Reviews of Sainsbury's
M. W.
Well stocked and helpful staff. Great fruit and veg and in-store bakery - a cut above the discount supermarkets. Good value as long as you are selective in what you buy. Keep it up Sainsbury's!
M. S.
I have always enjoyed the space and size of this store. What I like most is the availability of gaining points on my shopping and also the fact Argos is located within the store. It can be quite convenient.
C. S.
Plenty of disabled parking here.
This is a huge store selling most foods and still has a delicatessen upstairs is a cafe and clothes.
There's also a Argos operating from here.
Also has its own petrol filling station.
So a huge choice. Highly recommended.
L. B.
Prices a little higher than other places but a good range of products and well stocked. Using the scan & go is always the quickest and easiest way
C. N. “. L.
The staff are friendly. Also I love the clothing, especially the Jeans. The sizes are right so I don't have to buy a size or 2 bigger.
C. D.
Well organised & clean. Some shelves a bit sparse. Staff helpful didn't just tell me where goods were, took me to show me.
S. H.
Came to pick up my birthday present from my daughter at argos. It's okay I think sainsbury needs a face lift it's dated
I. M.
Great place to shop. Found most of the items which I always look for, also Argos in store and very large collection of clothings, home decorations, candle and scents, kettle toasters, etc... Would recommend to anyone. Don't forget you got b&q next door to Sainsbury's and also petrol station on your way out. With spacious parking spaces available all the time. Staff are polite and helpful. Can't expect more than that.
A. A.
Very big store, they sell almost everything at amazingly low prices
A. N.
I particularly visited the Sainsbury's Petrol station where the petrol price is a little bit cheaper (I stand to be corrected) compared to other places. This station is not always crowded everytime I fuel my car, particularly in the morning hours. There is a member of staff who cleans the pumps and also there has been availability of disposable grooves.
M. S.
Good customer service, quick response, reasonable prices, easy collection process.
K. N.
Big and very convenient. Staff were great as well. Loved it
H. S.
Reasonable shopping experience on the whole but disappointed that my coupons didn't print at the point of payment. Could hear it trying to print but it had run out of paper!
d. b.
Staff friendly, sausage cob was toasted so dry and tasteless, coffee was not hot enough. Big let down really.
P. C.
Never had a problem shopping here , I've used it for years , helpful, clean and a wide variety of goods , food and electronics
D. W.
Went early this morning to get all veggies and finger foods snacks and drinks. Was ideal to shop èarly wearing masks to keep Covid safe think everyone doing same hand gel stations in few spaces so safe shopping everyone Merry Christmas
t. p.
Good staff just one small thing wish they would have more men's clothes and the car park is a joke at some times, shop is what you expect not bad at all
T. S.
As good as the other, great shopping experience, selection and service
l. d.
Nice big store. Had a good time there.
V. B.
Big with lots to see. Clothing laid out in a bit of an unusual way. Clean and tidy, staff helpful
J. W.
More than average supermarket/superstore. Good selection of foods and clothes. Comfortable cafe serving good value for money food and drinks. Disabled friendly with adequate and plentiful parking and 'escalator' plus lift to first floor cafe and clothing department. Also local Argos outlet within the store.
Cafe has since been revamped but not tried it out to date personally.
P. W.
Everything layed out well and very tidy. Wide stock range and a argos at the rear
J. Y.
Shop is ok but the pharmacy they closed down was not good👎
n. l.
Great store for big shops and little shops.
Also handy for argos and clothing purchases.
S. F.
Good quality and large selection of food and none food goods
A. R.
Good supplies on the shelves but only one checkout open, come on guys not everyone can use the self checkouts or smart shop handsets. However the woman who was "the lone ranger" on the tills was surprisingly cheerful.
C. T. V.
Standard sainsburys really least it has more on its shelves than asda
J. M.
Great selection lovely staff free parking
A. C.
Easy to locate items. Staff on hand to help when needed. Not enough tills open had to use self service when I had a small trolley full which was very tricky but staff were still very helpful and polite.
j. s.
Unfortunately couldn't get what I wanted, didn't know if they sold them or ran out.
Z. M.
Great shop but prices is little high and not to much special offers.
