Reviews of Asda Patchway Supercentre
J. G.
Stopped off on way home after 5 hours travelling for a meal and a drink. Ebony greeted us with a smile and despite being busy made conversation while serving us and was accommodating. Excellent customer service from her. Food was hot, well presented, good sized portions, cafe is clean. Great teamwork in the cafe (sorry don’t know names of lad waiting tables and girl in kitchen). Thank you, we will definitely visit again, a very positive experience

I am all about good customer service specially when people go up and beyond. I had misplaced my wallet outside asda petrol station. When i wemt back the security person right at the entrance of the store politely helped me trace it. He got in touch with his seniors who were very prompt in looking at cctv. I came home as I was with a small child. They made sure to call me back and update. I did not find my wallet (as i had lost it out ona street) but i am so thankful to the security team who did look.for it. This is my favourite Asda store. 😍

Wanted to leave a review for annaleigh, she was so helpful to me and my kids a couple of days ago when we were in the store.. really lovely, made our experience great
N. S.
Love the fact that it's spacious and that everything is well organized compared to the Filton ASDA store. But often one of the items on my list is not in stock at this ASDA, and it's usually vegetables or fruits. Other than that, this store is one of the best ASDA I've been to.
R. L.
Open 24 hrs - Not everyday - petrol station 24 hrs - pay by card
Even thou shop open, the night shelf stacker's and woman manager not even in uniform - rude - you do not even get a morning or hello - pallets and gages dumped everywhere with some ailes blocked off so you can not get to the goods. The most friendly person is Christine on the card/cash self service tills.
Customers dump trolley's all over the place and even people walking around in nightwear which should be stopped. This morning 13th June - An Asda worker clearing plants but smoking on the job, you also get the women chatting and leaving you waiting a the tills - not want you want after a 12hr night shift.

Still lazy people parking in blue badge spaces and not displaying a badge. The parking company could make a lot of money checking and fining.
N. R.
Nice big Asda with good product range. However there is a distinct lack of own brand goods available in all Asda stores now
R. H.
Lovely well stocked superstore rivalling American Walmart stores in size. No guns though ;)
R. H.
We went into cafe for breakfast, it was the best veggie breakfast we have had for a long time. The service, was outstanding. Staff were really friendly. 10 out 10. Would definitely recommend.
P. T.
Very well presented store with excellent quality of service
G. L.
Was met by the most dreadful smell of sewage as we entered the store, this has been ever since the refurbishment. Can this not be cured?
Stopped off at the cafe and was served by women who really didn't want to be there, her attitude to customers was appalling. Won't use the cafe again.
J. B.
Ok so it's big and as pretty much everything, prices are very good. Clothes section is better than other Asda stores. Staff are polite and helpful. Only disappointment was the magazine's have become very unorganised recently.
c. s.
They still have mask wearing and social distancing in place, able to shop with confidence. Whilst shelves were not as stocked as usual, still plenty of good value and variety of products for a normal weekly shop.
A. F.
I do love this Asda I can never usually complain but today I used the scan and go as I was in a bit of a rush, however when I got to the checkouts my trolly was selected for a ‘quality check’ this is usually fine as they scan 10 items and you’re on your way, instead for some reason she ended up scanning 90% of my items meaning I might as well have gone through the normal check outs! Also I didn’t realise she used her scanner on the till instead of mine for me to pay so when I checked my receipt when I got home I didn’t even pay for about £20 worth of items! If she had told me she was overriding my scanner then I might have said something at the time but there was little to no communication on to why she was scanning more than 10 items! Trying to stop people stealing by doing ‘quality checks’ but your staff are stealing for you!

