Moved to York a couple years back not knowing anybody in the area and hadn't played rugby for 10 + years, so was understandbly nervous at first. But each and everyone of the members at the club made me feel welcome right from the off, and plenty of support offered to those that haven't played for a while (if ever). So glad to be part of Tree's!

Great Club. Most welcoming group of lads. Very Family orientated. I've played rugby league to a very decent standard. I've played football and run a football club for years. Playing rugby union with Rowntree's is the most fun of the lot, and that includes joining just before lockdown. To a man the club is so very welcoming not only to new players & social members but also the family's of those players and social members. In summary I couldn't recommend Rowntree's enough no matter your playing ability or as a social member

Hadn't played rugby since pre covid at Uni but went down with these guys and they are all so welcoming. Everyone comes from different walks of life but you wouldn't know as we are all just a team when on the pitch, and mates when off!

great friendly club, picked me up in the pub six years ago whilst playing social rugby. Now entering a new chapter of life in the Yorkshire leagues, wonderful bunch of lads. Caters for complete novices through to those at the end of their playing days wanting the odd run out or just the social aspect of a rugby club

Having moved to York 4 years ago as a newcomer, a friend recommended that I get myself down to a Rowntrees training sessions on a Tuesday. Very welcoming club with a great group of people involved at every level of the club. Anyone looking for a new club, a way back into the game, or just to socialise and make new friends will find Rowntrees more than welcoming.