V. J.
Usual good quality but the toilets need sorting. They always appear to be broken and smelly with broken hand dryer. For such a nice store it's a shame to have such a horrible area
S. A.
It's a great store. It has very good customer service and also great hygiene. They try to keep the store as safe as possible and make people wait outside if it is too crowded. It has nearly everything you would need. Their is also an upstairs where there is the kitchen and clothing to buy.Overall it's a great shop, I'm satisfied when I come looking for something that I need!
M. A.
Lovely lady on selfscan ...very helpful with my donuts
L. W.
Lovely store, well laid out with a good sized carpark. Staff always helpful and friendly.
C. S.
A One-Stop Shop - this branch of Sainsbo's has virtually all the food items you could ever need, even specialist ones for exotic dishes. They have a really good range of household items and books, music and DVDs. There's even a vinyl section. Upstairs, the clean, bright and well-run cafe offers tasty meals at reasonable prices. The Sainsbo's clothing range also lives upstairs and there is loads to choose from for women, men and children. My only complaint is that Sainsbury's is on the dearer side of grocery shops.
P. W.
Straight in, got what we wanted and then to the tills. Surprised by the lack of some ready meals and also surprised by the great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. Not your fault, but I feel that it needs mentioning
M. M.
Definitely keeping social distancing at the forefront for the safety of all shoppers while being very considerate to the needs and safety of those unable to wear protective coverings. We were able to shop with ease and managed to get all the items on our shopping list. The staff were very accommodating and under the circumstances they still remain positive and pleasant.
Well done and keep up the good work.
J. C.
We went to sainbury's petrol station as we were running on nearly an empty tank..only to find it was closed and even worse..the whole forecourt had building work...there wasn't even a sign at the entrance to the retail park at kingsway with any information to tell motorists about the closure..very dissappointed. Poor treatment of there customers..
L. H.
A very good Sainsburys to shop at, with a better choice of some things to the Kingsway Sainsburys where I also shop.
P. B.
Not the cheapest or the nearest supermarket, but good quality and fairly priced.
Plus, Chasing around different places for stuff is false economy. Cheaper in the end of to buy in one place and save on the time, fuel, and stress.
H.
Decent. Argos staff are really friendly
C. L.
Superstore is then word. Everything we wanted and beautiful store loads of places to park and quick check outs
B. A.
They have Kosher/halal Meat, not a huge selection but the essentials which is considerate [ well as considerate a corporation can be].. also plenty checkouts and never experienced long queues even rush hour.
R. N.
No complaints. Staff are friendly. Always have what I need & we'll stocked.
S. T.
Use this place at least once a week and always have what I'm looking for
a. h.
Has everything I need, be nice to get organic limes but not essential. A good cross section of foods, staff are really helpful. Has a good range of meat free, gluten free products too. Household goods are good too but can a little expensive , but there's an Argos in store so you have more choice, cant go wrong really. The clothes section is hit and miss for me but overall if you need something in a rush you can find it if your not too fussy.
K. J.
Alot of choice inTU upstairs.
Only come now and then shopping here as people arent socially distancing. I find prices higher here than tesco or asda.
N. O.
Great super market great service
N. T.
Always a good selection especially for cloths
F. L.
Nice layout of the shop, with large aisles and a great "free from" selection.
Only loses points from often not having some of the products I want because they ran out and haven't restocked.
R. F.
It's many months since I have been able to go inside a Sainsbury's store and have had to manage with 'click n collect '. The service is usually excellent but the people who actually choose the produce are unreliable. Many times I have had below average quality fruit and veg included in my shopping. Quite a disappointment when there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
P. S.
We at SOTA Training always use this Sainsbury's (Osmaston Park) for the supply of Sandwich Platters (20 Quarters) we provide for our Confined Space Rescue Team delegates when attending training courses in the Brian Clough Business Centre. Best value and quality we have been able to locate in this area.
s. r.
I work here so you better like it
J. W.
Love the toasted tea cake , got what we wanted
R. D.
This place has ample of parking and it's adjacent to B&Q,plus it has a filling station and car wash facility.plus it has a sashi Chinese dish made to order now.
L.
Fantastic level of service this moring. Karen was great with wonderful. Karen needs to work for the un negation team as she was very good about informing the bad news that the full breakfast are still not on the menu
R.
A great selection of children's clothing. Supermarket is easy to navigate and always able to find the foods I am looking to buy.
J. W.
No cafe, yet no sign they are going to use the space. Is this a retailer that has lost direction?
seems tired and drab.
reasonable selection of food related items.
