Small local shop selling a wide variety of fresh and chilled products. Has a post office counter inside and a number of small businesses on the outside of the shop and a cash machine. Car park and post post boxes next to shop.

I find CK's quite expensive compared to other shops locally. The range they sell as well isnt that great, but, it is right next to student accommodation so i guess they do cater for that clientele. Its a handy shop to have round the corner but plan on changing the shopping list if you go in.

Great little (not too little actually) store. My shopping list was eclectic, rose wine, nappies, crisps and chocolate! Guess what? CK had the lot, easily found and just as easily checked out too. Great parking, excellent selection of goods, no need to go to the bigger names in Aber'.

Good store with an okay selection. You can get most of what you need here as a university student in terms of general household utilities but it lacks the variety of big superstores like Tesco which is only a bus fare away.

Very helpful staff. Haven't visited for some time, but like the new layout and the in-house post office. A great array ofv produce, homewares, etc. An Aber student's dream!

Really good range of meat and good prices, but a lot of the other products are a bit more expensive than other local stores. That said, it's really convenient, both location and car park. We use it regularly during the summer months when we are there and have had some great bargains in the reduced meat section!

Always worth remembering that you don't need to go into town for your usual supermarket items. CK is bound to have it. Strangely bigger in the inside than on the outside! Plenty of room in the aisles with a very large variety of competitively priced goods. The staff are friendly and helpful. A small post office was, until recently, alongside the store. But the PO, in their wisdom, have downsized to a matchbox at the end of the far till.

A lot of things are overpriced. Good selection of meat and bread at good prices. Good place to stop and pick up a couple of bits rather than doing a full shop. Store looks a bit grubby and queues can be long.

I'm not from round these parts, seems a good option when Morrisons etc are closed. Decent booze selection. Hot pastries. Prices acceptable. Can't complain!

Whether you need bread or milk because you ran out, food because you forgot to order some, or alcohol to drink alone during a heartbreak, CKs is the student's best friend

CKs is part of Aberystwyth student culture. It has students divide on quality, price and weather or not you're going to get food poisoning. On one hand it's got an in store butchers and bakery leading to lower prices. On the other hand some of the chicken is sourced from Romania leading to concerns of animal welfare and general quality of product. The store seems to constantly be shuffling its stock around so the location of your favourites is never really certain. The opening times are excellent though, if ever you're caught in a pinch, CKs will usually be open to save you a walk down penglais hill. CKs also sells a large range of Welsh products that most of the big stores down the hill won't have available. CKs could be a students dream but first it has to decide where it wants its products, ensure that the meat sold is of highest standards and keep those prices competitive as there has been a slow upwards creep.

For Aber students who live on accommodations on top of Penglais hill CK's is where you get emergency food and supplies. I wouldn't suggest it for buying fresh meat and veggies. They're usually open until 10pm so if you didn't get a chance to go to town for food or ran out of something to eat there's always plenty of options to cook from CK's.

Near the university accommodation village, it's geared to student life. Open long hours, ATM as well as cash-back at the till. A good, handy mini supermarket.

OK selection but quite expensive, really a place to go to if you live in halls and can't be bothered to do the hill to Tesco or Morrisons. Some of the staff are slightly unnerving.
