to benefit from a discount once in a while too.

Fun. But please don't buy the cocktails they look good but you can't drink them they are just there to make money and get left on the tables. Which aren't level! Isn't that all you need from a table? Your drinks will slide off requiring the game to stop during the clean up.

Wednesday prices are great. Facilities are good. Just don't bring your own balls to play down stairs. I bought 2 from the pro shop upstairs and within minutes of use they have deep scratches and gouges in then from the ball return . I did email to make them aware but have since heard nothing back.

Upstairs is much better than downstairs. My friends and I come weekly and have our own balling balls and when we're downstairs we come away with a lot of scuffs on our balls from the ball returns. The lanes also aren't oiled downstairs so this leads to poor bowling. Drinks and food are reasonably priced for such a venue, and the price for games during discounted days are great. My partner did email regarding the ball scuffs over a week ago and has yet to receive a response.

Parking is easy and there are plenty of lanes. Lots of refurbishment going on at the moment. Toilets sometimes out of order and only the 1 disabled toilet available. Food is reasonable for the price.

Aimed at students: Although a more run down bowling alley than the Tenpin alternative at Nottingham, the games (at least for students) are far cheaper at 2 games for £5 or 3 for £7, which you will only find for certain times/days elsewhere. Plenty of alleys so you shouldn't have a problem and the food there is quite nice too!

The refurbishment looks fab, however the staff were rude, they refused to put the sides up because we didn't have children with us. Yes we are adults but that doesn't make us professional bowlers. It was also super hot in there, I assume there was an issue with the air con that day but I didn't mention it as the staff were so rude and dismissive over pressing a button to put up the sides. Lovely place but shocking customer services.

I've not come here in years but they still use string pins and an old scoring system. Bumpers have to be up for everyone or down, not impressed and the bumpers look dilapidated and only working when a staff member notices and comes to manually unstick it from the lane. Sticking with my local alley. For the price I would not recommend bowling here. But they do have digital darts which is at an excellent price.

Family day out, and really enjoyed it. Yes the place is tired and I need of a lot of TLC, the place needs a good refurbishment but the fun didn't stop. Had food which was fabulous, the lady made sure our kids got there's in quick time. It was good food for a good price. The video games were loved by all, if again not old. The bowling was fab. The balls or lack off were badly damaged. The stand for the kids to use was broken, but we had a great time. My only concern was for the 3 staff who did there job more than well. 3 staff on a Friday at half term. Surely anyone can see that's not enough. Well done lady's our trip was very good. Thank you

A lot of the balls were heavily damaged and there didn't seem to be a lot of selection of sizes. Also some of the pins didn't load, and the scoring was way off. I appreciate it's a busy place but to be honest it could do with a facelift and some redecorating. Saying that the bar prices were fair and the food was good, so have given it an extra star for that. Was a good night out which we all enjoyed, apart from the scoring

Review edited as the bowling alley has had a major overhaul. Much better then it used to be, the alley is a fun place to be now and we will definitely be coming back! Pins are reset by cable, which isn't great but it's fine if you're not trying to play pro level. Customer service could still do with some work, with things like the bar being left unattended most of the time (they missed a lot of sales from our group of 20 who gave up trying to get a drink!)

The staff are really not bothered. Was waiting for a long time. They put us in the 2nd before the last row. And half way through the game. A group of people (like 10) go on the end row. First they start robbing our bowling balls. Then they are buying alcohol and being really loud. One of the ladies near the bar, saw and just didn't say anything. Not even could you calm down? As there was family's with children.

Bowling balls really beat up if you can find any at all on busy times. Some of them have bits chipped off which makes it to roll unevenly. Bowl guard quite often gets stuck. For the price you pay it definitely needs a refit and being brought to XXi century... We only visit maybe once a year due to really poor conditions. It's OK to do something different than fun parks etc but it's not great.

The refurbishment has gone down well with me. Everything seems to have changed or a makeover done to it. Softer seats to sit on, new gaming machines, bowling balls, pool tables and a better menu I have been told. The makeover for toilets remains unchanged though but still beats a lot of other venue toilets. I believe they have to keep up with the times as there will be another bowling alley opening in few years time towards the broadmarsh which will be in direct competition with them. Try the new refurb bowling alley if you haven't done so already. I am sure you will enjoy the experience like I did.

We had fun overall though the experience was tarnished by very poor service (in addition to the place being quite understaffed for a Saturday, staff were inattentive to customers and would often stand around chatting while we clearly needed help). Additionally, our lane kept having technical difficulties all throughout our games and little was done to address this. Probably won’t be coming back.

**Recent update 18/04/19 Received a facebook message saying they have my childs ukulele. It only took them 8months to tell me, even when i sent them a email the very next day. Well at least we have two now as I bought a new one straight after losing the first. Good fun for families, arcade, BAR, and food. my son lost his ukulele, there and nobody handed it in, so be careful with your belongings. I don't know if somebody picked it up while we was distracted or if my youngest put it down to play on the arcade games. But we entered with it and left without it. I always check behind us, that nothing is being left behind everywhere we go. *Mother to 3*