M. R.
Went with the wife for a bit of clothes shopping then to the food hall to pick up a few bits
R. M.
Always a quick visit for me. Safe social distance in place for the customers. Ample things to buy, TU clothes are never a disappointment and always find what i want
M. H.
Good place to get most things. Dry cleaner located outside also quite useful. Lloyds pharmacy inside also useful
A. M.
Evening shop this week. Not busy. All staff wearing masks, but very few customers. Some gaps on the shelves. Most items available, but a little less choice.
N. R.
Had a ten pound voucher and got a selection of coffee half prices.
The Caffè was fine.
Y. R.
Customer service is brilliant always welcoming. Also did some clothes shopping during the covid lockdown. Vegetable are fresh so basically you pay for good stuff. Having a argos is always handy during lockdown did some shopping while being stratified by the rules for public safety
D. S.
Delivering to store. Quick unload.
K. H.
Love sainsburys can have a lot of bargains
c. f.
its a quality store what you expect from sainsburys. its reasonably priced. with a clothes section and argos in store you cant go wrong. the cafe serves a nice full breakfast when open.
C. B.
The queuing system set up up at most sainsburys stores is in my opinion unnecessary, measures are already in place to keep customers safe but the system in place to enter the stores is really taking this situation too far.. treating shoppers with the common sense they deserve would be a far better approach, also the demise of the fresh fish and meat counters could prove a costly move to the supermarket chain as many customers will simply shop elsewhere.
j. f.
Big and clean store, good quality fresh fruit and veg, slightly more expensive
R. L.
The food in the cafe is good most of the time but they need to clean their tables more often. The parking space is reasonable, not too small. But the signs need to be more clear of what parts are one way.
M. C.
Lateish on Saturday evening meant the place was pretty empty, easier to get around. Only 2 checkouts open but we didn't have to wait for long.
h. l.
I must say I do like their 1st floor of clothing for kids, females and males. Food is nice to but pricey unless u can wait for offers.
W. B.
Easy to park, store easy to get round and good stock of products.
D. M.
Some of the staff were very rude otherwise I would have given a higher rating
J. G.
Strong coffee in the cafe, but I didn't eat here, so I can't comment on the food. Great selection of clothes for men women and children on the upper level. Good choice of home accessories downstairs along with the usual food etc.
D. S.
Really pleasant experience aimlessly wandering the aisles of my favourite supermarket. If you're looking for potatoes, broccoli or any other common household veg, this is truly the place to be!
v. g.
Fantastic big supermarket. Lots of lovely homeware and beauty products. Great variety and very clean and tidy.
I. A.
A nice place for family shopping
I. A.
A great place to shop, light and spacious, spotlessly clean with wide aisles ideal for disabled shoppers. There is a large cafe on the first floor accessed via lift or travellator, toilets on both floors. Sells everything from fresh fish to clothing. Produce always very fresh and there is a great deli. Even an Argos in store, B&Q on site and a petrol station, together with enormous car park combines to make an ideal shopping centre.
P. U.
Good amount of parking here. Great number of spaces for families. Good amount of items to buy here; clothes, Blue-rays, fresh food. They have a nice cafe here. Petrol station is on property along with a pharmacy and key cutting (with Timpsons). Would recommend.
N. F.
It is a great Sainsbury's, good location plenty of parking space. Love the hot food for lunch time. You can pretty much buy everything here from electronics to food and it is well stocked even in different clothes sizes.
r. p.
One of the best Sainsbury's, tremendous range of products, nice wide ailes! We visit regularly now we are under eased restrictions.
R. R.
You can't go wrong with this store. It has everything you can possibly need. They made my life so much easier after they came up with the self scan machines.
s. s.
I love the staff and the shop I hate self service tills if I wanted to have a robot shop I would have shopped online .I queue up patiently and wait looking at the fact the till numbers get less and quite often one person man's a silly amount of tills and if I have anything reduced any age restricted or medicine there wouldn't be a point .Don't get me started on the bagging area size and sensitivity. Can you tell I worked in retail I can scan I choose not to .Thanks to all the staff on a weekend and the cafe staff for my coffee .I still use you albeit reluctantly because if you loose any more tills I will walk coop have vowed not to take the tills out so listen to your customer service needs no more tills to disappear please xx
J. C.
Only for petrol
No diesel on 12/04/22
A. P.
It's a modern Sainsbury's that has large sections and it doesn't feel like they are missing anything. The homeware side is larger than the Sainsbury's on Kingsway and it feels like a nicer place to shop also. There are self scanning machines which makes it a breeze, there is also a lot of different types of food (vegetarian/gluten free).
