I like shopping at Tesco but I've heard that more self service tills are replacing cashiers. Whilst I don't mind using a self service till for a few items I much prefer to be served by a person. I enjoy the interaction, find it quicker and doesn't incur any frustration if an item won't scan or needs to be age checked. I feel overall that there is nothing better than a real person to serve you, especially for the elderly, disabled and those who do not use technology. The store is clean and well stocked and I do find the staff friendly and helpful.

Great place to shop with everything you could need. Only problem is they don't have a good amount of stock of halal beef - if they could regularly keep up with their halal beef supplies then that would be great!

I remember when this place looked awful but since the refurbishment, it's brilliant. A better shopping experience. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Asda Small Heath, down the road, could learn a thing or two. Keep up the good work 👍

Worst tesco I've ever been too. Fruit & veg looked far from fresh. Half price toy sale was rubbish!! Staff far from friendly, security guard glaring at everyone. Gave 3 stars because of the lovely guy on the customer services. If it it was for the store itself they'd get 0.

Well stocked and large store. My only issue is that they are always understaffed on the self scan and scan as you shop checkout. Whoever is working there is having to constantly run around to both sections which (through no fault of the employees) means that customers are often left waiting (and often complaining).

The best place to shop the veg is very fresh and tasty the fruit is your Amazing my favourite is you can find so much organic stuff and fresh bread in a store baking but one thing I don’t like is rising prices for Carrier bag there are so many different ways you can do instead of charging 20p a bag it’s nothing but 5000 people taking bags every day it’s a lot of money and nothing is changing about recycling plastics

There isn't any staff for helping out. Not enough aisle for food products, also on the expensive side compared to other supermarkets. Needs more family bay parking near the front entrance.

One of the better large Tesco Extra stores. Generally quite busy on evenings or weekends. Plenty of variety, good discounts. Lots of FnF, household and electronics variety upstairs.

I give tesco at the swan in yardley a 4 star out of 5....because I have received fantastic customer service from their electrical department....fantastic...tidy...clean...everything correctly priced...and very friendly staff....i sometimes shop at nearby Asda small heath branch and find their electrical department a total mess....everything wrongly priced...some rude stuck-up staff who are clueless and think they know it all there...so i buy my electrical goods at tesco....but I find their fresh food really bad at tesco... shelves always empty....quite a fair lot of fruit and evegtables wrongly priced and the staff very unfriendly and seem bored pretty messy aswell...so i buy my fresh fruit at asda because the quality is better there and you get what you want with a smile and a hello there every morning at 8 o'clock when i buy my lunch for work....meanwhile tesco.. the store is half empty no staff and no customers...no wonder people walk in and straight back out...probably confused thinking the doors were open but the store was shut.

Self scan ok if you only got 6 to 10 items but don't include loose veg or spirits to much messing about and have to wait for scanner to be reset also don't have enough room to do it properly either

Great shopping experience. Huge store offers plenty of variety, availability and selection of both groceries and other non grocery items. Ground floor is grocery items bakery + pharmacy. The 1st floor is non grocery items such as clothing, electronics, household items. Staff are helpful, store is rarely too busy, with a combination of checkout staff, self service and self scan facilities for hassle free shopping. 24 hour shopping (except Sat + Sun) makes a very convenient store to shop at. Parking is generally never a problem, the bonus is there is a Tesco Petrol station on the site opposite. My only slight criticism is you need a coin or token for the trollies.

I have shopped at various Tesco stores for many years. I have shopped exclusively at Tesco at The Swan Shopping Centre, Yardley since 21st March this year. When restrictions are finally lifted I will continue to shop here in preference to any other Tesco store. The staff are pleasant, polite and helpful. It is a pleasure to shop here, even at 6 am and I can usually get everything I need. Thank you.

Good shop at good location. Plenty of options as there is a large non-food section as well. Clothing, toys, household appliances, TVs, phones are sold here. There is also an in house pharmacy and halal butchers.

Black woman on top floor let's this store down. I've been going to Tesco for just over 3 years and in all that time I have not one seen her be friendly, helpful or even smile. Get rid of her, there's plenty of unemployed that would love her job. She is NOT customer friendly at all. Her Attitude stinks.

Staff are mostly friendly and helpful but considering they are a 24 hour store, shelves are often empty or there is little selection of certain a good. For example today, no free range whole chickens and no minced lamb. The butchers counter was also closed at 17:30 even though it's supposed to be open until 19:00. It's this type of thing that spoils a store that could be excellent.

Thank god for this store. I can get everthing in one place, caters for all without discrimination, ALL festivals are celebrated unlike review claim below. The scan and shop is PRICELESS, something other stores can't seem to replicate which is good i guess because I dont have to wait in a queue EVER and the points give you a little back every now and again. The staff are really nice downstairs-good customer service however I will say ONE person lets the whole team down, yes Pam the lady on the clothing till upstairs is Sooo Rude and miserable, i agree with the other reviews in that she NEVER smiles or uses a polite word, I hate being served by her in fact i change my mind about a purchase and leave it if shes working just so i can avoid her. At least she's not discriminating in her rudeness as i thought it was personal to me! If i were the manager, i would sack her without delay and employ someone deserving of the job, why keep paying a wage to someone who thinks the job and the customers are beneath her?

A nice and large Tesco store in Yardley. This store has is on two floors with a dvd section, clothing (men, women and children), electronics and tesco mobile phone centre, The top floor is about half the size of the supermarket. The downstairs is large with a mostly selling groceries including a world isle with a large selection of America and European foods too. The Tesco store is in a shipping center with Tesco taking up half of the shopping centre. The other half has shops on the other side. With a poundland, Subway, Greegs and a savers too The busses that go to the center are 11 that will contected to Acocks Green clockwise and to anticlockwise going towards the fox and goose. The number x1 and x2 go to the center too. They also go to birmingham town centre. This store is a large and a easy to use and access by Bus and Car.
