D. P.Slicks is the best sports hall in the area.
Covering two floors of English pool, darts, American pool and snooker (and a sports bar, on the top floor), it’s excellent value for money- you can either pay a day visitor price (currently £2.80) or get a year’s membership for £12, with new members getting their first hour free.
The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a decent selection of drinks available- I’d recommend local Brewery ‘Pauls’ with their dry cider being a favourite.
There is good music and a chilled atmosphere and it’s certainly a lot cheaper than other sports halls in the wider area.
Just note, that’s whilst it closes at 11pm during the week, it’s worth coming down by 10pm, because if quiet it will close, earlier.

A. M.Staff are very friendly and the membership is fairly priced, as are the light prices. Could ddo with updating the decor a tad, maybe a few craft ale's on tap wouldn't go a miss either

I. J.Played snooker. Tables are much as you would expect, a few divots in the cloth and cushions are a bit dead. But it's not the crucible after all. £4.80 an hour, so pretty reasonable for an evening out!
R. H.Love this place, great atmosphere, lots of pool and snooker tables, friendly service, lots of choice in drinks and food, a fair few dart boards, could use to have the lights replaced for them as some are off colour now, but the staff are great helpful and friendly. Would seriously recommend

M.I've always had a great time there if you like your sport games it's the place to go I've also found staff to be lovely it's an old building lots of stairs it has a lift and a boulcony bar which is a real treat in the summer if you have not been chck out what they have going on and give it a go thumbs up from me

H. M.Most of the tables are kept well although a few are a bit tired. The non member fee is pretty annoying and make things very expensive with a group.