It's a nice Sainsbury's where you can find basically everything you are looking for without having to go to another store afterwards for things they didn't have in stock - which has been my experience with Aldi etc.
S. R.
Staff pleasant and very helpful go there again soon qualiy food quality shop
K.
Sainsbury's own gift cards do not scan in their checkouts, this is the second card not to work. Otherwise a good shopping experience.
i. S.
Great shop to visit with a great choice of fresh food a and tins. The bakery does great fresh bread rolls cakes and cobs. There is also a great choice in the freezer as well.
The wines and spirits and beers are great with some great prices as well. They also have great ends with great prices as well.
The checkout always have plenty of staff on them. Just a great shop to visit.
M. F.
Wide variety of products , Europeans products as well.
S. B.
Wanted to say a big thank you to a very helpful lady on Saturday (4/7/20) at the Derby store - called Greta. Greta was on Covid/numbers allowed entry at the main door. I was visiting my daughter who had limited mobility having broken a bone in her foot earlier that week. I asked if there were any wheelchairs available and Greta not only went and got one but also cleaned it down when I returned it (I had offered to spray it). The store was well stocked and we got all that we needed.
J. H. B.
I prefer to shop here, as the shop is well stocked, clean, tidy, very friendly staff always willing to help. Competitive prices, excellent fresh fruit and veg section, also the meat, and butchery section, bakery, also upstairs, ladies, men's and children's fashions, kept nice and tidy and the staff don't stand near you while you look for what you Would like to buy. Thanks Sainsbury's my number 1 shop.
M. R.
Standard Sainsbury's supermarket, nice size with good range of produce. Shelves are usually stocked well. Sometimes a little hard to find certain items.
M. G.
Great place to shop with the added covenience of Argos, store always use to be half empty until B&Q arrived next door which had relocated from Kingsway Retail Park. Then all of a sudden this place becomes busy.
P. M.
Large isles well stocked
I. A.
Favourite place to buy something...
z. s.
Some great general products. A massive range of foods and a very big parking you where you are almost guaranteed to get a spot. Has great services and just generally plenty of good stuff. Also sells a lot other things but mainly foodstuffs.
L. M.
Just wanted to say how lovely the staff are here.. especially in the Pharmacy area. Really, lovely, lovely staff who are more than happy to advise you on anything.
D. C.
your one stop shop for all your groceries.
R. H.
Excellent I go here so I can use the self scan wonder round pack your bags as you go is the future. Will look at using ALDI again when they eventually go this way.
R. L.
Not happy this time. Had a lovely shop got some bargains and loaded up with store cupboard items as well as plenty of fresh fruit and salad. Gordon on the checkout saw fit to throw everything he scanned and even threw my nectar back at me. Will avoid him in future.
Z.
Place is massive, lots of room ,not cramped like some other stores.
Different sections with all sorts of stuff
V. S.
Very helpful and friendly staff, excellent choice of products and home stuff
C. R.
Have lots of variety fantastic clothing range
S. F.
Went to fill the car with petrol..... Having had several diesel cars you've guessed it! Started filling with diesel. Alan in the kiosk was really amazing and looked after me as if I were his own mum. Hence 5 stars and a huge thank you. Sainsbury's should be delighted to have such a caring person working firvthdm.
J. M.
Good experience in Sainbury's. Well managed queue to enter the shop, wide aisles allowing social distancing and a short queue to check out with friendly service from the checkout worker.
S. C.
Good quality and we'll priced but there are still things which are cheaper at Lidle and Aldi.
J. P.
Positives:
+ Great store that's generally well-stocked.
+ Large-sized cafe upstairs.
+ Huge car park.
+ Cheap(ish) fuel.
+ Argos in-store.
+ The majority of the staff are very friendly and most helpful.
+ Adjacent to a Timson's and B&Q
Negatives:
- Nowhere near enough Parent & Baby spaces, especially in comparison to the number of Disabled spaces, most of which, are vacant, no matter what time of day/week you visit.
- The public toilets aren't the most pleasant, and could do with a more regular clean.
- The food served in the cafe can be very 'hit and miss' depending on how busy they are.