While i was shopping tonight aound 10.30 pm. i met a lovely lady called Francis ( i maybe spelled wrong) i need assistance she was collecting shoping for delivery she kindly helped me and sort my problem , i was with kids. She didn't ignore me and left her work to help me , really appreciated her!!
N. J.
Just been to the cafe in Asda Patchway and the service I received was amazing. The lady who served me (Pam) was incredibly friendly and cheerful and provided excellent customer service. In addition, the young man who brought me my food was excellent too. I thought the food and coffee I had represented very good value for money. I will definitely return!
L. L.
Offers a wide range of affordable fresh fruit and vegetables. Not busy in early morning hours, no ques at those times.
G.
Good store with lots on offer.
There is a large George section, electrical and entertainment, and everything you need for your home all under one roof. They have an optitions and a pharmacy inside too.
This store does get very busy, and at times the queues can be quite long.
There is a click and collect service here as well, in the form of a hub, which is clever.
They also have a cafe which is open serving a limit menu during these covid times.
J. L. (.
Greeted by a very aggressive women in the cafe on the till, asked to change the tomato and mushroom on the breakfast which I don't eat and was told very abruptly that the could only be changed for hash browns, I have no problem with that but her manners left a lot to be desired. When my wife asked for a tea with her breakfast she was told to wait until the food order was taken....... Nice customer service skills. Breakfast was nicely presented.
S. P.
Fantastic store, had everything you came for, but the staff were amazing, I asked 2 members of staff for assistance, sad I didn't get their names, but they went out of their way to assist me, one item was out of stock, and she gave me a date for when it was back in stock, highly recommend this store, overly pleased when leaving.
S. D.
Shop floor staff not very helpful and so glum looking, but I want to say what a lovely helpful man that collects trolleys outside, I only needed a little trolley which he went and found 4 me then even came around the store to find me, I think he was a middle aged meditrainian man and he was lovely.
H. G. B.
Excellent customer service skills by Ryan on Bakery, I have been shopping here for many years! I can always tell when Ryan is on shift, you just need to see the Bakery dept, as it is always well stocked and faced properly to know he is in. He is always friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble! he is a credit to Asda. Most staff are friendly, and have some great offers.
d. h.
Very large supermarket with a vast range of products , the kind of place where you end up filing your trolley with items you didn't know you wanted and definitely didn't need. Just how many hot sauces do i really need. Doh. But keep your eyes peeled and you can pick up some good bargains. Plenty of parking space.
J. W.
Warning! Someone ran off with our trolley while we were repacking the boot. There had only been salad stuff left in our shopping bag, so we found it and our trolley abandoned a few cars away. Presumably they were hoping to find more expensive stuff
K. G.
Nice size has everything I ever want or need. Shop here all the time. Plenty of parking has a pharmacy, Cafe, media and opticians inside as well. brilliant quality of clothing!! Petrol station is there as well.. Also has cash machine's
R. B.
worker went out of his way to get us some prime
T. P.
Not happy that the Click and Collect area has gone. We drove round 3 times looking for it. Phoned up but got cut off. Finally found new area round the back. Its better organised but requires the app although they staff just took our details and let us have our shopping. Would have been better to have notified of exact location on the 6+acre site.
M. t. p.
My experience I had one Sunday was great. I went with my family and we were served by a very nice young woman who I believe was named Harriet. She was very friendly and polite. She was always smiling and was happy to help. Thanks Harriet you made our Asda trip worth while!
A. K.
We found this to be a very big and good Asda supermarket with huge choice and a great selection of produce. It offers both traditional as well as exotic items. There is loads of parking and it's location is great for when you are out shopping in Cribs causeway on a Sunday and realise you need to do some shopping.
t.
Huge store with alot of parking. But be warned about the traffic around that area at christmas time. One time a few years ago i was stuck in traffic for over 2 hour, and an hour and a half of that was queing to get out of the Asda carpark itself! When you going to do something about the sewer smell coming from inside the entrance at the fruit and veg end? Disgusting.
D.
This particular Asda store receives a full five stars from me.
The last time I was in the Bristol area was a good decade or so ago. And this store was branded as an Asda Wal*Mart Supercentre.
The exterior of this supercentre has been completely refurbished with neon signage, and with black and green cladding and frames. The cheap white and vinyl cladding and signage has been replaced. The signage just says Asda once more. Nearly all of the photographs of this store on this site are now out of date.
The interior has been completely remodelled, with a fresh, made to order sushi counter added. The other counter services are still available, fish, butcher etc. The exception being a delicatessen counter. They've been removed from nearly ALL Asda stores throughout the country.
The customer cafe is now an, order from and waited on at table restaurant with an excellent menu.
Timpsons dry cleaners and shoe repairs have also been added. Along with a Max Speilman shop, that has expanded from photo processing, into providing a barbers shop.
And of course, there is a wide selection of organic, ethnic world foods, and fresh produce available. Along with an impressive range of ambient, chilled, frozen and bakery free from products.
There is still a huge non-food and general merchandise department, along with George clothing here. The Beers, Wines and Spirits department now has soft lighting and wooden fixtures and racking to make it look different from other departments. LED energy efficient lighting has been installed in all store departments. The overall lighting effect is softer and not as harsh as it was before.
The petrol station has also been rebuilt, and there are more pumps than before. You have the choice of pay at pump by debit/credit card. Or, drive to pay at the kiosk, by cash or card. The kiosk is not a shop, just a staffed payment booth only. But, it isn't staffed 24 hours. It is pay at pump only overnight by card only.
My overall impression. The store now looks brand new. One could be forgiven to find it hard to believe, that it was built by another supermarket chain way back in 1977.

