Very good Nata’s and for £1 each (when I was there) they were a steal

Just perfect. Pastel de nata and coffee for breakfast. Very friendly staff and amazing food. Real taste of Portugal in Bristol.

Small Portuguese restaurant inside the St Nick market. Great variety of Portuguese food (francesinha, chicken piri piri, meatballs, cod, pastel de nata). Food tastes like homemade food, they accept card but don't sell alcohol. 4 tables, 2 inside and 2 outside. Friendly staff.

Amazing Natas, best we've ever had

Great food and great value too. I go there every now and then since it's decent value and the food is always great. It's always good to have some portuguese food to remember when I was still living in Portugal. Please continue working the way you do.

They make the best egg custard tarts in Bristol! The food is usually served with rice, chips AND salad for about £6 or less. This is one of my favourite places to eat

It's a very clean family business. The food is very tasty, home food. Pastel de natas are top! All dishes are worth a try.

I went to uni in Brazil and used to eat Feioada every day. I love coming to Bristol and going to Portuguese taste. It is so good and reasonable prices. I also recommend Antartica (soda with Guarana, a tropical fruit from Brazil) and the pasteis de nata (custard cupcakes) are to die for! (I am getting hungry now) Patty from Guatemala @Latinzest

Has been here at least 12 years, I first went down during Euro 2004 (don't mention the final…). The menu has barely changed in that time, but that's a good thing. Comfort food, Portuguese style – large platefuls of rice/chips with stews of cod, chicken, pork etc. Eat elbow-to-elbow at the tiny tables, or ask for takeaway. And you must try the pasteis de nata (preferably with a coffee). These rich, sweet and creamy egg custard tarts in crumbling pastry are a characteristic treat all over Portugal. They are also served now in places like Nandos etc. but Portuguese Taste made them famous around here and rightly so. I had my first one here years ago and the experience proved instantly addictive. So remember to stop by for one, even if you've already had your main course elsewhere! Just please don't take the very last one, in case I am on my way…

Great value, best to go early when food is at its freshest, I had the feijoada and it was lovely, not hot but again it's late for them and I did take a walk before eating it in castle park.