- They removed the 'dedicated' Customer Services desk and replaced it with a Bureau de Change. Instead, the 'Customer Services' desk now takes shape as an 'unmanned' checkout, so you have to flag a member of staff down to get them to help you at the tillpoint. Worst decision they've made at this store for a long time.
- Never enough checkouts open.
G. J.
This Sainsbury's isn't to bad. I prefer to shop local but this is great for nacceites plus I've been to the café before lockdown which I've got to say the food was fab but heavily understaffed and the staff in there are either really slow or working to hard.
D. M. (.
Very large parking area. Large selection of household items, clothing as well as all the usual groceries.
Don't know what's gone wrong but most every bag of easy peelers has one manky orange in it even when the best before date is a couple of days to go. Perhaps they are staying in the chillers too long.
M. J. A.
A good place to shop near and handy
R. B.
Sainsbury is always a pleasure to visit, good range of foods especially fresh, cafe is also very good, the breakfast omelette leaves you full for most of the day and is always cooked perfectly, the staff are very helpful in both the store and the cafe, would highly recommend that you pay them a visit, I don't think you will regret it
J. M.
Always well stocked and staff are always great. Knocked one star off for one of the security guards that has a bit of Hi-Vis syndrome about him.
E. W.
This sainburys is fine. Just been disappointed recently with just a few staff not social distancing. And one member of staff repeatedly wearing a mask but not over his nose!
D. A.
Always happy to help, Barbara on the checkouts always helps my mum pack her bags as she is 86 years young
S. R.
Love this store it's so big! Always well stocked. Includes grocery, deli counter, hot counter, pizza counter, very big clothes section, home, cafe, Argos, bakery. Only criticism is it could do with more parent and child parking
B.
Great shop always different stuff from ASDA Morrisons. Plenty of parking.
R. J.
A pleasant store in general.
b. s.
Great place for every thing you need.
M. B.
Nice and clean staff helpful didn't have to wait to long to get to the tills.
J. W.
Great store, so much bigger than before with more choices. It has clothes, home furnishings and great sushi bar. Argos is inside the store so can grab food and gifts at the same time 😉😁
R. H.
Not too busy, shame they haven't got the deli section up and running yet. Plenty of self service tills has only had a few items
J. H.
A very convenient superstore, has a nice cafe, good selection of goods from electronics and clothes to it's little pharmacy. Also has a lift and escalator to top floor so definitely handicap and wheelchair friendly!
D. W.
Lots of variety in items they sell but doesn't have many foreign drinks
L. L.
Love shoping at sainburys lots of great products but has a suggestion the freezer section needs improving beyond chicken n fish not much else .
R. B.
Due to Covid restrictions, and staff monitoring footfall at the entrance, a member of staff helped monitor my pushbike while I shopped due to not having a lock. Something that they didn't need to do amongst every extra requirement in the New guidelines.
J. H.
Nicely sized branch which stocks a broader range of products than many others; super upstairs section devoted to clothing. I go out if my way to shop here whenever time permits as I am more likely to be able to buy what I need when compared to my my closer, smaller branch at the Wyvern.
L. D.
Great value, great products. Checking fruit and vegetables more often required!!! Not so fresh
R. A.
Our local sainnsburys has a massive area with really good stock. The magazine selection is great, the toys and games is good, it has a big cafe and even an argos in it. However food prices from sainsburys are higher than your standard supermarket and the world food section will set you back a lot. I would definitely reccomend
R. B.
The store was huge and well laid out enjoyed shopping here.
L. S.
Great parking. Don't use the cafe for food. Minimum 30 minute wait after a long queue time. My 4 year old was ready to melt down. Drinks served quickly after 15 minutes queuing.
M. A.
Contains a can't be arsed argos
K. R.
Nice big store..one of the biggest that I've seen with two levels.
A. M.
Excellent parking an easy to get to, only fault is little expensive but good quality food, so you get what you pay for i suppose.
S. N.
How was my experience at Sainsbury today? Well, I came in for a punnet of plums and got more than I bargained for. Not quite sure how I feel about it all. 🏵️
E. C. V.
Only go their for clothing as wouldnt do my weekly shop as dont stock the items I like plus too expensive but love the cooked pizzas.
K. J.
Very good lots of choice
J. R.
Shop is good but the traffic situation before entering us always an event. Never go in the late afternoon otherwise you will encounter this.
