First time using the hub in April 2022. Took my 5 and 10yr old swimming. The small pool was lovely and warm, the main pool not too bad! Changing areas are communal with different sized cubicals for different family sizes. Lockers are £1 with is refunded after use. Parking free. Lovely place to visit.

Not only is Afnaan a pride to live wire but he also sets the bar for any customer service role. Remarkably likeable and cheery, he is a pleasure to converse with at the front desk, making any customer new or old feel a warm sense of belonging. Afnaan goes above and beyond to ensure the needs of customers are met, you truly can rest assured that he will find a solution to any issue or uncertainty you present him with. A pleasure to meet and I wish him well in the future.

We turned up for a swim to be told we had to book a time slot. It didn't say this online and we didn't see anywhere to book online so had to book and pay there.We had to sit in the car and wait over an hour for the next available swim session. Whilst waiting to be signed in someone else was on the phone with a booking. The woman took the persons name, address card number and pin. If this is how you have to book a thete slot we won't be going there again. The swim area and changing rooms were very clean.

I dont normally leave comments on any experiences but I just called over today with my wife to enquire about membership for myself with swimming being my prime interest...Got to say the gentlemen on reception (Phil Kehoe) was absolutely brilliant 👏 he took time to explain everything and still served customers waiting. Once he has another advisor on the desk he gave us tour around the facilities resulting in a 3 consecutive days free trail....took his time with no pressure....so if all goes well I will be applying for a membership. Well done Phil and thank you for your knowledge and time today it was very much appreciated. As a member of staff he is a credit to Livewire organisation.

Recently started using this facility, lead up to Xmas fitness regime !!! But very helpful on my initial visit, pointed me in the right direction for swimming pool access. Not accustomed to the communal changing areas, but seperate booths for all. Good clean facilities, swimming pool can get slightly cramped, would be beneficial to book yourself in prior to attending the venue. Steam room and sauna both clean and functional.

Nice clean facilities. A huge step up from my local swimming pool (Kingsway, Widnes). Pool is smaller but there seems to still be plenty of room as they are still limiting numbers due to restrictions. Easy to book if booking for 1 person as its all done online. I've knocked off 1 star as we are booking as a family to give the youngest some more pool time and that means having to call to book. Wouldn't be a problem but the phones ring out constantly. Took half an hour of constant redialing to get through last time.

The gym is decent, but if it’s first thing in the morning or after work you may have to wait for equipment due to peak times like anywhere else. It’s always clean and staff are friendly, my problem is the warmth. You walk in and it hits you straight away, also the spinning room is really warm, for some reason the air con doesn’t kick in until the last 5 minutes but staff have been told. In the main gym there’s a slight breeze which is better than the spin room. I am swapping to a different gym, only because of the lack of air con here and that the pool times don’t suit what I’m after. You do have to work around the school kids if you want to swim.

After the long wait for the pool to reopen i ventured last week and will not be going again. Really disappointed, no natural light at all in the pool 'room', communal changing areas and 3 showers!!! The attendants had locked the group changing/showers... which was good timing when about 30 women were due to get out of the pool... but heard they had reopened them aftewards.. On a plus side for families there are big changing rooms with baby facilities and plenty of lockers... Like another review a 'foot pool' was to be put in place to prevent people walking through the pool area with shoes on - this has not been done.

The badminton courts: A bit let down for my taste as I was expecting the roof height is much higher like in Orford. If you hit the shuttle a bit high, it will touch the metal structures on the roof which is not ideal. I do not know how they missed this point! So it should get 3 star. Swimming pool: Its very nice and should get 5 star. Gym should get 5 star rating as almost all the equipment is newly installed. Its fantastic. They also have a machine to give you detailed body mass index details, you will need to pay for this in many facilities, but its free here! Overall rating for this facility should be 4!

Decent enough facilities but hygiene is a concern. Soap dispensers in the toilets near the gym are often without hand wash. A dispenser will be empty early in the week and a few days later still the same. Hand sanitiser in the gym is often empty too. It's quite clear that checks at the end of the day are not carried out by staff. Another thing is that equipment that seems to break or sometimes disappear is not replaced quickly enough.

An Alright Gym, nice swimming pool, no indoor tennis court, closes early on weekends (6.45 PM being too early). Most of the staff is helpful except some who are quite the opposite and rude.

Great new addition to live wire Warrington Hobbs Great Sankey is a ride at the top very clean very new equipment is always a great edition staff is super friendly as a disabled sportsman you want to be able to train in a really good environment and be able to use facilities where you can get accessible showers and Great Sankey hub Hayes second to none.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that this is run by Warrington Council. The facilities are first class loads of classes an excellent and large gym and coming soon a swimming pool.

I think that the gym is okay got a few leakages they need to sort out, the staff pretty much all of them apart from a couple are all very arrogant and pathetic really rude but there are some really nice staff to but if you are easily annoyed I wouldn’t recommend coming this gym because you will have busy body staff on your case all the time.
