Reviews of Asda Filton Superstore
A. B.
Good selection of stuff at okay prices. Half the time I go in, there are no baskets to be seen, even when it's not busy. Appreciate that the staff are just doing their job but refusing to sell someone very clearly over 18 a single packet of paracetamol because they have no ID is a bit silly.
G.
Always good to come here for a quick visit or to get a big shop. They have a good range of produce and have a well prices cafe upstairs.
Plenty of trolleys and baskets abailable. There are toilets upstairs and downstairs and they are always clean. Store is clean, Tidy and we'll stocked.
C. B.
I shopping on Asda 4-5 time in a month
You can found like 95% item from you list so it’s a big store
4* for that cash machine and for the traffic around rush hour
M. M.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, very good customer service, good choice of food and clothing, couldn't meet nicer staff
P. P.
I like to shop there it's abit far away but good when my son takes as so yes I like it

I have been pleased with my visit to Asda Filton branch but for some reason when I enter the post code in the Sat Nav it always take me to somewhere else further away from the location. It would be helpful if the number of the building was mentioned on its website to aid in finding the location.
The staff were helpful and friendly, but a number of items mentioned on the website that are supposed to be available or have a drop in price were missing including the Halal cooked meats products like Kamar ballo, Tahira Chicken Sandwich Slices with Hot Pepper, Evim Sliced Beef Salami, Tahira Chicken with Tikka Sausage and other products. These products should be available in the same area were fresh and frozen Halal chicken and minced meats are placed because there is a visible sign on the area that makes them easy to find on the shelves. I was hoping there would be more attention to Halal products especially it is Ramadan where Halal food consumers cook more than usual and make more dinners and invitations. There were no dates to be seen as other stores make them visible at such times.
The George section of clothing did not have enough variety of clothes for bigger sized ladies, especially bras, underwear and pyjamas. Flip flops available were for men only.
I could not find also energy saving light bulbs and the staff tried to help me but found none.
Lots of parking space especially for disabled shoppers. I would definitely shop there soon again.

It is just a slightly bigger way side supermarket. Very little to choose from in Clothing. Better go to Asda in Cribbs Causeway.

Thank you to joy ( I think that’s her name ) on the checkout ,always polite ,lovely lady

I do a big shop in this Asda once a month. Normally, there will be 1 or 2 of my regular items unavailable. I don't feel this is too bad, I can't expect everything I want to be in stock 24/7.
The store is generally quite clean and tidy. I enjoy the music and the volume, although I guess that's down to taste. The scan as you shop machine is simple to use; in my last 6 visits it's only be out of order once.
The only couple of complaints I would make is that some everyday offers are not easy to find. For example, when I shopped online there was always a 3 for £10 offer on meat, however this offer is so difficult to find in store. I have asked staff before and their reply was 'some offers are just online' but I KNOW this one isn't. I could see a pack of turkey with the offer sticker on, but I couldn't find any other items in the offer to mix and match with!
The other downside is that too much of the store is serving yourself. I am generally there about 7pm and on most of my visits I haven't seen a single member of staff on a till. Don't get me wrong, my partner normally insists on using the scan as you go handset anyway, but when I'm by myself I like to be served by a human (or at least have the option!).
I find the staff are a mix. There have been times at the kiosk where I've been ignored for a while before being served, but there have also been very friendly staff who offer assistance immediately.
I would recommend the store if you're okay with serving yourself.

Staff are a little distracted at times, but the store is clean, set out well, despite either making your way round either stock or members of their pick team inbthe isles. Stock replenishment is an issue.