S. Y.
Very spacious fantastic choice of clothes on upper floor food part well stocked and very clean
n. a.
On going issues with smart shop when using mobile app. As no network inside shop. Sainsbury WiFi instore does not work.
W. R. O. S.
Great place to shop, can always find a bargain, they have also added new self service checkouts. Also their clothing section is quite good, cafe/restraunt is cool, and plenty of parking!!!👌👍
J. M.
Though the staff were very helpful, none of the card machines were working neither were the cash withdrawal machines. As I don't have contactless facility, I nearly had to leave the skirt I needed and had spent ages looking for. No-one warned us on the way in. Embarrassing to have cards declined when you know your salary has just gone in!!
A. J.
Largest sainsburys store in Derby. Has a large clothing section, house hold appliances, decoration items, toys and groceries off course! Now even has a Argos and a cafe too...
M. M.
A lot of the shelves were empty or they were out of stock!
A. p.
A very big supermarket...just about everything you can think of under one roof. There's a cafe and a clothing section with good selections for male and female and children...Outside there's a Big DIY store. B and Q.. There's a Cinema 5min drive away..
D. W.
Large store with plenty of choice. Household goods, groceries, toys, audio and much more. There is an upper floor that houses clothing and shoes for men women and children. Self serve tills as well as staff operated ones available. Petrol station too.
D. T.
A very good place to shop and staff are very friendly
B. H.
Why do you have one person serving when it's about 8 people waiting to buy cigarette or put your lottery on
G. G.
Great store friendly staff
r. W.
Wide aisles, well stocked shelves.
Would like more "old fashioned" checkouts with assistants, instead of self checkouts.
A. D.
Great selection of groceries and general home wares available here.
Had some good clothing deals too. Better quality than the high street and cost effective.
C. B.
Very helpful staff, showed me where I needed to go. Very cheerful and easy to talk to. Good service
T. J. B.
Sainsbury's was good again today picked up a few bargains
M. G.
Well stocked and organized shop
M. O.
I have been buying fresh fish from the fish counter for at least the last two years, always on a Friday morning, between 8.20-8.40 am for an elderly relative. It's part of my routine so that I can deliver the fish on my way to doing other errands for elderly relatives so the time slot has been worked out in advance. When I called at the fish counter last Friday 1/9/17 at 8.40 am I was met by the man that usually serves me only to be told that due to "New Company Policy" he cannot serve me until 9.00 am as the tills do not reboot until then. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of, the store opens at 8.00 am but I cannot buy fish until 9.00 am! Why can't they reboot all of the tills at 8.00 am? I will be going to Asda for my fish in future....at 8.20-8.40 am.
F.
Struggling to see the attraction of Sainsburys, its more expensive than Asda or Tesco with a much narrower choice of products.
S. P.
There's lots to praise about this large supermarket: good selection, large car park, excellent cafe. It does get very busy, though, and queing is often necessary at the tills and in the cafe.
S. C.
Really healpfull staff! Customer service desk always go and find a double seated trolley for me. Always have what I need with lots of choice. Please more 'parent parking' spaces - or monitor who is parking in them??
J. P.
Love shop
R. H.
Good store with range of non-food (including Habitat and Argos) as well as quality fresh food and groceries.
P. S.
Sainsbury's is ok and the point system is great but I only shop here on the rare occasion, because I find it quite expensive on the type of shopping that I purchase, this is probably not the same for everybody else, but sometimes my shop can be anything between £3 or £5 more than other places, the things that really draw me in are when they have the 25% off TU Clothing and I would say the petrol is a good price usually on par with the likes of ASDA.
j. h.
I love that I can get house bits and bobs and clothes and food all from the same store at a reasonable price
M. P.
Good place to shop. Good walking distance, easy access
A. t. A.
I like this store but the some of the staff members are really rude,on the other hand, few staff members are alright and have humble vibes.
A. W.
Great supermarket with a bit of everything for all customers. Do be aware that recently the stories had a change around where some items are not where they once was like the magazine I'll game consoles and plus there is no concierge desk when you walked through the door on the left-hand side anymore.
G. E.
Great staff, fantastic variety of produce. Takeaway pizza counter is brilliant
A. L.
A great place to shop. Can run out of items later on in the day. Watch the busy times. Shame about the closed cafe.
a. t. (.
