Large local coop, has all the daily necessities plus more. The boots pharmacy inside is very usefull too. I love that there is small car trolley too for shopping with little ones, such a lovely idea. The factory store inside is also very handy & they have recently added a wonderful book swap station which is very popular with my boys. Highly recommend this store.

Good all round grocery store. Added bonus of in store Boots pharmacy, Original factory store, independent opticians and Subway, all under one roof. It's a small grocery store but still a decent size. Large car park and level access. A pleasant surprise.

It was clean n tidy was OK shopping. it was early when I went so wasn't busy, so sidnt see how staff handled busy checking out. Oh there is another shop inside selling non food items, that has a separate till, so be mindful which part you purchase from.

Nice store and contains pretty much everything you need (providing you have enough money to do your full shop here!) We tend to use it for bits and pieces as and when required. Over past year they havd added a subway and a clothing store inside. Plenty of parking out front and round side in overflow car park.

Convenient little supermarket to get a few small bits from. Can't tell if I like or dislike the fact there's a subway inside yet. The prices here are a little high compared to other supermarkets, but their bread and local foods section are high above other places. Wouldn't ever do a weekly shop here but its handy for grabbing a few smaller bits.

Is convenient to shop here and it has everything you need too, plus their price ranges are reasonable and you can get some good offers too. I especially like the £5 deal where you can buy 6 frozen meals including a dessert. Staff are always friendly and take the time to talk to you. Highly recommend others shop here ⭐

Have done all our shopping here since March as it is less busy than large supermarkets. Not quite as much choice as Sainsburys but always get everything we need and have felt completely safe. The staff are excellent.

I was very impressed by the kindness and care shown towards a customer by the lady on the till and one of her colleagues....the customer usually visited the shop with her carer but was shopping on her own today...the lady on the till was chatting to her asked if she was okay and the customer explained she needed a taxi; the lady on the till asked her colleague if she could call the customer a taxi, which she did, and was really kind to the customer. It's so heartwarming to see people treat others with such kindness. Well done for being lovely human beings, you wonderful Co-Op staff xxx 😍

You've got to admire the co op there is always a shop somewhere good food just watch the prices. But the food is always top quality staff always happy & always somewhere to park

Went straight through the shop to the in-house Subway sandwiches. Outstanding, spicy Italian with all the trimmings. Looking around the main store which has effective control measures in place, felt safe. However, only one member of staff at the subway was wearing adequate PPE, with the behind scene staff regularly entering the food service area without facemasks. Not a good picture to paint. That said, the sandwich was lovely. These comments have no reflection on the Co-op as they are fully compliant. Well done them, 4 stars.

Supermarket size co-op, holding fresh and frozen food. Clothing, home wares and drinks. Good range of seasonal and local products. Decent car park with good disabled and family friendly parking. Easy disabled entrance and a decent amount of trolleys and baskets.

Has most things you would need. Price is ok, not as cheap as Tesco or Sainsbury's generally. They may argue that that they are more supportive of local suppliers where they can (have got strawberries from the local fruit farm in the past). Even has a Boots chemist in store and a Subway!

Who doesn't love a little coop for a hit and run shopping. So much to choose from all compactly placed in a clean and brightly lit spot. Bakery items are delish, good wine selection and lits of staff continually stocking shelves. Wait times for checkout are always reasonable.

Overpriced food, which disgusts me. It's the same quality that you can find everywhere else. Branded foods are overcharged for, which doesn't need to happen. If you want the same food that you can buy somewhere else, I recommend you doing that, unless you wanna feel scammed slightly. The only great thing about this store is the fact that the fruit is of higher quality. If you want fresh and healthy fruit, id say go there. Otherwise, there's really no reason to go.

I have used this store for may years, always able to park and the shop is never too busy. I would put 5 stars but unfortunately this shop does not always stock everything i need. Staff are always friendly.

Store is fine but the Subway is something else, the woman with the blonde hair who seems to think she does not need a hair net is so incredibly rude, should you want your sandwich made in any way other than the way subway intended, I'm a 40 year old man if I want some bacon in with my chicken I don't need to be screamed at the it'll cost more if I start "messing about with it".

The biggest co-op in Colchester. Big selection including clothing, pharmacy and travel. Subway in-situ which is good if you like that sort of thing. Prices are not always as competitive as you'd hope - co-op seem to be riding on a strange curve of old peoples habits and providing local produce. Some own brand items are of very poor quality, such as their chocolate but is then justified by very good own produce (such as their rump steak).

A wasted journey. We checked the website before leaving home, it indicated a 21:00 closing time. By the time we walked there it was 19:30. The shop was already closed for the day. We are not impressed: they should have updated the website for the lock down opening hours.