I have been coming to this Asda for years , and I can’t help but notice since the shop got a remake it always smells of the toilets when you walk in please can something be done about this as it can’t be healthy 😢🥲
P. F.
I recently visited here the other day for the first time. First impressions is this place is huge. Stock a wide range of products and the clothes section is impressive. Only sneaked in for a few cheeky cans of stella but from what I had seen I will definitely be returning to do my weekly shops. Definitely knocks Longwell Green Asda out the water in its size. But then again size isnt everything....or is it. 🤭👍
D. W.
Describe my recent experience of visiting Asda, Patchway... Always great savings to be had. Great range of products available, but don't leave it too late in the day as they do tend to sell out of some fresh items. Also very good for people watching as I drift from aisle to aisle pushing my trolley.
D. J.
I'm disabled and I asked for a motorised wheelchair which was provided in 2 minutes. This has always been my experience here - polite & friendly. I live about a mile or so from this ASDA and I've always found the staff to be efficient & VERY helpful. SO PLEASE IGNORE THESE GRUMPY SODS THAT ARE COMPLAINING!
This is a great store & has everything you could expect from a supermarket, and a lot more besides!
You should DEFINITELY try the ASDA unsliced Tiger Bloomer loaf - I've tried Tiger Bloomer loaves from both Iceland and Co-Op & they're nowhere near as tasty & or fresh as the ASDA one. Seriously, you've gotta try it - one taste & you'll be hooked, lol!
It definitely deserves the 5 star rating I've given them.

Asda at Cribbs Causeway is a very large store comprising George's as well as the Asda hypermarket. The entrance has recently undergone a little facelift. It can be difficult to find things simply because it is such a big store, but it does have a wide range of products. It's fresh vegetable and fruit section is large and wide ranging. It's fish counter is more basic. The assistants aren't always the most knowledgeable which does make it more difficult to find things due to it's huge size. It has a good coffee shop situated away from the main shopping area which means it is a little quieter and more pleasant to sit in. The prices are normally competitive.
D. C.
Self service check outs a pain. Keeps beeping and requires attendant. Also having rheumatoid arthritis can't pack bags quick enough so machine bleeps again. Good fresh vegetables n fruit today. Not always like this
S. T.
A big store with both grocery, and house 'n' garden departments. George's clothing, a chemist's, a create your own pizza, a bakery, photo shop, petrol station, with plenty of parking. There is even a machine that will cut keys for you. All with friendly helpful staff.
s. b.
Shopping was great.... load of choice. At low prices.... but when to get a coffee... let down..
Staff was clueless. wearing Jean's....... no uniform.... coffee was very weak and warm.
Was better b4 the refurbishment....
M. R.
Humongous shop with everything you could possibly need under one roof.
They usually have some great offers on.
The cafe is large and well equipped however the bland, re-microwaved food is nothing special. But the prices make up for this.
A. M.
Went to Asda Patchway this evening to get some Oreo doughnuts for my grandson, who is autistic, only to find none on shelf. My grandson staying tomorrow night so trying to explain to him that couldn't get any would be tricky as he will be upset. Went to bakery saw a lovely lady called Christina who after hearing my take of woe went and made some up especially for him. Would just like to say a big thank you to her she has made a little boy vey happy.
A. W.
Late night opening is good.
G. L.
Always shop here, in store and online. Usually some good deals. Customer service/Tobacco kiosk/Parcel pick up area is usually overcrowded and could use more staff at busier times.
S. P.
Problems again as things have been moved from where they were. It didn't get any better when I got in the queue at the checkout. After partly placing my shopping on the conveyor belt, I realised that it was not working. It was a case of move the shopping down, go and fill a bag, go and move shopping down so that the cashier could reach it, put more shopping on, go and fill a bag, and this went on until my shopping had all gone through. As a partly disabled person, I found this a painful experience that, could have been avoided, by a member of staff unloading my trolley whilst I bagged it up.
A.
One of the biggest Asdas in Bristol so has a lot more choice with their own brand and other brand names.
Has a pharmacy in the store where you can leave your prescription while doing your shopping and pick it up when you have finished.
Also has a cafe with reasonable prices.
K. i.
Always have a reasonable prices, good quality products. The staffs cashier they are politely but the queue sometimes take a bit longer then normal.
Well it is very pleasant shop there.
:)
M. M.
Still good value for tight budgets.
R. m.
I am a big fan of this store as it is a hypermarket so obviously much more to choose from and although Asda do not have a loyalty card scheme there prices are very reasonable and you can still get great offers.
The staff at this store are always very helpful and friendly.
D. W. (.
Since the refurb, I like coming here. Love the great choice of international food, staff is always nice. It is easy to find everything... finally. Definitely will be coming here more often.
M. S.
Large supermarket not the best experience never enough tills open at busy periods
L. D.
Was served by a lovely lady this evening on till 17 called farrier, she was very Pleasant and polite
A. S.
An ideal time to visit is mid-morning on a Wednesday during school time. Not too busy, the shelves well stocked and plenty of assistance available. A pleasurable visit so well done Asda
M. J.
The best experience we have at the opticians. 5* customer service, we were treated nicely, thorough, friendly and relaxing enviro. Well recommended anytime++.
j.
Very cheap and good quality food and drinks. Good variety of items including clothes from George and homeware goods. Friendly staff who help you. Good location near The Mall and handy because the bus stop is right outside.
D.
Big Asda!
h. w.
my friends and i were doing some shopping and thought we'd have a bite to eat in their cafe . fish and chips with peas . I'm not one to complain but we were disappointed with the fish , we should have asked what fish it was , it certainly wasn't cod . it was dry and the batter was soggy , not pleased at all sadly
K.
Very large store . Has Optician , Media section, cafe and George. You will find pretty much all Asda lines stocked here. However can seem pretty souless at times.
J. M.
Although they were offering facemasks at entrance... There were quite a few people that did not cover...
s.
Good supermarket, lots of space in the aisles and good clothes, homeware and toy selections.
N. G.
Huge store, with good variety of products including non food items and other services such as an Opticians. Quality of fresh fruit and vegetables is not great.
S. S.
A really great store with plenty of choice. Pam in the restaurant is extra helpful too. Toilets are a bit whiffy but generaly clean. Plenty of free parking too.
L. S.
Very quick service, with polite and informative staff, after 8pm. Needed emergency prescription and as they didn't have exact prescription. Able to give alternative. Very grateful 🙂
Z. O.
Usually good but just bought a very lumpy alpro yoghurt from Asda not impressed I don’t pay my money for lumpy yoghurt 🙃 please make sure u refrigerate ur products properly because I can’t get none dairy yodghurt at work and I bring it into work with me!!
C. C.
I would like to say how helpful the young lady in the photo print area is, I'm of a certain age and not technically adept, went in this morning 9 October to print photo's from my phone, unfortunately I didn't get her name but she is always eager to help and very cheerful.
M. M.
The staff here are not the friendliest. The items are a good range and usually in stock.
F. W.
i think, even tho. the cafe is better than the old.it could have been more cosier if there were coloured partitions as it is stark and to open.
Just saying
S. S.
Very large supermarket. Large cafe but coffee machines only offer black coffee and flask milk. Would have expected better
S. “. t. M. F.
Good roomy store. Friendly staff. Excellent prices & good quality food & other goods. Lots of free parking & cheap fule.