One of my favourite shopping centres. Very good selection of fresh fruits and veg, great selection of fresh breads. And fresh meats. Love sainsburys
And never to busy to be in and out.
B. S. T.
Layout is perfectly good, everything is really easy to find.
L. H.
Large store over 2 floors (clothing and café upstairs). Store has Argos, a Bureau de change and a pharmacy. Also has a deli, meat and fish counter and a bakery. Large range of products, including toys, household goods, soft furnishings, books, dvds and CDs (as well as a small range of vinyl). Well lit and laid out. Manned and self service tills, a customer service desk and a tobacco/lottery desk. There is a large car park, a petrol station and Timpsons. Great store.
M. F.
Impressive Sainsbury on a retail park out of town on the Derby Outer Ring Road. No 4 and 4a bus stops adjacent. Has separate fairly extensive areas for housewares and electrical goods. Staff seem well trained and efficient. Never had much of a wait to checkout here, even when busy.
J. M.
It was ok, we could buy a number of good things, even though it's a little bit more expensive than some other shops like Tesco and Aldi.
S. C.
Good staff, helpful and informative. Prices are the normal everyday supermarket value you would expect. With the added decent electricals here and there and also a good pasta salad counter.
C. M.
Nice selection of produce, toys/books and home stuff, had everything I needed and more. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive shopping experience. Clean. Friendly staff.
i. h.
Massive store with a huge car park that has many blue badge and parent with child spaces. There is a good cafe in store. You can also walk through the car park to shop at the B&Q store if you want to ( no need to move your car it's only 100 yards away ). There is a Sainsburys petrol station on site too that's one of the cheapest in the area!
S. D.
Large super market compared to the one in the city centre. Variety of groceries and spirits available. ATM machine is also within the store entrance. Sainsbury's petrol station is also very close by. Crowd is less during the weekdays.
C. s.
I collected an item I brought from eBay, it save's you missing the delivery. It was quick.
l. n.
Sainsbury is one of the safest shop to do your weekly are monthly shopping, thank you Sainsbury you have been amazing 👏
u. i.
Has everything you need and great service. My weekly shopping is done here amd it's great.
R. K.
Food, homeware and clothing available at this supermarket. And a cafe, good amount of car parking. A Timpson shoe repair cabin outside the supermarket. Close by B and Q store.
R. D.
Hi,
I've been meaning to send Sainsbury's a message for quite a while but haven't got round to it until now.
I would like to commend an employee of yours at the Forester Park branch in Derby Nearly every time he seems to have a beaming smile, is very helpful, energetic, relates very well to colleagues but always puts customers first.
His attitude seems exemplary and maybe should be used as a model for all your workforce.
just thought I'd let you know my opinion
A. H.
The worse cafe I have been in. Half an hour to get served by a member of staff who quite clearly didn't give a damn. Only one staff member serving and lots of people complaining. I only queued as usually leave disabled partner in cafe while I shop. I ordered him a bacon cob which never arrived and then had to battle for a refund. Shopping is a good experience but shall avoid the cafe
C. P.
Was not impressed with this store no monitoring on the door like at the wyvern store. Went to self serve and felt very enclosed having to squeeze through people to get out. Won't be visiting this store again will stick to the wyvern much better
k. m.
I love shopping at Sainsbury's I will be safe and it's fresh bread and meat are great missing the beautiful cakes hope to see them back soon
N. O.
Great place to buy food that you later want to eat.
D. A.
Typical Sainsbury's, had everything in I wanted. Staff could have been more helpful on both occasions I have needed help though.
D. B.
Massive free parking. Store was not packed for a Saturday afternoon and checkout was reasonable. Good range of products. Managed to find Tamari (like soya sauce).
D. C.
Use this store a lot, but having to walk the maize on the way into the store, is now putting older people off, going back and forth when entering is a little bit annoying now. Just Saying
V. P.
Everything is so fresh but some items are expensive
M. P.
Sainsbury's is Sainsbury's- good quality groceries with the advantage that this site sells everything fro. Clothes to knives and forks!! An Argos is also in the same store. Some if the staff could do with cheering up!!
M. B.
Top supermarket, has a good cafe and clothing section up a level, easily accessed via ramp escaltor. Plenty of parking spaces as it shares it with a massive B&Q. Cheapest petrol for miles. Situated on the Derby inner ring road near Rolls-royce factories.