I went shopping at Asda Filton after my night shift for the NHS. Even though there were people who didn't qualify, but tried to push in, the staff turned them away, which made doing my shopping less stressful. Thank you so much for all your hard work, which in turn, made my life a little easier.
A. B.
I have shopped and worked here, and always enjoyed a friendly face, Asda prices, and efficient staff, 👍
M. K.
Left my laptop in the self check out, came back a few hours later rushed and scared as all my uni work is on it. Both the security guard and the worker at the customer service were very helpful and nice. 10/10 give your workers raises.
j. w.
Clean and tidy. Super friendly staff and the Ploughman's Quiche is delicious. Enough space for people in wheelchairs to sit to the table. Thanks Asda for putting customers ahead of profits
J. B.
Moderate queue to enter. They let us in in bunches of about a dozen. You can shop as a couple. One way system in-store. Best bet is to self scan with their phone app.
M. L.
Thanks to your mobility scooters I can actually get out of the house for a while and do my own shopping. I wish other shops like b&q would do the same. I used to spend a lot of money at b&q but since becoming disabled i can't walk around the store
A. K.
Good parking and good location as its situated in the Abbey Wood Retail Park. The Asda itself isn't the biggest but does offer a nice selection of everything you need and would want. The store is reasonably well sorted.

Most frustrated with fish counter. This afternoon at 2.15 7/4/17. Assistant insisted in packing my fish in a sealed oven bag which I like to cook fish in. But with head still on and unseasoned not good idea, surely another way of packing could be available as cook bag can not be unsealed. Training required as I tried to explain concept but she wouldn't listen. Ruined my afternoon!
X. H.
A great mix of food available both for the lunch run and the weekly shop.
This seems to be THE store for pre-prepared food ready to go in the oven. The meat isn't always the best quality as cheaper cuts are on offer.
In store bakery and delicatessen, clothing and limited electricals are available.
Seattle's Best coffee is available by the cup (order at the self serve, pay, then fill).
Grab and go food for lunches is on your right as you enter the store with a separate till point and the customer service desk.
Contactless payments are NOT accepted. Seriously bring a card and don't rely on Android or Apple Pay.
H. L.
The customer service desk was understaffed

Currently states on google that it’s open 24hours (updated 1 week ago), there is also a sign outside the shop stating opening hours are Monday 0700- Saturday 2200 and Sunday hours .... but the shop wasn’t open at these stated times, wasted journey
F. S.
Often lacks basic bits, but has some quite random things!! I.e today, no lamb mince, but loads of lamb livers and kidneys available? loads of speciality cheeses... no medium cheddar. If you want something specific I'd go to the bigger sainsbury across the road. I often wonder if asda is trying to target the student population more than others.....
K.
Decent medium sized Asda with all the the expected services. Cafe, toilets and pizza! Good parking and loads of other shops near by.
R. Z.
full selection
J. L.
The staff at the Filton asda provided excellent service despite anti social hours. I would like to commend Mani in particular for providing excellent service despite a couple of somewhat time consuming requests.
C. T.
The store is big enough for a quick look for clothes and homeware. Food section is good, staff helpful and friendly.
M. C.
Nice experience doing normal shopping
Fire alarm going off...... false alarm.. thanfully
Seceral seemed to find a joke highly amusing ....... not an issue until it erupts into an horrfic noise. Absolutely rediculous and very unprofesdional!
J. T.
Great place to do your weekly shop. Prices are some of the cheapest around, and the choice of goods is impressive. From groceries to homewear. Electronics to clothing, this place has it all.
L. H.
Shop assistant Claire was absolutely lovely...smiley, chatty and helpful. She really brightened our day!
L. P.
Shop easy to find what you need some staff friendly George at asda teeshirts .
A. A.
Well, I think that it's certainly nice to have a store like this next me ..... Loved it!
P. G.
It's ok but they tend to lack stock of things quite often.
The parking is big though
J. N.
It's really handy to have an Asda nearby, staff were happy to help and did so cheerfully
Loos available and baby changing facility.
J. M.
Reasonable prices open twenty four hours lots of choice. Good shop... Will always end up buying more than you need...
E. P.
Good range of knock off items shows competition with aldi/Lidl, both of which are local. Some decent bargins, especially in the early hours!

A small local Asda, same great prices and offers but doesn't carry the full stock. But on the whole I usually find what I need.
S. R.
It is a great local store, but it doesn't have enough product "for a 24hs Asda". 😉
B. B.
Great Asda well stocked but I needs more apple juice 👍
A. S.
One of my 3 favourite shops in Uk. Always plenty of choice what you want to buy.