E. G.
An amazing place. Never seen such a huge shop. Lots of choice at great prices. Staff really friendly and helpful.
F. S.
The only comment I'd like to make at the moment is to Brian Crocker...your remark about chavvy customers is quite offensive..I am an Asda customer and would definitely say I am not 'chavvy'.
N. G.
Amazing fresh sushi bar. Very tasty, not seen anything like that in other supermarkets. Love it!
S. T.
Only went in to buy a cold drinkand use the toilet ...
S. W.
Always love to come to this Asda over others. Great range of George clothing, electricals, homeware and food.

L. G.
Really big supermarket, with food, clothes, toys, party decorations, stationery, kitchen stuff etc. Also has a petrol station up the road. Staff very helpful.
J. B.
Strange Hovis man walking around. He looked very pale I was worried for him. Too much bread in his trolly for one man. Nice crisps.
J. S.
Good shop but not as good as it used to be.
G. D.
Biggest Asda I've seen. Fuel station sells LPG too. Helpful attendant, knows his LPG system.
S. M.

(Translated) Was there on Sunday around 3. There was no food left, especially fruit. Lots of empty shelves. Not very neat inside the store. There are good discounts on some items.

Была в воскресенье около трех. Продуктов, особенно фруктов не осталось. Много полок пустых. Не очень аккуратно внутри магазина. Есть хорошие скидки на некоторые товары
V. C.
(Translated) Nice supermarket with reasonable prices. A very diverse range of goods is available for goods from Poland and other countries. Great for a variety of gluten-free foods. Huge parking and good attentive customer service. Convenient opening hours from 6:00 to 10:00 on Sunday from 6:00 to 5. There are toilets. It is a pity that the cafe is very small, but the vendors in this cafe are very attentive.