M. T.
I love going to Sainsbury s as i find it easier to get round due to wider aisles. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. You can get practically anything you want all under one roof. Parking is good too. I am disabled so if i say it's good then it definitely is and at the moment there is 25% off T U clothing so it really is worth a visit. I use the store on Osmaston Park Road in Derby
N. B.

Typical Sainsbury supermarket. Very quiet on a Wednesday afternoon. Good range of products. Be careful as the use by/best before dates are often quite short.
J. B.
Always got everything I need! Friendly staff too.
y. m.
One of the best supermarket in Derby and apart from that I can say everything under one shed.
K. A.
Good well laid store with a mezz uperfloor for clothing and cafe. Plenty of free parking. It can be a problem getting out onto main road at busy time of day.
C. M.
Great for grocery and clothes shopping with a cafe and nice staff
L. I.
The staff were extremely helpful, particularly Aki, who assisted me with my purchase and carried it to my car! Much appreciated.
O. P.
Very expensive
£78 for 5 bags worth of food shopping which didn't even cover fresh food or frozen
R. W.
I have been shopping here for years now because It's so convenient. There's plenty of parking spaces available
S. H.
This is the biggest Sainsbury's I've been to and it was brilliant. Great selection of clothing and homewares, and a fantastic range of food.

We love this store - it has a great selection of non food items and a whole floor for clothing. The cafe's pretty good too and the car park is massive.
T. H.
Staff have always been nice, always willing to help you. Sometimes go out of their way to try and help. Prices are good from my point of view.

I love my local Sainsbury's. No doubt great quality. Prices not bad, but definitely beats other national supermarkets on quality.
T. J.
Staff pleasant very helpful 😊
S. K.
to be honest, its one of the best quality and cheapest places to shop, i use sainburys for loads of differant reaasons, one of the best things is the loyalty points, every 2-3 months i get to fill up my tank for nothing.
J. D.
A large range of Sainsbury's own branded products. Like so many chain stores lacking top major brands. Free and easy parking.
J. S.
Been going here for a while and always friendly and helpful staff
M. N.
Love this place. Good location and competitive prices.
L. B.
Large TU and home ware range with friendly staff.

Very busy in store, my last visit was reminiscent of pre-pandemic visits.
J. W.
Great store, so much bigger than before with more choices. It has clothes, home furnishings and great sushi bar. Argos is inside the store so can grab food and gifts at the same time 😉😁

V. F.
Plenty of variety
J. B.
Very good quality food and friendly staff.
S.
Straight in picked up 1 item, straight through the self-serve till.
A. P.
It's a modern Sainsbury's that has large sections and it doesn't feel like they are missing anything. The homeware side is larger than the Sainsbury's on Kingsway and it feels like a nicer place to shop also. There are self scanning …
v. t.
I tend to shop at Sainsbury's Osmaston most days. My only complaint is that there are never enough checkouts open regardless of the time of day. Also the nectar points coupons often fail to scan at the checkout and that means having to queue again at customer service to get my points redeemed.
R. H.
A calm shopping experience compared with aldi, though still some numpties not wearing masks.
J. N.
It's a brilliant shop where you can buy stuff! We when to Argos at the back!
E. J.
Usually a good experience. Can be quews at lunchtime when Rollse Royce are shopping for lunch. Fresh bread rolls not always stocked.
S. E.
Good petrol prices and can pay at pump
J. K.

My go-to Sainsburys, not much to say but this one is well stocked and a larger store so has a decent clothing department, PLUS it has an internal branch of Argos so great for click & collect etc.
D. T.

A. G.
Went to purchase 24 cups for my Macmillan coffee morning ! I took several bags with me to carry out the shop but I didn't realise s ainsburys offered not the slightest bit of tissue paper so that I could stack them and I was told they would only replace any damage ones if they were found to be damaged inside the shop- unbelievable !! Even dunelm has tissue paper !!!
D. W.
Big superstore was a little disappointing as the shelves were bare in places and I couldn't get some of the items i wanted which i thought they would have being a superstore hence my visit there.

Really helpful person on self-service checkout. Not fake customer service but congruent. I was impressed.
N. B.
Very large store with good range of homewares and clothing as well as the usual produce!
S. R.
As you would expect. Average Size. Hardly any staff to ask questions to, if you need advice. Expensive - too.... Stick with Asda. 👍
H. M.
